@silverhypnos @opalwatch this is some heavy Chrollo yapping so yeah cool
———
in my humblest opinion, i just think that as a community (of phantom troupe and chrollo fans), we tend to be pretty annoying when it comes to talking about chrollo's intelligence. what i mean is that before the succession war arc, everyone worshipped chrollo's intelligence as if he was superhumanly clever and could make no mistakes when it came to predictions. however, after hisoka killed shalnark and kortopi and the troupe members were seen on the black whale, people were really harsh on chrollo and his intelligence.
however, there have been many times where chrollo has made some pretty ridiculous mistakes or missed something extremely important due to him being too invested in something else. chrollo even admits this himself, which is why i find it annoying that most fans just think that it's simply because chrollo got too depressed or something; because again, he's shown so many gaps in his intelligence. chrollo is human; he makes mistakes. he isn't all perfect and he will make stupid mistakes, like we all do. here are some examples of times that he hasn't made the most intelligent of decisions:
- during the kurta clan massacre, chrollo didn't think of the very real possibility that perhaps the full kurta clan wasn't present when he had massacred them. this is especially embarrassing because technically speaking, kurapika (in the canon hxh volume 0) was the one who revealed the existence of the kurta to the public eye (haha funny pun) due to him activating his scarlet eyes near the mountain that he lived. so chrollo not thinking that someone literally activating the scarlet eyes OUTSIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN might be OUTSIDE OF THE MOUNTAIN is definitely a mistake on his part. that mistake indirectly led to pakunoda and uvogin's deaths.
- chrollo getting revenge for sarasa's murder and making sure that “this [torturing] never happens to anyone in meteor city again” (chapter 397) indirectly might've led to even more crime and danger in meteor city. chrollo's plan was for the world's most dangerous leaders to show off their torturing video tapes at meteor city, find which one was sarasa's, and kill whoever had did it. according to chapter 405, the troupe was successful. after that, we don't know what the rest of their plan was. however, considering how the troupe members haven't gone to meteor city in a while before the chimera ant arc, the child k!dnappings have likely ended. but chrollo did indirectly lead more criminals (such as gyro) into meteor city. and what do criminals do? they commit crimes.
- chrollo doesn't learn from his mistakes permanently. in the past, sarasa went off alone, and that's how she ultimately died. however, in the yorknew city arc, before uvogin dies, he's perfectly fine with hisoka going off alone. after uvogin dies (who notably dies due to pursuing kurapika alone), for the next 2-3 DAYS, the troupe operates in small groups. however, after chrollo defeats hisoka, he lets shalnark and kortopi, two NENLESS people, walk around on their own. they're killed too. on the black whale, chrollo is perfectly fine with working alone (before shizuku and bonolenov approach him), machi is alone, and franklin is also alone. considering how chrollo and bonolenov are both currently (as of chapter 410) also alone, that means that shizuku is most likely alone too. and what happens to troupe members who are alone? they always die.
- this one's a pretty common one, but chrollo should have cut off hisoka's head for good measure; especially since chrollo literally knows of post mortem nen and literally has a nen ability in his book that literally uses post mortem nen.
so to any hxh fan who calls chrollo “stupid in the succession war arc” because he's depressed, chrollo has ALWAYS shown signs of being somewhat lacking in common sense. my personal theory is that this is due to his upbringing in meteor city, where common sense never applied. i still love chrollo (he's literally my favorite character in any source of media), but i just think that people constantly overrating chrollo's intelligence makes them have false opinions on his current status in the succession war arc.

Ranking the Yellowjackets from least to most unhinged/corrupt
I’m bored and I feel like we need to hold these characters accountable a bit more so I’m going to rank the main Yellowjackets characters by how many terrible things they’ve done, and I’m going to list these terrible things.
I’m not including the side characters in this list (like Melissa, Gen, Mari, etc.) because they’re all kind of at the same level and have committed the same sins.
TW: Mentions of SA
10. Javi and Laura Lee

These two are both in the most innocent ranking on this list because I can’t really think of a single thing either of them have done wrong. Laura Lee called her piano teacher a cunt I guess? Javi ran away and made his brother worried? Yeah, I’ve got nothing. These two are pure, sweet souls that didn’t deserve what happened to them.
9. Jackie

•Left Van on the plane to die
•Broke girl code by sleeping with Travis right after he and Nat broke up
•Kind of dubious consent with Travis being on drugs when they slept together (Jackie didn’t know that though) and her convincing him to sleep with her after he says he’s in love with Nat
Jackie’s crimes are really just being a teenage girl and becoming a nihilist after finding out about Shauna and Jeff.
8. Coach Ben
•Slapped Misty
•Lead on a teenage girl into thinking they had a romantic connection
•Most likely committed cannibalism (Steven Krueger said that Ben’s disgust during the Snackie scene was more about how savagely the girls were eating Jackie and not about the cannibalism itself, he likely snuck just a little Jackie meat to stay alive)
•(Allegedly) Burned down a cabin full of teenagers with the intention of killing them
7. Travis

•Made blatant misogynistic comments
•Pointed a loaded gun at Nat
•Pushed Javi to the ground
•Slept with Jackie when he was (kind of) still with Nat
•Committed cannibalism (including eating his own brother)
•Made offerings to “The Wilderness”
•Cheated on his girlfriend with Nat in the adult timeline? (according to Nat in her hypnosis scene)
Travis’ crimes were mostly out of his control and solely for survival. And being a sexist, moody teenage boy in the 90s.
6. Van

