My theory on the newest Life Series!

This started as a couple sentences and turned into an entire essay..

With the teaser we saw on Oli’s stream as well as posted to Grian’s insta this is my personal yap on what I think everything may mean. Take this as a grian of salt i am just a girl and her insane ramblings.

SPOILERS FOR EVERYTHING UNDER THE CUT!!

THE TEASER ITSELF

In the teaser it started with three hearts red yellow green they then stretch to form a clock the yellow being the clock hands and the green and red forming the edges of the clock. The clock hands tick backwards about two times before everything swirls into a circle before forming a infinity symbol. As the clock is circling we see the evo sybol as it briefly flashes. The infinity symbol then forms a closed eye. The eye opens, it has a purple iris and it looks to the left then to the right before blinks as it zooms out. We then see July 2025 and a heart with half of the heart black in the style of a life series logo. At the end the eye and the three hearts briefly flashes with the last frame being the three hearts but greyscale and an upside down eye.

PAST LIFE

This is genuinely a pretty solid theory because the teaser definitely hints towards it. The clock ticks backwards which would obvousillt hint going back in time (seen below). There were multiple hints to Evo including the Evo sign and a watcher eye maybe hinting at going back to something like Evo(also seen below). A concept could be that as the series progresses we get closer to 1.21.5 from session to session starting in beta like how evo went OR we could go BACK in time although i feel this is unlikely because as you go back in time to earlier versions of minecraft its easier to die and the pvp is worse which wouldnt really lend itself to a finale episode and/or final fight. And at the end of each episode they go to the portal to the next update like they did in Evo in a sort of secret life style thing when they all collected at the secret keeper to end each episode they go to the portal to the next update like they did in Evo in a sort of secret life style thing when they all collected at the secret keeper to end each episode. Another concept could be that the players have to find the portal around the map and each episode the location changed. This concept is unlikely with the small map size but i am just writing down anything that comes to mind. Grian also mentioned in Olis' stream “Everyone is excited for this one” and this may be a reach because everyone is always excited for a life series but with the theory of Past Life and with so many lifers being on Evo I think it would add extra hype if it was an evo focused series.

GENERAL LIFE SERIES YAP

With the teaser being on Oli's stream i definetly think he will be on the life series because if hes not then Grian would've just dropped it onto his insta. I am so hyped for Oli on the Life Series because i love his streams but this man does not upload videos that often let’s be honest.

I also think the heart we saw in the " July 2025" (as seen below) will be the logo for this life series like how we had the dice for wilde life and the sand timer for limited life. I will also like to point out how the heart kinda looks like the heart we see on Grian merch website, i dont think this is a link to anything instead it being a coincidence I just noticed and wanted to point that out. I also think that the purple circle that we saw with the eye may be a big thing.

I think this series may have something that will connect two or all players. I think it maybe something like what we saw in Double Life how two soulmates were connected. This is honestly a shot in the dark but here is why I think this, in the teaser we saw an inifity symbol, a heart only half colored in, and we saw the green and red heart circling around eachother to form a clock (all of these are shown below). I think the infinity symbol hints to players having to connect and the heart shows the players will need to find their other half, lastly my biggest stretch i think the green and red heart circling eachother could potentially show how players will need to team up to complete tasks or just make it through the series. Tbh this is a massive stretch and honestly doesn't make that much sense but i thought of it so it's going here.

I think there's going to be a connection to the watchers/evo like we saw in Secret Life with the secret keeper and the (almost) evo symbol since we saw the actual evo symbol and the eye.

At the end we saw the three hearts but greyscale do i have a theory on what this means? No but I feel I should include it into my general yap since it was part of the teaser. Another thing i noticed but don't have a theory on is that they iris of the eye is just a circle and not colored in, i think this is a stylistic choice though. We also see an upside down eye at the very end before the greyscale hearts.

I think that there may be color based roles like we saw in Secret Life because in the first frames we see the hearts and the red and green have a little shine but yellow doesnt have one? And with the way the colors circle around the yellow clock hands. I am now re-reading this and realize i sound insane because I don't think Grian would add that to the teaser and go that in depth but it's a shot in the dark I guess we'll see. Future Trish here, the yellow heart has a shine I was just going insane this is what being a life series fan does to you i guess.

Alec Hardy: Any kind of detective job wich isnt DI as in the series, i honestly don't really see the guy with any other job mostly as the whole series is basically kind of about him being a DI so this one is hard.

Crowley: An actor, as the dr who franchise exists in good omens he 100% played the doctor just cuz he wanted to test acting out and ended up secretly loving it or he'd either be a massive punk who just rebels and pickpockets or something.

The (10th) doctor: One of those guys who makes travel/nature documenties. I mean, he's always running and knows about loads of things so he would 100% yapp about it to a camera.

After the merge, Atlas still doesn't make contact with his ninja team. However, at the Tournament of Sources, the team find their two missing ninja on the wrong side. (Ninjago x Male elemental master OC)(Lloyd Garmadon x Male elemental master OC)(Elemental master of The Supernatural)

A/N: Anyone listen to the Supergrass song with the same title. I kept singing it while writing this.

