Make a card that uses a new kind of utility noncreature token

Your token does not have to be an artifact; if there's a strong flavor reason to make it, say, an enchantment, make it that. Just not a creature. (Or something creature adjacent, like a vehicle). Your token also doesn't have to sacrifice itself- powerstones are an example of ones that don't- but they do need to not get out of hand in multiples and sacrificing themselves are one of the cleanest ways to keep these things in check.

Only additional caveat here is that these tokens are rarely used only on one or two cards (though it has happened with Shards, but we're ignoring that here). If you're making a token, it should be something that's able to go on lots of different cards in the same environment. Think commons.

I really truly don't like how a lot Double Life fanon exclusively utilizes BigB (and his relationship with grian) for just, like, Scar and Desert Duo angst.

Tired of BigB being "The guy Grian 'used' when he was mad at Scar".

Like first of all I feel like that's a disservice to BigB and Grian's dynamic, because Grian likes BigB, he liked BigB before Scar was his soulmate, hell, he liked BigB before Double Life even existed. Grian and BigB are cute and mesh well together and like each other lots. And while it's totally fine if they're not your cup of tea, but there's so much there between them, and there has been forever, that the "Oh Grian is using BigB because BigB's there and Grian was just looking for someone who isn't Scar" angle rubs me the wrong way.

And secondly, I feel like it's a disservice to BigB's character on a broader scale. Obviously if you're making Scar or even Desert Duo centered content and Secret Soulmates is a background thing, you can't be expected to make BigB the central focus, but I'm just a bit tired of seeing BigB brought up as an angst plot point in Desert Duo discussions with not even a small token amount of effort into characterizing BigB's actual personality, motivations, or, again, very long standing relationship with Grian.

And maybe this wouldn't bother me so much if people paid BigB more attention generally, but I feel like I've seen almost more of BigB in Desert Duo centric discussions where he's basically used as a carboard cutout plot device that's not actually representative of him than I have of actual BigB centric stuff or even just stuff that makes some effort to treat him as a character in his own right. I can't expect everyone who talks about Desert Duo and brings up BigB to watch all his pov's (i admittedly haven't finished all of his pov's either yet and have been holding off a bit on posts just analyzing him because i like to wait for all the context before i really deep dive into characters, though i'm working on it) or be that interested in his character, but I just feel like a lot of fanon does BigB a disservice by not even considering his perspective on anything.

+2/+0 and equip 2 feels like a great spot for equipment tokens to be in, and this is a simple design that shows off their potential. It’s a good creature that leaves an equipment behind on death. My only real critique is the name- Dagger feels a little flavor specific, in a way that’s gonna limit what kinds of designs you can make with this. Im not sure what the best word would be though- maybe just Blade or Weapon?

I like this quite a bit! I was skeptical at first, but I think I’ve come around. This kind of implies a planechase draft environment, which is absolutely fascinating and I want to play. And I think these tokens are a good way to go about it; you want to make rolling the planar die easier cause it’s the central mechanic of planechase, but you don’t want it to be *free* so tying it to a limited resource like tokens works well. And these are definitely flexible; in a planechase environment, you can tack them onto basically any kind of design.
