lord its so dark in here the sahara desert of tsaritsa content you are like a shining oasis. your characterisation of her compels me & mihoyo would be hard pressed to top it imo.!! caaaaan i humbly request yr thoughts on her first meeting w a reader of any kind, or maybe even multiple kinds (sagau, sagau god au, isekai, etc) if you so desire...

it really is like a desert here. being the fan of a character we aren't getting until the last damn nation is driving me up a wall but i will persevere bc if nothing else i support morally bankrupt women in media. we r in a severe drought over here but i do my best. unfortunately nothing i say is ever coherent so pull out your translation notes its abt 2 be messy

also this got out of hand but thats bc first meetings w the tsaritsa are tricky to write + a LOT of her characterization lies in deeper exploration then just surface level yknow...NOT A DIG AT YOU this is just my excuse for rambling. gently pats the tsaritsa she can hold so much complexity i do not have the word count to delve into it completely :]

gonna talk cult au for a bit here though because that's 99% of my content. and honestly? she thrives in sub au's of the cult au like villain au + imposter au. it's basically made for her. i mean, early days, the imposter au had been going around for a little while but one of the first few ideas was the Fatui taking reader in so like. it kinda technically actually was. pretty sure cult au Tsaritsa popped up because of the imposter au. a lot of it's writers kinda left though which. man am i getting old or.

anyway.

there isn't much of a chance her first impression is all that positive. at best it's usually neutral, imo, but rarely if ever positive. specifically because i view the Tsaritsa as someone who isn't as fanatical as most of the acolytes typically are towards the creator. she's not exactly going to worship the ground you walk on unlike a certain geo lizard. which is partially why i think she thrives in the sub au's i mentioned.

imposter au, for example. she meets you at your lowest. there's no gaudy extravagance or pampering from the acolytes waiting for you because your own acolytes have turned on you. for all intents and purposes you aren't a "god" at all. which is why i don't think she meshes well with normal cult au reader. the Fatui are made up of outcasts, basically, and imposter au slots right in just perfectly. you're weak, at your lowest, when you meet the Fatui in the imposter au. and the Fatui can help you, too.

a mutual exchange, really. the Tsaritsa sees a tool she can use to one up the rest of the nations and especially Archons, and she has no qualms about you using her and the Fatui in turn. you both want something out of it, after all. whether you just want to be safe from the rest of the acolytes, or you want revenge, or whatever else..she'll give you the power to fulfill it, and she gains the strongest piece on the chessboard when all is said and done.

the best way i can describe the first meeting is "practical", i suppose. she sees an opportunity in you. the ultimate gamble. because if she "saves" you, and you dont trust anyone else because they tried to kill you, well..she holds all the cards, doesn't she?

but the Tsaritsa, imo, is just as capable of being just as fanatical towards you as anyone else. she just won't worship you as the creator. but as yourself? clawing your way back to your divine power and taking back what belongs to you? the Tsaritsa is, to me, a character who's character flourishes in long-term fics more because she changes a LOT between "just met reader" and after having been with reader for some time. she's practically apathetic at the beginning but a lot of her character, in my characterization, shines through LONG after the first meeting.

Beyblade X Episode 39: The Greatest Blader

This episode was ONE heck of a ride that’s what I’m going to say (pretending like I’m not shaking in my boots right now)

Okay so you guys know when the episode starts, Robin says the title out loud, right? When he said it, it sounded lower and more… I can’t quite pin the feeling but, it was like a suspenseful sort of tone, if you get what I mean. I might be reading too much into this but I really liked how it made me just cling to the edge of my seat just ITCHING and waiting to see the battle

ALWAYS ALWAYS love to see family interactions and especially Bladers when they were tiny, LOOK AT BABY TITUS HE’S ADORABLE!!! I love that his launch form here implies he’s been keeping it until the present (because it’s the same in the present), he looks like a lion cub trying to be intimidating but not quite enough

And the way Quinn doesn’t hold back in her battles even if it’s against her own grandson, she’s making sure to teach him everything there is which is GAHHH it’s nice to see

Then…

I LOVED HOW THEY DID THIS. 100% SO CLEVER THIS IS AMAZING. X can mean a LOT of things, and here, it’s the variable in Quinn’s equation. She thought she would know the outcome, but it turns out X can be a lot of numbers… and in this case, numerous results and numerous X-treme Dashes. X can be ANYTHING. Jaxon is pretty much unpredictable and he doesn’t fit in Quinn’s equation because he’s X.

