Angel dust shuffled uncomfortably in his makeup chair, reading the script of his film for that day while his baby kicked happily from the safety of his womb. A small smile stretched across his lips as he rubbed his belly with his lower set of arms. Their situation was less than stellar, and Valentino was working him to second-death to pump out movies before Angel gave birth, but Angel enjoyed his pregnancy despite that. Knowing his little baby boy or girl would arrive soon. There were even websites dedicated to countdowns for when Angel was due to pop – which was any day now.

Many fans had their own bets on birthdates and the time of day he'll deliver, and it took a toll. Angel just wanted to give birth in peace, no cameras, no watchful eyes, just him, a doctor and his child. But he knew that wasn't going to happen. Valentino had planned to livestream his labour and birth to all of hell and profit off of it as one last ‘fuck you’ to Angel and their baby.

He was quickly jolted out of his daze with a sharp pain, bewildered, Angel took a deep breath and pressed his palms to his lower back. He had been feeling these pains all morning, and now they were coming more frequently. “Fuck..” He hissed under his breath. He was too scared to admit to himself what was really going on to him. He was in labour. Hair and makeup came over and started doing his hair, all Angel had to do was push through until shooting was finished and have the baby somewhere private.

“What is the fucking holdup Angie-?!” Valentino yelled from across the studio, even though he can obviously see that Angel is still being tended to.

Angel sighed and waved the cosmetics team off, simply leaving his appearance how it is and standing up from the chair. He could feel just how much lower his baby sat on his pelvis than before. As he began walking across the room, he felt a small pop between his legs and the warm feeling of fluid running down them. He quickly picked up the pace to get away from the puddle and stepped onto the set.

'This can't be happening...'

“ACTION!” Val shouted, and soon filming began.

Angel was out of it. Way too focused on breathing through the aches rather than acting. Luckily Valentino wasn't noticing and he allowed the other actor to do whatever he wanted as long as he could hurry it up already and cum. And as quickly as he prayed for it, the other came right onto Angel's stomach.

“Cut! Hot stuff you two!” Valentino applauded, ushering the stage crew to start cleaning right away for the next shoot that thankfully didn't involve Angel.

As soon as Angel was free to go, he slipped away to his dressing room where he finally collapsed onto the floor, sweat beading on his forehead. This isn't what he wanted at all, he wanted a hospital, he wanted a friendly nurse to hold his hand and coach him through the birth. But the pain and the pressure in Angel's lower half only grew stronger with each passing minute. As soon as the contraction subsided, he acted fast. Grabbing some scissors from his vanity and bottles of water from his mini fridge.

He fell back onto the ground and huffed, finally feeling the urge to push. He grunted and bore down, pushing with all his might. He didn't know how much time he had, so he hurried and pushed until he felt dizzy.

With one final push and a muffled scream, the tiniest of cries filled Angel Dust's dressing room. He panted in shock for a few moments before looking down at the floor between his legs, where a little white moth baby lay crying out for her mother. Angel felt the urge to vomit as he reached down and picked up the little moth. It was supposed to be a regular day, a regular shoot in the studio. He hadn't expected to go into labour today of all days. Yet there he was, sitting on the floor of his dressing room, covered in blood and holding Valentino's spawn.

He felt everything and nothing at all.

As he stared down at the baby, taking in her features, all he could see was a silhouette of his abuser. A sharp twinge pierced his heart as he ran his hand up her tiny antennae, which twitched from the sensation.

Valentino would soon find them. And the thought terrified Angel. He knew what Valentino would do when the pregnancy between them would no longer be profitable for the company. But as the baby's cries softened in the quiet room, Angel laid back against the wall. Savouring the moment with his daughter before the reality would set in once again.

hey everyone. this will sound kinda embarrassing but i (21M), hv been talking to this girl (21F) from my finance class for a while now (like 4 months..?), and honestly, i hv nooo idea what we are. i know for sure we're definitely more than friends, at least to me, thats how it feels like.

we met through a mutual friend, and from there we kinda just go with the flow. we hold hands sometimes, she lets me stay over her place (just sleeping, nothing else, but on the same bed or couch), and she invites me to go places with her-- sometimes doing nothing at all, we just spend a lot of time together. ive nvr had this kind of closeness with someone of the opposite gender and still are just friends... we've nvr had a real convo abt what we're doing (to each other).

as far as i know, and from her friends, shes not seeing anyone else, or treats anyone the way she does to me. and im definitely not seeing anyone either. (i want her so bad)

its messing with my head because i really really like this girl. i want to believe that she likes me too, with how shes treating me but i dont know if she just sees me as a really close friend, or if shes waiting for me to make a move. i dont think shes playing with my feelings or whatnot. hopefully.

