May turn this into a proper fic someday, but I continue to have Feelings about Dream affecting the weather in the Dreaming so I’ve decided that Hob (like me) feels like the subjects of the Dreaming don’t appreciate just how useful that is.

Hob falls asleep and finds it pouring rain in the Dreaming, and someone is like “oh yeah it’s super annoying it rains whenever Lord Morpheus is sad :/” and Hob is immediately like “has anyone checked on him?” and they’re like “wat” and Hob is just staring with blatant judgement like “it rains when he’s sad. It’s raining. You know he’s sad. Has anyone, like, gone to try to make him feel better? Or are we only focusing on the rain part?” and before the other person can respond Hob just starts ranting like “in the Waking when Dream is sad he’s just stoic and doesn’t say anything or he’ll snap at something and I’ll think he’s mad and I’ve got to go full Sherlock Holmes to try to figure out what the issue is and what I can do to help because God forbid he just tell me when I ask. And you’re telling me that in the Dreaming the weather just TELLS you?? Like the world’s most blatant and accurate mood ring? You don’t have to guess or try to wrestle it out of him, you just KNOW? And you don’t use that to your advantage to take care of him??? Skill issue.” And then he goes upstairs and gives Dream a nice quiet cuddle and they talk a bit and the rain clears in record time. Hob learns what every weather pattern or strange happening in the Dreaming corresponds to and is always ready to give Dream whatever he needs for what he’s feeling. 

Not because he doesn’t want it to rain. But because he doesn’t want Dream to be sad.

While searching for official Asterix concept art online, I stumbled on a few pencil tests that were made for the Vikings movie, and man... do I miss hand-drawn animation. 🥲💔 Nothing would make me happier than seeing a future Asterix film done traditionally like the old ones, it has such a special vibe and is so lovely to look at! ✨

One thing I will give to the new series though (and which was a bit lacking in the previous CG films by comparison imo) is that its use of color is absolutely phenomenal and really enhanced the dynamic energy and flow of the story. Ultimately, the best possible combo in my mind would be a blend of the two; something like the gorgeous and powerfully innovative movie 'Klaus' did. 🎇✏️

Habe letztens erneut Fluch des Geldes geschaut und auch wenn ich die Folge liebe können wir Mal über die ganzen Plotholes sprechen? Oder allgemein ein paar Dinge, die mir da aufgefallen sind.

Da wäre zum einen die Szene, in der Leo einfach fucking Heroin nimmt? So, mein lieber Kriminalhauptkommissar, das ist illegal, auch wenn du hier undercover unterwegs bist.

Wobei hier bei mir auch die Frage aufkam woher er so sicher Heroin am Geschmack erkennt? Was ist die Story dazu? Gibt's eine Vergangenheit oder ist das Teil der Ausbildung im Saarland?

Dann die Story mit Betty und dem Geld. So wie ich es (laut Google) verstanden habe muss man Bargeldbeträge ab 10.000€ bei Flügen innerhalb der EU beim Zoll anmelden, was hier sicherlich nicht getan wurde.

Diese ganz normale Tasche ging auf jeden Fall durch den Scan und das Geld wurde nicht bemerkt? Also selbst wenn ich mich nicht mit Mengen auskenne mussten die Leute dort doch sehen, dass das mehr als 10.000€ waren und dass Betty keine Genehmigung vom Zoll hatte? Wie kam sie also so easy in dieses Flugzeug?

Und dann der letzte Punkt: Die Flucht von Betty selbst. Sie haut mit dem gestohlenen Geld von Adam ab und fliegt von Saarbrücken aus. Adam und Leo wollten wahrscheinlich irgendwo gar nicht, dass Betty geschnappt wird, da sich so ihr Problem von zurückgeben oder nicht von selbst klärt.

Da frage ich mich nur wie Betty trotzdem einfach flüchten kann? Ich meine nicht nur Adam und Leo wissen, dass Betty in den ganzen Scheiß involviert war, da kann mir doch niemand sagen, dass die die einfach fliehen lassen? Also da hätten wir Esther, die zwar viel mitmacht, aber eine Verdächtige fliehen lassen? Kann ich mir bei ihr nicht vorstellen. Genauso irgendein Chef von denen. Da schaut sich doch safe irgendwer an, was in dem Fall passiert/ passiert ist und wundert sich dann, wieso diese Frau, die definitiv Dreck am Stecken hat einfach wegfliegen konnte.

Besonders weil alle Zielflughafen von Saarbrücken aus Auslieferungsabkommen mit Deutschland haben, was es also super einfach machen würde Betty in dem jeweiligen Land zu verhaften.

Okay, das musste mal raus.

Falls jemand weitere Gedanken zu der Folge (und den Potholes) hat gerne her damit.

What if the Antichrist was all the Papa's we met along the way? A distinction between “the” Antichrist and the “body of Antichrist” as a collective.

I mean the Papa's are all pretty anti christian (which is what the literal word means) and the 'body of antichrist' isn't new. And it's all them.

This idea that Papa is "the" Antichrist goes back to almost every Ghost album cycle. There is always someone saying that they think that THIS Papa is the "one" antichrist.

But is there really one? Theologists still argue over the "I" and "them"

The Antichrist biblically (if we believe in that shit) will bring forward the end of the world.

