// Final Photography \\
I was able to use a mix of photoshop magic and the mac suite to create the photos for the box. The closest thing I had to the bottles I would have liked is the gordons bottle so I used that as a place holder, however in theory it wouldn't be green.

I love Eunsung! I just love pretty and seemingly or genuinely sweet people! I hope he gets some more fans soon. I just wanna give him a hug!
But most importantly, I do have a question.
What dark/yandere tendencies does Eunsung have? How bad can it get in the right (or wrong) circumstances?
(✨️🐇 Anon)
OH RABBIT ANON HOW I'VE LONGED TO SEE U AGAIN 😭😭😭😭
Me too! He's so sweet that if he vomits, he would vomit candy and rainbows ^^
Ok so based on this chart here, Eunsung falls under the Posessive type - specifically the Deprived: Clingy type. He will not stop clinging on to you, and if you leave him - he will be so unstable and won't be able to continue his career. But that doesn't mean he won't try and find you.
So the current story I have in mind is that the cult is trying to bring Soregujitsah (Eunsung's mom) to Earth to kill off unworthy souls, and to recreate Earth in her own image with her followers surviving the process. Originally, this plan almost worked successfully when Eunsung was born. However Eunsung's father, Pygulamon (PIE-GUHL-LAH-MON), split Eunsung's power into two - making the ritual incomplete.
Enraged, Soregujitsah decided to find Eunsung's father, but could not find him. But knowing how much Pygulamon loved his childen, she took out her hatred and disdain on Eunsung. Eunsung could not even go against his mother since his power was split.
The cult, fearing her hatred, swore that they will do everything in their power to bring Soregujitsah back to earth. But to do so, they needed to find the other half of Eunsung's power.
And that power, was unfortunately in you.
And so, with this power, you are able to develop and change his personality - regardless what type of MC you are. Your actions and decisions are extremely important, and will determine whether you two will live peacefully, or die as offerings to Soregujitsah.
It can also change the type of yandere Eunsung can be:
Tumblr media
Imo, Eunsung is quite similar to Milo in @perfectlovevn (amazing vn!!! Love the MC); Eunsung can have multiple routes in how he wants you.
This is just a little overview of how various Eunsung can be. It's not everything, but hopefully this can give you an idea:
Tumblr media
Deification vs Actual Deification:
Deification - Eunsung worships you like you're his god (ironically). Actual Deification - You become an actual god/goddess, while Eunsung fully embraces his god form.
In terms of the asterisks:
*Delusional - This one is a rabbit hole. You can enable him into taking drugs, making him lose sleep, etc. You can possibly encourage him to think beyond his capabilities (which he can cause he's a seahorse-siren deity). This can send him to an early actual deification, corruption route.
*White Knight Syndrome - Eunsung, realizing that you can't always be together, will do anything it takes to protect your "delicate" existence. This will put him back on the original route, but due to being corrupted by your advice, the ending will change. Can also lead to actual deification.
Explanation on Perseverance:
Perseverance is a meter that shows how determined he is in keeping the two of you together. This can appear in the Posessive and Obsessive Routes, but having a low and mid meter just causes bad endings (lol).
also guys even tho i put this in visual novel language (or DOL langauge?), it's not an actual game. it's just my way of explaining things to you all
hope this helps, Rabbit Anon! ✨️ ✨️ ✨️ ✨️ ✨️ ✨️

Hello and welcome to The Dòrok Project! An ongoing worldbuilding and comic project set in a sci-fi fantasy setting, with post apocalypse undertones.
This is a joint project created by concept artist, Tatiana and her dear friend the linguist, Jasper. “Together we seek to produce visually interesting and functional concept art in a unique world setting, with heavy emphasis on speculative biology and worldbuidling coupled with functional fantasy langauges.”
Tumblr media Tumblr media
These are work in progress sketches of the main cast of the comic, starting from left to right with:
Anja (protagonist): Anja is a fiery pilot and engineer, with a sorted pirating past who’s earnestly trying to move past it all and be a better person. Anja left her home country to live in the nation of Dòrok so she could better pursue her dreams of working with advanced technology. She is enamored with all things technology from the pre-extinction world.
