SimSlice Beer Keg Update

Why should only we get to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the Sims? Nah, the Sims themselves should get to enjoy turning 20 too! :) And what better way than to revive this popular old object that lets our Sims' get drunk and perhaps make some stupid decisions! Bring on the party!

I have made three changes 1. The beer keg is now refillable, like my refillable fruit punch barrel, so that you don't have to keep going into buy mode to buy a new one every time it runs out

2. A much needed family check has been added to romance interactions. I enjoy mistakes, but that is not a type of mistake that I want in my game. Flirts and engagements can now only happen with non-related targets. 3. Because simslice was paranoid about people cloning their object, they intentionally made the object hard to read. I have gone over all the bhavs, renamed them by standard naming conventions. This doesn't functionally make any difference, but if anyone would like to further improve this object, they will have an easier time of it :)

For those unfamiliar with this object, it is essentially a clone of the game fruit bunch barrel, but that is more adult-minded and interprets the drink as alcoholic and makes your Sims act drunk. They may throw up, they may start fights, they may flirt or propose to a Sim, and various other social interactions. They drink, they act up :P

Functional Cigarettes Machine and Cigarette Mod Upgraded for The Sims 2

As requested I tried to solve some small problems in the PcSims Cigarette Mod:

1. Now you can put the cigarette boxes on counters and tables too and your sims won't put the cigarette box on the ground everytime after the use, but they will choose to put it on the nearest empty surface (probably the one you choose at first to put the box on). 2. I removed the sip coffee sound and add a custom exhaling sound (but if you want to remove it you can simply open the single cigarette and box/packs packages on simpe, go to the text lists, click on sound id table and replace the sound name with a "-"). 3. I added a steam/smoking effect. 4. I also made a second version where sims won't go sitting to smoke but they will remain standing (choose only one). 5. I merged together the three cigarette packs recolor from Slig. 6. When sims finish smoking, cigarette won't be transformed in a trash bag until the sim arrives to the nearest trash can to throw it away.

The new cigarette machine has it's own guid so you can choose to use it and also use Slig machines without any conflict. However the single cigarette and the packs/box have the same guid so you have to replace them (and they will work on the old machines too).

Machine is in the Electronics-Miscellaneous section, while Cigarette Box is in the Party section. I decided to reduce the prices too (20 for a box of 20 cigarettes and 5 for a single cigarette).

TS3 Functional Closet Mod

The idea for this mod started with my want to convert TS2 Apartment Life closet. I could have used the Supernatural wardrobe as a base, but I wanted the doors to have proper animations and the ability to function like real closet doors against the wall, similar to how doors work in the game. So, this mod was created! 😊

What is this mod?

This mod functions as a dresser but includes a new animation that allows the doors to slide open like an actual closet. When the closet opens and closes, the Sim plays an idle animation, and when changing clothes, they use the spin animation.

The mod includes two different types, depending on the closet:

Dresser Type – Offers the same interactions as the base game dresser. This type is best for closets without mirrors.

Mirror Type – Includes interactions from the vanity table in Supernatural and Showtime (Don’t worry, the mod is 100% base game compatible!).

Important! This mod does not add a closet object to the game by itself. It only provides the necessary functionality for closet objects to work properly!

The Closet Object:

As mentioned earlier, this mod was created because I wanted to convert TS2 closet. The conversion is included with the mod, and you're welcome to use it as a base for creating your own closets! 😊

The closet comes in three different versions:

Opaque

Mirror – This version is split into two parts: the closet and a separate mirror for the animated door. To use it properly, simply place the mirror on the closet—it will slot into place and move with the door 😊

Glass

Both merged and unmerged versions are included—please install only one! (The merged file does not include the mod itself.)

How to Install?

Place the mod and the closet objects in your Mods/Packages folder.

Choose the version you'd like to clone as your base and ensure the OBJK is set correctly in S3PE for the closet type you want.

Age & Pet option for Teleporters

Have you ever spent forever and a half flipping through teleport categories to find that one specific townie teen you want for some reason? Rachums at @kashmiresims has, @chocolatecitysim has, and so have I! Sometimes when you are a story-driven player, you just need to port in some kids or teens and the teleporters with their family-oriented menus are not helpful. It's high time these beloved modding objects get an update to better fit the needs of those of us that use them! :)

Three teleporter options have been modified to provide age-filtered selections. Inge's Teleporter Cat, Paladin's Visual Teleporter, and Twojeffs Simblender. UPDATE July 2024: I have now added pet options as well, and a YA category, as further use suggested those too would be useful to have :) Menus have also been tidied up to be less cluttered and hopefully easier to use. Only the cat and the blender have been altered. UPDATE Feb 2025: Elder category now added to simblender and teleporter cat.

