The most common argument you'll hear against self diagnosis is that people will fake being [X] for attention. But every disabled person, physical or otherwise, knows this could only work in online spaces - the world was not made for us, and brandishing your disability as a badge of honor that gives you ~special privileges~ is such a funny idea.

Like, honey - that doesn't happen. No one gets anything from being disabled. Maybe extra accommodations if you're lucky - but nothing else. And the internet isn't as important as you seem to think - eventually it just feels hollow.

Ask disabled people how often they had to fight to get diagnosed so their medical needs could be met and their complaints would be heard. Doctors are just hardwired to delay this as much as possible.

I knew I was autistic since late 2018 - I got an official diagnosis 4 months ago. Knowing yourself and how you can make your own life easier is a lifesaver.

And this isn't even going into how many *cons* there are to a professional diagnosis, like being met with disdain at best and denied services at worst.

I don't care if a 16 year old who self diagnosed after taking 1 online quiz about autism is wrong. And honestly I think it's weird people treat this 'issue' with so much hatred.

i have a lot to say regarding some people’s crashouts over lewis’ comments about the team and team structure yesterday, but i feel like it would either be met with willful ignorance or like be received by people who already know what i’m talking about, but just for me to get this out because i’ve been vibrating with this thought since yesterday—any sort of feedback lewis gives to a team that he is NOW A PART OF and is paid a LOT OF MONEY to give feedback and drive for, is met with again…real nastiness rooted in this need for both maintaining a victim mentality—ferrari fans love to be sad about how shitty their team is, they revel in loserdom, i should know, my grandpa was one of them—and also racism lmao. y’all don’t like that a black man/non-italian is being critical even tho he is literally being paid far too much money to do just that. like it’s literally his job.

ya know..talking..well- ranting to my friend over the different Eclipses and their lore in the sams..kinda made me realize something,, we know Solar's moon died when he tried to get rid of the kill code , reset, came back with the intentions to also get Sun back to life... due to failing for a time, because even if Solar never say , we can assume is long enough for him to learn how to fix almost anything! so is a loong time! for Solar to finally just accept it.. but for Moon to gone mad.. Solar knows the effects on someone grieving for too long, he SAW it, he LIVED it, sadly the video is down but when he and Lunar talked after BM broke his ,Lunar, arm.. he mentions he has many stories of nearly getting killed by his own Moon.. (I mention this because even after all, when Solar did finally killed Moon..it wasnt out of anger, not even revenge! it was..out of fear, he said he didnt wanted to do it! , so he know Moon's madness was just a mask for pain!) now.. back to lore.. im sure to this point Sun wont tell what he did, the whole locking his mentally unestable brother, and forcing electric shocks into him if he tries to leave because "he pushed our help away!" but knowing Solar is aware Moon had "gone mad" trying to get him back HAS to ring a bell on him.. it just has to! this hits him too close to home! to his own Moon! his past! this is something he has experience with, so I do wish this comes back,so he can be the one to finally said it! "Moon was suffering! as any Moon, he wasnt going to ask for help for himself! getting him locked up like a criminal after everything! of course he gonna go mad! I know that!" just.. get Nexus name clean up.. ok guys hear me out.. and please do so with an open heart. travis martinez had one of the best character developments in yellowjackets. it's subtle but he goes from being this macho man who was very much socialized to impose toughness i.e him being mysoginistic to nat in season 1 to seamlessly blending in with the girls and the wilderness. you can assume from the little that he opened up about to nat about it that his dad was a piece of shit that raised him with deep pressure to perform masculinity. then his dad died, his brother died and so did the pressure to be The Man. he started being socialized differently and breaking out of the gender norms that he felt so choked by in his coliving with the girls. now that i've defended myself and i wanna clarify i'm a lesbian too i think lottie nat and travis as a throuple would EAT harder than the girls ate jackie's body. i mean, the simultaneous tension and connection between them in the adult timeline (RIP) was so deep and we don't get enough of that in the teen timeline. i think the writers made a big mistake killing travis' adult character SO early in the season. it was ridiculous i mean THERE WAS SOME DEEP SHIT BETWEEN THEM 3 GOING ON. and the fact that natalie didnt believe in any of the wilderness shit yet she seemed so relieved to be there with lottie. and travis is the in between character struggling with the spiritual vs the cynical part of him which is lottie and nat, respectively. i mean lets not forget that when travis and nat finally had sex he was literally seeing VISIONS OF LOTTIE. and wheter you like it or not that was the closest we got to a lottienat sexual or even romantic scene. yes more so than the bathtub scene. was lottie doing astral projection bc she wanted to be there to fuck them?? who knows. i just know there's a lot of untapped potential there.

Hot take from the JTHM fandom: I don’t think a JTHM movie should be made. Never. Not because of some weird purity nonsense like “iTs NoT tHe SaMe As ThE cOmIcS” because- yeah, that’s the fucking point. It’s because I am terrified of one thing: Incels.

Okay, here’s the deal:

We all know that Nny isn’t supposed to be idolised or looked up to, right? Like there are multiple times in the comic where his way of thinking or philosophy or whatever else you can describe the disastercore crockpot shitstew brewing in his mind as are criticised and questioned. He’s a great and genuinely fascinating character, I love him to death, but in real life he’d be a horrible, horrible person.

With all due respect and appreciation, he’s a dangerous, irrational, impulsive, hair-thin triggered, pathetic, cowardly hypocritical loser who tried to kill Devi, the one person he loved because he was afraid of a possibility he had no reason to worry about or even believe will happen. He is a sadistic monster who knows what he is doing is wrong but does not have the capacity and/or willpower to stop himself from hurting the people around him.

Point is- most of us should understand that Johnny is not meant to be looked at as an almighty prophet or a philosopher equivalent to the likes of Socrates or Confucius or this, that and any of the other. I believe we are meant to look at him as a force of nature: something that is chaotic and horrible and unwanted but is cursed to exist anyway. Something to study and analyse but never to admire or aspire to be. As relatable and funny and, dare I say, cathartic as he is, we must never give into the temptation of being like him. Incels and people like them, on the other hand, absolutely do not understand any of these things.

You see, incels are stupid. It’s why they blame women and minorities for the fact that they’re unlikeable and subpar. This applies to how they consume media, too. Characters like Walter White and The Joker were completely misunderstood and butchered by incels. If a morally grey male character pushed to the edge is even thought of within an incel’s space, they will devour and kill and consume it like bloodthirsty piranhas without giving it a second thought. As “intellectual” as they larp themselves to be, they have none; they don’t self-reflect, or analyse, or do even the slightest amount of critical thinking about anything. Their lack of self-awareness should disgust and horrify you. When those people read JTHM, they don’t see Johnny as who and what he actually is - a force of nature to avoid and only take in from a distance - they see him as a misunderstood genius; a pillar of supreme and almighty intellect; a based Chad among the sea of soyjack virgins that is Society™️. They take him seriously.

They’re literally Jimmy. And nobody likes Jimmy.