Roby spins on his levitating board as he announces the next round. I stand, leaning against one of the nearby temples. The ninjas—my past teammates—are gathered at one end. I spot three new ninjas: one wearing orange, one with cat ears, and another… oh god, it’s another Kai. Speaking of which, there’s a missing Kai. Also present is Lloyd. I notice he has finally taken up his role as master. I would congratulate him if I weren’t trying to gain Ras’ trust.

Roby snaps me out of my daze as he loudly (and annoyingly) hypes up the crowd. “Are you ready? I think you are. Yeah!” His large head is projected onto the massive TVs on the top display. “When they talk about the Tournament of the Sources, they often say ‘Legendary’ and ‘Mythic.’ But now they’ll also say ‘Mega-tight’ and ‘Stang-zoot’—” He continues, overly exaggerating his movements. I snarl, quite annoyed by Roby; he’s just not my type of person. I prefer calm—mostly—collected individuals, someone who can take charge. Be a reliable leader. Like Lloyd…. “—A new word I just made up, let the games continue!” However, I have to admit, that his flare and playfulness are most welcoming. Furthermore, it's quite comforting to see the ninja after such a long time. "Get your umbrella hats on causes it's about to rain elemental powers!" God this guy talks a lot. Nearly as much as Jay. Dude yapps. "First up today, she's smoking hot and likes to fight a lot. It's Wyldfyre, Elemental Master of Heat!" One of the new ninjas, I have very high hopes for this one. She was trained by Lloyd so how could I doubt that much. Since the merge, I have noticed a spike in the elemental masters, and a lot of new elemental powers appearing. I watch as the ninja hype up Wyldfyre, cheering for her. "Versus a spooky man, with a somehow more soulless gaze. Atlas! Elemental Master of, BOO, Supernatural."

There are loud gasps as I walk to the front of Ras' group, most of my team smirking widely at the ninja. Lloyd looks at me, his gaze soft and sad, with just a hint of sharp betrayal. Maybe, that gaze is enough to break my facade, that is, if I was fighting him head-on. However, fortunately, I am spared from having to fight my best friend - and maybe lover? I walk towards the middle of the entry of the arena, Wyldfyre doing the same, with Lloyd stalking just behind. I look away from Lloyd, pulling up my face mast to conceal just half of my face. I suppose it helps to cover the soft smile that temps itself to dance onto my lips. Or, the smirk that fights to plaster itself on my face. Though, Lloyd - oh the confident one - decides to ignore my obvious caution to stay away, by grabbing one of my hands. With a matching one of his and using the other to grip my neck scarf - one that he bought for me himself - this brings are faces inches closer. "Lloyd..." I whisper cautiously. My eyes widen in shock, he's never been this angry or forward. At least, not at me. "Where have you been?!" He shouted, causing me to - attempt - to step back. I shove him back, dusting myself off. Fixing my quickly cracking facade.        "-First to get it out of the circle wins!" I only catch the last part as I reposition myself next to my opponent. "Wyldfyre, I know you're itching for a good fight. But please, just go for the flag and win the game." Lloyd commanded. However, Wyldfyre seemed to totally disregard this information, instead deciding to ignore him entirely. "You know, I would listen to him if I were you. With his advice, maybe there's a chance I won't absolutely eat you alive." I empathise it by using a finger to hook around my mask, dragging it down. I smirk, opening my mouth, and showing them my lower and upper fangs. Sticking out my long, black tongue. I grin and lick my lips, putting the mask back in its original place. "Let's go spooky stuff!" Cheers Cinder from the sidelines. Lloyd looks at me with a mix of shock and anger, I watch as he shivers at my sinister tone.

Then the bell rings, and we both sprint forward, though I'm at an advantage and easily overtake her. Before I can get to the flag though, she shoots fire in front of me, I easily use the small fragment of Realm crystal in my ring to teleport behind her. Using spinjitzu to hit her into the air, I teleport over her in the air. I clasp my hands together and use all my force to hit her back, sending her flying towards the floor. Before I can use my spinjitzu again, Lloyd shouts from the sidelines. "Master Wu taught you that, you know longer have the honour to use it!" I look at him, stopping my movements. Instead of using spinjitzu, I pull out a wolf mask - which was previously strapped to my back. "Fine." I put the mask on, Ras hits the gong and I go into a shatter spin. Hitting Wyldfyre head-on, she flies out of the stadium, slamming against a wall. I walk towards the flag, grasping it and tossing it somewhere over my shoulder.

