Happy #faderFriday everybody! Today’s faders are the rare Trident A-Range EQ faders. These A-Ranges came from one of the famous @cherokeestudios consoles, and have an amazing history! They are not the Cherokee built remakes, they are all original “TRIAD” (Trident Audio Developments) stamped circuit boards and the sweet and rare ZUTT 012a transformers. The sound is incredibly sweet, very Neve-Esque but with less of the “wooly” low mid associated with the 1073. The EQ is unlike anything I’ve ever used, super musical, open and full of beautiful and rich color! Love these on drum overheads, acoustic guitar, piano, electric guitar, strings, and vocals.
