Trent’s crush on the pretty physio is well known amongst the players. They make sure to help him fulfill one last Christmas wish before you all head home for the holidays.

Liverpool FC had been your home for the last few years and in your time there, quite a few players had come and gone through your room. All of them were wonderful and talented and charming in their own ways but no one beat the boys you had now.

If you could give them a middle name, it'd be troublesome.

It's Tuesday morning and the boys were returning for training. Liverpool had played Newcastle on Sunday, leaving the boys with another 2 points added onto the board but were left without their captain after a red card.

Currently, their captain was laid on the bench in your physio room, the rest of the boys scattered through the training room - you can see and hear their noise through the glass panels that separated the two rooms.

"I don't even know how I did it," Virgil tells you, watching as you massaged the spot before he could join the rest of the boys.

"I'm sure you must have over worked it during your shouting match with the ref," you glanced up at the man, there's a smile on his face even though he's rolling his eyes.

Before you finish with the captain, the door to the physio room swings open. The younger players had a habit of hiding in there to avoid training, especially when they knew Virgil wasn't in.

In comes Andy with his arm over Trent, squeezing the vice captain in a headlock. Ibou comes running in after them.

They weren't aware that their captain was currently in there with you.

"Oh hey skip," Andy shouts to his friend, struggling to hold Trent in place. The man struggles, pushing Andy away from him when he realizes Virgil was in there. Ibou blocks the doorway, stopping Trent from passing.

You were taping Virgil's knee, smoothing the tape as he looked over at the three of them. "Why are you in here? Don't bother y/n, she's working unlike some people," he shoots them a glare, making you laugh.

"All done, big man." You step back, picking up the roll of tape. You look over in the direction of the other players in the room. "What can I help y'all with?"

Andy says, "Trent strained something in his thigh." Trent was glaring at Andy; if looks could kill.

You nod towards the empty chair, putting away the stuff you used on Virgil before turning back to him. "Need anything else?"

"No," Virgil shook his head, still laying on the bench as he scrolled through his phone. "I'll head out in a few."

"Okay," you smiled, walking over to where Trent now begrudgingly sat. Ibou was snickering in the corner of the room, leaning on the wall by the door.

"Ibrahima," you called, the man freezes at the use of his full name. "Do you need something ?"

"Just water," he says, rushing off to the fridge to grab a bottle.

Andy's got a hand over his mouth, covering his giggles. "Don't start before I kick you out too, Andrew." You look over at him and he presses his lips together, sliding his fingers across it and turning it; locking it up so he doesn't make noise.

Trent sat quietly, so still that you almost missed his chest raising and falling with each breath.

"Which one?" you asked, crouching in front of him. His brows furrow, looking at you confused. "Which leg?" You clarified and he raised his left leg slightly.

You nod, "can you pull your shorts up a bit?"

Ibou and Andy were giggling behind you and you can't help but look over at him, the two of them shutting up, or at least attempting to.

Turning your attention back to Trent, you touch his thigh carefully, working your fingers over the muscle and the man groans. You glance up at him, "there?"

"Your hand's cold," he says and you move your hand away. "Sorry," you say, rubbing your hands together to try and warm them up.

You put your hand back carefully, not wanting to freeze him again but when he doesn't complain, you find yourself moving your hand along his thigh to find the strain. Your fingers were soft against his skin, Trent was thinking of what other injuries he could fake to come in and see you, to have you feel him up.

"Trent?" You called, pulling him from his thoughts, "where exactly is the strain? I can't feel anything."

His cheeks are red, he's been caught. "Uh-"

"Look!" Andy's hunched over laughing and Ibou's leant back laughing right beside him. "His face is red!"

"Shut up!" Trent grumbles, looking away from you and you bite back a smile before Virgil speaks, standing up. "Yeah, both of you shut up and go back to training," he tells him, shooing them from the room.

He smiles at you, nodding as he ushers a laughing Andy and Ibou out of the room. You turn your attention back to the vice captain. "So the strain?"

"I mean.." he starts and you hum, waiting for him to go on as you stand back up. "It was more of a tweak than a strain. "

"Of course," you nod, knowing he was bullshitting you.

This wasn't the first time he had landed himself in your physio room with some non-existent injury. Trent thought you didn't know about his crush on you but you did; if the players did one thing when they came in, it was gossip - especially amongst themselves when they think you aren't paying any attention to them.

You reach for his shorts, pulling them back into place. "Well if this tweak comes back, come see me. I'll treat it." You tell him, a smile on your face.

