My first major animation project and MAP parts! Part 2 and 3 of the OC MAP Saathi Re, with help from PixylMawthz.

The theme was grief and symbolic/stylistic animation. I did OC moving between worlds and their utter lack of connections despite it.

Helped Vini with 2 panel backgrounds on Part 30 of Saathi Re. The water was a fun challenge.

4) Favorite character you've drawn

Fandom wise, I actually really liked how Winnie from Hocus Pocus turned out! Felt like I was channeling my inner Sanderson Sister—minus the soul-sucking, of course.

My own? I think it's between the mushroom professor I submitted for the RPRepository mascot contest or these two wooden-masked fantasy NPC-looking guys.

20) What do you think you've improved on the most over the past year

This year definitely lighting and composition! I feel like I kinda fell back in anatomy though :'D

25) Best advice you've received this year or something new you learned about art

Do not be afraid to incorporate textures in your art (as long as you're doing so legally), but the biggest thing? 3D HELPS SO MUCH. You don't even really need to learn 3D from scratch; just build the background (especially interiors) on web sketchup (or even the Sims if you must, sketchup is basically like sims). When I couldn't find the closest equivalent to the item I had in mind, I built it myself.

...BUT ALSO PLEASE LEARN SOME BASIC 3D. IT SAVES SO MUCH TIME AND SUFFERING.

@vanadric requested my favourite muppet, so here is Cantus the Minstrel!

I actually haven’t watched a lot of Fraggle Rock, and Cantus himself isn’t in a lot of episodes. But each time he’s there he leaves quite an impression, and it’s a very comforting one! We used to have the winter special on tape so he’s a super nostalgic character to me.

This is Cory Bayberry! She is part of the Judge’s Investigators from a 5e DnD campaign run by @thekyuusanna​, with me, @vanadric​ , @phoenixpinksocks​ and @chartreuseeffigy​ as the players so far! I drew this as a reference for Art fight 2022. I am fairly sure I’ve posted the animation before though!

Cora "Cory" Bayberry, my stout halfling fighter. She's the muscle of the group called the Judge's Investigators who are essentially fantasy CSI (but they are more like fantasy Darkwing Duck.... we're literally nicknamed "Those Fools"—). Her entire existence is essentially to fight and break things. Cannot remember when she got the chef hat, but she has it now. Is absolutely the type of person who when asked to disarm will spend entirely too much time pulling out a ridiculous amount of weapons. Also much to her teammates' annoyance she has a bagpipe, somewhere. She may not be the brains of the bunch and he solution to things tends to be "F I G H T" but she does like making friends with new people and loves her teammates very much.
