domesticity at three in the morning

It still caught her off guard, sometimes, the flash of the ring in the light. Sure, she'd had expensive baubles before -- emerald cocktail rings, ruby and tiger-jade earrings, but they didn't mean as much as this one did. 

It was late at night -- nearing three am, but Talia couldn't sleep, and she knew Bruce would be back soon -- he'd been leaving the later shifts to Dick and Barbara, since Talia practically insisted he try and get a regular sleep schedule. 

The late hour found her in the kitchen, brewing the coffee she had brought over from Egypt, the one Bruce had grunted a liking for (it was hard to tell what tickled his fancy and what didn't). Just as she was pouring two cups and setting the carafe back, she heard the tell-tale drone of the elevator as it rose from the 'basement' to the first floor.

Bast, the Abyssinian cat she had raised from a kitten, was still skittish around Bruce, and took flight up the stairs before she was seen. Talia ticked a look up when Bruce's form cut the light from the living room, announcing his presence before his voice did.

"Beloved."

Oh my stars have I told you about how much I've stared at your blog and gone " I wish I could talk to them" but I didn't and I was like. All my friends love you I want to love you too! that's literally been all of my thoughts like crazy. You're freaking fab, I love your Bruce, I love your Bruce with Sel.... // I'm not going to lie. I mean I think it's more harmful in the long run to keep your mouth shut when someone really needs to hear something. I told them they came on a tad strong and they flipped out on me. That's a no no in my book and I don't care who you are. Mutual respect should always be a priority in gaming. And frankly it would do more damage than good not to be honest. 

btw... your bruce is amazing... I love watching his stuff.
