I only interact in the TMNT fandom but "Gargoyles" is my favorite animated series of all time. (It's pretty much perfect as-is.)
So... this is interesting.

Because I keep getting AU ideas mixed up, here's the Gargoyles/TMNT idea I'm writing.
Warning: My own interaction
Hamato Yoshi and Oroku Saki are half brothers and are considered Yakuza, there father attempted to put them against each other but fails.
Soon Saki takes over and Yoshi goes into show business, the two help each other like clockwork.
Someone whispered disloyalty to Saki and he became paranoid it was Yoshi, soon made a deal with EPF to use a testal drug to teach him a lesson.
The younger Hamato was injured and his blood completed the mixture.
Yoshi and his three pet turtles were dosed in the stuff and quickly transformed.
Saki later found out it was his wife being disloyal and in his guilt, killed her. He lied and said Yoshi did it out of vengeance, which only piled more guilt.
Soon he became The Shredder and rebranded the clan from Hamato to Foot.
He does meet his brother and nephews before they're teens and tries to apologize, but soon realize that he will never be forgiven.
Saki goes down a dark path after this.
He gets his own turtle to mutate, and uses his own blood to do so.
Karai raised this turtle to be her sister and she loves her so much.
++++++++
Time skip and Rose and Karai go with their cousins and Splinter, April's mom and Casey's is dead to Shredder.
Donnie is oldest but head of family and Leo is Leader.
Then Casey and April then Mikey, they definitely welcome Karai and Rose with open arms.
Casey is a mix of 90s Jones and 87 Jones, April is Rise and 03, Karai is 07, 03 and Rise.
All the turtles are a mix of Rise, Bayverse and 03, minus Leo and Rose who have a little of 12 in them.
Karai is the same age as April and Rose is the youngest person.
Rose is a little too trusting and meets Lexington who was captured by Shredder.
They talk about their respective clans and burn the place down to destroy mutigen and leave as friends.

You know, I think a crossover between 03 TMNT and Disney’s Gargoyles would work better because of the general Vibes they both have, they’re very similar. That being said I would love to find out what the Manhattan Clan would think of Huginn and Muninn

ATSV - Prompt For a Spidey Universe
I wonder how a Spiderman universe with the Manhattan Clan from Gargoyles a/o the Turtles from TMNT would be?
I feel like they'd hang.

Playing with ideas of tmnt 2012 and remembering that Sal Comander has the same voice actor as Goliath, and thinking "...... Yes. They would get along"
After narrowly avoiding the offered hand misunderstanding, (probably someone who already knows of that part of the Salamandrians culture) Sal and Goliath watch Mona Lisa and the young trio (and maybe others i havent decided) Sal and Goliath talk and Goliath about trusting new people. Goliath mentioning how he had nearly sworn off trusting others again after being betrayed by those he thought he could trust. Sal hints his eye was taken by someone similarly. Bonding between tragedies.
Mona Lisa feeling like she is babysitting the trio who has less experience in battle but nevertheless have attributes she can respect.
Haven't decided if this is before or after they meet the turtles.

Sewer Neighbors: a Gargoyles x TMNT prompt
It has been over a decade since I watched either of these shows but a thought occurred to me.
In Gargoyles a group of humans (including Elisa’s brother) are turned into gargoyle-esque mutants (the Mutates) and made their home in the sewers of New York City.
Since the Turtles also live on the sewers of NYC, I wonder how these two groups would react to meeting their new neighbors.

