I fucked up. Thought too hard about what the Papas might’ve pursued if they hadn’t become entangled with the Satanic Church. Besides the very real likelihood that they may not’ve even existed, I mean.
And I thought about how Terzo probably would’ve gone on to make movies. His style is not for everyone, but he has visions he wants to bring to reality because he believes beauty, in its many forms, should exist in this world. Inspiration comes in many bizarre and meaningful forms, and who is he to deny someone story of imagery that might catapult them into what they were made to pursue, the same way watching Metropolis way too young made him discover filmmaking? He’s known for putting up fights with executives and whatnot because he hates having to compromise more than what should be while still maintaining his original vision. Film students love him and he’s active on social media and answers questions and whatnot.
The industry calls him “difficult to work with” — and while those who’ve worked with him admit he tends to be very deadset on his ideas, they all agree: Working with Terzo is amazing because he’s still quite kind and respectful and will go to bat for them if executives or producers try and come in and switch them out with bigger names.
He’s known as the Dark Angel of the film industry.

Honestly, the craziest part of accessibility is that there aren't many abled people (and disabled people who aren't disabled in Every Way Possible) who wouldn't benefit from any of the accessibility options out there
ALT text has made it so much better to navigate image-based pages! I'm not visually-impared, but tumblr is terrible at loading images, and I'm not always connected to WiFi. People who add ALT text make it easy to satiate my curiosity when images don't load! This, coupled with actually learning how blind and visually-impared people navigate the online world, has inspired me to do my best to emulate the things I find helpful, even if the way it helps me is very different than theirs. Having a sense of scale in how it helps me versus how it actually makes the internet usable to the blind and visually-impared is something I do try to keep in mind.
Navigating a world with accessible options is primarily going to help the disabled, and it's imperative to keep this in mind. I do think, though, that illustrating just how much accessibility impacts even abled people's lives can help inspire people to think, "wow, I can't imagine a world without [accessibility option] and I don't need it, but it makes life so much easier." The more I interact with accessibility options I don't need, I still find it so helpful. I can't even imagine how amazing it is when you do need that accessibility and it's actually provided to you.
I don't think that abled people should only be in it for themselves. Again, accessibility should put disabled needs first and foremost. But I can't help but wonder how many people you can get to understand this by first saying how it impacts them, too.

Not any chapter for any fandom related but since we're just a few days away til 2025, I just wanted to congratulate and be thankful to all the artists out there for keeping on the grind and passion for their works.
Be it a mangaka, artists, writers, singers, composers etc. I wanted to express how grateful I am to all of you in contributing color and life to this tumultuous and bleak years that we have.
As a fellow writer myself, sometimes I feel for the other artists when a reader, viewer or an audience tells them that their works are "crap" or "trash" for no valid reason at all.
So to all the aspiring artists out there and who haven't lost their flame of passion for their art and what makes them happy, I salute you.
Keep on inspiring people such as us ⭐

We have more little peeks at "Wake Up Magical Girl!'s" demo soundtrack!
One of the first songs you'll get to hear within the demo, this song is danceable, fun, and might play while you become a magical girl! :D (And learn the dangers inherent in the job :O)

Who wants some Amadeus Music Behind-The-Scenes Fun Facts?
The main theme for Amadeus's hometown of Dartmaure was originally written when I was in grad school, for a film scoring class as a theme for the movie The Book Thief.
Here is the original piano sketch, which is now a couple years old:
Our assignment was then to orchestrate the theme and fit it to the main title/opening portion of the film. Now, this version is interesting for a couple reasons:
Half of the instruments [especially the brass] were extracted from the Tales of the Abyss overworld MIDI—I did that for fun and decided to use the instruments I found.
It's an incredibly boring, generic, and safe orchestration. It sounds like something someone wrote for a film scoring class assignment that was not their highest priority. Nothing about it stands out.
After graduating and focusing on this game, I used the theme as a basis for what turned into a more abstract track that plays outside of the manor. I liked the atmosphere of the theme I wrote but the orchestration needed a lot of work.
I recorded myself playing various countermelodies on cello and experimented way more with textures in this version, and it really reflects the compositional voice I've found now that I'm no longer in school: melodic, dense, textural, and dissonant.
And now, as of the updated demo, downtown Dartmaure features a reorchestrated version of the full original theme (with some live winds, courtesy of Lucas Bere). It has hints of the same density and dissonance present in the Prologue version that plays outside of the manor, but is toned down slightly to be a more "safe" first introduction, and focuses more on melody.
So ironically, the last version I wrote is the first version you now hear. It deteriorates from this into the more abstract version, to reflect Amadeus's mental state as he gets closer to making a terrible life decision.
This one theme is a great representation of the entire game's development. It started out as something I wrote in school when I was very influenced by school priorities, and has since transformed into something much more polished, and much more unique, now that I've worked on it on my own time.
I'm hoping to update the Bandcamp Demo album soon with the new tracks in the current demo. Stay tuned for an update on that!