This is one of his favorite memories with you. It has become a tradition at this point, whenever you're both able to paint your nails, a date is planned. Maybe it's because of how close you get to be, or how gently you hold his hands, but it feels so personal and intimate to him. It's always a comforting night for Jongseob when you're painting each other's nails.

All that being said, his heart does beat just a little faster as well. He loves everything about your hands, he just finds them so pretty, and adores how they feel on his. Eyes are always split between watching your focused ones, or your hands. Either way, he can't stop himself from blushing a little, or getting giddy when you get closer.

He would love doing nail art and designs even if they aren't 'good'. Every time you two get together for this, you both bring in a few more charms or colors. With all love, you can't necessarily say it's the best work you've seen, but nothing is better than Jongseob painting your favorite band logos or names onto your nails. One of you will at some point pull out the character nail stickers. Almost a game to see who will break on buying them first. Bonus: Painting each other's nails the other's eye color, or if you share the same color, matching but painting different patterns / using corresponding charms.

It's also absolutely alright with him if you want to keep it more simple. Jongseob would like your initials on him or vice versa. He doesn't mind if it's shakily written, as long as it's your handwriting on him. He honestly just cares about you and the time together. A lot of laughter, it doesn't need to be taken 100% seriously at all times.

A bit more specific, but he'd love to paint your nails outside. It'd take a bit of work to find a day that's not too windy and has nice weather, but it's a secret dream of his. He thinks it'd be peaceful sitting by a pond or the sea while painting them similar color. Jongseob would love if you painted his the color of the trees or pretty flowers.

Genuinely just so happy the whole time, you can see the smile in his eyes. His hands are just warm and soft enough, neither of you let go once the nails aren't wet. If they aren't drying quick enough, Jongseob would lift your hand up to his mouth and softly blow air onto your nails. The only maybe downside is he starts to get a little impatient when it's just nails keeping him from touching you.

It's one of Jongseob's favorite memories because it always keeps appearing; Whenever he looks down, he sees a reminder of you. While typing, he'll occasionally focus in on how much he loves the work you did on him. He'll occasionally scroll through old photos, and he loves seeing all the different nails you two have had. Always ends up playing with his hands, and thinking of you.

In one of the many Inns, you and Usagi are taking advantage of the alone time you both wanted. It was quiet, peaceful, and you longed to be held in the strong arms of this samurai rabbit. This was a nice change of pace to the chaos of life back home. Everyone wondered where you were going on vacation. You just told them that you were going to visit Japan... which technically isn't a lie since Usagis world was Asian inspired.

Usagi ordered some sake for you to try. It... really wasn't bad. But soon enough you found yourself looking at him, eyeing him up and down. Lustful thoughts invaded your mind. This isn't the first time that you've thought of spending the night with him, what it'd be like to have him inside you, what kind of a lover he'd be...

I was curious about TES after Yoongi was getting whacked left and right by anon's and read all the 3 parts + drabbles. I agree with them that he is toxic and but I also noticed something peculiar.

Why does y/n keep giving in that relationship ? Like, she buys him that music device, she spends her money on him after his first hit, she goes down on him more times than he does in the series. Even when they were just fxckbuddies, he seemed to be way ruder and seeing their relationship, I don't think he has made up to her. She is doing everything & he is just receiving while giving back little. The relationship seems parasitic rather than symbiotic.

im ngl to you i think its just because of the way the series is written and it's impossible for me to cover everything in their relationship!! LOL. so all those little moments of Yoongi being there for her, offering the $$ and emotional support she needs to pursue her dreams, doing the dishes for her when shes busy, those don't really get highlighted just bc of the scenes that ive chosen to write about. i tried to show it in the AMM answers (not sure if you read those too) but basically whatever she wants, she gets and Yoongi buys for her or acquiesces (even if its like food at 3am). like the cats that she's obsessed with. if she randomly brought home another cat he'd just cave to what she wanted loool. also in an amm i think i said that he, mc, and mocha wear family halloween costumes LMAO he def didnt like them at first but he does stuff like that to make her smile all the time!