Gah, I love Turtles of Grayskull!
I'm on record for rambling about how much I love MOTU origins, an action figure line that provides solid value, craftsmanship, and a sense of fun in an era where everything is increasingly none of those things.
And Turtles of Grayskull understands both its contributors spirits intimately in a way many nostalgia projects don't.
Because nostalgia remembers the cool very easily. But it rarely remembers the silly and the stupid-fun.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You buy a bus ticket to "Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" or "He-Man and the Masters of the Universe" and you have to know that route will be winding almost exclusively through Historical Crazytowne.
And the Turtles of Grayskull/MOTU Origins team gets this. This isn't some Batman/TMNT crossover where they give you a bunch of cool mutant Arkham Villains and deny you toys of them (but a Michaelangelo wearing the bat-cowl is worth a sculpt, eye-roll).
Recent-ish stuff to ramble about:
Tumblr media
Okay, not only is this just an awesome Hordak variant, he's conceptually blended with Lord Draxum. You've got the mutant bat-wings, to go with Hordak's vampire thing, but his shapeshifting weapon arm from the toon is very clearly a mutagen-blaster evoking the mutagen-mosquitos. You've got the shoulder pads evoking Draxum's little gargoyle boys. Fantastique!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I had wondered who Casey was taking inspiration from for awhile, but apparently the lore got revealed from his packaging, he's combined... with the WEAPON RACK/Pack.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Well, technically he raided it, but it's a clever option when it would have been easy to just put him in Man-at-Arms gear or give him a Man-E-Faces gimmick. Deep cuts are appreciated, as is that delightful amount of accessory swag.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Stealth Leo is just a cool Leonardo figure. He's the reason for my hypothesis that Mattel is low-key pitching to be the main TMNT figure company. April gets a sweet power up by being Combined with Zo-ar and the Sorceress, and the amount of new sculpting is impressive there. Nobody would have blinked if she'd been 90% Sorceress parts, so I appreciate it.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
He-Man goes stealth ninja after he's de-mutated. that's cool I guess, but He's probably going to wind up with a different head when I get him. Skeletor, however, is everything you want in a repaint guy. 90s neon? Check, kusari-gama with goat skulls? Check. Tube of mutagen? Check. He's obviously a premold for the 2005 Samurai Skeletor but who cares? He's green!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Splinter-Skull is mostly OG Playmates Splinter, down to the face design, but he's got just enough King Grayskull in him to keep him a fun hybrid. In fiction, this is is the spirit of Grayskull taking on a form to match both sets of heroes asking for his help. Fun!
Leatherhead, on the other hand, is just Mattel auditioning to make normal TMNT toys again. Toss some WWEternia legs with some pants on that guy and he's basically the best and most in-scale Leatherhead to not come out of NECA. I look forward to the use of that tail on many, many snakemen related characters to come.
And yet there's more!
I thought this was going to be a four-wave limited thing. But apparently they're just keeping the train rolling until the wheels fall off, to which I say...
Tumblr media
Wave 5 has been semi-revealed (no pics yet) and it's:
Variant Donatello, Variant Raphael, Mekaneck, and Rattlor!
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Donnie and Raph are going to be costume variants like Stealth Leo, though I'm hoping they're not also stealth versions, because there's tons of other options to pull from.
My druthers would be them with accessory pak themes (cliff climber Raph, Scuba-Attack Donnie (to nod at the wind-up swimming donnie toy), etc). The Dontatello #1 gauntlet could be a fun accessory, and I wouldn't say no to a "slime pit zombie" Raph, but we'll have to wait and see.
The real thing that has me hyped is Mekaneck and Rattlor. I love reptile-people, and the Snake-Men give me a lot of them, so I'm always glad to get more options.
Mekaneck is one of the dorkiest MOTU characters and is thus one of my favorites. He's immensely goofy, and his origin implies that Man-at-Arms decided to fix the guy's broken neck by chopping off his head and giving him an extendable robotic spine. He also has the advantage of just being somebody's dad.
His son is named Philip, by the way.
I can't imagine them not making Mekaneck a wildly mutated weirdo. They had to pack his origins figure in with the road ripper to make him appealing, so I'm pretty sure he's gonna be a mutant. Fingers crossed for a giraffe head. Bonus points if its some kinda blue eternian giraffe or something.
And Rattlor, man, I want him to be a full on character hybrid so bad. Options: Tokka (snappers do have long necks), Snakeweed, Rat King (King Ratsnake?), Hothead & Scaletail.