"We have a winner! Wooo." Roby announces. I turn facing my ex-team, Nya and Zane look away, as if too ashamed to look at me. However, Cole speaks up. "Atlas...Really? With them? Did we mean nothing to you? Me? I thought we were close, you were like a little brother. Zane? Nya? Jay? what about Kai? He was your mentor, a big brother, even closer than us. And.. Lloyd? How could you throw that away to side with them?" I look away, ashamed. I should be ashamed, to betray them. To betray Lloyd. But, I'm not really betraying them if I'm being a double agent. Right? However, once again, I'm broken from my thoughts by Roby. "The elemental transfer." He says though he doesn't look very happy with the outcome of the match. I spread my arms, bowing dramatically, accepting the gift of Heat. I throw a fireball into the air, causing little specks to rain down. "Flashy." says an unknown voice from behind me. Probably owned by Roby or Cinder.

And that concludes the matches for tonight.

danny hunts. for fun.

she normally just goes into the woods and hunts rabbits and deer. like she has a massive hunting rifle just mounted on her back at all times. no matter what.

she has a criminal record and a mug shot. however she is normally caught hunting in private wood property and shooting endangered things.

she has gone to prison with dally before. and almost always she is posed as an “helper” in dallys crimes.

danny and dally died together. when dally died and fell down, danny grabbed her gun almost instantly. she was only shot once, but ultimately died to blood loss.

they both ADORE greasy food. like it’s almost a problem

they sleep in a abandoned barn. that’s it lol

sometimes when dally is sleeping danny brushes his hair. he normally wakes up half way and cusses her out. but he does deeply appreciate it, and danny knows this.

Ugh I know I said I got a break but I can't help but let myself infodump out of nowhere GAHHH

I'm too lazy and busy to make a proper image of him but this is my Self-Insert Ben 10 oc, Blake 15 !! It's literally just my Main Sona but as a Ben 10 oc BUT he's a lot more different than him !!

Despite being part of the omniverse AND being a Ben, Name is Blake!! Even so, he does have Benjamin in his name, just refers himself as his first name preferably

He first became "Blake 15" by finding his Omnitrix (Trix-F25, or Combatitrix) in a normal school field trip alongside his classmate and grandpa, since he just got the Combatitrix for the first time he freaked out and accidentally turned himself into Heatblast, causing destruction amongst a campsite his school visited which alerts his gramps and classmate, luckily Blake was not caught by his other classmates and teachers and was taken as a gas leak of some sorts. His grandpa knows about this device and explains to both Blake and said classmate of it's purpose and abilities, as the field trip gets cancelled and the trio get onto the RV to have their own trip instead.

There are around 24 aliens Blake is able to unlock, with a small chunk of aliens being species not seen in the prime/reboot series, around 6 of them have different names from their original counterpart (and his naming system is just as bad as Ben 23's) which includes :

Enormosaur (Humungosaur)

Bonecrusher (Wildmutt)

Shockatwist (Feedback)

Anglare (Ripjaws)

Titanicus (Way big)

About the Trix-F25, in Blake 15's universe, his Azmuth has made a few omnitrixes for different purposes/in an attempt to make a normal functioning, some were in affective or malfunctioning, some which he doesn't touch for his own personal, some..for other things! Trix-F25 was a sucessful prototype along with two other omnitrixes, and this being Azmuth's main focus, it is not just focused on attempting to make peace with other species by having the wearer transform into a million types of aliens, rather, because of it's other name Combatitrix, it focuses on showcasing the other combative skills of other species by letting the wearer have the strongest prime samples of multiple species in one device.

Although Azmuth deemed this to be dangerous because of the enhanced combative skills given to each DNA sample in the Combatitrix, he has his second assistant, Xylene, to give it to grandpa max, this ends in a battle with Vilgax and Xylene causing the Combatitrix to fall off the ship and land on the campsite, and now Azmuth, with just himself, has to go and try to take it back without alerting the power-hungry Vilgax who tracked the Omnitrix the whole time since it's creation.

Uhh YAP YAP YAPP basically Azmuth created the watch for the purpose to showcasing the combative skills of each alien, as well as giving some sort of boost to the samples to make them stronger than your average Omnitrix, this comes with an outcome though! It does take a mental toll onto Blake if he uses it to often and some of the alien's behaviour could bleed onto his human form, causing him to go berserk or just emotionally numb if used too excessively. I'll talk more about it soon BUUTT I gotta go, take all of this massive yappagraph for this specific Ben au :3

Ok, lets talk the Winter 2021 anime season

Dear god, there are so many shows airing. A ton of sequels, and a decent amount of new shows. I think I’ll actually break down what I’m interested in watching into two parts, sequels and new. Lets get started. 

Watching:

Sequels 

Jujutsu Kaisen - This is technically a continuation rather than a sequel, but the spirit is the same. This was my choice for favorite anime of the season fall 2020 so this continuation has me pretty hyped. 

Black Clover - Still continuing. The manga had a 6 month time skip and the anime did some anime only stories with the author’s direction to cover that time period and now it’s caught up to that time skip. Shit is about to go down and I am stoked. 

Attack On Titan: Final Season - So this started airing in December which makes for a strange airing schedule, but it’s technically continuing from the fall season into the winter season. Anyway, it is fucking fantastic and this week’s episode left us on a major cliff-hanger for 2 weeks. 