•Made offerings to "The Wilderness", one of Lottie's main followers
•Committed cannibalism
•Hunted down Nat with the intention of killing her
•Allowed Javi to drown so she could eat him
•Told Travis she does not regret letting Javi die and eating him
•Called off the psych team for Lottie knowing that it would likely result in one of their deaths (was clearly willing to reinstate the hunt, which resulted in Nat's death)
We haven’t fully gotten to know adult Van yet, but I have a feeling, with the cold/numb shift we see in Van after Javi’s death and her seemingly still being a follower of The Wilderness in the adult timeline, she will shoot up this list when Season 3 comes out and we learn more about her.
5. Lottie

•Was the first to commune with “The Wilderness” and introduced it to the others
•Made offerings to “The Wilderness”
•Was the first Antler Queen
•SA’ed Travis and hunted him down with the intention of killing him during Doomcoming
•Committed cannibalism
•Accidentally killed Travis
•Drained Travis’ bank account after his death
•Lead an ethically questionable cult in the adult timeline
•Kidnapped Natalie and handcuffed her to a bed
•Suggested that the girls should reinstate the hunt and sacrifice themselves to “The Wilderness” again in the adult timeline
•Hunted down Shauna with the intention of killing her
While Lottie did serve as the first Antler Queen, her reign was centered around (mostly) harmless worshipping rituals and she seems to have mostly good intentions. Notably, she was not involved in the first card draw/hunt and seemed to disapprove of it. She also was not involved in Adam’s murder coverup. However, she did spearhead the girls’ descent. And the SA, questionable involvement in Travis’ death, and her reinstatement of the hunt are hard to ignore.
4. Natalie

•Attempted to kill her father
•Faked Javi’s death
•Committed cannibalism
•Allowed Javi to die in her place
•Accepted the role of Antler Queen
•Committed insurance fraud
•Blackmailed her former sponsor
•Breaking and entering
•Attempted to shoot the blackmailer (Jeff)
•Manipulated Kevyn into giving her confidential police records
•Stabbed Lisa’s hand with a fork
•Helped Shauna cut up and bury Adam’s body
•Joined Lottie’s cult and encouraged the others to join as well
Nat is interesting because she’s often considered to be the moral compass of the group, but she’s done a lot of bad stuff! What sets her apart is the guilt and remorse she feels after these events.
I’m putting her just slightly below Tai because Nat was not involved in any of what happened during Doomcoming, she has not yet hunted a person unlike the others, and she was less at fault for what happened to Javi because she didn’t really have a choice. However, she had a real descent in Season 2. You can see something shift in her after Javi’s death, so I think we’re going to see a much darker side of Nat from now on. She accepted the role as leader of a group that just hunted and ate a human being, so I have a feeling she is going to move up on this list as we learn more about what happened in the Wilderness.
3. Taissa

•Accidentally broke Allie's leg
•Committed cannibalism (unconsciously the first time but intentionally the second time)
•Partially participated in hunting Travis during Doomcoming
•Hunted down Nat with the intention of killing her
•Allowed Javi to drown so that she could eat him
•Traumatized the fuck out of her son
•Killed Biscuit and made a shrine with his severed head
•Helped Shauna hide Adam's body
•Intentionally got into a car crash which almost killed her wife
•Cheated on her wife with Van
•Called off the psych team for Lottie (knowing this would mean the card draw would become a real hunt?) (idk her role in that is confusing)
Taissa is hard to place on this list because a lot of the bad things she does (eating Jackie, Biscuit, crashing the car) are "The Bad One" taking over. Ultimately I placed her here because of the dark potential of The Bad One and how little control Taissa has over this persona.
Taissa did consciously hunt Nat, eat Javi, and help cover up Adam's death. And she called off the psych team knowing this could result in someone getting killed (although I think that was more Van’s influence).
2. Shauna

•Slept with her best friend’s boyfriend (and got pregnant with his child)
•SA’ed Travis, hunted him down, and attempted to kill him during Doomcoming
•Was the first to commit cannibalism
•Encouraged the others to eat Jackie
•Beat Lottie within an inch of her life
•Hunted down Nat with the intention of killing her
•Allowed Javi to drown so she could eat him
•Butchered Javi’s body
•That scene in the pilot where she’s…doing things to herself while looking at her daughter’s underage boyfriend
•Had an affair with Adam behind Jeff’s back
•Pointed a gun at a car thief and told him she really wanted to kill him
•Killed Adam, cut up and hid his body, and lied to the police about it
Shauna seems like a sweet and unassuming house wife on the outside, but she is secretly an adrenaline junkie who loves quote on quote “peeling the skin off a human corpse.” She really, really wanted to kill that minivan stealer, like to a concerning degree. Shauna, of course, has her soft moments and cares about her teammates, but she has a secret dark side that can definitely be bad news for those around her. I have a feeling Shauna will maintain this spot high up on the list as we learn more about what transpired in the Wilderness as well as where her adult self goes from where she left off in Season 2.
1. Misty

•Broke the flight transmitter
•Attempted to SA Coach Ben
•Drugged Coach Ben without his consent
•Drugged the entire team without their consent
•Committed cannibalism
•Made offerings to the Wilderness
•Accidentally (but also kind of intentionally) killed Crystal
•Hunted down Nat with the intention of killing her
•Pulled Nat away when she was trying to save Javi
•Allowed Javi to drown so she could eat him
•Committed elder abuse
•Hijacked Nat’s car
•Planted secret cameras in Nat’s hotel room
•Arrested for breaking and entering
•Kidnapped, held captive, and killed Jessica Roberts
•Helped Shauna cover up Adam’s murder
•Accidentally killed Natalie (while intentionally trying to kill Lisa)
Do I even need to explain? Misty is terrifying and absolutely a sociopath. Also, she’s canonically a serial killer. This girl is absolutely the most unhinged on the show and will likely remain in the top spot as future seasons come out.