Nazusha (Deuteragonist): Nazusha is the current monarch of the nation of Dòrok, he is in his mid to late twenties and is a pragmatist as well as very cunning. Nazusha received the throne at age 14 after the untimely demise of his father, Yarojin, this has left Nazusha with a cynical disposition, lingering bitterness over his stolen childhood and resentment towards the throne.
Kitalupa: Nazusha’s little brother. Where Nazusha is a pragmatist and cunning, Kitalupa is Compassionate, scholarly and a diplomat. Kitalupa has an endless font of empathy, sometimes to a fault. At times Kitalupa can be reckless and emotionally volatile, he possesses potent psychic abilities that can exacerbate that volatility. Nazusha is oftentimes overprotective of him, which has caused Kitalupa to become a touch naive and sheltered.
Jeropoka: A cousin of Yarojin (Nazusha and Kitalupa’s father) Jeropoka is the pope figure of Dòrok, and after Yarojin’s demise, has become a pseudo parent figure to Nazusha and Kitalupa. Like Kitalupa, Jeropoka is also a psychic, he is arguably the most powerful psychic in Dòrok. While Jeropoka is stern and commanding, he does care deeply for Kitalupa and Nazusha, thinking of them as his own sons. Jeropoka shares more rigid beliefs about how Dòrok should be run, though his own goals and motives are usually unclear.

Self / Independent Learner's Guide to Language Learning From Zero
-a mini study plan I used this for Spanish, French and Italian, it is my favourite way of starting to learn. It won't teach you the langauge but if this is your first time, if you feel confused and don't know where to begin, this is for you! -this is kinda romance langauge based but might give you ideas if you are learning from a different family too -this is very notebook / writing based since i prefer learning that way Step 1: Preperation
First of all, ask yourself "do i already have some amount of immersion in this langauge?" As humans, we learn from immersion a lot. Songs, but especially visual media is incredibly heplful. I never studied japanese but after watching a few animes i picked up 5-10 random words. Passive vocabulary, being familiar to most common words will be your biggest friend. If the answer is no, before start studying ANYTHING do some immersion. e.g. I watched dix pour cent for French and learned arrêt which means stop because characters were shouting to each other all the time.
After making sure you have some immersion or if you already have some, PREPARE YOUR RESOURCES. Make a file in your computer, reblog tumblr posts, save links. Search for pdfs in google. (x language a1 pdf / x langauge a1 grammar book / x language a1 reading) Free PDF's and and useful websites. The more the merrier. Why? Because when you actually start learning you will slowly realise them half of them are not actually useful, too advance, too simple, not in your preffered style etc. You will en up using same handful amount of resources again and again but before that, you have to TRY EVERYTHING. You are unique and so will be your learning process.
Google x language A1 curriculum. (you can try adding "pdf" at the end of sentence as well) It "probably/ hopefully" exists. If you can't find that way, learn which offical exam is necessary (e.g. for French it's DELF/DALF, in english there is IELTS and so many more) If you are lucky, you can find a langauge teaching enstitute's curriculum and you can find in what order they teach things. This was very helpful for me because sometimes you don't know what to study next, or just want to visualise what do you need to learn, it is helpful. I printed one out and paste it to the back cover of my notebook. You won't need this one YET. I'll explain in a second. Keep reading.
Get a notebook. I don't prefer books while learning from zero because it will be filled with vocabulary you don't know. My pereference is no squares no lines empty ass notebook and colorful pens. I'm a person of shitty doodles. I love to draw and visualise things. It really helps my brain. In A1, your knowledge is absouletly zero and your brain is about the explode with realising GREAT MASS of knowledge you need to learn in order to be "fluent" . So keep things away from being "too much" if you want to avoid a burnout.
Set a timer. If you want to avoid burnout, the secret is always quit when you feel like you can go another round happily. Quit when you are dopamine high. If you study too much, next day you'll wake up tired, want to rest etc. and make it harder for you to create a habit. I did this mistake with French by studying 4-5 hours everyday for around 30 days. I completed my challenge, completly quit and then didn't come back for MONTHS.