That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime S2P1 - Ok, so first... HOLY FUCK I’M SO EXCITED FOR THIS SEASON, IT’S GOING TO BE AMAZING. Second, yes this is part 1. Thanks to covid there are some longer running seasons that are being split up to accommodate the production schedule. So this part 1 is airing in winter, then in the spring the 4-koma comedy re-telling is airing, and then in summer part 2 of this season 2 will air. it’s annoying, but 3 continuous season of slime is a welcome thing. 

Re:Zero S2P2 - Alright, so this is the second half of summer 2020′s season 2 part 1. I have high expectations considering what we’ve already been given. 

Dr. Stone: Stone Wars (S2) - HOLY FUCK I’M SO FUCKING EXCITED FOR THIS SHOW, I LOVED THE FIRST SEASON AND AM READING THE MANGA AND OMG I CANNOT WAIT FOR MORE.

The Promised Neverland S2 - More of the promised neverland. I’ve heard that this season will go even harder than the first season and Emma will prove even more why she’s best girl, so bring it on. 

The Quintessential Quintuplets S2 - A second season of a decent harem show? Bring it on. 

Log Horizon S3 - So I didn’t watch this when the first 2 seasons aired years ago, 6 I think actually. That said it’s always been on my PTW list and when I heard season 3 was going to air I decided that now was the time to catch up; and wow am I glad I did. I binged the first 2 seasons over the last 3 weeks and I am so fucking invested now. I cannot wait for this next season. 

Higurashi GOU - this is continuing from last season and I’ll keep watching it, though I’m still not quite sure how to evaluate it. 

Yuru Camp S2 - WOOHOO!!!!! This was the chillest of chill shows that aired winter 2018 and I absolutely loved it. I’m so excited for this next season for more camping and adorable girls being chill. 

World Trigger S2 - So I was under the impression that there were already 2 seasons of this show, I watched most of it I think but it’s been so long I don’t really remember much. But this is being called season 2... so either this is retconning the previous season 2 or that was really just 1 big season despite the notation on some websites. Also a S3 has already been announced so I need to hurry up and rewatch this before the new season airs. But with 73 episodes that might take a bit of time. 

Armor Shop for Ladies and Gentlemen S2 - This is a sequel to the short anime of the same name. If you like it, you like it. 

New

Cells at Work S2 - Ok, technically this is a sequel, but I’m including it here because of something cool that’s happening with the next title. 

Cells at Work: Black - Why yes, this is a different Cells at Work title. This is based on the spin-off manga of the same title that gender swaps the cells from the main series and covers their work inside an extremely unhealthy body. This is going to be a grittier, bloodier, and bleaker show than the main one and in a fun airing scheduling event, they will be airing back to back. I’m quite excited for the both of these. 

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation - OMG I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS IS GETTING AN ADAPTATION! SADLY IT’S A SPLIT COUR SO THIS IS THE FIRST HALF OF SEASON 1 AND THE SECOND HALF WILL AIR LATER PROBABLY IN THE SUMMER. BUT THAT’S OK BECAUSE EVERYTHING I HAVE SEEN ABOUT THIS SO FAR TELLS ME THIS WILL BE A PRETTY DAMN FAITHFUL ADAPTATION AND IT IS GOING TO BE FANTASTIC. 

Horimiya - I’ve heard many good things about this romance show and am looking forward to it. 

Redo of Healer - Ok, here we go. This is going to be the outrage anime of the season. That is, if it is actually watched by people. It’s also getting 3 different levels of censoring so uh, I’ll have to check for the proper versions when it airs. 

So I’m a Spider, So What? - Ok, so funny story. I’d been hearing about this manga for a while so I decided to dive into it a few months back. As I read it, I thought it was pretty funny but I wondered if the anime adaptation would be great for a comedy manga about a reincarnated girl into a spider’s body. Then about 3 weeks ago, I realized I was reading the comedy spin-off instead of the main story. That said I’m still quite excited to see this adapted and I’ll get the manga after then anime is done. 

The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter - Hella ecchi, actually pretty fun manga. I’m looking forward to this adaptation. 

Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies moved to a started town - Hopefully this will be as fun as the manga was. Here’s a better synopsis than the Livechart one - Lloyd is the weakest person in his remote village but his dream is to become a soldier in the big city. So he moves to the city and strives to make his dream come true. However in a twist, it turns out that the remote village Lloyd came from is the retirement town for all the world’s strongest heroes and they are all massively overpowered, so when he gets to the city he’s stupidly OP but it doesn’t quite click for him. Shenanigans ensue. It’s fun and I’m looking forward to this adaptation. 

Bottom-tier Character Tomozaki - This is supposed to be not quite as good a romance as Horimiya this season, but still decent. If that is the comedy romance this is the drama romance show and hopefully it’ll be good. 

Kemono Jihen - Mystery, supernatural, Yokai. I’m intrigued in this show and hope it’s decent. 