The Reader learns about Aqua's newest plan to destroy his father.
Aquamarine Hoshino x Reader (gender neutral) One Shot. Word Count { 1241 } Spoilers for Chapter 148!
You're So Crazy, Manipulate Me. Title is lyrics derived from the song "Ecstacy" by SUICIDAL-IDOL .
You traversed the sparse wooden area. The summer wind was warm against your bare arms and the smell of the sea filled your nostrils. The seawater clung to your hair after swimming. Now, however, completely dry to search for the person who’d suddenly disappeared from the beach.
The boy sat near the edge of a cliff, watching the sun as it was beginning to set.
”There you are”, you said, loud enough for Aqua to hear, and walked up to him.
He looked up at you and his blue eyes met yours for a second.
”What are you doing here?” he said as you sat down next to him. You wrapped your arms around your legs and hugged them close to your chest.
”I noticed you left and went to find you”, you said and wiggled your toes to take off the sandals irritating your feet.
Aqua looked back to the sunset.
”Just needed some time to think, that's all”, he said.
You could almost see the cogwheels turning in Aquamarine Hoshino’s head as the sun reflected in his eyes. His expression was similar to that day the two of you first met; lost in thought. Scheming.
You sighed and rested your head on your knees, ”We’re close now. The movie’s almost finished and we’ll have him. He’ll be ruined, once and for all. You’ll have your revenge.”
Aqua bit his lip, ”But what if that’s not enough? What if the movie’s not enough?”
You raised an eyebrow at his statement. He’d been so certain before, almost to a horrifying degree, that the movie would be the thing to put Hikaru Kamiki in an early grave; his scheming and heinous acts would be revealed for the whole world to see. He’d have to disappear; go incognito.
”What do you mean?” you asked.
”Ruining his status wouldn’t be enough to keep him from committing another crime”, Aqua said through gritted teeth. ”We cannot have another Ai-incident happen. His punishment shall be permanent. I want him to be removed completely.”
Aqua turned slowly towards you as he said the last sentence. His eyes were wide, stars apparent in both despite his fringe covering most of his left eye. It was the eyes of someone who’d had enough; someone who was willing to go to any length to make sure his revenge be executed wholeheartedly. He looked maniacal, insane, beyond repair… and you thought he’d never looked more handsome.
You chuckled. Aqua’s gaze softened at the reaction.
”You’re quite bold by actually telling someone of your desire to kill, Aquamarine”, you couldn’t help but grin.
Aqua scoffed, ”I believe you of all people should know. You’ve helped me thus far.”
”It was our agreement, was it not? You helped me flawlessly exact revenge on my former life’s pathetic excuse for a husband. In return, I vowed to make Aqua Hoshino’s father pay for what he’d done”, the grin curled on your lips. ”So… of course. If you’ve changed the plan to instead kill Hikaru Kamiki, then I’ll happily follow your lead.”
Aqua stared at you sitting beside him. All he could do was stare at the grin on your lips. The same grin you had on your face once your own revenge had finally been executed. You looked calm, but the grin curling at your lips told another story. It always did.
He let out a chuckle. Your face was the one to soften this time by the reaction. There was no sign whatsoever of the maniacal grin plastered on your lips a mere second ago.
”I’ve never seen that expression from you before”, you raised an eyebrow. ”Only when you’re acting.”
The genuine smile didn’t leave Aqua’s lips once he stopped chuckling. The residue of laughter was apparent on those lips who had just told you about his plan to murder.
”How fortunate I’ve been to find a partner in crime who wouldn’t think twice when it comes to abandoning morals”, he said,
You blinked.
”Akane plans to stop me”, Aqua continued and looked down at the ground. ”Despite everything he’s done.”
You snorted, ”Her and what army? Last I checked, she’s the only one who even knows the basics of what’s truly going on. I’d like to see her try to stop us.”
Aqua stared once again at you beside him. Awe, was how he’d explain it. You thought like none he’d ever met before. You were intelligent beyond adequate measures. To have someone going through the same thing; someone to once again be reborn into a younger; someone who wasn’t his sister; someone who wasn’t afraid to get their hands a little bloody. It was as if the Gods had answered his prayers.
He placed his finger underneath your chin. You looked at him with a brow raised. He gently stroked your chin with his thumb, looking into your unfazed eyes. A small sparkle. He could feel your breath sharply against his lips. You’d mastered the way your eyes worked, but the rest of your body still reacted in the way of a teenager. Featherlight touches did the trick.
You stared intently into his eyes, never once averting your gaze. He wondered what you saw every time those eyes looked into his. Perhaps you could see his wants, his needs, his desires. You’d seen almost all of them before. Almost.
Aqua closed the gap between your lips. A jolt of electricity soaring through his body at the connection of your mouths. You tasted like saltwater, and smelled like it too. But underneath the salt lay something addicting. Another scent adorned by your lips on his.
You didn’t push him away. Instead, you tilted your head to give him the ability to move more freely. His lips grazed over yours and you felt the stinge of what was Aqua Hoshino. His lips were chapped, but they reminded you of the taste of coffee. A bitter taste incredibly difficult to swallow; but one with the power to have someone energised for hours.
Aqua cupped your cheeks with his hands. Your hair tangled in between his fingers, curled like the grip you were holding on his lips.
Breathing was secondary, especially when your cold hands touched the base of his neck. An electric shock. You felt it in your fingertips as you touched the bare skin of his neck. Slowly grazing over his adam’s apple. He shuddered. It wasn’t even cold outside.
Slowly, but surely, your lungs were greeted by the blissful feeling of oxygen entering your suffocating bodies. Your lips parting from one another’s, panting heavily by the lack of air for who knows how long. Time seemed to have stood still; the sun slowly setting in the horizon.
You felt Aqua’s heavy breaths on your lips. His forehead rested gently against yours. Your hair was still tangled between his delicate fingers. Intertwined.
”That was very out of character of you”, you said in between breaths, grinning ear to ear. ”Are you sure you’re not acting?”
Aqua’s face was flushed. Yours wasn’t any better.
”I’m not an actor”, Aqua said and forced you to come closer with the help of his fingers curled in between the locks of your hair. ”You just make me feel… so many things.”
You smiled.
”All because I said I was going to help you kill your father?”
Aqua nodded against your forehead, ”Yes.”
”How romantic of you, Aquamarine Hoshino.”
It was psychopathic, really. You were both psychopaths.

