TRUE AND CANON!! you know us so well. it's always "let's spar for the sake of old times" and then it just involves teasing and insulting eachother in a flirty manner instead of like. actually focusing on technique, what to improve, what to take away from the training, etc. they did not in fact brush up on their skills during it. like yeah sometimes they take it seriously, but i think they're both good enough fighters/they actually fight on missions enough to not really need constant training so it just ends up being..whatever this is!

I think Barnaby would have a bit of a superiority complex around Sally or even silently judge her. He feels like he's a better person for not letting his narcissism make him openly jealous or bitter or mean like she does. Like he's doing NPD correctly. He cringes a bit at her when she doesn't hide that she's insecure and acts out and argues with people in response to those feelings. He's not any better than her though he just struggles with different things than her. He might have healthier interpersonal relationships with others and gets along with people, but he struggles too. It's just not as visable. He's insecure about being openly vulnerable and upset, so of course he's gonna feel annoyed when she's vulnerable and upset around people.

You know,

Yeah I feel like they both have their own way of coping with NPD.

That are both unhealthy but healthy at the same time.

Like how barnaby doesn't show it and puts effort into taking care of the ones he loves but he bottles up his feelings and he tends to be rude about it. But he does care how people perceive him as a good person.

Sally is more expressive and doesn't care if people think that she's a good person, she wants others to know that she's better than them. But she doesn't let her feelings bottle up and she isn't afraid to show or express the bad parts of herself.

I feel like they kinda foil each other in that sense.

Prompt: Eddie is away at war and buck has Chris. hen Chim and Bobby are all kinda pushing buck to tell them about his life (they’ve only known him for about 6 or 7 months) because buck has been down due to Eddie having not contacted lately . They also want to know why he can never go out after a shift, or if he can why doesn’t he stay out that late.

And then he completely flips (like yelling and screaming) out on them one time and yell about how his husband is at war and that he has had to raise Chris almost by himself, and somewhere in all the yelling he brings up he met him in was as a SEAL and that he just misses his husband. but little did he know Eddie was right down stairs

eddie yells you don’t have to miss him anymore and buck freaks out (and then like all the other Eddie comes him fics)

also slightly annoyed at myself because the main part of this prompt that had me itching to get to my laptop all day after i rediscovered it was the part of eddie yelling.... and i ended up getting to that part only to realise him yelling wouldn't make much sense anymore 😭 so it i end up writing another similar fic but just with this part instead don't be surprised!

do you think any of the other mentors stood up for sejanus when other people would talk about him? i’d like to say yes, but i have my doubts about even the good hearted ones defending him in private conversations

unfortunately I feel the same as you...

the thing to me is that school is an environment with a lot of social pressure from many sides, and in this case, it's a very small social circle from the elite that I definitely think would make even the good hearted ones not really willing to defend him, either by fear of being othered by their friends or facing similar bullying, even if they don't really agree with what's being said or if they questioned if this was right or not. the fact that sejanus considered coriolanus' indifference to be "kindness" says a lot to me abt how he was treated and what he expected from others, so I really don't think any of the mentors ever stood up for him :/

(tho imo, I think lyssie, clemensia, io jasper and persephone were the ones that were the most indifferent to him, in the sense of not saying anything)

thinking about dispatch joining in the lafd lapd games like to add variety sometimes and buck and eddie competing against each other during eddie's dispatch era bc normally when they play as the 118 team they're a dynamic pitcher catcher duo (since they're in each other's pockets) and buck's got feelings about eddie leaving (he accidentally hits eddie with at least one pitch in the first game they play) the real question here is is the dispatch team good or awful

Oooohhhh yeeeesss!!!

This is the first time dispatch is going against the 118 and Eddie is a part of them now so not only is it a big deal bc they're going up against the undefeated champions but Eddie and Buck are going against each other. And not only the 118 are holding their breath but also dispatch bc they have to hear about Buck and Eddie from Maddie bc Maddie has to hear about them straight from not only Buck but Chimney as well.

Dispatch thinks they're not that good and just gonna have fun, but with Eddie on their team who has so much history with playing the game, he trains them a bit and helps showcase their strengths. So when game day comes they're actually pretty good and giving the 118 a run for the money. Linda is a great batter and first baseman while Maddie and Josh are a great pitcher and catcher duo.