And when she started to realize Jaxon isn’t anything or anyone she’s seen before—

He just outright says “Tell me this Miss Quinn. Of the 9 that won against you… were any of them like me?” IN A SHAKY VOICE, BUT WITH THE WAY THE LINE IS SAID, YOU CAN TELL HE’S SMILING AND LO AND BEHOLD WE HAVE ANOTHER UNHINGED JAXON EXPRESSION!!! I kind of wish we had another unhinged laugh accompanying this, but I think the face was already too much 😭 JAXON WHY ARE YOU SMILING LIKE THAT I DROPPED MY PHONE WATCHING THIS EPISODE SEEING THIS

anyways Jaxon did win in the end with an X-treme Finish with ONE hell of a hit that freaked me out, I wish we had a more drawn out battle but I guess Jaxon was so hyped about battling her he forgot to tone it down (I do think he tries to battle people at the level he thinks they’d perform at sometimes so it’s fun for him. He still confuses me quite a bit…)

Special shout-out to Multi who hugged Robin on screen they’re adorable, I LOVE WHEN TEAM PERSONA CELEBRATES CUZ THEY ALWAYS HUG AND STUFF but seeing this made me smile wide. (In the volumes of the manga I’ve read so far, Multi isn’t as affectionate to Robin as she is with Jaxon instead. Studio took some creative freedom and I’m glad their dynamic is like this in the anime)

PACKUN WAS SO SALTY AT THEIR DEFEAT BUT QUINN GAVE HIM A TALKING TO AND I JUST CAN’T UNDERSTAND HOW HIS BRAIN WORKS, HE HATES THE MERE SIGHT OF ROBIN SMILING 😭 YOU CRUSHED HIM WASN’T THAT ENOUGH??? YOU MOCKED HIM AND INSULTED HIM AND NOW YOU’RE MAD SEEING HIM CELEBRATE WINNING WITH HIS TEAM? Packun is just. Man.

But before that, Quinn talked about how each of the Bladers she lost to were the same as Jaxon, “enjoying Blading openly and earnestly, giving everything they had. Though there was one exception.” And I am positive that this silhouette is Chrome there is no way it isn’t him. But what I’m REALLY picking at is how Quinn is talking about how the Bladers were the same as Jaxon. Except Chrome. Each Blader enjoyed Blading openly and earnestly. Except Chrome. I think that Chrome and the “X” in his heart— I think this is implying that Chrome wants to be like Jaxon. He wants to be the same as him. But someone like Quinn points out that Chrome won’t be and isn’t the same as Jaxon. He won’t be able to truly be like the “X” he’s chasing to be. I’m still confused about Chrome’s motives, but I’m thinking he wants Jaxon to come back and stay in Pendragon. Well now that I look at it, Sigrid was told by Chrome to leave Jaxon alone so I’m not so sure about that— he does seem focused on getting strong though, that’s for sure.

We saw Pendragon getting interviewed and I started laughing nervously because:

Chrome seems to have no interest in Team Persona being the next possible team to battle him and Sigrid. In the earlier episodes he was smiling and saying he was going to battle Jaxon for certain, but now he seems disinterested. I don’t think it’s a facade either, we saw him slipping with that during his match with the bot on live TV

Sigrid looks so annoyed by this. I DON’T KNOW WHY SHE IS BUT IT MADE ME LAUGH BECAUSE SHE LOOKS LIKE SHE JUST WANTS TO GO BACK TO HER ROOM AND RELAX BUT ALL THE REPORTERS ARE BLOCKING HER WAY OUT

the really beautiful landscape/skyscape animation in makoto shinkai's works tends to be the big thing i see focused on and that is understandable and deserved like the weather and lighting effects are unREAL but i do think we should also appreciate how absolute insane the plotlines of his original movies get. at least two movies with in universe catastrophes with major ecological implications. the guns and explosions. theres that one movie i havent seen yet with the guy who turns into a chair (?)

