hi. I just read your entire comic in one go and I’ve gotta say I am in love with it. as a trans guy with hair that looks so much like Steve’s and who loves werewolves, I had to physically restrain myself from squealing out loud upon realizing he was trans, because I am currently living in a room with five other people in a small community in rural Alaska and didn’t want to explain to them the joys of seeing yourself in a character and then realizing “oh shit they’re trans like me”. I hope you are doing well, and may the gods of creativity and carpal tunnel bless you with much fruit in your artistic endeavors.

You guys. I've just got engaged yesterday.

First of all, wth.

Second of all, I have tumblr since I was 12. That is 2011. I have tuns of posts here in my lowest. When I was full of hate, depressed as hell, suicidal, self harming, recovering from an abusive relationship, recovering from sexual assault, hospitalized in a mental health institution. I've never thought I'd get here. To a point where I'm loved, completely and without question. I still question it out of habit. But like deep inside I KNOW that I'm loved. I really do. And their family is so welcoming and lovely, that I'm even having a chance to heal from my own family for a bit. All of it, it's just amazing and I never thought I'd get here. Never thought I'd look back at what I've endored and just say that it's okay. That I am allowed to be loved. That I'm allowed to heal. That I'm allowed to shine, and believe in myself. That I'm allowed to be happy.

Let this post be a reminder to myself in the hard times that will inevitably come. I'm loved. I'm safe. I'm allowed to feel bad. And I will overcome.

Thank you to all of you, stranger friends on the internet. Thanks for being here for me for so many years.
