So stupid post I think it's incredibly lazy to answer the question of how to handle transmisogyny by letting cishet men off the hook with any misogynistic behavior they might exhibit solely on the basis of "this would not be offensive if they were a woman, so I'm going to act as if every cishet man I know is a woman just in case" The "never criticize men because closeted trans women might feel guilty" thing is so seriously ridiculous I really fail to see how this is supposed to let closeted trans women feel safer based on information they have not given you. ignoring misogyny is not a solution and is going to make women trans or not feel uncomfortable rather than safe in most cases, especially so in this case since it's about women feeling uncomfortable with sexual comments from men

my beautiful yuri... sooo critical to me that minthara 1. fell first 2. fell harder. something abt the idea of this self-avowed villain being utterly and inexplicably smitten with the sweetest nicest golden retriever girl in the world
#minthara is BEGGING to be fixed. i'm SO MAD that you can't fix her in the game#i do not understand people who are like ''she's irredeemable'' OKAY LET'S BE CLEAR i don't want her to be an unproblematic queen or whateve#she should be a murderer and stuff your honour she did in fact do all that. not discounting that in the slightest#BUT ALSO she did fall for karlach because karlach represents like. hope and happiness and peace and kindness and mercy#it's healing. for minthara. she's not like that cuz she's inherently evil she's fucking traumattiiizzeeeeeddddd#tbh when i first started shipping them i chased my tail a little on why karlach would even like her back but like#come on. karlach would kill for anything if it held her right#literally her greatest fear is being annoying and unlovable#she's a bit of a groveler. and minthara is the opposite of that so she can teach her to stop being a groveler and they meet in the middle#and it's perfect and they lived happily ever after#anyway#the meme on the right is old as fuck and i just never posted it. it's from months ago#which is a little unfortunate because i do think i might like it more than the drawing on the left#which is fresh from the factory (my hand)#but it's fine. it's fine#i also kinda wanna draw them with that 'short girl holding tall guy by the tie' meme? you know the one. that's them#ALSO VERY 'she ask for no pickles' as well#leave it to me to FOR ONCE get into a big fandom and then i pick a NICHE ASS TINY SHIP to get obsessed with#BUT THE BIGGEST SHIPS IN THIS FANDOM ARE FUCKING AWFUL#i fucking despise ********** and ********* IYKYK I WON'T BE A HATER IN THE TAGS BUT FUCKING IYKYYYYK#dm me if you want to hear me go on a tangent about the most popular f/f ship in this fandom and why i hate it with a deep passion#SO BAD#A NY WAY.#bg3#karlach#karlach cliffgate#minthara#minthara baenre#mintharlach#minlach

I’ve noticed that I end up focusing on a different character every time I get back into Don’t Starve. So now I’m playing the funny robot for the first time.

other people have already said it but it’s really soooo lame how Flat elgar’nan and ghilan’nain are. especially when you compare them to solas and mythal. elgar’nan was literally mythal’s husband, they had children together, surely he wasn’t just pure evil the entire time? why don’t we get to see any of their regrets in the literal regret prison that was originally intended for them? (because theyre just evil, of course!) why couldn’t what happened with the titans have been an unintended tragedy born from them just desiring bodies, unknowing that it would hurt and anger the titans, with those consequences spiraling into a brutal and bloody war between them… and then we could have actually seen more of what happened during this war, the impact it had on the titans and dwarves, and the desperation to end it that led to the death of the titans and solas’s regret and the eventual twisting of the evanuris into godhood… but nah. they’re just pure evil.

The Winchesters' underlying plot and unreliable narration of Dean as the new restless spirit, the new angry god (interference from on high) leeching trauma brainworms onto his parents' love story as he can find no happy ending without his beloved (his partner in apotheosis) in it