Fandom: tmnt, no particular continuity
Prompt: Came Back Wrong
Notes: This is a tgcf crossover, which is where it borrows the lore on ghosts from.
-
There have been reports of ghosts, terrible green creatures that perch like gargoyles on the roof of the house and terrify anyone using the outhouse. The cultivator listens to the words of the woman who lives here and the interjections of her children, who seem to see the creatures most often, and nods.
“You say they were scaled? Did they have shells?”
The children don’t know. Only that they had terrible white eyes that gleamed in the night.
The cultivator turns to the mother. “Did you have turtle soup lately?”
“Yes, a few weeks ago. My husband caught the turtles down by the lake,” she says, surprised.
“And these ghosts have appeared since then?”
“Yes… You think they are turtles?”
“It’s not unheard of, “ the cultivator answers, “for animals to resent being eaten. Did you keep any of the remains? The shells?”
“No, they were soft shelled. I threw the bones and shells onto the midden.”
“Then I shall dig them out.”
It is not what most people would call a pleasant task but the cultivator doesn’t mind. It reminds him of his youth, in a way, giving him a chance to reflect on how different his life is now. There was a time when meat stripped from the bones of yesterday’s chicken might have given him a good meal. Today he is after something else.
It is a pitiful collection, four shells with the leathery hide mostly rotten away to show the delicate spurs of bone sticking out of the central carapace, and a little pile of bones that are beyond sorting. Young turtles, he thinks, which explains the ghosts. The young can be passionate, even reptiles.
The cultivator holds his hand out over the bones and says a blessing before channeling spiritual power into a white hot flame. The children who had been giggling as he picked through the trash and blessed the remains of their meal stop to look at him in awe. However, they do not have the patience to wait the time it takes to reduce bones to ash.
By the time he is done night has fallen and, when he looks up, eight white eyes look back at him from the darkness.
“Welcome to this place. I would speak with you,” he tells them gently.
They move closer. In the moonlight he can see their shells, the three-fingered hands. After death human ghosts can take on partially animal forms and animal ghosts can take on partially human forms, but they must be powerful to have done this so quickly.
“You have changed a lot in a short time,” he says.
“You’re telling us,” one of them mutters.
Another makes an awkward bob with its head and the cultivator thinks, this one wants to be polite but does not know how. “Will you disperse us?” it asks.
“Do you want me to?” he asks.
They chorus “no”, holding onto one another. Perhaps they would be better off at peace, but he does not have it in him to destroy them by force.
“Then I will not. You seem to have been quite restrained. Other ghosts in your place have tried to eat the humans that ate them, the worst you’ve done is scare them.”
“We don’t really want to hurt anyone,” says the smallest turtle. “It was just funny to see them run.”
Fear and confusion seem to have formed them more than aggression, although there almost certainly is anger for them to be this powerful.
“If you’re not going to disperse us can we have our ashes?” the same turtle who asked if he would disperse them continues.
“Will you promise to leave this place?”
“But where will we go?” asks the turtle who hasn’t spoken yet. “Back to the lake?”
The lake was likely their whole world and the fishermen of the village certainly won’t welcome them there now. The cultivator considers. “Perhaps, after I give you your ashes, you could come with me?”
“With a human?” snaps one of them, and, ah, there’s the anger.
“Not quite,” the cultivator answers, and lets go of his form, returning to the scruffy brown rat that is his natural form. A long time ago a cultivator had made a beloved companion of him, carrying him on his shoulder and talking to him of the arts he studied. Since then the rat has studied on his own. “My human form is cultivated, as you see. Perhaps I could help you become accustomed to your new forms as well.”
He steps back to let them divide the ashes among them, mixed as they are, while they consider. For now he stays in this, less threatening, form.
When they are done the turtles turn to him. “We’ll come with you. But where will you take us?”
“Ghost City, I think. It is a rough place, but people will not fear you there.” Nor, he adds to himself, will you be tempted by revenge in a place with few humans. But they do not strike him as vengeful. Perhaps, in a place where they can be accepted, even a place with few morals, he can teach them to do some good.