Otherside Picnic - Shoujo Ai, Sci-Fi, I’m sold. 

Hortensia SAGA - This is based on a game, but I’ve heard that the story and scope are actually quite good and the PV actually looks quite good so I’m definitely gonna check this one out. 

SK8 the Infinity - Ok, so my first impression of this was nah, I’ll pass. But then I saw the PV and saw it was being animated by BONES and my impression changed to Ok I have to at least give it a couple episodes. 

2.43 Seiin High School Boys Volleyball Team - So this is supposed to be Haikyuu except lots more drama and less gameplay. It will really have to pull me in in order to get me to not think boring Haikyuu when I watch it. I’ll give it a couple episodes. 

Dr. Ramune -Mysterious Disease Specialist- - Doctor heals people from Yokai or something like that. The tags look interesting as do the character designs. I’ll check it out.

Back Arrow - Fantasy setting but BOOM... Mecha! That premise at least demands a couple episodes of my attention. 

Heaven’s Design Team - Here’s my chill comedy SOL show of the season. The premise is Heaven has a design team that creates/created all the animals. I’m very excited to see the shenanigans. 

Gekidol - Idols and stage acting. After watching the new Love Live last season I’m in the mood for some idol stuff. But most interesting to me is the next show on this list. 

Alice in Deadly School - It’s not currently known whether this will be a full series or an OVA or some other thing, but this is an anime of the stage play that is being put on in Gekidol. The same VAs in Gekidol that play the characters in this play are voicing the characters for this anime production. And I just think this whole setup is neat and am very interested to see it play out (pun fully intended). 

Idoly Pride - This seems to be a more straight-forward idol show which I’m going to check out. 

Maiko-san Chi no Makanai-san - Girl doesn’t quite cut it to do the thing she and her friend came to do, but she found that she can cook so uses her cooking for support her friends. SOL, lets go. 

Wave!! Surfing Yappe!! - Surfing show, the animation will make or break this show so we will see how it turns out. 

Wow, that is a lot of shows, lets add them up.

Nowhere...

  Yesterday, I died. It just happened, no rhyme, no reason, the vessel that housed me stopped working. This mortal coil shed, like a serpent leaving behind a dried out skin snagged on a twig in an old forest. I feel nothing, no cold, no pain, no hunger nor thirst....I am, yet I am not...

What they don't tell you anything about dying in books, religious dogmas, and human mythology, is that there is no time in death...well, there is a sort of sense of time, but there is no way to measure it, quantify it, give it a steady pace to determine a forward progression the living rely on so much. If I concentrate hard enough I could watch myself die, very slowly, repeatedly over a long span, or just that brief spark when I stopped breathing, and everything grew still around me in the dimension of the living.

 I spend a span of moments doing this....traveling forwards and backwards along a strand of time, visiting small snippets of my former life. All the happy moments, pausing for some span at the faces and places I had long forgot. I see my mother, young, happy, pregnant with what was me, sitting in a chair and humming softly at her belly...her hand tracing lazy circles around the little footprints I was pressing into the sides of her womb while she whispered her dreams of whom she hoped I would become. I see my father, young, in fatigues fighting a useless war in a foreign land, joking with his buddies about the girls back home, while he stares at a laminated photo of me my mother mailed to him...I see him kiss the picture, then say "my son..." as he holds it to his chest. I see my grandfather's smile the first time he held my infant form cradled in his arms. I travel to and fro, seeing all that had transpired in my life, and all the little things I missed as I lived. If it were even possible to cry in the afterlife, I couldn't tell....just the wash of emotions both happy and sad without the mechanisms to adequately express them.

I grow bored after awhile, so I move backwards seeing history rewind, pausing at all the interesting bits, and learning all the truths that historians got wrong, or misinterpreted, or just plain lied just to make a name for themselves, or support the dogma of the day. I hear other voices out here in oblivion as they too travel to and fro observing what was, have been, or will ever be....sometimes we converse, discussing a moment trying to get to the truth of it all, but mostly we move along our paths with nary a notice each of passing.

I travel forwards, seeing all that will be...amazed at some things, horrified by others, sad, happy, and phantom scratching at what I assume to be the equivalent of my head. The future for us is unwritten, you see.... constantly changing, and only becomes tangible when their moments have passed into history. I answer some questions as best I can from those future souls inquiring about my small tiny piece of time. In exchange, they tell me bits and pieces of their journeys and what will be....not necessarily equivalent exchange, as the souls I encounter from the future are numerous and constantly in flux with their outcomes not entirely set in stone...

existence, for me, passes....time to move on.

I'm just hovering in nothing....to my right a passageway that looks warm and inviting. To my left, a passageway that looks stark, cold, and ominous. I hear voices from each hallway, and take my time investigating each corridor. After some length, I surmise that each corridor is the human equivalent of heaven or perdition. I am given a choice....left or right, hell or nirvana, order or chaos....

