21. Drink of choice (not just alcoholic)

Straight black coffee, if it's not burnt. He likes medium-dark roasts. He learned what a black eye is several years back and now enjoys ordering those a) when he's trying to impress someone b) when he really really needs the extra caffeine. The amount of times these two things overlap is statistically significant.

He'll drink pretty much anything you put in front of him, but I think all of his favorite cocktails are vodka-based.

41. If they could have lunch with anyone in the world (living or dead, from any fictional universe or the real world), who would it be?

Kneejerk response is Jan or Harrison Ford. At this exact moment he also really wants to pick Agent Rosenberg's brain about a couple things.

For real for real… If he actually thought about it, I think he'd pick one of his grandfathers. His parents had him pretty late, and his family was very nuclear — I don't think he ever got to meet either of them, but he's seen enough photos and military medals at least in his dad's side to be curious.

Is your OC easy to love? If not, then what are the barriers?

Chuu doesn't find herself easy to love- she's inclined to long naps on the beach, she picks arguments with one guy in particular Whenever Possible, even if it's the wrong time for that, she doesn't like being Outdone or Bested at something she fancies herself an expert in, so working with her can be a challenge on its own, she doesn't often want sex, which, shouldn't be a 'hard to love' selling point, but it is to her-

It takes her a while to warm up to people in general when there's not a project between them, and she's stubborn and plants her feet on an argument until a week later when she's talked herself around on it using the other persons points (something she's working on, admittedly, sometimes she's just wrong.)

She gets absorbed into projects and forgets to keep in touch, but when a friend/Talia is physically there she'll drape herself all over them to work on something, cos while she's not touch adverse she doesn't think to seek it out on her own

She does think she's the luckiest Viera in the world to be with Talia tho uvu

future: What's the worst possible future for your OC? Are they taking steps to avoid that outcome? Are they even aware it's a possibility?

CORRUPTION ARC ORI!!! it's actually one of the things I've thought a lot about. He would never fall back into the cult, but based on his past, his worst future is one that involves a lot of violence. He's deliberately trying to avoid violence because of where it left him: alone and in danger. One of his worst futures involves him becoming a Paladin again. Another involves him becoming an assassin through eliminating the Veiled Heritance. It's a lonely future, the people who love him do so because of his ability to see the best in things... and he knows he stands to lose it if he turns to vengeance instead of peace within himself. He especially despises the organized religion that's his front for what it does to dissidence, but he's trying to make it better: another bad future would have him returning to those beliefs of hierarchy.

hate: What does your OC hate? Why? How do they act towards the object of their hatred?

Ori hates Altmeri Supremacists and the belief in it itself. He hates pain and suffering and refuses to cause it ever again. When someone is causing pain he can get quite angry! He's dropped people for even suggesting supremacy or that certain people deserve pain o.o

11. has an F/O inspired you to pick up a new hobby/interest/habit this year?

i'd say "gray inspired me to pick otome games back up so i could read spade alice (the new one he's in)" but that feels like cheating LOL. i also technically did my first gunpla shortly before ren Appeared to me... so while i've gotten MORE into it thanks to ren (and the thought of us doing them together), i also don't really count that. ren did get me hardcore back into art tho... like he's my oc so if i'm not making shit for him NOBODY is kjNKJSDFNKJNF. and he's making me focus a bit more on clothes than i normally would in my art AND irl (i want to look soooo cute for him~). and even though i haven't started YET, i do EVENTUALLY want to do mycology research for funsies. i know Enough about my own mycotoxin ailments, but anything beyond that is just like. what mushrooms used to grow outside my family's previous house and how RANCID they smelled lmao. i feel like learning more would get me closer to him, and i can see it as him infodumping to me! like that one post about leaf-cutter ants and fungus farms was WILD... i want to learn more shit like that!!!!