Trent stands, nodding. "Thanks, y/n."

"Anytime, Trent."

He was off to training once again but you called for him, stopping him in his tracks. "Next time you wanna see me, just come by. No need to bring the whole squad with you." You give him a look, the man's face red as he nods, walking out of the room.

The afternoon rolled into the evening, the boys finished up their training and whoever needed to be checked out stopped by but for the most part, the place was empty.

You had stayed back after the rest of the staff had left, putting up some decorations for the holidays. You're up on the chair, taping the garland to the wall when someone knocks on the door.

"Hey," Trent calls, stepping into the room before shutting the door behind him. You smiled at him, getting off of the chair. "Hey Trent, you okay?"

"Yeah," he nods, walking over to the bench furthest from the door. You did a few things, putting away the tape and the scissors. "What are you doing here so late?" He asks, leaning on the bench.

"Putting up decorations," you tell him, back turned to him as you shoved the leftover decorations into the bottom cupboard. "What are you doing here? Is everything okay?"

He shrugs, his fingers fiddling with the hem of his shorts. "I uh.. well there's a pain in my thigh and it won't go away."

"What happened?" You walk over to the man, "I can take a look if you want."

"Yeah, could you?" He says, watching as you crouch down in front of him. Trent can't stop himself, all the filthy thoughts flooding his mind. "Where's the pain?" You asked, glancing up at him through your lashes and he inhales, trying to control himself - the thought was there, he just had to make it happen, that's if you wanted to.

"Upper thigh," he whispers and you nod, rubbing your hands together which makes him smile, reminding him of earlier that day. "You're gonna have to pull your shorts up, Trent."

He nods, pulling the left side up and bunching it by the top of his thigh as you slowly start feeling over the area. Your fingers were soft but firm, his head tipped back and lips pressed together as you moved your hand a bit closer to the top of his thigh.

"Where exactly is this pain?" You look up at him, brows furrowed. Trent looks down at you, tongue passing over his bottom lip. "A little higher," he whispers and you finally get what he meant.

Oh my gosh two days ago (sorry this took me so long to write up, I had to digest it all lol) I saw The View, Stephen Colbert, and All In- and I MET ANDREW AND JOSH!!!! I think this is going to be a long post but just stay with me here 😭😭

1. Okay so first was The View- we had general tickets and stood outside from around 7:30 to 9ish I think? It was so cold 😭😭 thankfully the wind wasn’t too bad

Josh was the first guest and the segment was def longer than the view. This was cut from the final show but there was a part where they talked about josh interviewing the lord of the rings cast at some zoom thing 5 years ago? At least I think that’s what it was I don’t really remember

Josh thought he was bombing during the interview so I felt really bad lol, I didn’t think he was but he kept talking about how poorly he was doing. I didn’t think the audience was quiet but maybe it just wasn’t reaching the stage?

At the end of the interview he like stood up and leaned over to shake Stephen’s hand but his pants kind of fell down so everyone on my side could see his underwear so that was um interesting (it was firetruck red for anyone who cares??)

Anyway quick shout out to the guy who does stand up before colbert comes on to warm up the crowd, he’s so fantastic

Lowkey the show itself was kind of boring and a little terrible but they all did so great in the show!! And our seats were so good too:

he was kind of down the line atp but still kind of involved in the conversation with me, so i asked him if i could get a polaroid pic with him (mind you, this camera is my opp and has been giving me problems all day, and had to spend $11 at a duane reade to replace the batteries so i was a little bit nervous lol). the photo was a little awkward and i was really nervous because polaroid doesn’t take the best pics in the dark- thankfully the CAMERA WORKED!! and the pic printed

i asked him to sign it and he said he would, but he was back down the line at this point (and i was a little worried cause the last time i asked a celeb for a pic/autograph was dame judy dench and then she just walked away… i was less nervous abt andrew forgetting though because he’s like 40 and she was like 80). so, i went to the end of the line to try to meet him, but at the same time he walked back to my mom in line to look for me 😭so we missed each other and he went back inside

but! after they closed the stage door i talked to these two other guys and they told me everyone usually comes out the front, so my mom and i ran back through the hotel to get to the front 😭there were a bunch of people there though

like 20 mins later andrew came out and he recognized me and signed my polaroid and took another photo with me 🥹🥹 i was so so so grateful!! he is the sweetest and every time i look at the pic i cant believe its real lol😅😭

oh and then afterwards richard kind just walked up on the sidewalk lol??? i asked him to take a pic and he was like “sure! but then i am going to go upstairs to have champagne with my friends” he’s so cute lol, and then i saw him walking through the lobby in the hotel too lmao I waved to him he’s so cute and sweet🤭

i had the best day ever and everybody was so so so nice. gonna keep the signed polaroid in the back of my phone forever now 😭🙏🙏🩷

Okay so I’m a relatively new fan of Harold and trying to get into the fanbase but man these acronyms are A Lot….. seeing USM and MSM and SSM and JMD and WOSM……. my dude I am lost……. one crumb of guidance I beg you……….