anyhow the entire concept of the series was enemies to lovers so i truly wanted to create a character who was RUDEEE and in the depths so that he could get a second chance. ive always said in asks abt TES that if u meet a man like first chap Yoongi, u should run LOL but post-final-cup, Yoongi is absolutely trying his best to meet her needs and use his words and communicate with her like a big boy! also i think in my head he's just not as.. creative as her?? so like it'd never occur to him to rent a limo for sex LMAO but he would take her out for a nice romantic dinner to celebrate and that's not something that was particularly interesting to write a whole drabble abt 😥 so like the BJ drabble was meant to harken back to ch2, so that's why she was doing that. so i don't think it's totally accurate to say he always gives less.

also when i was writing the series, it was important to me that she has her flaws too. they're just flaws that arent as obvious because we're in her head! like she's so obviously a busybody and nosy AF. she's attracted to Yoongi cause she's kinda lost in her life and has a very "I want to fix him" attitude that's not good for either of them. so that moment at the end of the [REDACTED] confrontation where Yoongi storms off instead of thanking her was meant to be her wakeup call. he had to come to terms with it on her own and she ultimately had to respect his decisions, even when she disagrees with them. in a relationship i can still see her trying to take over and "my way or the highway" at times but Yoongi is more chill now so he mostly goes along with it, even if he bickers for fun with her over it! so imo the relationship is quite balanced now!!

AN ODE TO REAL RED (or, i didn’t wake up planning to write an analysis on storytelling through red but here we are)

look, im really out of my depth here. i really am not one to make these lengthy, wordy analysis posts that articulate what color means to me. (if it’s your kind of thing, pls go read everything @dribs-and-drabbles posts! i love it there and look forward to the episodic breakdown each week). and yet, after my first rewatch, it hit me how much the color red spoke volumes. it hits different because it really explored the color in the way traditional storytelling and filmmaking treats color: as a visual dialog; to draw out depth in a scene.

ive told @talays-portkey that i needed to turn off everything i learned in color theory (and production/post-production for that matter) when i go into each episode. why? this show pokes fun (and i LOVE them for it, to an extent) at using the concept of color to saturate the show: tess’ wardrobe, spotlights, set locations, the collective group at the assoc, and script all create this gorgeous, playful style that works into believing it’s a different universe. there’s specifics in the worldbuilding (ex: counting, flowers, the beer) and then there’s the production that makes it fun to guess how each episode will build on the last.

but i think Real Red really shines in bringing us back to their world. to me, it’s the show’s way of telling me, “hey, time to turn that brain on because it’s now a dialog. look at what it’s telling you now.”

it gets reallllly lengthy (literally an a-z on everything on red i found), see ya under the cut

let me preface this by saying that this has no merit beyond my own interpretation of the visual dialog and it consistently fell into two categories: 1) of course, Dang translates to Red (so, Puen) and 2) Red symbolizing STOP.

a. the first real hint at red in the ambulance scene (not pictured, the vehicle itself probably also red); but i find this show a nice set up when the reflection lines up with the red, where the reflection would line up with his chest, like yes bb you are Dang b. and then we know how this scene continues, with the medical gear in the bg; fits the scene, him thrashing about and begging to leave, but everyone is telling him to STOP and pins him down

c. since we flip back to the au, this red is serving the two worlds imo - it’s being playful as a set for the Red episode, while at the same time, it’s a dialog; here, it represents the vehicle that will bring talay to puen (the secret island) but also the tides are preventing talay from crossing; d. he’s wearing the lighter end of the red palette; the boat is turned over, a visual representation of a STOP

e. he’s playing with the red controller… i love a show

f. the overflow of fan support (which, aww! deserved) has a specified cubby in his apartment, in plain sight; it’s not organized in any particular way but still there for him to see (there’s something to be said about his character but this post isn’t about that) g. then we get the bucket hat callback (SOBS) and we have the camera lined up like so - not only showing how much his heart misses talay, but the oncoming divide that the fans will create between them

h. back to the au, where puen’s wish is written in red i. when i say this show has layerssss

j. (SOBS AGAIN) no but really, when i heard his mom’s voice and he just STOPS; i thought to myself, “is2g if she’s wearing red, i will never speak ill of this show ever again" (pending transaction); there’s plenty of other posts about the art in the bg that you can find in the tag

k./l. now we get into the push and pull of getting them reunited; this is when the push and pull comes in the form of green vs red; the universe is both trying to bring them together and keep them apart; nature/set is organically telling them where they will eventually end up (glass house), but the artificial inserts of red also is STOPPING them from letting it happen

m. STOP interviewing!