Lando Norris x Reader

Lando wasn’t even thinking when he said it.

He had been casually chatting with his Twitch chat, laughing as he played a round of iRacing, completely immersed in the game. His focus was sharp, his reactions quick, but then, in a moment of pure instinct, he said the words that changed everything.

“No, my girlfriend thinks that’s stupid too.”

The chat froze.

Lando didn’t notice at first, still focused on the track. But then, out of the corner of his eye, the messages started flooding in.

GIRLFRIEND??? WHO?? HE HAS A GF?? EXPLAIN YOURSELF, NORRIS.

He blinked, his hands tightening on the wheel as realization dawned. His heart stuttered. Oh, crap. He hadn’t meant to let that slip. It had been months of keeping things private, of soft moments away from the cameras, of quiet mornings and late-night phone calls. And now, in the middle of a stupid Twitch stream, he had blown it.

Quickly, he grabbed his phone with one hand, barely glancing at chat as he fired off a message.

Lando: Sooo I might have just accidentally told the entire internet I have a girlfriend. Lando: And now they’re kind of freaking out. Lando: And now they want to meet you. Lando: Want to come say hi?

You stared at your phone, biting your lip as you read his messages. Part of you wanted to tease him for slipping up, but the thought of actually going on stream made you nervous. You weren’t a public person—not in the way he was, at least.

But then another message popped up.

Lando: They’re literally begging. Like, I can hear them screaming through the screen.

You rolled your eyes fondly before sending back a simple, Give me five minutes.

When you finally walked into his gaming room, he was still looking at the chat, a sheepish grin on his face. “Guys, I don’t know if she’s gonna—oh, wait. Here she is.”

He turned to you, his expression instantly softening. “Hi.”

You smiled, stepping into the frame as he leaned back in his chair, looking up at you with that adoring gaze he always had when you were around. The chat exploded.

SHE’S REAL. OMG SHE’S SO PRETTY. WE LOVE HER ALREADY. Lando, blink twice if she’s holding you hostage.

You laughed, shaking your head as Lando pulled you closer, an arm wrapping around your waist. “So, this is the chat that’s been harassing you?” you teased, glancing at the flood of messages.

Lando groaned dramatically. “Yes. They’re relentless.”

You leaned into the mic. “Hi, chat. Be nice to him.”

NEVER. WE BULLY WITH LOVE. SHE GETS IT.

Lando rolled his eyes playfully before looking up at you again. “They’ve been asking questions.”

“Oh?” You raised a brow. “Like what?”

“Like how we met, how long we’ve been together, and whether or not I’m being forced into this relationship against my will,” he said, smirking.

You grinned. “I mean, should I let them believe that?”

Chat went wild.

YES. CONFIRM IT. LANDA PRISONER ERA. FREE HIM.

Lando groaned, dropping his head against your stomach, making you giggle as you ran your fingers through his messy curls. “Great. Now they’re never gonna let this go.”

You leaned down, pressing a quick kiss to the top of his head. “You’ll survive.”

He tilted his head up, eyes crinkling with warmth as he looked at you. “I always do when you’re around.”

Chat collectively lost their minds.

GET A ROOM. IM THROWING UP. ACTUAL RELATIONSHIP GOALS.

Lando just smiled, pulling you down onto his lap. “Well, chat, there you have it. My not-so-secret-anymore girlfriend.”

You laughed, relaxing into him. “Guess the secret’s out.”

And honestly? It wasn’t so bad.
