'Virt-Ed-Go' Early Storyboard Roughs
Thanks to Scott "Diggs" Underwood for sharing these in this interview he did for Concept Art Empire!
I didn't see much explanation from these, but judging by the poses and dialogue, this is an early storyboard of the scenes from 'Virt-Ed-Go' when the Eds are walking down the street before spotting the tree they build Club Ed in. Eddy, for no apparent reason, is sweaty and stinky and leaving puddles.

In the aired episode, they actually walk from the opposite direction, with Eddy leading:

This page says "the tree" in the top left corner, has a scribbled out drawing of Eddy squishing Edd and Ed against his face, then several chin rubbing Edds and Eddys saying "where??..." and "Hmmm.." while Ed shows them where to find... what seems like a wooden pole he wants to steal for clubhouse material. I don't think any scene like this exists in the episode, just seems to be early concept art for how their thought process could have gone if they didn't go straight to Jonny and Plank for help.
One thing I'm gonna point out barely connected to this: I just got reminded that the correct spelling of the word is "vertigo" but the episode is titled "Virt-Ed-Go." Did they switch the vowels just because of Ed in the middle or was it a misspelling? Some sources like the DVDs spell "Vert" correctly. Weird!

Cartoon Network Friday Spotlight- Ed, Edd n’ Eddy- “Virt-Ed-Go”
Tumblr media
Ed, Edd n’ Eddy is finally on HBO Max, hooray!
Let’s put on a classic. For as rough as the first season was, it was formative for many fans, who jumped on right away. This one is pretty iconic, too- the Eds decide to build a treehouse clubhouse, and intend to make a profit by charging for entrance. Which is all fine and good, except the Kanker sisters claim it before they get the chance to invite anyone.
One weakness that is fair to claim about EEnE is that the show often just drops the Kankers in solely when they need an antagonist force to reckon the Eds with, and that they work better when they’re integrated more organically. While I can see an equally entertaining episode where the Eds try and fail to keep their clubhouse booming, the Kankers do make for good foes here.
A lot of the episode revolves around the Eds trying to get them out of their hard built treehouse, and falling on their face each time. It never gets that mean spirited, even though this is one case where the Eds (even Eddy) are arguably in the right, as this is just classic cartoon chaos.
Plus it’s fun to see the wacky ways the Eds build their treehouse, in addition to how they fail to beat the Kankers.

There is something about The Eds I just love so much, form when I was 7 years old and saw (Virt-Ed-Go) for the very first time, to become really fascinated about art techniques for how it was made on sheets.
Here are some collection I own:
 DVD:
- Ed, Edd n Eddy Edifying Ed-Ventures (from USA)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy Fools' Par-Ed-Ise (from USA)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy The Complete First season (from USA)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy The Complete Second Season (from USA)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy The Complete Third Season (from Thailand)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy The Complete Fourth Season (from Thailand)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy The Complete Fifth Season (from Thailand)
- Cartoon Network Christmas Rocks (from USA)
 Video games:
- Ed, Edd n Eddy - Jawbreakers! (GBA)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy - The Mis-Edventures (PS2, NGC, PC and GBA versions)
- Ed, Edd n Eddy - Scam of the Century (Nintendo DS)
 Other stuff:
- Cartoon Network Cartoon Cove/To The Eds-Treme! (for PC)
- Cel animation production background from 15th episode of season 2 (Urban Ed)
- And a Mini breakfast (Ed Heads)
It may not be the biggest collection, but I am fine with it what I have.

What do you like about Eddy’s relationship with Ed?
OMG! Everything! They’re so much like brothers and they can laugh and be goofy with each other. Ed kind of brings out the kid in Eddy when he’s trying to grow up too fast. (Not always a good thing, I know, but…Oh well.)The thing I love with Ed in particular is that he’s always on Eddy’s side, no matter what. I think he can almost sense that Eddy needs a stable person person in his life and also that Eddy needs reassurance in his ideas and even his very existence. On Eddy’s part, even though he abuses Ed and falls by the wayside by late Season 3, he does genuinely care for Ed and acts almost like the big brother that he wishes Bro was. Some of my favorite moments are in Season 1 when Eddy is so very protective of Ed, and one of my favorite moments between them is in “Virt-ed-go” when they’re arguing about Ed putting a hard hat on his butt. It’s such a “best friends” and childish type argument, but also sweet because Eddy’s genuinely concerned for Ed’s well being.