Some insights
While Libra is said to want to attain harmony, sometimes it is gained by striking back at those who hurt them, consequently restoring the balance.
Pisces Suns often act as mirrors, reflecting the behavior of the person they are facing. If someone is distant and guarded towards them, pisces withdraw. If they are shown kindness and generosity, it is returned. pisces is ruled by neptune, the great dissolver of boundaries. the sun represents what you embody, and because of this, a pisces sun's behavior is often influenced by their environment. Their mutable quality adds to their changeable nature. Even if pisces is kind and honest at heart, they can sometimes pretend to be uncaring or cold when facing someone embodying that attitude. It's a way for them to protect themselves from hurt. They are often misunderstood because of their ability to shapeshift.
Gemini Suns have the same chameleon-like abilities. However, theirs serve a different purpose. While Pisces suns adapt to protect themselves, Geminis do so in order to gain knowledge or understanding. With this sign being mercury-ruled, it’s important for them to learn from other people. Adapting the same behavior or interests as another allows them to create the conditions necessary to form a connection, where they can gain new information and learn new ways of doing things.
Mutable signs (Gemini, Virgo, Sagittarius, and Pisces) all can play roles to perfection. The mutable modality, which represents how you express energy, gives a formless and adaptable quality to the sun, making these natives highly versatile and able to shape themselves however they want. They can become masters at a job or skill that doesn’t truly resonate with their goals or values simply because it is asked of them. While cardinal and fixed signs are more natural when it comes to embodying specific qualities, mutable signs often observe, learn, and integrate them. The downside to this modality is that it can lead one to forget who they are at their core, consequently abandoning their actual aspirations.
Fixed signs (Taurus, Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius) are drawn to one another like moths to a flame. These signs often end up in tight relationships, whether romantic or not. They might seem different on the surface, but they have a lot in common; they are all equally committed to themselves, their goals, crafts, or relationships. What they see in another fixed sign is a loyal and dependable person who will stick with them through thick and thin. However, their belonging to the same modality can provoke clashes in their union. Fixed signs all have issues surrounding control, trust, and stubbornness. They can have a hard time letting someone else take the lead, often fighting to get the upper hand in the relationship and forgetting that they should be equals.
The Ascendant is said to represent the way you are perceived by others, but also the lens through which you see the world. If you see the world in a specific way, you are bound to attract situations that match the way you think. Take Leo Rising, for example. This placement is known for being creative and for wanting to win people’s admiration. Many of them end up pursuing creative paths that allow them to step into the spotlight, receiving approval for something they created. Capricorn Rising, known for having a lot of responsibilities placed on them from an early age, is often given very demanding jobs in adulthood that far exceed their capacities. They generally excel in their careers because they thrive under pressure. another example is Taurus Rising, well known for their desire for luxury and pleasure. These natives often become wealthy in order to fulfill their need for indulgence.
Communication is harder when someone’s Mercury clashes with yours in a square or opposition. Mercury is about the exchange and expression of thought. A square aspect is formed when two placements belonging to the same modality are in contact. An opposition is formed when the other’s placement is directly opposite yours. Basically, it becomes difficult for you to get your point across to the other person. You may have trouble understanding what they are saying. Perhaps your beliefs or ways of expressing yourselves are different, preventing you from opening up and creating closeness. Or maybe you just aren’t interested. Whatever the case, exchanging ideas with that person feels challenging, even if you are a natural communicator who manages to make conversation with anyone.
Since Venus is about beauty and one’s sense of self-worth, and Virgo is about correcting imperfections, Virgo Venus can often lead those who struggle with insecurities to resort to extreme practices to "fix" the body parts they don’t like. Virgo, being mutable, makes these natives prone to altering their appearances in order to fit an ideal.

in the colored moonlight waited so long to dive in, make waves in the blue, blue fire
+ a close ups/detail shots cause this came out nicer than expected and i put a lot of details in it despite not feeling finished with it necessarily. but my ipad is betraying me so i caved and am considering it complete for now. i'd love to make this animated once i upgrade my ipad; my current model wouldn't even let me finish this let alone animate it rip

i wanna post the timelapse too bc the start to finish goes CRAZY but i'll probably do that later whenever i inevitably reblog it again for more visibility

actually the dynamics between the teen core 4 in cobra kai is insane. what do you mean sam was both miguel and robby's first love and first heartbreak. what do you mean robby and sam are very much their fathers' children and legacies and that comes with a long, complicated history and expectations that no one else could understand. what do you mean tory is cobra kai's most steadfast student but daniel's first two students can't get her out of their head for multiple seasons. what do you mean miguel got the version of robby's dad that he never did. what do you mean robby paralyzed miguel and now they're going to have a shared sibling. what do you mean sam used to have nightmares about tory and now she rescues her in group brawls. what do you mean miguel cheated on tory with sam and tory was so upset that she started an all-out school brawl over it. what do you mean miguel continuously targeted robby's hurt shoulder in their first all valley and now steps in to defend him in fights. what do you mean robby left cobra kai and tory didn't come with him and tory broke her hand punching through stone when sensei kim tried to use him against her. what do you mean sam larusso is the one who actually brought tory into the fold and then they didn't talk to each other for months. what do you mean the four of them had the awkwardest double date ever that ended in them teaming up in a fight against a kid and robby's friend from juvie. what do you mean!!!!!!!