n. STOP and take a break (au version) o. STOP and take a break (ou version)

p. the green vs red continues (outside edition)

q. red vs green (inside edition), but this is where the visual dialog really stands out; here, the tim horton’s Red is evenly halved with the green wall, representing the turmoil talay is in r. we switch to where puen’s voice is coming from, where the green starts to outweigh the red

s. the close up now positions talay to have the plants in the bg as he hears puen’s speech confirm his true feelings for him t. without saying a word, talay rushes back to the theater and we see him physically abandon red

u. i love a good wardrobe choice; something something when a person embodies a house v. the lamp speaks for itself *shoves mic at it*

w. just wanted to point out that the last time we were in this glass house in the au, puen was sitting in that corner with his apology; intentional or not, i think it’s lovely that the hint of Red is in the same place x. he STOPS (and i CRY)

y. when doubt creeps in and he thinks it’s still tess, i love that red is still peeking through; literally STOPPING him from believing who is in front of him and almost leaves z. “ai DANG” (and then my soul left my body and the shell of user talaypuens writes this post)

bonus: this can be interpreted in two ways - either they are recreating a piece of the au in their own personal space or we treat it as the visual dialog (that it’s both Puen and it’s a warning… to STOP??)

Chapter 1

Everyone always told you it was really quite impractical to bring your car with you when you moved to New York. And while you wholeheartedly agreed- you just couldn't bear to part with her, in all her busted bumper and peeling paint glory. The old gal had gotten you from sea to shining damn sea more than once and there's memories in every stitch of her leather seating. And in all the shitty little trinkets you've collected that are shoved haphazardly across the dashboard and dangling ostentatiously from the rearview mirror that occasionally call attention from douchey cops with nothing better to do than pull someone over for 'obstructed vision'. Or maybe it was the Fuck The Police bumper sticker. Who could say.

Tonight though, is one of those nights where you wish you had scrapped her for some cash to justify refilling a Metro card. 

Parking is always slippery business in this neighborhood, downtown with the streets lined with cafes and boutiques and an outrageous amount of tourism. So while you aren't surprised per say when the nearest parking spot is a solid ten minute walk from your apartment, you are still disappointed. At least it has the potential to be a nice stroll. It seems like a quiet night, with markedly less honking, road raged shouting, or various other nuisances that make living in the Big Apple so dang quirky.

A couple of sad finagling attempts at parallel parking later and your beater is sandwiched securely (maybe… maybe too securely) between a large Cadillac SUV and some kind of hideous Jeep. Throwing the gear shift into park, you sit there for a moment to just contemplate your life. And glower unhappily at the bag of groceries on the seat besides you that, well, isn't gonna bring itself inside. Sigh. Okay. 

The driver's door creaks open and you gather your bag (singular. it's one bag- but you're still not happy about it) and keys and phone and- wallet? Wallet?? Oh- it's in your coat pocket. Wait- keys? Don't lock the keys in the car- okay, no you're holding them. You kick the car door closed with what you hope would look like a cool little move, had you been able to keep your balance and not trip yourself in the process. And the door bounces back open. 

Scowling, you give it a good slam with your elbow and miserably lock it with the key fob. Definitely more times than necessary, the telltale chirp of the mechanism sounding off several times in rapid succession. Better safe than sorry. 

It's not like it's a particularly dangerous area. Even the brunt of the superhero bullshit stays more uptown than your little nook of Manhattan and muggings are a slim to none occurrence. The people are often kind and friendly when you walk your dog around the surrounding blocks and in the past few years of having to drag your sorry ass ten blocks from your car to your building at unholy hours of the night, you've had yet to have a bad or even remotely off putting experience. 

Guess everyone's luck runs out eventually.

