The gates don't open when Vecna makes psychic contact with four kids, they only open when and where the kids die

The point of convergence of the gates is the place where Will was on the brink of death

And Vecna is in the UD, which is described as a place of decay and death

The Russians couldn't open gates in Russia. Energy and location are the keys, but even in Hawkins, with all the energy they used, that gate was barely open, and it closed the moment Joyce destroyed the Machine. So, it seems that psychic abilities create more stable gates

We can't completely trust the Nina flashbacks, since those memories are shown to Eleven by people who are hiding the truth (at some point we see different kids, and from the pics some of them posted, it seems that they filmed scenes with an entire different group of lab kids)

However, even if the memories are somehow altered, the gate in the RR also opens after a massacre (and the memory of a birth)

My point is: all the gates opened by people, were opened when someone died/was disintegrated

Except Mothergate. So, I wonder, is Mothergate an anomaly, or that gate too was actually opened because someone was dying? After all, the Demogorgon was eating an egg (birth and death again) and there was an egg near Castle Byers.

If that's true, maybe El made contact with Will, and the first gate opened because something bad was happening to him

So ive been making family trees for Stranger Things characters recently, since it gives me a good reason to use research names and stuff without actually writing anything, and i realized that i accidentally gave Steve and Robin brothers with the same name. And i just think its so funny, like theyre talking and Robins like "Yeah and then my brother, Richie said that-" "wait wait wait... whats his name?"