Billy body-swaps #7
╝╗║╝╗║╝╗║╝╗║╝╗║╝╗║╝╗║╝╗║
Hear this...
boom de yada...
boom...
de...
yada...boom de yada
Superman: Marvel... It's almost time, are you ready?
Billy: Yes, I just wanted to look at the Earth a little more... maybe I'll be you in a second or with Green Lantern on Oa... we have five minutes before jumping.
Superman: Take your time. If you fall asleep, I'll take you to your room, don't worry.
Billy: Thanks, Clark.
Clark: It's fine, Billy.
They've talked about some changes since he told them his biggest secret. Many really gigantic changes...
Billy walks towards his room. Yes!
Now he has a room!
And he lives in the Watchtower. Boom!
That was the big news!
Yay?
It's not what he had planned, but it must make sense and he still finds it hard to grasp.
One minute to midnight.
Time for his weekly jump...
Oh, you didn't know? Well, now he jumps weekly.
That's what happens when you force a jump. A small price to pay if the world was saved from Doomsday.
Ohhh!
...: And then he pierced his heart with a harpoon!
Billy: What?
...: What? Now are you enthralled by looking? You must truly join, Snart!
Billy: I don't drink.
...: Are you going to leave your friend Mick with the drink?
Billy: I don't drink.
Mick: You always say the same thing, but what's wrong with you today? You look like you've seen a ghost...
And it starts!
Billy runs out of there as fast as he can without looking back. This brings back memories of Barry and his marriage proposal. But he wasn't in a nice café...
He had ended up in a random place, with random people instead of one of his League teammates' houses.
True, that was the second piece of news!
<He's an official member of the Justice League>
That didn't sound in Billy's mind with the excitement he expected...
Back to the slow-speed chase. Billy has run out like a soul being chased by the devil.
There aren't many places to hide in a residential neighborhood. Literally, there aren't even public phones to call...
Well... here's a problem.
Billy hadn't considered a scenario where an emergency extraction was necessary under these circumstances.
With the frequency of the changes and the fact that he has only possessed League members, always in safe spaces... Doomsday doesn't count... He really should have.
Batman did, obviously Batman did...
But... But Billy feels guilty for not doing his part. He only remembers the first four digits... He swears he was going to learn the rest next week.
This new host only has a disposable phone.
He thinks he must run for the next few hours and everything will be fine...
Yes...
Just run for twelve hours straight with someone on your heels.
Mick: Snart! Stop running!
Billy: No! Stay away!
Heavens? What would Superman do?
Well... there's this trick of... No... he doubts it would work... But... But... would Superman answer long-distance calls?
Billy: I'm Marvel!... and I need a super extraction!
Not much happens after that except for a tackle from the pursuer.
....
Batman: So... potential heroes? He is one?
Flash: Yes! I want to speak for Snart, I've fought him for years, but I've seen that potential and we need to talk about how he helped in the last crisis. Please, Bruce, believe me... I can feel it, I'm not wrong about him...
Batman: It will be put to a League vote, but we need to monitor him every Sunday... and deploy a global plan. With Snart on the jump list, we must consider that every villain or even civilians could be potential hosts for Billy.
Diana: Meanwhile, Leonard Snart must give his word and commitment... We can't expose Billy to this rogue. Whether he has potential or not. He's committed enough crimes to keep him locked up for a good time if there isn't a commitment.
Flash: Guys... Friends, you know me and I ask you to trust me... I'll vouch for Leonard...
....
Jon E: How's that hit, Marvel?
Billy: Nothing a cold steak can't fix.
Jon E: We have something better.
Billy: Ice cream?
Jon E: I left a tub in the fridge next to the vaccines, don't tell Batman.
Billy: Thanks, Jon! Can we use some magic to heal this wound? I wouldn't like Snart to have to deal with this when he gets control back.
Jon E: Zatanna is on duty, I can call her after you finish your ice cream.
Billy: Well, I think I'm going to need more ice cream if I end up like Lex Luthor or Swamp Thing.
Jon E: Let's hope not.