When it comes to Buck and Eddie, though, they all notice the tension that is slowly getting bigger and bigger throughout the game until it all comes ahead at the bottom of the 9th where Eddie (who has had three home runs) is at bat and if he scores, his team will win. They're eyeing each other intensely and Buck fakes throwing the ball multiple times but then when he does throw it, Eddie hits it and gets a home run, making dispatch win.

Not only are dispatch ecstatic but the 118 are happy for them as well. Buck, with adrenaline still pumping in his veins and being in a daze of seeing Eddie all happy with everyone, walks up to him, bumping against people, and without thinking plants a big kiss on Eddie.

Everyone cheers even louder.

The first half was EVERYTHING! I had chills the whole time! Moon's and Eclipse's dynamic completely switched on its head, suddenly turning Moon into the "lap dog". Moon's begging, Eclipse's laughter, the panic as Moon ran to his twin, maniac cackling in the background as he screams-

And don't even get me started on Ruin! I can definitely see, why people would be upset, but I personally really like the direction they are going with him!

He seemed genuinely remorseful, yet remains firmly in the believe that whatever his plan is, it's for the better, no matter the consequences! It's just genuinely interesting, I love myself some morally grey characters!

Even though I prefer Barnaby and Wally as platonic life partners this was really sweet to read!!!! Ironically it got me thinking about my Where's Wally AU the way the story mentions how inseperable they are lol. I LOVE that Wally isn't pressured to kiss Barnaby, I enjoyed that twist. Communicating boundaries is such an underrated love language to be explored in fanfiction honestly.

I should really explore what's going on with Wally's side or things before people assume he's dead 😅 from a certain point of view he's TECHNICALLY dead to the Welcome Home dimension but is still alive, he's just not in their realm.

I should really make headcannons about Wally and Barnaby's first kiss because my approach to how they show affection is definitely different lol

Ariana: a super Normal average girl with Normal Average hobbies—> she likes listening to music and she sews rlly well! She actually wanted to go to school for Fashion Design but well. Whomp whomp … I figure she would also looove 2 cook

Elijah: well he’s my Ultimate Rollerskater so that one’s on the list! He can also rollerblade and ice skate and likes to do those too. He also likes to embroider and to garden. He likes to bake too!!

Gillian: Giju my ultimate fashion diva that I derived one of my names from is dramatic and likes Many Things. He’s my Ultimate Ventriloquist so puppets are His Thing and he makes them all himself, sewing, gluing, wiring, rooting (hair), etc. etc.

He also canonically loooves poetry and will Recite Some Shit for you (in the rp he was straight up soliloquizing shhdnsjs). He also is canonically into tarot and as he gets older gets even more in depth into it

He also is a True Crime girly (unfortunate) and he makes a lot of his own clothes! Ohh and he knits!

Okay, I’m so confused how people thought your posts were condescending. I just went through the ones from the past few days and ur literally so positive? People really just can’t handle other ppl not liking thier favorite dictator and refusing to see him as some sort of traumatized little baby who just needed to be loved correctly. I think people forget that we’re talking about Coriolanus Snow??? Why is it an unpopular opinion to dislike Coriolanus Snow? Like if you like him that’s fine (I think he’s an interesting character) but like… others can dislike him without his fans being hostile about it.

ngl I got confused bc ofc ppl can think what they want abt me or my posts, but not only I post very little, but most of the time it's such silly stuff 😭 and literal, I genuinely avoid talking about him because I know people can get really defensive (plus I prefer focusing more on stuff I enjoy and like), and even when I do talk about him, I avoid tagging and intend to delete later yk? so like you said, it's so weird thst it came to the point it's an unpopular opinion to dislike him. and I do get he's complex. I do think he's interesting. I do think he's layered. but none of this makes me think he sucks less, and I don't think this makes any negative opinion about him any less valid.

and even if people like baby-girlifying him, and even if they disagree with my stuff, it's not that hard to just block me and follow their life. I've seen plenty of stuff I didn't like about sejanus and did that: blocked and followed my life.
