He Used To Be so Bright, Then Life Stole It.

If you squint, you'll see something that alludes to the fic I'm writing. (Which finally has a name, it's: "Ring Around the Pine Tree." Might change it when I ended up posting it, but this is the name I like for now).

I thought of this idea late yesterday night whilst procrastinating writing said fic(still writing Chapter 2, smh(it's like 5k words so far compared to other chapters mere 1k combined)). And I kept thinking about a certain sentence I wrote, then I spiraled. Drew all the sketches the same night, did all the line art upon waking up, and then spent like 4-5 hours colouring and shading them all in ONE SITTING. Without moving from where I was sitting the whole time. I almost postponed the last one for tomorrow because I really wasn't feeling colouring Ford, but then the dark part of my brain was like "what it's just one more and then you're done the whole thing! Then you can do other stuff tomorrow without having one more unfinished drawing sitting around."

So I blacked out, and he was done. The frustrating part was saving all the pngs because I'm insane and did this all on one canva, meaning I kept forgetting to both turn on certain layers as well as turn others off. (I had to resave certain ones multiple times, it was a NIGHTMARE).

chuuya who has narcolepsy and has mostly figured out how to live with it, but still struggles. he has routines, backup plans, and enough stubbornness to push through most days—but the sudden sleep attacks, the cataplexy, the constant grogginess? that part never really stops being annoying. the brain fog is the worst; it makes him feel like a stranger in his own body, and it’s frustrating in a way that’s too close to how he feels after using corruption—tired, helpless, like something’s taken over his body and he has no say in it. dazai never treats it like a big deal, but if chuuya starts zoning out or if his knees buckle mid-laugh, dazai’s there. he’ll drag him over to a bench or toss his coat at him with a “don’t drool on it,” protect his head if he falls, stand watch when he collapses. he never makes a fuss, just hums to himself or scrolls through his phone nearby. and when chuuya wakes up, groggy and irritated and maybe a little embarrassed, dazai just shrugs and says, “you’re lucky i didn’t have a sharpie.”

my first warriors art in a hot while!!!! i decided to go with the book description for this drawing, both cause i think its cool and also cause i didnt have the time to make a whole design before drawing this. shes described as half tortie half pale ginger which im taking to mean as cream.

tbh im lovin voicekit so far i think shes super cool and im excited to see what the writers do with her. like imagine youve been dead since u were born, forced (i assume) to haunt your sister, unable to communicate or make connections with ANY other cat and then your sister goes and ignores you and calls you a nuisance just for wanting company id crash out too. also is where is voicekit?? like clearly shes not in starclan, but she died as a literal newborn so shes not in the dark forest either, is there a secret third plane thats not starclan/the dark forest or the plane of the living that shes trapped in? we've seen dead kits go to starclan, why isnt she there? is it because she wasnt named? secret other reason??? sorry for the wall of text im so excited

he survives the fall off the spider's nest and gives an impassioned speech to JOEL about not going out like his team, not on that tower, and says "not like mumbo, not like skizz" directly???

AND THEN

he doesn't die on that tower. he doesn't fall. he DOESN'T.

but he dies against Joel, final 2, from Joel making him fall off the tree

There's probably discrimination between fresh and saltwater merfolk, maybe between different depths of the sea too

I can imagine there's a rule of

If you blink and see a merfolk swimming towards you looking for a bite, that's a seafolk.

If you blink and you see a mer that wasn't there before, that's a freshwater folk.

If you blink and wake up in heaven, it was a swampfolk