14. did you find out anything new and surprising about yourself through selfshipping this year?

honestly, i think ren has helped me explore so many parts of myself that i don't know how to list it all. dude's like... 10% stuff from the original dream, 30% original stuff, 60% stuff taken directly or remixed from my life. ;;;; the 30-40% that isn't me is KEY and clearly makes him very different and his own person, but also... love to dump traumas on OCs to work through them~~~ (as a Kinda Funny Thing, i think i hyperfixated on Just Some Guy ren as much as i did Villain Doc ren.... i think i've gone from "nobody will be as interesting as a cool fictional character" to "just give me a cute retail worker who's real niceys to me, i want to give it a try" OKJSNFKJN) i've also found out i have the capacity for WAAAAAY MORE social interaction than i thought possible. i've been isolated since 2016, becoming progressively more socially anxious, and one of my 2023 goals was just to go from "regular chatter in one twitch stream" to "regular chatter in multiple twitch streams", which would have been a huge change in itself... and yet here i am just chatting it up w people daily!!!!! it's nuts!!!! i still obvs have bad days... plus i still can't really do one-on-one dms or chat apps like discord kJNDKJFNSKDJFN i'm gonna need Actual For Real Therapy to be comfy doing that again KJSNKFJNKJDFNS... but i've met so many fucking cool people since making this blog, and i love chatting in tags and replies and asks like these!! i even made the first "move" in multiple cases! it's a small thing... but to me, it's huge. and it's improved my mood SO much (sans this month yeehaw but that isn't selfshipping's fault lol). all this to say HIEEEEEE if you're reading this you're rad af and ilu hehehe

OOOOH YES YES YES!! either you probably sent it to harri afieldinengland or it got eaten by my ask box, because i don't remember recieving anything of the sort, but i agree!! although i definitely lean more towards him being the embodiment of the sun god, nuada. christopher lee himself actually talked about the imagery with his WIG of all things, which is at it's strongest during the final sacrifice when the wind blows his hair into wild rays, shooting out from his head like those from the sun.

even beyond just that, i totally think there were believed to be several gods in human form on summerisle. i mean, in lord summerisle's first scene, he directly calls willow 'the goddess of love in human form.' why would that be limited to just her? also, sidenote, i'm like, 99% sure that it was harri who brought up the idea that miss rose would be avellenau, which i LOVE.

especially with his role as the all powerful community leader, with him at the center, the people of his island revolving perfectly around him. he is warmth, he is burning passion, he is blazing heat and the center of it all and is also the worst and he sucks so bad and i want to hit him with a metal pipe.

once upon a time i wrote a one-shot doomyatta au where zenyatta moons as a superhero (uses the carbon fiber skin) and in his normal life is a yoga teacher, meanwhile akande is like. a big name rich guy mayor-adjacent who secretly is the mastermind enemy of the heroes, doomfist

the au was a pwp where akande services hero!zen after he was 'saved' by him (staged situation to approach the hero)

and i had planned once upon a time to make this a short series of little snippets

so this one was 'akande signs up for a yoga class' and neither knows the other's secret identity but they end up in a situation where akande gets intrigued by zen's strength and zen is still unable to NOT think about how akande kneeled for his hero persona and is a bit of a mess

so i can write more smut also dkjfhksjh

i wrote like 4k for this one but i got stuck at a bit and recently ive been trying to edit and work on it uwu

3. How would they fare in a zombie apocalypse?

I think they would do better than one would expect. Kara’s kind of crazy and a little reckless and Chely’s sensible enough to know how to react in emergencies. Kara would def get seriously injured doing smth dumb and Chely would be able to treat the injury while also somehow keeping away zombies. Overall the ultimate duo and they’d probably go down fighting together

22. Are they a dog person or a cat person or something else?

Chely’s a dog persona and Kara’s a cat person. I think they could both settle for something like a snake.

27. What’s their favorite genre of music?

Ooh ok I’ve been working on playlists for them! Chely likes lowkey, chill stuff and Kara likes stuff with a lot of energy. I think Chely’s favorite artist would be Kate Kirby.
