Gavintwt fell into a couple months of terrible discourse about Klavier’s sexuality. people argue about whether he's gay or just queerbaiting and then people argue about how this is invasive actually and real people can't queerbait and Klavier is just openly queer the whole time with a song literally titled "my boyfriend is the prosecution's witness". blissfully unaware.

There's a trend of Gavinner stans committing crimes or messing with crime scenes just to be prosecuted/called as a witness by Klavier. he has to put out a formal statement imploring his fans to pursue other methods of getting his attention:

A few years after the disbarment someone digs up an old viral post that's like

and gavinblr suddenly realizes that that was the dude Klavier got DISBARRED a couple years ago. viral sensation parrot cross-examiner Phoenix Wright. the fandom goes crazy for a few days but then Klavier does a new photoshoot and they all move on.

A post joking about shipping Klavier’s brother with the guy Klavier got disbarred becomes a huge meme in gavinblr and a subsection begins writing ironic Krisnix RPF that progressively becomes genuine and then turnabout trump happens and the fandom explodes again. Half the Krisnix shippers jump ship to Klapollo because they felt weird about shipping a murderer (and did you SEE the Kitaki case? Klavier was sooo flirting with the defense <3). The other half doubled down and reveled in the angst potential. Part of the Klapollo shippers started truthing. They study court transcripts to prove that Klavier and Apollo are in love if not already dating. Unfortunately they’re right.

OK so, Know Your Meme claims that the spread of Bouba and Kiki as a meme started in December 14th, 2020, right?

That, however, is not true. Bouba and Kiki had been discussed online before, I mean, obviously, given that it’s a linguistics experiment from the 1920s. For example, it was posted about on Reddit’s r/todayilearned as early as 13 years ago:

Which is a repost of a Tumblr thread on Instagram from 2021. You might recognize the handsome gentleman with the Iyami icon yapping without being invited to about a subject they sorta know about to @tilthat in the screenshot. That’s me.

Now, you won’t find this post on Tumblr itself because -and this is pretty ironic- @tilthat, a bot-ran blog that reposted threads from r/todayilearned on Reddit in Tumblr post form, eventually got banned for some unknown reason and, for some even more unknown reason, while you can still see some of their posts still around even with the OP having been deactivated, some of them have been completely nuked off Tumblr, this one being one of them. So I can’t check when exactly it was that I added my overenthusiastic reply to this post. But it got some traction with me in it. In fact, this is a repost of a repost. The OG repost was on r/Tumblr on Reddit:

And, hilariously enough, as you can see by the date, these reposts beat Tom Scott in shining a little spotlight over Bouba and Kiki by exactly one day. So he might have released the beast into the world, but I birthed it. Accidentally.

Lately I have been noticing that I could no longer find several tumblr posts I made in the past. I happened to have a local copy made with tumblr_backup.py, so I made a script to go through all post and see which are still online. It turns out that 19 of my 3572 posts had been deleted, and just show a "The URL you requested could not be found" message.

Tumbl silently deleted 0.5% of my blog! 😬

I'm guessing the issue is a new system, where if someone gets deleted for violating terms of service, then all reblogs of all their posts also get deleted. For example, all reblog chains where the root post was by @tilthat or @loving-not-heyting seem to be gone. I have been wondering about it for a while, and today I saw @as-if-and-only-if independently noted the same phenomenon.

(To be clear, none of these 19 deleted posts in themselves violated the terms of service in any way. And for that matter, loving-not-heyting didn't actually violate the ToS but was the target of some mass-reporting campaign.)

This seems way too extreme! In particular, this also deletes any additions to the reblogs that I made. I think I lost about 25 paragraphs of text this way, including one post I was quite pleased with and linked to in my "about" page. I submitted a ticket to tumblr support about this, so I guess we can see if they reply.

findin' this one proved to be a bit of a trouble, and i would soon find out why. see, i went down to the Search Bar to ask Google for this post, but no combinations of words were gettin' me where i wanted to be. eventually, i asked for "tumblr tilthat til nasa's plan to dispose of corpses" and got the post i was lookin' for. that's when i realized that everyone in the chain was deleted, just as my client had said. thankfully, i managed to recover this post from the dead and filed it away.

This is perfection! And yes, I can't decide! Is Luke the spy because he is agile and powerful and already technically a spy-ish character while Din is the critic traveling around with his child, living a nomad life but experiencing new sights and foods? Or is Luke the cheerful critic who no one really suspects because he is so personable and warm and seems to love milkshake and burger shacks over anything else vs. Din who is on a mission with a child (a la SpyXFamily) and has to stay in hiding to protect the asset and his cover?

Or. OR.

We as the readers don't even know until the end. What if one is a spy with a love of cooking/is a front? What if it's a food critic with who reads a lot "nonfiction spy documents"? Who is who??

Luke has a set of cooking knives in his car that are always sharp--are they weapons he can move from state/country/planet lines without question or does he enjoy recreating recipes he tried out at the restaurant he was critiquing?

Din has a radio in his car that always crackles with weird messages--are these codes on life an death and where he can hide out for his own safety to avoid assassins or is he trying to just find out if he and his child were noticeable at the two-going-on-three-star restaurant they just left behind?

Both fully believe the other is in their field and both are not about to break.