hc + 🎭 for an arts-/crafts-themed headcanon [Mhin or Aetheris!]
Ooo! I can't decide so I'll just do both. >:3 Mhin:
Mhin is the type of person to over-intellectualize art and feel uncomfortable interacting with it on anything but a practical level. They will resist the idea that they should be open to exploring 'the themes of the artwork' if pressed. They can understand that there is value in being able to draw realistically. Anatomical and alchemical diagrams are useful in a very tangible way - and portraiture obviously takes skill - but if you ask them anything about the emotional aspect of the art, they will stubbornly shut the conversation down. (Also they won't be complimenting Vere under any circumstance. Not even by accident.) Similarly, Mhin is the type to rally against the idea that they are creative. If Mhin has a good idea, it came from their base of knowledge being applied to the problem, not their "imagination."
Atheris:
Besides being really interested in music as an art, they like to embroider their own clothing! (And maybe if they became attached to someone, they might...) They prefer to embark on embroidery projects that have symbolism attached. If no one around can really determine what that symbolism means...it's probably for the best. In fact, that's better.

Oh I am *cackling* at the producers trying to claim the show was driven by Loki and Sylvie's relationship when she refused to lift a finger to help multiple times (while platonic bestie Mobius was living out romcom moments by the dozen with Loki), and honestly they could have not had her in the season at all and barely anything would change. Like, I don't like that ship but it's still SO deeply disrespectful to give them NOTHING on screen all season while giving all the cute classically shippy moments to Lokius, and then come out after and claim it was some grand, sweeping romance and also there was nothing intentional about giving all the shippy stuff to Lokius. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Also, as I said in some tags, the "we can't get into Loki's head" like is just....peek absurdity. My brother in Christ, YOU'RE the writers! This character has been in the MCU for like, 14 years, played by Hiddleston who is *obsessed* with Loki. Getting into Loki's head should have been a cake walk! And even if it wasn't, IT'S LITERALLY YOUR JOB TO GET IN THE CHARACTER'S HEAD. Maybe this is why shows are so shitty? Instead of letting the characters drive the plot by getting into their heads and making choices from that perspective, showrunners instead twist the characters into a storyline.
ANYWAY.

aaa hope you dont mind the ask, but like,, youre a clownpierce fan too right? lol
i heard about winterpine and im curious about it, you mentioned watching some of it (mightve been scrolling through some of your posts)
is it interesting? i was debating checking it out because im curious, and clownpierce is in it, but i dont know what its like or what channel its on. also should i block the tag to avoid spoilers if i start watching it do you think?
Well, I am a ClownPierce fan and I have watched Whitepine so this is as good a place to ask as any! And don't-cha worry, I like answerin' asks all the time! :D
I'm not sure what the Whitepine tag contains right now but it might have certain out-of-context spoilers, like most general fandom tags do, so if that bothers you it might be a good idea to block it — personally I wouldn't, mostly bc the series isn't that long as of right now anyway: it currently has 3 episodes of around half an hour each, more or less (31 minutes & 19 seconds, 32 minutes & 47 seconds and 25 minutes & 34 seconds specifically) and the story is barely starting; there's things to be spoiled about, sure, but nothing too major either. I wouldn't worry about it.
In terms of how interesting it is, however, it depends — personally I thought it'd be better, but it's also because I discovered it through someone who was singing the series some serious praises like it was the second coming of Jesus Christ in Minecraft series form; not the favor he thought he was doing to the series, honestly. The series is a murder mystery period drama with Ivory as its protagonist — Clown does appear but he's not constantly there, so if you wanna watch it expecting Clown to be there all the time, it's probably not for you then. The series also has a lot of lingering shots and silent scenes where not a lot seems to be happening, and it might make the episodes feel longer or a little boring, but it has good cinematography going on, and the character interactions are fun regardless, so there's always that to look forwards to. Ivory is a charismatic, soft-spoken protagonist and is partly what made me stay through the rest of the runtime for the series — it's a decent show all things considered, but because it's barely just starting (the first episode was posted just two months ago, so.) it doesn't have too much meat to its bones yet; if anything, I'm sticking around for Ivory's character, Serapter's, Pyroscythe's and Clown's, plus the intrigue of how IvoryTV (the main storywriter behind Whitepine) is gonna unravel the mystery, not necessarily due to the currently laid out story.
The channel it's being posted to is IvoryTV, though looking up Whitepine on youtube should be enough to find all three episodes — hope this was the answer you sought for! 😊😊