Hi, idk how often you do requests but could you do a mid season Sam fic. The reader is with the FBI with the unexplained cases and she meets the brothers. It would be funny if they tried to convince her that they are also with the FBI and she somehow catches them in their lie. They work together in the case and Sam and the reader end up falling for eachother. Thanks you so so much!!!!
Caught
Sam Winchester X F!Reader
this took me so long to write i'm so sorry. i don't reeeeally like the ending but i did the best i could. i hope this is what you expected bby <3
Summary: You were assigned a complex case and you end up meeting two very weird men who were, apparently, also FBI agents but...why are they named after famous rockstars?
Warnings: FLUFF, descriptions of murderer, murder scenes and violence (usual supernatural shenanigans), sam is an 'intimidating woman enjoyer™', use of Y/N, the writer (me) has no idea how fbi works because she isn't an USA resident, NOT PROOF READ, english is not my first language
W.C.: 8,8k
enjoy!
You had climbed the ladder in the world of criminology considerably fast considering your age. Getting into the FBI in your late 20s was probably one of your biggest achievements and, of course, men tended to make disgusting comments about how such a young woman got such a difficult job – including claiming you opened your legs to get this far. You didn’t mind, actually, it added to your ego to be above those guys – as if they even deserved to be in a job that required empathy towards the victims.
Still, even your superior was shocked at the case he found. A couple had been killed inside their room without any signs of forced entry. All doors and windows were locked and nothing inside the house had been stolen; the bodies seemed to be torn apart from the inside out since there were no knife or bullet wounds and he put you on the case. He thought you would have the abilities to deal with something like this – ‘you’re a prodigy’ he had said – and the guts. The crime scene was absolutely vile; there was blood everywhere and their faces had the skin peeled off to the point their cranial bones were visible. You had seen some stuff, but nothing like this.
The first thing that you did when you got to town was talking with the local police so that you’d learn more about the town’s history with murderers – especially the unexplainable ones. They told you something close to an urban legend: the house that the couple was renting was cursed according to the locals. Decades ago, three kids got killed by their parents in rage, who committed suicide afterwards. They never found the kids bodies and the case went cold after a few years, the police giving up on finding their remains. You found that absolutely unacceptable, giving up on children like that should be a crime, but it wasn’t up to you. Ever since the assassination, every person that rented or bought the house died in unexplainable ways and the police had started to practically ignore or do the bare minimum on the case.
“We’ve been having problems with that house for years” Said the sheriff, a man with a grown out beard, deep eyebags and average height. Not what you would expect for a sheriff given his dismissiveness towards you and the mess his office was. “The previous sheriff also received complaints from townsfolk regarding the place but we could never find out anything. There were no clues, no suspects, just…nothing” He finished, his arms waving around tiredly.
“This is probably why they put the FBI on the case” You said to yourself, guaranteeing the man wouldn’t hear you. You took notes on your notebook, your legs crossed as you sat in front of the sheriff, his table between both of you. You could sense his eyes on you and feel his unasked question floating around in the air. “Anything else, Sheriff?” You asked, looking up from your notes.
He seemed to wake up from his thoughts, shaking his head lightly at you. “No it’s just…Why do you need three FBI agents to work on this?” He asked, on edge, a worry line prominent in his aged face as he squinted at you. Three? You furrowed your eyebrows and leaned back on the chair, closing your notebook.
“I’m not aware of the other two working alongside me” You say. You thought about what your boss had told you and didn’t remember him saying anything about partners, especially two. You usually worked alone most of the time, functioning better on your own. Then again, this was a difficult case, maybe they thought it was better than one federal agent working on this.
“They came by earlier today, asking about the same house and the murderers. They were tall, one of them was…very tall and had long hair. The other one was less serious and, honestly, unprofessional. I think they said they were agent Page and Plant” The sheriff filled you in and now this seemed like a joke. You raised an eyebrow. You had a peculiar taste in music considering it was the 2000s and your father barely listened to anything further than the 90s, resulting in you growing up to know most of the rock bands that were at their highest from the 60s to the 90s. That included Led Zeppelin. And it would be too big of a coincidence for both guys to work together with last names such as those.
“I’ll talk to them about the case, thank you very much Sheriff” You say, raising yourself from the chair and extending a hand to politely shake his. You walked out of his office with a question in your mind and thought about looking up Page and Plant on the database to see if anything showed up when you got to your room tonight. For now, you had to take a look at the crime scene while it was still daylight.
–
Your car’s engine died down as you turned the key. You opened the door and stepped out of the vehicle, adjusting your suit over the white button down you wore underneath. You shoved your car key in your pocket and, when you looked up, you saw another car that easily stood out from the others around the street – a black Chevrolet Impala which you couldn’t guess the specific year just by looking. It was a very beautiful car and you secretly praised in your mind whoever owned it – it seemed well taken care of.
You walked to the crime scene, taking your badge in hand to show it to the police officer that took care of the place when you saw two men, also in suits, talking with one of the officers – two tall men, one had longer hair. The officer approached you as you got closer and you simply showed your badge to him before he nodded and lifted up the ‘crime scene’ tape for you to go underneath. You ducked down and mumbled a thank you as you made a beeline towards the two guys.
You wondered what you were going to say and how you were going to question them about their identity without seeming like you’re assuming anything. As you walked closer, they were finishing their conversation and were turning to leave making you almost bump right into them. They stumbled back and you crossed your arms in front of your chest.
“Who are you?” The shorter one asked you and you took the badge out of your pocket again with a sigh, making sure he reads your name and sees the picture of you that clearly stated you were a federal. He hummed and looked towards his partner, a silent conversation going on between them. You interrupt.
“And you?” You ask and they get their own badges out. You extend a hand to the taller one, silently asking you if you could take a look at it. He gave it to you willingly, which was one less red flag to take into consideration. You looked through everything and it all seemed alright…until you looked at the name on the bottom. Jimmy Page. Is this serious? You look up at them with a judging look and you see the tallest swallow harshly. “Your parents were big Led Zeppelin fans I assume” You say.
“Yeah, yeah they– ha– they were” Jimmy says in a way that’s not believable at all, rubbing the back of his neck nervously. The shorter one closes his eyes and shakes his head discreetly in disappointment – which doesn’t go unnoticed by you. You give Page his badge back and turn to – apparently – Plant.
“I didn’t know that I would have partners in this case, but maybe it’s for the better. What did you find out about the case? Just so we are on the same page” You look between both of them. Plant nudges his partner in the ribs and, before mumbling somewhat of a curse to Plant after practically jumping in place, Page starts to explain to you about their side of the investigation. He seemed professional enough, with a notebook in his hands as he told you everything they could make up from what they knew so far, even sharing with you his assumptions. You were impressed as you started telling him about what you thought – a weird case, too many murders, few clues…Plant stayed quiet most of the time until about halfway through your conversation he said he was going back to his car and you took that as a hint to call it a day.
“Well, I think we are going to work well together, Agent L/N” Page says with a polite smile and you nod, smiling yourself. You took one of your cards where your professional number was written on along with your name and offered it to him. He gently took it from your hand, his fingers brushing against yours.
“Just in case you have anything else to share” You said and he nodded, a strand of his hair falling over his face, which he mindlessly put back with a brush of his hand. “It was great meeting you, Agent Page”
“You too” He said and, sensing the end of the encounter, you started to walk back to your car. You still couldn’t shake the thought of those two being too suspicious for your liking and you were determined to look them up and see if Agents Jimmy Page and Robert Plant actually existed. You walked fast, your heels knocking against the concrete and you didn’t notice Page’s eyes on you, lost in the movement of your hair as you walked away. What woke him up from his trance, though, was his partner honking and signaling for him to hurry up. He rolled his eyes and walked to his own car, stealing one last glance at you. You turned your head back right on cue, giving him a polite smile and a small wave. He awkwardly waved goodbye back and started to walk to the honking Impala.
You had assumed the unknown car belonged to them and you had written down the plate in your notebook discreetly – just in case. You were impressed by their ability – well, Page’s ability – to analyze crime scenes but you weren’t stupid. You couldn’t just erase the fact that you had no idea who those two were and you were determined to find out, one way or another.