So a lot of the time if it’s acronyms relating to the names of comics writers, I am not helpful. But here is what I can tell you

The live action universes that feature Harry are going to be referred to as the Raimiverse (the original trilogy with Tobey Maguire) and either TASM or the Webbverse, used interchangeably, to refer to The Amazing Spider-Man movies starring Andrew Garfield)

To my knowledge, whenever someone is referring to comics under the name The Amazing Spider Man, that’s going to be called ASM instead of TASM. TASM is for movies, ASM is for comics.

There are more animated series than I can count but the ones referred to most often in here are TSSM, The Spectacular Spider-Man featuring Josh Keaton and James Arnold Taylor as Peter and Harry, USM, Ultimate Spider-Man featuring Drake Bell and Matt Lanter as Peter and Harry respectively, and MSM or MSM 2017, Marvel’s Spider Man, featuring my beloved Robbie Daymond and Max Mittleman as Peter and Harry respectively.

Confusingly, MSM is also used to refer to the current insomniac game series, though they are often referred to with some variation of the word insomniac to differentiate them and keep the tags organized. However, if something is referring to MSM 2017 it’s almost always referring to the show and if it’s MSM2 or MSM2023 in my experience it’s almost always the game. Yes, this is confusing.

Just as confusing is the fact that despite SSM is used to refer to the spectacular spider man comics and separate them from the show similar to ASM, USM is the acronym used for both the show and the comics in most instances I’ve seen. So you’re just gonna have to use context clues. Most things referencing a comic are usually going to include issue numbers which helps.

Comics arcs that commonly have their own acronyms are OMD, aka One More Day, and TCW, aka The Child Within. Sometimes you’ll also see KLH to refer to Kravens Last Hunt but that’s not nearly as relevant to Harry so I wouldn’t worry too much about it.

There’s also TNAS, The New Animated Series which came out near the release of Spider-Man 2002 and is intended to continue it, but because it’s kind of terrible you’re not gonna see it often. The 90’s animated series is much better but has no acronym and will usually be specified as specifically the 90’s Animated Series.

I believe WOSM is simply referring to the World Of Spider-Man but I could be wrong. (Edit: I was wrong, it’s Web Of Spider-Man. Everyone say thanks @theopolis)

I know JMD is referring to a specific comics writer but I’m not even confident of the name of the top of my head. Because I’m not terribly proficient in the comics quite yet, I’m probably gonna ask @oliveroctavius and/or @theopolis who are far more familiar with them than I am for that and any other comics acronyms I’m missing and I hope they don’t mind the tag.

I don’t think anything actually happened between Mick and the mother of Brian’s son, Pat Andrews. She said in an interview that he showed up drunk to her and Brian’s flat once, and when Brian left to go to work, Mick put his arm around her and she said, “don’t be silly” and laughed it off even though she was a bit scared, she didn’t know him very well and her infant son was in the house. But I think Brian did believe something went on between the two, which is probably why he for one abandoned Pat and Julian and why he seduced many of Mick’s gfs including Marianne Faithfull and P.P Arnold who was an Ikette.

There are several versions of the story, but only one truth — obviously, we don't know which one it is, lol. It wouldn't surprise me if Pat was too embarrassed to admit it. Brian is dead, and it's unlikely Mick would talk about it, so she can say whatever she wants. But it also wouldn't surprise me if Mick intentionally lied just to brag and annoy Brian. It might have happened like she said.

From what I've read, Keith doesn't really focus on his bandmates' relationships and limits himself to saying what he believes happened in this case.

I'm not sure of the timeline of when P.P Arnold got involved with Mick. I remember he was also with Marianne, and they had threesomes, so if P.P got involved with Brian during that, it's not like it was actually a cheat on her part. She and Mick were never official. I'm not sure he would have been upset with Brian for that.

I know Marianne says a lot of things, but in her book, she slept with Mick first, and then with Brian (kinda of) and Keith, one after the other.