You will be re-studying A LOT. Language learning is repetition. You will start by studying "the A1 curriculum". But, because this is your first time your focus will be on the vocabulary and general comprehension. You are trying to re-wire your brain, and learn a different way of thinking and living. It's not easy. It will take time. It will be painful at times. But it is 100% worth it.
After you finished studying your curriculum, you'll take a short break and then study the curriculum AGAIN. For a second time. Because you already know the basics, this time you will be able to focus more on the little things you weren't able to comprehend the last time. e.g. articles or whatever little frustaring thing your langauge has. Also focus more on basic prononciation and especially reading aloud. Find a realistic text-to-reader. Copy-paste a text. Listen and repeat.
Get a new Youtube and Instagram account dedicated to langauge study. How many good resources exists and where they are is really depens on which langauge you are learning. For english, youtube is better. For French, instagram is better. You have to see for yourself. If you get a seperate account for your langauge algorith will learn faster and you won't be distracted by other stuff. Short form engaging videos are the best for absolute beginners. Re-watch things and try to repeat them out loud. It's called shadowing and is your future best friend.
If you want to learn how to speak, you first need to how to write. If you can't write sentences without looking at google translate (or reverso) you won't be able to make up sentences in your head. If you want to learn how to write, your first need to learn how to read. You need to start in this order but also don't be perfectionist. Do it even if you do it wrong. They will be fixed eventually and won't stick. Record yourself speaking even if the text you are reading is 90% google translated. Why? Beacuse speaking will enhance your vocabulary in a way no other thing can and that's the core of reading. So this isn't a linear thing. It's actually a circle!
Step Two! Ok, Sadie, i got my notebooks and read through all the warnings where do i start? *First page: [] means written is target langauge
[x notebook] x= your target langauge
Add something cute and make you feel happy to open up the notebook. It can a drawing, a picture, anything. First page is your entrance to your new home. Make it welcoming.
*[My name is X. I am Y years old. I live in Z.] *Greetings. Main articles if there are any. Yes, no, please, thank you. *What is your name, what do you do for living, how are you, where are you from, how old are you, how many langauges do you speak, numbers from 0-100. If there are multiple way of saying these things and probably there are, just write one. You will eventually learn others. Baby steps. *write a basic ass text of two people having a conversation asking and answering these questions.
*the alphabet and how to pronounce the letters. basic letter combinations that change into a different sound. a youtube video about this 100% exists.
*personal pronouns and if there is a "am/is/are" verb the conjugation of it. (in spanish there is two unfortunately) *artciles and basic noun endings. a couple exemples of nouns in x form but takes y article. *first 5 most common verbs. learn the conjugation, try writing basic ass sentences. (e.g. to come, go, have, speak)
*three more verbs (e.g. to eat, can, to want)
*take some time to fully comprehend. check your curriculum list to look and see if you want to add anything. e.g.for spanish that can be ser vs estar, for spanish is can be "how to ask questions in french" becaue it's way harder compared to other langauges.
*take some break from grammar and learn some vocab maybe. it can be colors, or feelings. (i am sad, i am hungry etc.)
*start studying most common verbs. usually a form of categorization exists. usually it's verb ending. (unless it's a language like turkish where every verb either ends with -mek or -mak lol.) Start with 10- 15 most common verbs. You will also be learning some vocabulary by default. (try to stick to regular verbs if you can, if not that's fine) (Do not learn any verbs you won't be able to use immediately.)
*Learn basic adjectives and how they work so you can form more detailed sentences.
*After comprehending how to form basic positive negative sentences and some verbs, congratulate yourself, because you deserve it! *Learn how tell time. "What time is it? It's x'o clock."
*learn clothing and how to simply describe physical look e.g. hair color, eye color, beard, glasses...
*learn the verbs of daily routine. be able to write a generic ass "i wake up, i do breakfast, i eat lunch at school, i sleep" sort of text.