They each make their case...opening their gates wide waiting for me to enter. It feels like a trap, either way....but I listen. One side offers peace, tranquility, bliss but no ambition, no creativity. It's the end reward of the final level of a lackluster game and you only made a passing score. The other side offers ambition and challenge, but at the total lack of joy, compassion, love, or any other of the rewards that would motivate someone to grow. It's a Korean grinder, and the rewards follow a law of diminishing returns so I would be stuck in an endless loop for an eternity or more. 

I'm drawn towards the right passage...I was raised theist, and everyone wants to go to heaven, at least that is what all the dogmas would have you to believe,  but I pause....it looks peaceful, serene, not like the cover art of the Led Zeppelin album "houses of the holy" all many steps and columns, and most tranquil. It looks like whatever I most want in the universe in smaller scale....hollow, steadfast, but never changing. The set pieces are permanent, and I'm just expected to exist and be happy forever.

I amble back to the void to ponder my choices, left or right. I float forward towards an impossibly massive wall, all the while contemplating the pros and cons of either choice. The wall is neither of substance, nor form, but it exists none the less. My fingers slide across it's surface, feeling the texture as I float and ponder. This goes on for some time until my fingers find the tiny beginning of a crack....

I float along the tiny fissure within the unblemished surface of the wall, and as I float upwards following the crack, my fingers notice the changes as I travel upwards, growing larger and larger the farther I travel along. I could not discern the distances involved, but it felt like a very long time, all the while the crack growing ever wider and wider until I could no longer feel the sides between my arms. I stop.....before me is nothing....no lights, no sound, nothing...and being the curious child I ever was, started floating forwards into this new void.

a voice speaks out in the darkness "ARE YOU SURE YOU WANT TO DO THIS? AFTER ALL, THE CHOICES WERE TAILORED TO FIT YOUR NEEDS... "

wait...what?!

"SERIOUSLY...THERE IS NO GOING BACK AFTER THIS..."

Ok.....who is this?

"WHOM DO YOU THINK THIS IS?"

*rolls what passes for eyes* duh....why do you think i'm asking? You tell me...

"I'VE HAD MANY NAMES...WHICH ONE WOULD YOU LIKE ME TO GO BY?"

Ummmm.....is this god?

"MAYBE....MAYBE NOT. IT'S HARD TO KEEP A NAME IN ALL EXISTANCE, THINGS ARE ALWAYS CHANGING, IN FLUX, BUT IF IT'LL MAKE YOU FEEL ANY BETTER...YOU CAN CALL ME GOD IF YOU WANT TO..."

yeeeeeahhh, this is a little too much to believe right at the moment....

"TAKE YOUR TIME....IT'S NOT LIKE WE'RE GOING ANYWHERE."

It's so dark...why can't I see you?

"BECAUSE....I HAVN'T BEEN CREATED HERE YET. TELL YOU WHAT, JUST HOLD YOUR HAND UP, AND SNAP YOUR FINGERS FOR A BIT....I PROMISE YOU IT WILL BE WORTH IT.....GO ON."

yeah....yeah.....sure. I hold up my hand in the void, and snap my fingers a few times. After each snap, a small light, like a pinprick, starts to grow, shedding light into the area I exist in. Growing larger and larger till the light fills the space, and everything there is revealed. From the center of the light I hear the voice again...sounding more directional and focused than it was mere moments ago.

"NOW THAT WASN'T HARD NOW...WAS IT?"

well....no. but I'm not sure just what exactly did I do.

"CREATION..."

what?

"CREATION...YOU MADE SOMETHING FROM NOTHING. GIVE YOURSELF A LITTLE PAT ON THE BACK, MOST THINGS DON'T MAKE IT THIS FAR..."

ok...now i'm really confused....I just did what you told me to do.

"IF YOU HAD DONE WHAT I TOLD YOU TO DO, YOU WOULD HAVE MADE A CHOICE BACK AT THE GROTTO, AND WE WOULDN'T BE HAVING THIS PARTICULAR CONVERSATION, NOW WOULD WE?"

heh, well you do have a point....now what?

create? what would I create?

wait...wait...wait....hold on one sec. You mean if I imagine there is a tiny beagle puppy named snoopy sitting there at my feet, it's just going to magically appear? at which point the puppy appears with a little golden nametag dangling from it's collar, and yapps excitedly while wagging it's tail...I pick it up, and it licks my face lovingly as I realize I now have a face, and I feel the puppies slobbery tongue caress my wet cheek.

ok....this is a bit too much, don't cha think? I mean, I can feel myself and that should be impossible because I'm dead. There is a puppy here that wasn't here before and that in itself should be impossible, but there it sits.....and just when did this dirt plain appear? this is all so crazy!!! I'm going insane....that has to be it....i'm loosing my marbles from floating out here alone for so long.

yeah.....i'm confused with everything, I don't know where I am, what I am, how all this can be. I know that I used to be a average dude, living in the woods, loving life, dealing with stuff, and trying to be the nicest, honest, caring person I could ever be.....I often failed, but for the most part, at least I tried, and that has to count for something, right?