Meanwhile, in the Impala, Sam got inside the car in the passenger’s side, almost hitting his head on the roof – like he did most days. Dean was impatiently waiting for him to get in until he saw something clasped in his brother’s hand, his eyes quietly scanning the white paper. In Sam’s distraction, Dean reached for it before he could react. “Hey!”
“You got her number? Wow Sam, never thought of you like that” Dean teased as he looked through your name written in cursive writing and your phone number right under it. Sam snatched the small card back from his brother and shoved it in his pocket, glaring at Dean.
“Shut up man, this is her professional number, she gave it to me so we could talk” He defended as he put his seatbelt on. He mindlessly brushed a hand through his hair again, getting it out of his face as he heard Dean chuckle to himself as Baby’s engine roared to life. Sam looked back to his brother and waited for more teasing to come – as it always did.
“Yeah, talk.” He said, the double meaning in his words floating around in the air but being ignored by Sam. Dean pressed his foot on the pedal so the car would start to move as he shifted into gear. “Besides, she’s an actual FBI agent, don’t you think she’s going to suspect that we aren’t?”
“Dean, I did go to law school, I can manage my way out of this” Sam said with a mischievous smile. He really thought he could, he knew he was smart and he was a damn good liar – he lied in college for a very long time about who he was and what his family did. Not something to be proud of but it came in handy, especially when both him and his brother were in trouble. He had practically lied his whole life about who he truly was, not entirely giving away specific details – especially those who involved his family. Sometimes he regretted it – like he did with Jess – but it was always safer not to know, for both parties. Or so he thought.
“Don’t think she’s stupid–”
“I don’t think she’s stupid–”
“Let me finish” Dean scolded, raising a hand to silence his brother, his eyes still on the road. It was often funny to pay attention to their brotherly behavior and how anyone could know who was the oldest just by these simple interactions. Dean raised his hand and Sam silenced, listening, like how it was when they were kids. “Don’t think she’s naive, she is in the FBI, working alone on a case. I don’t know much about federals but I’m sure that’s not for everyone”
Sam stayed quiet. He knew Dean was right but it wouldn’t hurt to try. Still, he really didn’t think you were stupid, it was impossible to. The way you talked about the case in detail, relating your point of view and what you could gather in a few hours was more than enough evidence to show him you deserved this job more than anyone. He wasn’t used to seeing women in this field, but everytime he did he was convinced that men were definitely unfairly placed higher. Yet, he still didn’t want to get arrested again so he needed to convince you that he and Dean were legitimately federals.
The conversation drifted away in another direction as Sam stared out the window and replied to the small talk Dean made with him every now and then – when he didn’t crank up the volume once Metallica came into the radio playing Creeping Death while they were talking. With a chorus of ‘Die, die!’ being sung by Dean while he beat his hands on the steering wheel to the drum rhythm, Sam’s mind drifted away and he fell asleep with a head against the window, the tiredness of sleepless nights catching up to him.