*demonstratives. this that. these. those. you can add some vocabulary you like. this is a cat. this is a tree. you can add placement adjectives now or later. (the cat is under the sofa. the bird is on the table etc.)
*Now you know a lot of things! Take some time and focus a bit more on the vocab, let your brain process things, do some passive immersion. avoid a burnout at all costs. *learn how to say "there is" (if you want more vocab transportation and city centre themes can be included.) *learn how to talk about your hobbies. This is the generic A1 curriuculum. You are able to understand basic things, you have a generic comprehension. That's all it takes to be considered A1. If you want to pass it though, what you need is a good grammar source. For French and Spanish Kwiziq was very useful. I couldn't find a good online grammar resource for Italian yet. (please ask more experienced langblrs for recs.) Slowly learn more vocab (since A1 is more vocab based. If you hate Anki and Quizlet stuff check Linguno. Actually check Linguno anyway it's a banger and i'm gonna die on that hill.)
If you don't have have native friend to ask questiones and you don't have any ethical concerns ChatGPT can be useful. I'm using it for French for months. Why are we using this particle here, why this and not that, can you give me some example sentences.... you can play guess the animal, ask for writing prompts and then make ChatGpt find and explain your mistakes to you. It's very handy.
*Don't be scared to share about your journey on Tumblr and most importantly ENJOY!

That's actually an interesting question on the dyslexia!
So while I'm unsure if dyslexia in particular would function similarly on heiroglyphics, there are other decoding issues.
My brother, for example, has some sort of decoding problem in his brain that functions very similarly to dyslexia, but not exactly the same. He's described it as "impossible to process any letters beyond the first three" and he simply got very good at memorizing word orders and structures and using context clues for longer words. He's also delved into studying foreign langauges before, and he seems to have similar issues with Japanese characters, so I imagine hieroglyphics would be the same.
Dyscalcula and dysgraphia are also things that exist separately but are related to dyslexia. They affect your ability to process numbers and your ability to write, respectively. Dyscalculics will have very similar issues as dyslexics, but with numbers instead of letters. Dysgraphics can usually read pretty okay, but translating any of their thoughts to writing runs into a mental block (some of them have an easier time typing, others don't).
I'm sure there's some sort of visual-language processing error out there that would cause Cleo to have problems with heiroglyphs, but I also think it's okay to still call it dyslexia for simplicity's sake. That's what we do with my brother. Sort of like being pan and still calling yourself "one of the gays."
Fascinating actually

Comic-ish pubmat
Tumblr media
This publication material is one that I've created through Canva, given that Bitstrips is no longer functional and that this was made before classes officially started. I've created this as teaser for the Day of Welcome society booth teaser of The Association of Langauge Erudite (TALE). I take particular pride on this one given the responses I've received, especially that the PPG-style characters in the visual have been digitally drawn by me. Conceptually, the booth was always to follow a Powerpuff Girls x comics vibe, and it became a matter of banking on that idea to visually execute it. In it are essential details for the occasion such as the title, date, and the contact details of the organization. Moreover, the dialogue and story bubbles have been added to benefit the theme.
Together, these elements ensured the impact and maximum engagement of the material upon posting. In terms of the process of conceiving the output, it was a bit of a challenge that a comic template was not available to Free Canva users. I've had to manually manipulate elements such as lines, particularly to achieve the comic panel gaps as seen above. Making sure that the photos and elements overlap (or don't) each other the right way also required meticulous attention to achieve the production of a material that felt modern but stuck with its theme.

just dropping by to say how much i love your jacegan fic 🥺 i want to start writing my own fic but i've tried and every time i lose interest and finish it. i love how you give us such quick updates with barely any typos and a clean structure. what's your secret? do you use any tools like ai to write so fast? thank you!
Oh wow, first of all, thank you for the compliment! Second of all, do not, and I mean DO NOT, for any purpose use chatgpt, character.ai, or any large langauge models for your writing — just don't. It won't help your writing, it won't help you as a writer, and it won't help anyone alse.
