So apparently there’s 7 different kinds of dream sequences after the 1st or 2nd night in YKMET. It seems that every time someone is talking to MC, telling them how much they love them. Who’s your theory on who this is? Do you think these dreams are foreshadowing Lawrence or maybe it is Lawrence talking to MC from the river?

Originally I thought it was referencing Lawrence, but after thinking about it, I think it may be referencing demon Strade from TPOF.

When you have the so-called “blue dream” of the river, Lawrence tells you that you shouldn’t be here yet, and you’re pulled back to the physical world immediately. And his text is his signature color— blue.

However, all the other dreams are green. The text is green, which represents the person talking to you. Demon Strade has always been associated with that bright fire green.

Demon Strade is associated with some of the messages, with themes like surrendering yourself, letting go, accepting (pain, chaos, a version of yourself you’re trying to push away? That’s up for interpretation) but these are all things that remind me of his demon form in TPOF. Komodo and Dragon were trying to get you to open your mind and accept the torture, the pleasure, accept him.

And of course, there’s the quote to end every dream— I love you so much. That doesn’t sound like Lawrence to me.

I’m not sure it’s Strade’s demon talking to you directly, I really don’t think it is. I think it may be a version of yourself who’s accepted his truth, and is trying to convince you to do the same. Like an inner self, but separate. That’s why in one dream, you touch the being and see yourself.

Also, to further my point, in the ending where you love him too much: as you die, you finally ‘accept’ him and his ways (like the dreams were trying to get you to do)— and your health and sanity bars are replenished with green.