These fuckers. You thought to yourself as you stared mouth agape to the pictures of who you learned were actually Sam and Dean Winchester – not Jimmy Page and Robert Plant. Two brothers, presumed dead a couple years ago.
Your coffee sat cold over the wooden table of the hotel you were staying the night at. You had already changed into your pajamas and taken a hot shower when you decided to take a look at the case again. Two hours later you remembered the two men you encountered and, when you looked a bit deeper in the police files, the results were horrifying. It actually wasn’t that hard to find out about them, a quick look through the FBI database and you found their exact faces – even if Pag- Sam’s hair was relatively shorter then now. You were beyond pissed, especially at yourself, how could you not have known this? How could you let yourself get played like this? Just because the tall guy was a bit of a nerd and kind of cute? Ugh!
You started pacing around your room, not knowing what to do. Confronting them could kill you, they were murderers after all, according to the database, they had killed civilians and federal agents equally as much. You were strong, both physically and mentally, but there was no way you were escaping two guys that were over six feet tall and weighed about two hundred pounds each. You had to play smart, you had to catch them in a weak moment and then. Bingo. You stopped in your tracks and – like a lightbulb lightened up above your head – you had the perfect plan. You had to wait until the next day for you to execute it but it was going to be worth it. You sent their mugshots to your phone through your e-mail and any other evidence that you could use against them.
You still felt slightly weirded out about them. They didn’t seem dangerous, they didn’t freak out the moment they saw you and they were confidently adding to the investigation with actual useful analysis. You were looking deeper through their files and found out they lost their mother in a fire at a very young age – the youngest wasn’t even one year old yet – and their father had died a couple years ago, in ‘06. They had a pretty sketchy life, living off stolen credit cards and fake identities but something interesting you found out was that Sam Winchester actually went to college, he went to Stanford and your eyes widened at that. You wondered what made him quit, maybe his father dying and his brother needing him, maybe he got kicked out, still, going to college after having a childhood like that was more than impressive.
You kept reading about them until the late hours of the night and you only noticed you fell asleep over the papers you left on the table and your computer when a phone ringing startled you awake. The noise echoed inside your head and, as you lifted your head, the sunlight getting into the room through the curtains hurt your eyes. You only noticed how bad you’d slept when you felt a pain shoot through your neck and down your back as you turned your head to look for the phone – great. You groaned and felt around the table with your hand until you felt the square shape of the device and its humming. You clicked to answer after slightly clearing your throat so you’d seem less sleepy and put the phone to your ear.
“Hello, Agent L/N speaking”
“Hey Y/N, how are things going?” The voice of your boss made you unconsciously straighten your back and swallow harshly. You looked at the time on your computer and your heart fell to your stomach. 11:36AM – shit!
“Hey Sir, everything is running smoothly. I’m currently collecting evidence and later I’m going to the morgue so I can look through the autopsy”
“That’s great, you always do a great job kid” He said and you could feel him smiling on the other side of the line. You felt bad for kind of lying but you had been worrying about other stuff last night.
“Thank you Sir, I’ll report back to you as soon as possible” You reply.
You talked for a while longer as you disclosed the case and, when he finally hung up, it was already past noon. As you got ready for your day, doing your daily morning routine as quickly as you could, you felt your stomach rumble when you got out of the shower, reminding you that you hadn’t had breakfast. You decided then that it was better to stop at a diner or somewhere so you could eat something to go on with your day – since it was already lunchtime you couldn’t necessarily call this brunch. You finished getting ready, putting on your shoes and grabbing the keys to your car while you looked up the closest place to eat something quick.
You drove to the nearest diner that had a decent rating and stopped at the parking lot. When you looked around, you couldn’t believe your luck – or rather the lack of it. The infamous Impala was parked a couple meters from you in all its glory. You audibly sighed but you couldn’t just find another place to eat as quickly, besides, you know what they say, keep your friends close and your enemies closer. Maybe eating at the same place as them was actually a good strategy. You grabbed your wallet and locked your car, confidently walking towards the diner entrance.
The bells dinged above your head as you got in, some eyes looking your way with the noise – including Sam’s. Him and his brother were sitting in a booth in the far corner of the diner, Sam turned in the direction of the door and Dean facing away from it, in his brother’s direction. Sam had his laptop open in front of him as he ate a salad, Dean was eating a burger. Thay had probably been talking before you came in because when you came through the door Sam went quiet as he looked over his brother’s shoulder and Dean kept talking, hunched over his food. You couldn’t listen to their conversation but you gave Sam a slight smile and a nod, your stomach turning as you faked sympathy, as if you didn’t just friendly greet a murderer. He nodded back and that's when Dean slightly turned to look behind him and see you, nodding as well.