To answer the question, I guess I'm a relatively quick writer because I've been writing for years and years now outside of fanfiction, so I have a process and the habit down pat, honed from creative writing workshops and the more rigid process of academic writing. With the process I have, half the entire project is basically done even before I post the first chapter.
My approach to writing is very similar to how most people draw and make visual art. You start with a rough and vague outline and then add the details in later steps. Outlining is a learned skill. For fanfiction, most free-write their work, but if I actually intend to finish anything more than 10k+ words, I need to have a plan and know where I'm heading. I really do recommend at least learning to outline, even if you are an intuitive writer who will end up mostly ignoring it.
Here's a rundown of my "steps" with examples taken from my current fic and a project that's still in the planning stages that I may or may not write:
#1: Outline the whole project
Plot the fic chapter by chapter, centering each chapter around one major event or info reveal. You can be as vague and messy as you want for this step since you're the only one who'll get to see your outline anyway.
Tumblr media
#2: Outline the scenes you want per chapter
You don't need to list everything that'll happen at this stage. These are the key scenes that you daydream about while listening to music or taking a walk. You can picture these scenes on vivid 4k.
Tumblr media
#3: Write summaries of each scene
I put each chapter into a seperate document with their key scenes already there. Here's the phase where you just start telling yourself the story. Again, this isn't meant to be read and seen by anyone but you. The goal is just to know how the events are connected and will play out. This is also the part where I do most of my research.
For example, under Chapter 4 - Jace Recovers, I wrote:
Jace wakes up in Driftmark/High Tide. Body aching, barely can move. [Research here how long it takes to heal from broken arm and medieval casts.] Sees himself in the mirror for the first time and doesn't recognize himself. Has as existential crisis but because he's Jace, he channels the dread into wanting to keep fighting.
This is very short since it's a scene with no dialogue, just one character, and just one major plot point. Some of my summaries are 10x longer, especially for things like trials, small council scenes, battles, and other big events.
#4: Actually start writing the prose
Because you've done step #3, you won't be staring at a blank document and actually know how everything will play out. Without having to worry about plot consistency or inaccuracies since you've ironed that out in the previous step, you can focus on just making these things sound evocative or beautiful or punchy or comforting or angsty or whatever mood you want to communicate with your prose. The summary that was 55 words ended up being 750+ words after this step, and I breezed through it in one sitting.
#5: Plug the prose into a text-to-speech program
I don't have a beta-reader so this is basically my beta-reading step. There are plenty of free TTS apps out there and any of them will do. The goal here is to catch typos, see which lines sound clunky, repetitive, or disjointed, and make corrections accordingly. I listen to my own writing while doing chores, walking, or any other mundane task, and I find it the most enjoyble part of this process because it fills me with such a sense of accomplishment having that sort of tangibility in hearing my work.
Just to clarify, this is the process that I've tailored for my own personal needs and preferences. Every writer is different — some need to have a mood board or reference images or find summarizing their chapters removes the joy of "discovering" as they write. All those methods are perfectly valid as long as they get you to actually put words other people can read on a page. But you can't discover your own personalized method unless you actually start writing. It will be slow earnings at first, but eventually you will craft it bit by bit through trial and error.
OTHER MISCELLANEOUS REASONS WHY I WRITE SO QUICKLY
My job is not emotionally or physically draining, so I have plenty of energy for creative pursuits. If you go home exhausted, don't force yourself to churn out words. If this starts feeling like a chore and not fun, that's your signal to rest and take a break.
I write primarily on my mobile device. Because of this, I can write during downtimes and my commutes. There are some writers who have to be in front of a desk, but I recommend at least trying it on your phone just to see if it works for you.
If I don't want to write about it, then I don't. Don't ever feel like you have to write about anything if you don't want to. If there's a big battle that happens but you get bored writing action? Just tell the readers it happened in one or two sentences — no need to devote a whole scene or chapter to it if it doesn't excite you. Same with time passing and travel. You don't have to fill the page with paragraphs explaining what the characters did if you just want to get them from point A to B. If it isn't fun to write about, then your readers most likely won't have fun reading it either.
