five more baby updates:

today while I was feeding him yogurt I said MORE MORE MORE! and he hollered MOH MOH MOH!!!! back several times. I also often say “I LOOOOOVE youuuuuu” to him in a specific singsong-y pattern and he’s started making an approximation of the pattern back to me. this inspired me to start singing his own singsong babbling back to him on clear pitches and he thought that was incredible. 10/10 WOULD recommend having this mama as your mama says owen

we have now reached the stage where whenever I am eating anything he crawls over, pulls himself up to stand, and is like hey what are we eating? and if I do not feed him from my plate he starts screaming his head off in indignation he cannot BELIEVE this treatment he WILL be writing to parliament

as of the last couple days he now says “mama” to refer specifically to me wahhh. just now he crawled into the room, motored over to the bed, and said “mama?” in the most piteous voice ever as he held out his arms to be picked up lol. he loves to pair it with this exact expression: 🥺

he is really into putting objects into drawers and taking them out again. now anytime I’m sitting cross-legged on the floor he’s decided my lap is a drawer and will pile up all his objects in there for safekeeping before he takes them out again ahaha.