The streets are quiet, but fairly well lit. Every once in a while you have to trek past an alley, dark and dank and unwelcoming in all senses. You don't look. There's something about peering into the darkness, the void. Ever since you were a child and long drives home through Midwestern countryside filled your evenings, you couldn't bear to glance into the woods once the sun had set. It was an unsettling sensation you could only describe as the pure fear of someone, or something, looking back at you through the unforgiving, unknown territory. 

Reminded uncomfortably of this rather baseless trepidation, you slip your hand into the pocket with your keys and your fingers find the little key-chain stun-gun. Your mother insisted you have some kind of self defense on you at all times, living alone in a big city. You tried to tell her that… well… frankly the dinky little 'weapon' would hardly stand up against any of the truly terrifying creatures that skulk around the boroughs. But she probably wouldn't take that very well. She worries enough about you as it is. After every big (and small) hero versus villain clash she gets wind of from the media she's calling you to make sure you weren't thrown from a bridge or had a car dropped on you. 'Not yet, but here's hoping,' you always respond with the dry sense of humor that drives your poor mom bonkers. 

Pathetic weapon in hand (though in truth… maybe it looks more like some kind of pocket vibrator- it's even pink! Come on, Mom!), you steel your nerves and doggedly avoid glancing down the alleyways despite the looming curiosity that always gnaws at your innards. It makes you feel a bit like a child that's going to get caught red handed, anxious and perturbed. 

A sound comes up from behind you, at least you think it's from behind. Hasty footsteps, labored breathing. You forget all about the stupid alley and look over your shoulder. There's a man rapidly scrambling down the sidewalk towards you, looking quite like he'd had an awful day. His lab coat is dirty and his glasses are cracked and he even looks like he might be injured. He doesn't look twice at you as he pushes past. 

That's when you notice… the other noise. It makes the hairs on the back of your neck stand up and you don't think about it- you glance down the dark catwalk. For a moment, you see nothing. Then two glowing red pinpricks of light glare back through the gloom. Your heart seizes in your chest when two… becomes four. And that unnerving sound is getting closer- like mechanical whirring occasionally interrupted by a dull kerchunk like someone's slamming a hammer into the concrete with perfect repetition.

Lab Coat Guy doesn't make it very far. A long, metal appendage rockets out of the alleyway with a distinctive shhhnkk and it's claws hook into the back of his clothes and lift him several feet off the ground. A second figure comes into view from the shadows, shrouded with darkness as he toes the line between sidewalk and alley.

Your heart can't take this stress, really, you promised your mother your anxiety was under control. You haven't moved a muscle, frozen in place barely a few steps from where Lab Coat Guy was pleading incoherently, probably for his life, while dangling pathetically in the air. Maybe if you don't so much as breathe you'll go invisible. You feel like a rabbit cornered by a pack of feral dogs and the flight or fight instinct has securely settled on… fright. 

"Honestly, David. You thought you could get away?" The voice is almost lilting with melody, gentle on the ears and pleasant. A bizarre contrast as you take in the imposing form of the man who takes the final step into the light. Supervillain, for sure. Trench coat and round sunglasses. Really? The giant robotic tentacles coming from his person aside, that is, it's a dead giveaway. You know who he is immediately, anyhow. You don't live under a rock, he's been the headline of every paper for weeks. Doc Ock, is what they've taken to calling him. Previously some kind of esteemed scientist, Otto Octavius. You really don’t keep up with this wild stuff, really. It’s just rather impossible to be totally ignorant, with the media foaming at the mouth to keep everyone informed of the ridiculous goings on of the city.

He doesn't spare you even a second glance, slowly lowering the blubbering Lab Coat Guy (David?) from his place in the air and launching him abruptly against the door of a car parked alongside the street with such force the vehicle shudders, keeping him pinned there with a claw pressing flat to his chest. Maybe it was a good thing you had to leave your car so far away… You’re pretty sure your insurance doesn’t cover comic book villain damages.

"Please, please, listen, you don't understand, I can't-" David is probably finding it hard to continue begging with the metal crushing into his chest with such force the car door is beginning to creak and crumple under the pressure. Ouch. Looks painful. You're uncomfortably aware of that fact that you could be next if you don't make a fucking run for it. But you're still shell shocked, feet locked into place and eyes wide like a deer caught in headlights. 