I don't think Ghost wants to bring the end of the world and I don't think Papa wants to fight in a battle royal match with Jesus

I think the band Ghost just wants to shed some light on the hypocrisy of religion and YOU are FREE to decide what is belief?

Hmmm... Staring at that DoDollsDream Miss Marionette pre-order. Staring and considering.

I honestly thought the last pre-order was going to get me. Loved the semi-transparent "perfume" resins. I was so disappointed when they were only available in certain combinations. I had big ideas for a watermelon-themed girl with Songbird Garden and Strawberry Perfume, or maybe a Fading Whisper and Lilac Perfume combo.

Now there's Black Cat & Ghostly Moon to contend with. I am nothing if not a sucker for fantasy colours and special resins. I still thought I might make it past unscathed after I saw the first teasers, since it looked like my favourite head sculpts weren't available, but then came the final options, and there's Charlotta.

In an ideal world, I'd get one in Black Cat and one in Ghostly Moon. I prefer Charlotta's eye shape, but love Lullaby Charlotta's elf ears. I could see getting Charlotta in the pale Ghostly Moon resin and Lullaby Charlotta in Black Cat. Then again, Lullaby Clementine has been growing on me, so maybe two elf girls instead?

Alas, the price. Oof. Not saying they're not worth it; I always expect artist dolls to be on the pricier end, particularly with EU artists. Just...oof. One alone would be a big enough hit, particularly with the upcharge for the special resin.

My bank account is crying and pleading for me to look away.

I am undecided.

Thinking about Dream/ the Endless and their shitty parents and it got me thinking about some absurd situation where Dream somehow gets turned into a literal child. He gets dropped on Hob's doorstep while other folks look for a solution, and Hob is over the goddamn moon to see tiny Dream, but he learns very quickly that tiny Dream is, in fact, a menace. But not for the reasons he would have suspected.

Dream is very much a neglected child. Hob constantly finds him climbing up dangerous surfaces to get something he wants because it doesn't even occur to him to ask Hob for help. He hoards anything he can get his tiny hands on because best case scenario he'll never be given anything ever again and worst case scenario it'll be taken away from him. He gets upset when Hob pays attention to him because he doesn't know what to DO, he knows how to take care of himself, he knows how to be ignored, he knows how to be scolded or punished, but Hob just sits with him and asks him questions or offers to play and Dream is so confused it makes his child emotions go haywire.

Hob is very sad, and loves Dream very much, so he spends a few days pouring all his love and care into this child, and then once he has adult Dream back he keeps doing it, because that little kid is still in there somewhere, and he needs all the hugs he can get and Hob is more than happy to give it to him.

Even though I've never drawn a Mareach piece directly related to it, I must say the "sick" concept is one that I've always been very fond of (in any fandom!), and I did gather a few notes about it for this pairing in particular.^^

What's especially interesting here is that Mario and Peach are from two very different worlds, with different foods and climates and medications, so to me it seems rather inevitable that either one of the two (or both) would eventually become slightly ill after being exposed to the other's homeland for a time; their immune system having not yet built proper resistence to its germs and bacteria.

In my AU, the bros never see Brooklyn again, so the most likely avenue would be for Mario to fall sick (developping a fever due to an infected injury, for example, or reacting badly to a certain substance however deemed benign for the Mushroom Kingdom citizens...) and Peach to be the one to look after him. 🤒❤️‍🩹

Depending on how severe the symptoms would be, the treatments would range from a simple spoon of health syrup to full medical assistance with lots of rest, and the Princess would scarcely leave his side until he's fully healed. She would use her magic to soothe the pain and help him relax, and Mario would later claim that it did more good for him than any medicine ever could have. 💗

I had also imagined a short scene where, while laying in bed in his groggiest state, Mario would smile at her tiredly and mumble half-coherently that she would have made a wonderful nurse, to which Peach would respond by reaching forward and boldly touching his face in a gentle caress. Though it wouldn't quite register, he would close his eyes with bliss regardless, sighing as sleep would finally overtake him. He wouldn't be sure whether he dreamed it or not upon waking up later, but he would feel incredibly invigorated regardless. 😊✨️

Pokémon Legends Z-A Expectations

I can't stop thinking about it, so I thought I'd share my thoughts

• Considering Legends Arceus delt with Sinnoh's myths and legends, including event pokemon if you have the proper game data, I feel like we'll see that again in this game.

• Due to there being a theory about carbink evolving into Diancie, our player character might be the one to witness it, or at the very least see Diancie amongst a group of carbink.

• I think replacing time-space distortions will be worm holes from Hoopa's rings, and there might be a quest where we have to bind Hoopa.

• Depending on how far back this takes place, we might encounter Volcanion in some ancient steam works where Magearna may also be encountered, making a reference to the movie, but that may be wishful thinking.

• Because we're building Lumiose City, there may be sub-quests tied to the main quest where you have to catch a certain amount of a specific pokemon to finish construction

Whelp, I have beaten Malenia with the help of my girl Black Knife Tiche. I don't feel too bad about using her - she's a weapon in my arsenal after all.

Onward to Mohgwyn, where I will proceed to fangirl the fuck out. (And probably cry again. I don't want to hurt Mohg but I want to play the DLC. I don't want to kill Varré but I want his weapon. Etc. etc. Do other people cry this much over Elden Ring or are y'all normal?)