Have fun playing kids pool parties, staging school photos, and finding your Sims new friends in their age group to socialize with on a Sunday! WARNING: Some of these options will show game characters that I do not recommend touching. If I were to force myself to go and code fail-safes and test all of those, this would never get posted. So I'm leaving it to you to be responsible with who you teleport in and what you do with them. If you are unsure, check the WIKI list of NPCs that are safe to touch. I do not believe simply teleporting in a character is going to cause harm, so if you hit something by mistake just delete them off lot (moveobjects on, pick up, delete).

After making my own UI override, I've been itching to look back in time and try to recreate The Sims 2 UI in TS4, and here it is!

I tried to capture the look & feel as best as possible, so I hope you can enjoy this mod and reminisce a bit c:

TS2 Death Mods

There are some lists like this out there, but none were quite what I had in mind, which was mods that make sims more of a danger to each other, rather than a more dangerous environment or being a danger to themselves.

Kill Visiting Playables - Playable sims can die as visitors to another household

Disease Mod - Recovery points (how fast a sim recovers from disease) are easier for sims to lose and more challenging to accumulate; The "Advanced" version of the mod enables the gain/loss of recovery points and disease markers (left on the tile where a sim expressed a symptom that can infect other sims) to also happen on community lots, instead of only the sim's home lot

Frequent Disease Processing - Severity of disease changes every single cycle (~1 hour) instead of every six cycles (~9 hours)

Deadly Zombies - New zombie interaction "Eat" where if they win the fight, the other sim dies and their hunger is filled

Deadly Werewolves - New werewolf interaction "Ravage" where if they win the fight, the other sim dies and their hunger is filled

Deadly Neck Bite - New vampire interaction "Deadly Neck Bite" where the other sim dies after being bitten and their hunger is filled

Thunderbolt - Either the original PandoraSims version (in the "spells_full" zip folder) or the version edited by MidgeTheTree (requires Midge's main "witchspellsmod" file); New evil witch spell "Thunderbolt" that kills the targeted sim with a lightning strike

NOTE: You have to edit the ingredients BCON in the mod package via SimPE to adjust the amount of required reagents for casting the spell, otherwise the spell needs 12 Viper Essence, 12 Eye of Newt, 12 Dragon Scales, and 12 Mystic Dust

Crate of Throwing Axes - Exactly what it sounds like; Choose a target sim, and they get an axe in the head (and death). Buyable object under Misc. > Misc.

Pest Control by Twinsimming 🐞

Sims with dirty homes now run the risk of roaches spawning around their lot, similar to The Sims 2.

This is a script mod that can be placed in your Packages folder. It was built and tested on 1.69 but should work fine on 1.67.

Roaches

Once a day the number of dirty objects on your sim's home lot will be counted, and if the Dirty Threshold is met or exceeded, roaches have a chance of spawning.

There are three thresholds: Dirty, Filthy, and Vile. The dirtier the lot is, the more likely roaches are to spawn and in greater numbers.

Dirty Threshold = 5 dirty objects, 10% spawn chance (2 to 4 roach spawners)

Filthy Threshold = 10 dirty objects, 20% spawn chance (4 to 6 roach spawners)

Vile Threshold = 15 dirty objects, 30% spawn chance (6 to 8 roach spawners)

All sims in the active household will get the new Vermin custom moodlet that lasts 12 hours and subtracts -15, -20, or -25 points from your sim's mood depending on the threshold the lot meets.

Roaches spawning also carries a 10% chance of a sim getting sick (like TS2).

Vermin: Given when roaches spawn on a sim’s home lot, lasts 12 hours, -15. -20, or -25 mood (inspired by TS2 memory)

Tuning

All of the tunable values can be found on the mod download page under the header “Tuning”.

Conflicts & Known Issues

Depending on the terrain paint, roaches may be harder to see. To find any roach spawners you may have missed:

Enter build/buy mode.

Enable buydebug cheat.

Look for any white boxes on your lot. Those are the roach spawners.

Enter live mode.

Stomp on the roaches.

Success!

This is a new script mod so there shouldn’t be any conflicts.

TSM-to-TS2: Medieval Traits (Completers)

Published: 1-9-2025 (via Discord) | Updated: 2-3-2025 SUMMARY Here are 32 traits (inventory objects – “tokens”) taken from Sims Medieval (EA/Maxis/Sims Studio, 2011). They use their original icons and descriptions. There are over 60 traits in the game originally, but many have already been made/converted by Cedanyblee (2020), Laura & Mortia (2020A, 2020B, 2020C), Sun & Moon Star Factory (2021-2022; 2023), Fire Flower (2021), and others. Custom historical-fantasy traits are included in the new collection file for convenience. This set only includes traits which have NOT been made already. If you use the Medieval Caste traits by Cedanyblee (2020), you’ll see some of the same icons used. Note that CC caste traits have a BLUE background and these medieval traits have a brownish background. Traits from Sun & Moon have a darker brown background. The collection file is REQUIRED to access completer traits in-game.