"How Viktors story overshadows the tragedy of Jayce" or "Why disliking Jayce means you don't understand him (yet)." Disclaimer: This is a long one. Since starting to post my (mostly) Jayvik thoughts, I've discovered layers to Jayces character that I feel don't get talked about enough. I disliked him in S1 - he grew on me in S2, but what makes him so compelling to me NOW is how the show replicates the central tragedy of his character with the viewers. Let's start with the assumptions the show encourages us to make about him: Good looking, smart, a little naive, selfish, overachiever, golden boy. These are then strengthened by comparisons to Viktor, caused by their shared screen time and narrative connection. And since V is the one being "framed" with the tragic story (escaping an inescapable death), the tragedy of Jayce, that is happening simultaneously (more on that later), gets obscured. Truth is: If Jayces life looks like success to us, that's mostly because he has to make it look like that. Let me explain: Jayce, as a boy, almost dies on his way to Piltover. As tragedy would have it, he gets saved by and falls in love with what's forbidden in his new home - magic. So he researches the thing he is basically destined to create in secret, only to get found out in the worst way possible. Cue the trial scene. I think the reason why we don't empathize with him enough here (especially not on the first watch) is because it happens so early in the show and we are still busy getting situated in the universe of Arcane. But if you look at it from Jayces perspective, it's pretty traumatizing: He is the heir of his house and having apparently lost his father early, responsibility rests heavy on his shoulders. A house, comparably low on wealth and influence. And you could say it's arrogance, that makes him blurt out "I was trying to create magic." but if you consider his behavior throughout the whole show, I'd actually call it impulsivity and not being able to hide his emotions (I hc Jayce as having ADHD). What we get next, is him wanting to throw himself off a building - which can get misread as "wow, this guy was so obsessed with his vanity project, he'd off himself", when his moms words at the trial ("My son is not well") point to him struggling with something for a while and this being the final straw. And I mean, just think about that - You have a character that starts off at rock bottom, but because we didn't see the journey of how he got there, we fail to empathize with him going forward. If you put yourself in Jayces shoes, would you not feel like you had to do everything it takes, to never get to that point again? Can you imagine the fear, having almost lost your future because a mistake you made escalated to the point where they wanted to exile you? Wouldn't you feel like becoming everyones "golden boy" to make good on that, is something you had to do? THAT'S what I mean, when I say the show replicates the central tragedy of his character with the viewers. We see his story (until a certain point) as the story of someone who wants to go up, up up, but miss, that from his pov, the alternative means going all the way down. I want to end this by giving an example, how Viktors presence plays into that: There is one time, where Jayce actually voices his feelings regarding this matter, when he says "I never asked for this!" And isn't that true in more ways than one (hint hint). But because Viktor is the one who died and is (understandably) upset in this scene, revived and changed against his will, it seems selfish, that Jayce would even bring that up. But is it? Or is he rightfully pointing out, how every single thing he did (and I will give examples in future posts), after Viktor essentially stopped HIM from dying (another amazing parallel) in the very beginning was trying to make the best out of the circumstances he was given? Circumstances, that, quite frankly, ANY character in that show would have severely struggled with?

Zim: I'm going to fix it.
Dib: Fix what.
Zim: The world. All of it. It's the only way to destroy it...better.
Dib: lmao I'd like to see you try. We've fucked up more things that you'd be able to repair.
Zim: BET.
Or: Zim pulls a Wreck it Ralph with the difference that he's scarily good at it

Tma AU where Jonah fucked up his ritual when transferring to Elias’ body and still exists but is like. On the backburner unable to control the body. Because he’s a loser. So OG Elias is able to hear everything he thinks but Jonah can’t do anything. And so he learns the evil plan to end the world and immediately decides nope that’s NOT happening.
And since James Wright appointed him as the next Head of the Institute he has full control over everything he destroys every single bit of Jonah’s carefully laid masterplan. And Jonah suffers seeing everything he’s build fall like a house of cards. At the end Elias just goes and kills Jonah — there were concerns that it may also kill him, but he was ready to sacrifice himself — and comes out alive and free from voyeristic georgian men.
Elias establishes something of a truce with Gertrude after explaining the situation and also perhaps maybe telling her that Jonah mentioned one of her assistants is of the Web and what does that mean? Also what are the rituals and why does Jonah keep saying they don’t work unless you— (Gertrude cuts him off before he says it out loud. Walls have ears. You never know who might be listening).
Michael doesn’t die. Neither does Gerry, because after he faints for the third time at the Institute — Elias doesn’t have spooky eldritch eye powers, but he has office gossip, and that’s basically the same thing — Elias personally goes down to the Archives and tells him to go to the fucking doctor dude. Gerry smokes weed with him after a few months and thanks him for potentially saving his life
By the time Gertrude dies, which is post Stranger ritual (not shot by him, but still probably not peacefully, knowing her) Sasha becomes the next Archivist, and her role in the overall world of the Fears — Elias is not an avatar, doesn’t want to be, but has some leftover traits from Jonah’s inhabitance in his body, and knows a lot — is explained before she signs any contract. Also you’re not tied for life, fuck that. There’s a mandatory Entities 101 for every employee, no matter what department they work in; the vast majority of them come here seeking answers for what really ruined their lives, none of them deserve to die because nobody tells them what they’re actually fighting against. Tim — very much alive — goes to the Archives with Sasha, Jon stays in reaserch and eventually becomes Head Researcher. Martin goes to college part time at some point. Life is good