"No, you listen to me, David," the good Doctor lowers his voice as he leans down so he's eye level with the terrified man, "this is your final warning. I expect results. By the end of the week. Or else." 

The mechanical arm hums in a low robotic thrum as it retreats from Mr. Lab Coat's battered body. The man takes a moment to stagger to his feet, no doubt suffering from at least a few broken ribs, and he doesn't dare to look back as he hurries away as quickly as his injuries allow. He's gone around the corner of the block as quickly as he had appeared and you're uneasily aware of your current, somehow worse situation.

It's just the two of you. Alone.

ok so i wrote this short scene like 4 weeks ago bc i couldn’t get this scenario out of my head. It’s the first time ive ever written ANYTHING so be nice to me pls. Anyways here it fucking is. (oh and btw this is post tros/canon divergence)

finn and his boyfriend poe are talking in the main room of the base.

"ya know im kinda starting to .... like ben a little bit." poe tells him "really? i guess i get along with him and somewhat understand him but liking the guy??" finn says doubtfully.

"well at least he seems to be very helpful to our cause."

then a noise from outside of the main room rings in their ears, sounding like ... giggling.

"i didn’t see you for a whole 3 hours, i missed you, your face, ... your lips." rey says blissfully

"i know sweetheart but maybe we shouldn’t be doing this in the middle of the hall." ben says while smiling "people here are still just warming up to me after all and i don’t wanna make such an .... inappropriate impression." ben says.

rey kisses him one more time & ben can’t help but give as much passion as she demands. "okay maybe you’re right." rey says seeing his point. They stare at each other in comfortable silence for a few seconds.

"I never thought I’d have this." ben says still not believing that this beautiful woman is currently in his arms. " have what?" rey asks

"you, your love, people not taking advantage of my power. im not sure I even deserve this." ben says almost in disbelief. "you do!" rey assures him.

"i used to dream... about having a home that is surrounded by flowers & green .. just beautiful colors of nature you know." ben starres and listens to her with so much love in his eye rey might start crying. "maybe we can find something like that by any chance." rey says hopefully "we will! i promise you, you'll have the most beautiful garden in the galaxy rey!" rey smiles at him and can’t help but kiss him again. Ben doesn’t mind and smiles into the kiss while rey giggled and goes in again and again and again.

"okay i think actually finn and poe wanted something from me so i'll see you in a bit?" rey says. "absolutely, i'll go ask rose if she needs any help with fixing one of the x wings." ben says. "alright see you later love." rey says, this is isn’t the first time she called him that but ben still can not quite believe it everytime it comes out her mouth. And with one more kiss or... five with they part with rey smiling and laughing while opening the door to the main room.

i’m almost me again, you’re almost you (12.9k) - you know when you try to feel feelings and it’s like touching a hot stove? that’s what martin does this whole fic as he’s recovering from the lonely and jon is being so achingly sweet and good with him, but martin can’t 1. deal with it just yet 2. believe that jon loves him back. post-159 fic. god. READING it felt like touching a hot stove, or stepping into warm bathwater with cold feet. jesus christ. excellent

fate, or something (107.8k) - this is that 100k blind date s1 canon divergence au, and i tried it out and i LOVED IT. martin has a spine! it’s just so sweet. they’re friends! martin works with melanie for ghost hunt uk! a great read. it’s that sloooowwww burn shit.

forever is composed of nows (5.9k) - jon meets martin (a single dad) and martin’s daughter (agnes! who had good writing for a child in a fanfiction) in the library and things grow from there. this fic is SO CUTE. it’s wonderful. i literally had to take breaks while reading it to make wild animal noises because i couldn’t deal with it. god. it’s so good. hello my old heart (15.8k) - jess @thedistortion, the person who got me into tma and a dear pal, wrote this, and their brain is utterly huge and good. i love this so much. a deeply excellent post-159 fic that i would also say is pre-160. so many parts of this make me gasp and clutch my chest! but it also has an excellent realism to it. spiders that enrage me. please read.

yesterday is here (26.6k+, WIP) - post-canon jon and martin travel back in time and hang out with the pre-canon crew and attempt to make everything better. guaranteed happy ending. it’s so sweet watching jon be so kind and gentle and Better At People with his coworkers and make things right - and the s1 jon and martin fumble at seeing their extremely married and Knowing counterparts.