I don't care if it's not the best that I can do. Often, I do think I could have written certain things better and added more. But eh, it's fanfiction. It's a hobby. The fact that it exists and I created something is already an accomplishment and the desire to endlessly finetune gets in the way of that.
I have a community of fellow fanfic writers I can bounce ideas off of. Honestly, I got lucky with this one and just got invited to random server one day. But you can usually find discord servers with fellow fanfic writers linked in your fandom's subreddit.
I don't have twitter, instagram, tiktok, or other social media time sinks that might distract me from my hobby. This one speaks for itself. Tumblr is really the only place you can find me.
Anyway, I think that's pretty much it. I suggest starting small with a one-shot or short story, and then expanding from there. Happy writing, and remember, the goal really is to just have fun and be proud you made something with your own two hands (so absolutely NO AI).

// Label Development \\
I knew I wanted to add the shape of the logo over the label, however, when I quickly lay it over I realised that all the information would not come out.
I went back to the digital file and made sure nothing was too close to the edge. I then put the image over my design to make sure before printing it off. I noticed that some of the information was still slightly off centred to I rectified this again before printing them off and trying again.
Once printed, I cut out the shape and then placed it on a bottle. I don’t have one shape four times over, so I took photos on one bottle and I’ll have to experiment to get the final photograph in the box.

It's so fucking wild to me that despite the fact that residents of Hell should be from all time periods, almost nothing about their designs, dialogue, beliefs, or appearances reflects that.
I know that when you're a hellspawn or sinner, those traits might not carry over in terms of phenotype. Especially if you're an animal like half the cast or so is. But you can deadass pull from cultural attire and hair styles, language, and demonic spiritual designs known within that culture to show who they were in a past life like these Niffty redesigns do (amazing redesigns btw).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
From Alastor to Husk, it's apparent Viv has a bad habit of taking characters from her other properties or coming up with concepts and retrofitting new headcanons into those designs without thinking about the implications or changing anything to fit those implications or new canon.
Is Nifty from Japan? Is she Japanese-American? If so, those cultures would be completely different. She would likely speak and carry herself far differently depending on her place of birth and proffession in life therein.
My boyfriend is Vietnamese, and I've talked to several Asian and Japanese friends concerning cultural upbringing. For all of them and as a general rule with any culture, those born in the homeland and those born in America are very different from one another in several resepcts.
With Japanese people, from who I've spoken to, it's different compared to other Asians. Many non-Japanese Asian-Americans I've known seem to have a higher retention of language and culture compared to Japanese-Americans. Some Japanese-Americans told me it was because many of them were put in concentration camps during WW2 and through that processes and in an effort to assimilate and not be seen as a threat, they shed or lost a lot of their Japanese culture. Normally langauge and some cultural practices.
Is Niffty Japanese-American? Was she ever in a concentration camp? Did she force herself to shed her Japanese heritage to survive during a time of war? Did she come after the war? Did she live her entire life in Japan?
I know we can't know every aspect of someone's backstory, but Viv seems to never explore these deeper questions for charcters that I feel would very much benefit from that if she wants to portray them as different races and ethnicities from differnt time periods. No elaboration, play, or subversion of culture norms.
What if Nifty was a subversion of the otetsudaisan where instead of bein a demure and subserviant maid she is dominant and violent? In fact, the purple design of her is accurate to the attire a Japanese house maid would wear.

Like - Viv makes all this lorem ipsum lore and it's insane how so much of it is... Nothing??? Almost none of it is hinted or depicted in the character designs and how they act???
EXAMPLE - Maybe it's because I'm Christian, but it irritates me how she does surface-level research on abrahamic demonology and beliefs when there's SO MUCH SHIT she could use to make her world INSANELY COMPELLING beyond Hot Topic aesthetics.
People rag on her design aesthetic but that's not even bad persay. It's just mostly... lacking and copy-paste???
