am i the only one who sympathises with carmy and doesn’t want people to shout at him this season? (which is not the same as condoning his actions so don’t attack me)

the man needs help not more people telling him how wrong and shit and neurotic he’s being - he clearly tells himself those that 24/7 what good is everyone else telling him that going to do?

i personally really hope he reconnects with claire bc she has so much patience and love and actually listens and talks to him in an honest but uplifting way. while syd (not attacking here) has way more difficulty, like carmen, in saying things directly and the way they need to be said. i feel the same way about sydcarm as i do about zutara - top tier friendship, damaging af romance, they just clash too much

She had a CONNIPTION when I told her I was going to London for Macbeth over my birthday for two nights. How are you going to get around? Wow its almost like she projects her anxieties onto me, (always has,) and expects me to have as dull a life as she does. Well I'm sorry, I'm not gonna stand it anymore. She basically wants me to be a live in carer for her and the dog and I can't and won't do it when her husband is right there and if she needs carers that badly then there's the NHS and council. I'm not gonna end up like my bff caring for my mother and having no life whatsoever and having to put my entire life on hold including my marriage and having kids which I dont want personally but it's an example how needy anxious parents who won't deal with their own issues rope their kids into caring for them and perpetuating generational trauma etc.

Like sorry you spent your life caring for your sick parents mum. Couldn't be me, not when I have all the health problems I have myself. Sorry.

I'll defend booktok women and women who just like those kinds of books in general until my dying breath. The amount of disdain I see towards those women for their apparent crime of being horny, expressing their sexuality out loud, and enjoying sometimes poorly-written books is astounding.

The amount of you who are so okay with sticking your nose down at them and expressing how gross and stupid they are for daring to enjoy such bad material is huge. Critiquing what books they read, and ideas they have is perfectly normal–in fact that's what you're suppose to be doing when it comes to books–but this criticism is so wrapped up in the hatred and belittling of these women it's insane.

You people really like to cover up this blatant misogyny under the guise of really pushing that, "guys this behavior man's is problematic and creepy! How are women into him and this???? 🤢🤮💀💀🤡" shit that i see all the time. But we need to call these books out!you say, so women and girls are aware and know! You don't see how that line of thinking is clearly pointing out that women, and girls for that matter, are too dumb and naive to know already? Why is it a constant thing of warning these women and not calling men out for real life shit?

These women know all about what they're reading is 'problematic', stop treating like their newly birthed sheltered morons. Instead of being happy with the fact that they're reading at all (we all the know the state of reading right now) and encouraging discussions and engaging with them and being happy for them, you treat them like garbage for daring to even like it.

Why are y'all not waggling your fingers at them and saying "naughty naughty" for reading more "acceptable" literature like Frankenstein or Dantes Inferno or Shakespeare, etc etc? Don't they deserve to know how bad some of the stuff in these books are in case they don't know? They needed be to reminded constantly guys, they're minds might not be able comprehend it! Or do we not need to cause they were suppose to have studied that in school?

Maybe it's because the books they're reading are very much for a women's enjoyment solely and for their gaze? Coddling and astonishment always seems to come down hard when it comes to women huh.

You can try and turn into a thing about just wanting to make these women are aware of characters and themes and stuff in the novel being unsafe and unhealthy, but most of us were learning that shit when we were in class reading The Outsiders or Romeo and Juliet, or really any book for that matter. If your 'concerns' in regards to these women and what they read are caked in a thick layer of treating them like their idiots and shaming them for expressing sexuality than maybe you should take an entire football field's stepback.

I don't think there's anything wrong with making fun of these books or criticizing them and the behavior you see from these women, but if you think a lot of isn't connected to misogyny and a hatred/ridicule of women's interests/enjoyment than you are very wrong.

Recording voice memos is weird. Cause I'm not recording anything in particular. I'm just...talking.

For a couple of minutes, I just talk, and then I say goodbye and save the memo and name it. And that's all I do with it.

I plan to put them all onto an external hard drive, and I'm going to have a little note document on there too that explains what it's for. Might make messages and notes for my loved ones, might write about my life, might describe what the world looks like from my eyes.

Maybe I'll have a few note documents.

And it's weird to think that that might be all that's left of me when I'm gone. A bunch of voice memos and note documents.

But also that's not so bad. Because I'm just voicing my thoughts. So I'll be remembered for who I am, I suppose. And I'll be remembered for why I made them.

I think I had somewhere I was going with this. Something about the future and being remembered and how future generations will experience the things you leave behind. But I don't have the words for it right now

Considering making a side blog for my history & mythology stuff(and ither stuff like my original stories maybe). Okay, I've already made one(and rb-ed some stuff on there) but I dunno if I'll use it but this is my main blog and it's for personal stuff + fandom + whatever the hell I want, basically. I would use the sideblog for history, anthropology, archaeology, stuff like that and also religion lore & mythology & folklore.

(but like. Not worship. Not gonna talk about my religion beliefs here but if I did I would use another sideblog for that I think)