The last echoes of it's voice fade into the evening sun. I walk down a gentle path I created in my mind towards a small lake and nice house I dreamed up while walking. Snoopy is gracefully bounding in the tall grasses by the path spooking up birds, rabbits, deer, squirrel, and all manner of critter with each passing step. The breeze is cool, and the sunlight warm on my skin as I approach my new home. A kitten greets me by the front door, it's mewing telling me it needs fed and a few belly rubs for good measure. It was a good day. Tomorrow, I might just try to make a universe, but today i'm just going to relax, unwind, and enjoy what is already here for a moment longer. who knows....maybe another person will come along and creation will just be that less lonely. As I prepare for bed, I think about all that has happened, reflective, pensive, and somewhat excited for the days ahead...It also leaves me questioning why the other voice told me to sweep up after i'm through...is there somewhere beyond the realms of god? or just another nowhere to be created again and again? i'll figure it out eventually...but for now...this is my undiscovered country, after all. time enough to make the most of it.

The Plan

The music is from a library; before we chose it, sound editor Rich Evans and I listened to some David Holmes - specifically 69 Police because we really wanted that Ocean’s Eleven feel. 

Leopard

We considered having a sound effect for the leopard, but of course, no, Simon doing it live was funnier. Listening back I wish I’d put a bit more FX in the background, to avoid the fishbowl FX being too prominent, but it doesn’t seem to have irritated anyone...

Weather

This was in one take. I think ideally we’d have only had one Radio 4 parody in this episode, but once we decided to make this episode the one with The Heist in, we wanted it to be as strong as possible, so it went in on the grounds of excellence.

Leaving Do

This was actually recorded at three different recordings - once with John singing solo, a capella; once with John singing solo accompanied; and twice at the final recording, as heard here. It also involved a little bit of choreography, because with everyone needing to be quite close on mic for their line, but a good distance for the chorus lines, it involved a constant clockwise rotation of the cast - coming up to the mic over the previous singer’s left shoulder, allowing the previous singer to slink off to the right.

John Finnemore’s Souvenir Programme Accidentally

Well, after doing The Archers, The Afternoon Drama, Poetry Please, The Moral Maze, etc, it seemed only fair to turn the guns on himself. I saw Jake Yapp over Christmas, and I told him about this sketch - and that the thing I was proudest off was that he wouldn’t have been harsher on John than John was...

There was a moment where I wanted to open the series with this. But once we’d decided that was an act of hubris too far, there were really only two places it could go in this episode - right at the start, or here, the penultimate sketch. We decided on here because mocking ourselves for being a traditional sketch show seemed like a fun thing to do right before the final sketch.

Since You Ask Me - The Heist

Hopefully you didn’t see this coming.

I guess the main thing is the flashbacks - we needed to put reverb on those lines, and that’s really hard to do afterwards (because I’m given the recordings as a single sound file - audience and cast and music and effects all on one track - so if I add reverb to an actor’s voice, I’d also add it to an extraneous noises, which would sound weird). So the flashback lines were from the rehearsal, treated, and played in for the audience. I’m trying to remember how we did it for the Time Travel episode of series 4 - I think we repeated those lines live, but there was a bigger effect (the time machine) before each one, and there was no reverb to control.

It was also really important to make all the sketches feel like sketches in and of themselves; if they hadn’t felt like complete sketches then you’d have known something was up. It’s all in the order Carrie says it in the first sketch too - a Sticky Fishbowl, a Mary Poppins, and a That’s What She Said. (There was one sketch in the Time Travel episode that we cut from the Time Travel sequence and re-edited as a standalone sketch - because the time travel intervention was so out of place, it let you know that there was something else going on, which made the reveal less of a surprise.

FILLER FALLS IN DRAMATIC UPSET, WHILE VAN BOENING ALSO CRASHES OUT

Finland’s Casper Matikainen takes down the defending champion in wild day in Doha as 32 players set for a sprint to the World 9-ball crown.

(Doha, Qatar)–Finland’s Casper Matikainen came into his round of 64 match at the World 9-ball Championship today versus the defending champion and world number 1 Joshua Filler feeling relaxed and ready for battle. He figured the German great would bring his usual fire, but he also knew that Filler might also take his eye off the proverbial ball. After all, the 23 year old Finn wasn’t exactly the most feared name in a field of absolute monsters.

So even when the self-described “King” of pool jumped out to a 4-1 lead, Matikainen never lost hope, as Filler had gotten a few lucky rolls and wasn’t playing all that great, while the Finn had a few rolls go against him.

The mental strategy soon started to bear fruit for the cool-headed blonde. Slowly, and increasingly surely, Matikainen crawled even, and then took the lead while at the same time Filler started to get sloppy, lose focus and even showed some signs of panic. From 4-1 down Matikainen calmly won 9 out of the next ten frames.  After a brief hiccup on the hill that allowed Filler to claim two quick racks, the steady Finn held his nerve and closed out the biggest shock of the tournament so far, an 11-7 upset of the defending champion.