There's no point in begging because the show's fucking out - but I'm BEGGING her to actually portray the things she claims these characters have??? AND I LIKE HOT TOPIC SHIT.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Like - Corpse Bride is nothing but Hot Topic edtwt, but at LEAST the designs of each character TELL A STORY and the dead people ACT LIKE THE TIME PERIOD THEY'RE FROM and THERE'S COHESION AND PURPOSE BEHIND THE DESIGNS ON AN INDIVIDUAL AND WORLD BUILDING LEVEL.
HOW ARE YOU GOING TO HAVE YOUR WORLD SET IN HELL WITH DIFFERENT RACES AND TIME PERIODS AND BARELY UTILIZE ANY OF ON A VISUAL OR ACTING LEVEL - I'M SCREAMING.

ICONOCLASM
This Generations Obsession with visual communication is Symptom of the evolution of information. Information is condensed and relayed, repeatedly Abstracting into a new iteration . The Algorithm is the Output of the Input that is Emotional Charge. Everything becomes Visual, seen in 2D characters becoming Omnipresent Symbols of Ideas and Identity as they last forever on the Internet. Everything is Characters, be it the Lines of a Script or that of a 2D 'Face'. Eyes are the Visual Organ, Beholding 2D characters without Sentience behind the Eyes. They are personified through Attribution, the Light rays cast against the Retina like a Projector to a Screen. Objective or Subjective? What does the Collective Optic Nerve See?
The natrual result of this is Flat 2D Images which attempt to relay Multi-Dimensional concepts, and the Simplification of langauge alluding to highly contextual and Elborate ideas. Forwarded memes pointing at the Collective unconscious. The nature of communicating has simplified to create an Echochamber fueled by Emotional Charge as Few and vague words are the Best Canvas for Projection. It’s all Shorthand. Hyper-individualism creates Hyper projection, creating Aesthetics and Microaesthetics that condense and Reduce all aspects of Reality into a Flat 2D Image. Charecterisation. Humans become Characters because Characters are the New Human.
No longer does Information require the conscious processing of the beholder, it simply is a Visual Signpost infinently forwarded and infinently dilluted. No longer are murals of Angels or of Christ venerated across Frescoes, they Find themselves subconsciously relayed as diluted Fragments. Even this Visual format (random Capitalisation) and Elaborate wording is a nod to Schizposting meme. Yesterdays Iconclasm is Todays Icon. The Angels of Yesterday Cry.

Film- The Abstraction of Langauge
Tumblr media
Introduction
I have always admired the nuance of language in the writings of some of my favorite authors. From Gabriel García Márquez’s ability to create colorful worlds full of life, wonder, and tragedy all at once to Toni Morrison’s rich and vivid imagery in her almost rhythmic language, my love for literature has always been obscured by my frustration with writing. Enrolling in a filming class has profoundly influenced my approach to writing - transforming how I think about storytelling, structure, and visual detail. I have always struggled with language, finding it difficult to express my thoughts coherently. I have often felt that my abstract thought process was arduous to express, as I struggled with confidence in my writing. My creative process of analyzing and making movies revealed, to me, a unique relationship with language and how it can be used to highlight complex thought, especially when paired with the visual aspects of film. When forced to compress emotionally impactful scenes filled with symbolism into written language, my communication ability dramatically improved. The art of filmmaking is converting abstract thinking into digestible meaning.

The Beginning of My Film Journey
My relationship with language has always been strained. I frequently struggled to organize my words into a format that those without my scatter-minded brain could understand. As such, I often felt unconfident and even ashamed of my writing abilities, relying on math and science as a scapegoat for my poor grades in English classes. My teachers occasionally commented “underdeveloped”  when grading my work, adding to my growing shame.
This was a fear I carried well into high school. At one point, I was forced to sign up for IB Film, a 2-year film class in my last two years of high school—a course that delved deep into how movies are made and the creative choices used to evoke meaning. My favorite memories came from filming our project with all my friends after school despite the enormous effort and thinking involved.