She was hanging out with Tara Browne, Keith and Brian, and they were obviously stoned. She ended up hooking up with Brian and going home after that (she didn't like it very much). She left without warning, and according to her, Keith called her, making her come back, and they spent the night together (she like it very much).

Brian was definitely with Anita at the time, so before Anita slept with Mick during the film Performance, Marianne had already slept with one of Anita's boyfriends. I don't remember Marianne saying that she cheated on Mick with Brian, although she did cheat on Mick with Keith later (in revenge for Mick's affair with Anita) and with other men, including Tony Sanchez, a drugdealer.

In short, if Brian got revenge on Mick for allegedly sleeping with Pat, I don't think it was with P.P and Marianne. I loveeee chatting about their stuff, so I'm happy to read your opinion,

Since MIT opened the first-of-its-kind venture studio within a university in 2019, it has demonstrated how a systemic process can help turn research into impactful ventures. 

Now, MIT Proto Ventures is launching the “R&D Venture Studio Playbook,” a resource to help universities, national labs, and corporate R&D offices establish their own in-house venture studios. The online publication offers a comprehensive framework for building ventures from the ground up within research environments.

“There is a huge opportunity cost to letting great research sit idle,” says Fiona Murray, associate dean for innovation at the MIT Sloan School of Management and a faculty director for Proto Ventures. “The venture studio model makes research systematic, rather than messy and happenstance.” 

Bigger than MIT

The new playbook arrives amid growing national interest in revitalizing the United States’ innovation pipeline — a challenge underscored by the fact that just a fraction of academic patents ever reach commercialization.

“Venture-building across R&D organizations, and especially within academia, has been based on serendipity,” says MIT Professor Dennis Whyte, a faculty director for Proto Ventures who helped develop the playbook. “The goal of R&D venture studios is to take away the aspect of chance — to turn venture-building into a systemic process. And this is something not just MIT needs; all research universities and institutions need it.”

Indeed, MIT Proto Ventures is actively sharing the playbook with peer institutions, federal agencies, and corporate R&D leaders seeking to increase the translational return on their research investments.

“We’ve been following MIT’s Proto Ventures model with the vision of delivering new ventures that possess both strong tech push and strong market pull,” says Mark Arnold, associate vice president of Discovery to Impact and managing director of Texas startups at The University of Texas at Austin. “By focusing on market problems first and creating ventures with a supportive ecosystem around them, universities can accelerate the transition of ideas from the lab into real-world solutions.” 

What’s in the playbook

The playbook outlines the venture studio model process followed by MIT Proto Ventures. MIT’s venture studio embeds full-time entrepreneurial scientists — called venture builders — inside research labs. These builders work shoulder-to-shoulder with faculty and graduate students to scout promising technologies, validate market opportunities, and co-create new ventures.

“We see this as an open-source framework for impact,” says MIT Proto Ventures Managing Director Gene Keselman. “Our goal is not just to build startups out of MIT — it’s to inspire innovation wherever breakthrough science is happening.”

The playbook was developed by the MIT Proto Ventures team — including Keselman, venture builders David Cohen-Tanugi and Andrew Inglis, and faculty leaders Murray, Whyte, Andrew Lo, Michael Cima, and Michael Short. 

“This problem is universal, so we knew if it worked there’d be an opportunity to write the book on how to build a translational engine,” Keselman said. “We’ve had enough success now to be able to say, ‘Yes, this works, and here are the key components.’” 

In addition to detailing core processes, the playbook includes case studies, sample templates, and guidance for institutions seeking to tailor the model to fit their unique advantages. It emphasizes that building successful ventures from R&D requires more than mentorship and IP licensing — it demands deliberate, sustained focus, and a new kind of translational infrastructure. 

How it works

A key part of MIT’s venture studio is structuring efforts into distinct tracks or problem areas — MIT Proto Ventures calls these channels. Venture builders work in a single track that aligns with their expertise and interest. For example, Cohen-Tanugi is embedded in the MIT Plasma Science and Fusion Center, working in the Fusion and Clean Energy channel. His first two venture successes have been a venture using superconducting magnets for in-space propulsion and a deep-tech startup improving power efficiency in data centers.

“This playbook is both a call to action and a blueprint,” says Cohen-Tanugi, lead author of the playbook. “We’ve learned that world-changing inventions often remain on the lab bench not because they lack potential, but because no one is explicitly responsible for turning them into businesses. The R&D venture studio model fixes that.”