“He’s the world champion and he’s playing and I’m not there in the big tournaments and maybe he’s thinking it’s an easy win,” the 22 year old Matikainen said afterward.  “I felt that Joshua had the pressure because he’s the world champion and I was really relaxed at the table and that helped me and I just got it done.”

Matikainen’s massive win was but one huge result on a dramatic day in Doha that saw some of pool’s biggest names dumped out, while others were taken to the absolute limits. With the field now down to the final 32, the next two days promises to be one of the most exciting and fascinating Battle Royale’s of 9-ball we’ve seen in years.

America’s Shane Van Boening had come to Doha a heavy favorite this year and for good reason. His last three starts here ended with two runner ups and a spot in the semis last year. But several early mistakes against Taiwan’s Liu Ri Teng was all it took for the Taiwanese to grab a commanding lead at 10-4. The American mounted a valiant fight back, but the alternate break format meant the hole was too deep. Liu sent Van Boening packing in the round of 64 with a humbling 11-8 defeat.

After his runner up finish at the US Open in Las Vegas last April, former champion Wu Jiaqing figured to go far here in Doha. But Wu came up against fellow compatriot Xu Xiaocong, who is one of a slew of quality young talents coming out of China. Xu has impressed all week here and  against Wu he turned his game up several notches, crushing the former Boy Wonder 11-5.

The Taiwanese are almost sure to have one, possibly two players in the semis after tomorrow as Team Taipei looked absolutely marvelous today. It isn’t easy picking a favorite out of these world beaters but World 10-ball Champion Ko Ping Chung would probably be at the top of most punters betting sheets.  The slightly built and painfully shy 22 year old is clearly at the top of his game but he even he barely escaped in a harrowing match against Hungary’s talented Oliver Szolnoki.

Szolnoki, another bright European prospect, played the match of his young career and had “Little” Ko on the ropes, shooting out to a 7-3, then 8-5 lead. The fresh-faced Hungarian reached the hill first, but Ko then displayed the courage and guts that only champions can pull off.  In a nervy and tense sudden death rack, the Taiwanese made a series of surreal pressure shots to eek out the victory.

Little Ko’s older brother and two-time former world champion Pin Yi also won today, easily defeating Japan’s Yukio Akagariyama, 11-5. Fellow Taiwanese Chang Jung Lin, Chang Yu Lung, Lin Wu Kun and Kevin Chang all won their round of 64 matches today. In all seven Taiwanese made it through to the round of 32.

2016 World 9-ball champion Albin Ouschan of Austria looks to be in very fine form this year, as he easily defeated Taiwan’s Lin Ta Li 11-5.  Fellow Austrian Max Lechner continued his rise this year with an 11-4 win over Lithuania’s Pijus Labutis. 

The Russian contingent also put in solid performances today. Veteran Ruslan Chinakhov took down American Corey Duel 11-3, while youngster Fedor Gorst stayed alive with an 11-8 win over Slovakia’s Jakub Koniar.

2012 World 9-ball Champion Darren Appleton has been quietly playing himself back into game shape over the last few months and his solid victory today over Albanian star and European Mosconi team member Eklent Kaci could be a portent for the rest of the field. The Englishman battled back from a 4-0 deficit, and then turned the screws on the Albanian for a quality 11-6 win. In his remarkable heyday from 2008 to 2015, Appleton famously grinded out championships by the truckload and that bulldog mentality definitely was on display this afternoon.

The Philippines had only three players in the final 64 but all three made it through today. 2017 World 9-ball champion Carlo Biado got taken to the limit by Qatari veteran Bashar Hussein, before breaking and running the last rack for an 11-10 win. Also winning today for the Team Pinoy were Johann Chua and Jeffrey Ignacio.

The Polish contingent has been getting stronger by the year and they showed their quality today with three of their stars pushing through to the final 32. Mieszko Fortunski, Wojciech Szewczyk, and Mateusz Sniegocki all won handily.

The next thing I want to mention, though, here, and we can stay at the weekly Kanas is the Yemi Weekly Reben, because something mindblowing just happened today. If we are looking at this guys and look at this very closely, this orange light, this yellow line here, it’s the shortest moving average on the Yemi week room just flipped here above the long term moving averages and. This is called a bullish flip on the EMC, a weekly ribbon’s, and the last time this happens, it did not happen to a lot of times. Actually, the first time it happened right here in May 2019, we went into this short term uptrend here all the way up to 14000 U.S. dollars. And even more important to mention is that it not only happened here in 2019, but it also happened two times before, only two times in the ten-year history of Bitcoin. And if we are zooming out here, let me go into the long chart. You can basically see that the last time that happened here was in 2015, December. And guys, you can see what’s happened after what’s bitcoin was due for this massive, massive uptrend. He always supported by this. Yeah. Yeah. A weekly ribbon here. So this was extremely bullish.