I initially enrolled in the class hoping to be “an easy A," though it soon became apparent that this was far from reality. Throughout IB Film, I was required to watch movies and analyze specific elements, such as Hitchcock's use of lighting in Psycho or color in the Disney remake of West Side Story. To my dismay, the class required essays with huge word counts and pictures taken throughout the movie to use with the written text. Because of this, I loathed class, believing all this writing was just too much for a single film, and I didn't get how to write 3000-word essays based solely on colors, shadows, and props. I kept having waves of panic, overwhelmed when confronted with having to write. Those past writing experiences loomed over me, making me think I would never be good enough at writing to succeed in this class. I, especially, struggled with writing vivid, engaging scenes, often employing a very matter-of-fact writing style to avoid exploring the meaning behind a film's creative choices.
The Process of Analyzing Film
For most of my life, I felt trapped in the rigid structure I believed writing was—one where words had to fit neatly into paragraphs, follow a set format, and adhere to strict rules. In an environment where most of my writing came from history essays and book reports with rubrics to match, it only reinforced how I felt the writing was. Regardless of my teacher's answer of “there never being a correct answer,” it was clear that I had to follow the teacher's rhetoric to get a good grade. Film class was a whole different case. Analyzing film allowed me to work through a film's visual and audial aspects to create descriptive, powerful, and engaging writing. Films are packed with visual metaphors and symbolic elements, and I needed to learn how to translate these into words to succeed in this class.

The Significance of Language in Creating Film
Ironic as it is, the process of creating the film was one the things that helped me the most overcome my unconfidence when writing. Putting words together was always a struggle for me. Filmmaking was the bridge between these two worlds. Film is a visual medium, but every shot, cut, and movement carries meaning—just like words in a sentence.
One of the first films I worked on was titled Through the Lense of the Camera, a project involving me and four friends. One of the main goals I wanted to focus on in creating this horror-esque short film was bringing meaning through the film's imagery. One of the main focal points of the film was the idea of the entire movie being filmed from a handheld camera by one of the actors. Because of this, the prowess of what I could write into the film was very limited. I worked away at my keyboard for hours, struggling to create a plot and dialogue that could work within these tight constraints. Despite this, however, the creation of this project helped immensely develop my understanding of how language should be used. For this project, and filmmaking in general, my writing wasn't just about the dialogue but also the plot's tone, rhythm, and context. Lighting, shadows, and slight movements of the actors had to be considered, forcing me to put my abstract thoughts into language that others could understand and translate into my film vision.
Filmmaking’s inherent integration of multimodality was a unique opportunity to develop my fundamental understanding of language and its use. I recognized that language is more than words; it is how meaning is crafted and received.
Conclusion
One of my favorite quotes comes from the world-renowned director Alfred Hitchcock, who states, "All art is emotion, and the task of the filmmaker is to use the tools of his medium to manipulate the audience's emotional experience." Evoking emotion through film is a process of writing. Before turning on the camera, assembling the set, or even drawing the storyboard, filmmaking begins with writing a story. Film-making has become a means of self-expression, where I can truly bring my ideas to life through a symphony of writing, visuals, and sound.  Breaking through the confinement of traditional writing styles by creating comedy skits, horror shorts, and documentary-style interviews have been some of the ways I’ve overcome my internal unconfidence with writing, which I carried around for years like a weight.
Tumblr media
As a writer, my goals have always been to create imaginative and engrossing works of literature that envelop my readers in the worlds I create. Reading has always been a passion of mine, as well as reading works from authors worldwide and throughout the ages. I’ve always somewhat resented my brain and how it thinks, as im always swept away in daydreams yet can never seem to concentrate these thoughts onto the imposingly blank pages. Filming was a passion I never knew I had, one of immense frustration though eventual appreciation. Mixing these visual aspects into my creative work alongside language was an experience that vastly deepened my ability to communicate and demonstrated the power of storytelling. Whether it be a “stupid” short comedy about a tea party gone wrong or a noir film with a murderous easter bunny, filming has encouraged me to finally work on putting my thoughts onto paper and gave me a space to practice creating scenes from the books I loved to read in a different medium.
While my time in college has somewhat hindered my ability to continue this hobby, perhaps one day, I can continue my journey.