a measure outside the lines (22.9k) - i looove post-159 fics that show that martin hasn’t been completely severed from the lonely and still really struggles with it. this one is EXCELLENT at it. there’s some moments in this one that just made me totally ache because oh… oh martin. it’s so wonderful and has such excellent emotional catharsis

bury my heart on the coals (3.6k+, WIP) - au where martin was one of gertrude’s assistants who is now a ghost haunting the archives. i’m enjoying how he’s so judgmental of jon and all the little signs of Haunting that jon and the assistants are experiencing.

nor any more youth or age than there is now (6.5k) - outsider pov of jon being a primary school teacher in scotland post 159!! so, so sweet. i LOVE outsider pov stories and this one is so good. jon using his powers to protect his students and displaying all that character growth he’s had… the glimpses of his domestic life with martin… it’s adorable. please check it out.

take sides in divided cells (3.4k) - in an idyllic domestic post-canon, martin’s father tries to reconnect with him. from jon’s pov, so it’s a lot of him worrying about martin and then being protective. oof! oof! emotional hurt/comfort.

be kind, i beg you (14.9k) - post 159. oh this one is so achey… i love it. jon obsessing over “loved is past tense” and trying so hard to be Good to martin, while martin deals with mood swings from his recent emotional traumas. they try really hard and are very domestic, talk about gardening, and clean up the safehouse. T^T i read her tokyo ghoul au and i actually didn't have a clue what tokyo ghoul was, i looked it up on wikipedia before reading it djbfkdhdjd and her exes confront each other series was really amazing too. and im rambling but her jeonghan magic au, all the stars we steal, that was probably the first fic of her's i read and it hit something in me and i really wish i could read it again like it was the first time 😔 i really loved it sm. book wise, i will never forget jodi picoult's small great things. and also like any book reader, ps. i love you is definitely a favourite of mine :') it was so touching and i just genuinely really love that story. 

i have! there's quite a lot of moments like that, but this one where i went on vacation in the mountains? we stayed at a very nice place. on the first day i was really tired so i slept til the evening, and when i woke up it was drizzling and there's was quite a breeze, so i sat in front of the open door of my room. in front was a swimming pool so i just put on some music and watched the rain drop into the pool. it was the most relaxed i had felt in a while and i wish i could go back :') 

i would say i have! when we can talk anon off i'll tell you which one, but i really enjoyed writing this one drabble/oneshot and im glad other people seemed to like it as well :DD

 Well, I can’t really express anything but amazement at such an accomplishment, and to be honest I’m pretty blown away that so many of you have stuck with me since the beginning of this blog, and that so many of you enjoy Professor Oak enough to stay. I’ll forever stand by the fact that this blog was the best 'joke’ I ever made, and probably one of the most fulfilling things I’ve actively kept at. 

As much as I hope this blog has helped you find comfort and laughter, RPing Professor Oak has definitely changed me for the better, as well. It has given me an outlet to heal parts of myself and provide help to others, and also pushed me to practice positivity even when I know I get so low sometimes that I don’t even want to try. Another bonus is that I have met wonderful people here, most of you just strictly friends on the dash, but I’ve also gained relationships with people that have extended into discord and I’m sure it has made all the difference this past year and a half. 

As usual, I’m not really a fan of long-winded gushes of emotion, so I’ll keep it short, but I would really like to have it be known that my love for Professor Oak has grown tremendously, in ways I would have never reached without taking the time to thoughtfully craft his backstory and work to develop him further. I know he’s a very nostalgic character that so many of us know and respect that I’m always very careful of how I choose to build on the image without ruining what’s already there.  Out of all my many muses here, this one has seemingly ( and surprisingly ) all at once snuck its way as my primary blog; the blog I always look forward to logging into the most, where I enjoy following your activity whether it be IC or OOC, and just generally enjoy being in the presence of people so passionate about a fandom associated with my childhood. I love this little corner of a community that has welcomed me and engaged with me and unknowingly kept me going, and to look back at my experience and see that I’ve had no trouble at all makes me feel really lucky.

There will never be a way to fully and accurately express my thanks, but I will say it anyway: thank you so much, and I hope that no matter where you go, and no matter what you do, you are trying to be your best, and that you’re happy. Professor Oak will always be there to congratulate you when you reach your dreams.