You started to walk towards their table, the weight of your hidden gun on your hip more than evident. Just keep calm, you were trained for this. You decided to keep to yourself that you knew their true identity, after all, you were one step ahead of them and, deep down, you knew they could be useful. Their intelligence was beyond impressive – faking your death wasn’t something easy to do. You stood above them with a gentle smile.
“Hello agents, mind if I sit with you?” You asked as politely as you could. Sam scooted almost instantly, changing the placement of his laptop to the side of the window. You didn’t miss the eyebrow raise his brother gave him.
“Hey Ms. L/N. No, not at all, make yourself comfortable” He said, smiling at you. He has dimples you mentally stated.
“Yeah, please” Dean agreed, stretching a hand to the seat beside Sam. His voice was slightly muffled thanks to the food in his mouth and you internally cringed as you could see the chewed food when he talked.
“Thanks. No need to call me by my last name, you can just call me Y/N” You simply said as you sat down, looking almost immediately to the computer screen open in newspapers that dated a couple years back. Murders in the same house all with the same time frame from each other. “I see you work even while you were supposed to be on your break, careful not to burn out Agent Page” You said, looking at his side profile. He seemed embarrassed as your sweet voice got to his ears and awkwardly laughed.
“You know…you don’t need to call me Agent Page, that is just an alias, call me Smith, Sam Smith. That’s Dean Wesson” He said. Huh, claiming aliases, smart move Winchester. “And yeah, I’ve been taking a look at the history of the place, apparently–”
“It’s timed killing” You finished. You scooted slightly closer, pointing your finger to the screen where the date of the newspaper was written at. “Every two years on the same date someone was brutally murdered in the house.”
“Yeah and inside the same room too” Dean pointed out. That you hadn’t noticed. A waiter coming to get your order interrupted the conversation you three were having to get your order. You quickly looked through the menu deciding to eat the quickest and most nutritious stuff there could be at a diner. You thanked the boy that took your order and he walked in long strides towards the kitchen. You came back to the talk you were having with the two brothers and Dean continued. “The master suite. And always couples, someone seems to hate true love” He joked.
“Apparently. Have any ideas for suspects yet?” You asked. If you were going to play pretend you might as well acquire some useful information with it. The boys shared a look between them that they thought you wouldn’t catch, but you weren’t FBI for no reason.
“None yet, still looking into it” Sam said, suddenly seeming on edge, shifting his placement on the booth. You were good at reading body language, it was one of the main qualities that got you in the FBI, interrogating criminals was easy exactly because they couldn’t lie. When you learned their behavior and played your way into their head it destroyed them because even if they were silent, even if they didn’t say anything, you knew what they were lying about – flinching when you mention a certain name or changing the leg they were crossing under the table when you named an address. So, Sam couldn’t hide from you earlier, imagine now that you were inches away.
“Really?” You asked, raising an eyebrow and turning your torso slightly more in his direction, leaning your elbow on the table. He was trapped. You thought about confronting them here, questioning them about their identity in public but you thought better – they definitely had guns on them and two beats one. Either way, you’d put him in a challenging situation, confronting him without even disagreeing verbally. He felt intimidated and now seemed unsure of his own conclusion – how you loved playing these games.
“I mean there’s barely any clues” He laughed nervously. “I was going to call you to see if you had any idea”
“I don’t either, as you said, no leads” You said. The waiter arrived with your food right then and you politely thanked him, drifting away from the conversation you were having with Sam as you started to eat. This time you weren’t paying attention and Dean questioned Sam with a look. What is she on? And the youngest shrugged. You swallowed your food with a pleasant hum, just now noticing how hungry you truly were. “I was thinking we could go to the morgue, if you haven’t already. Take a look at the bodies, see if we find anything”
You were purposefully playing right into their game, faking cluesness and at the same time taking advantage of their abilities to solve the case. It was more important to you to solve whatever was going on to bring peace back to this town than to arrest the brothers who were supposed to be dead. You’d learned that men tended to believe that you were stupid very easily, that you had no idea what you were doing and you started using that to have your way with them. With big doe eyes and feigned innocence you could get very far.
“That’s where we were going later actually. It’s good if you tag along” Sam tells you.
“I would even if you didn’t want me to” You said, joking, but not really. Your tone was humorous but your smile was bitter. They didn’t seem to notice though and Sam even chuckled slightly at your sarcasm. You noticed the dimples in his cheeks and how boyish his smile was, full of bright white teeth and sincerity. You almost felt bad for being rude until you remembered they were killers – even if they didn’t look like it. Sam didn’t seem the type to brutally murder someone, Dean seemed too stupid to be able to get away with it for so many years, even faking his own death and walking around normally – you’d bet he was the one with the idea to put the name of famous rockstars as FBI aliases.
By the time the conversation was over, so was your food. You left enough money for the bill and a tip and stood up from the booth. “Okay, well, let’s go, we have a lot to do today boys” You said, adjusting your suit, unnecessarily dusting it off. You eyed Dean’s plate, the mess he made similar to how a child would eat. You would have laughed if you were in a more friendly situation. You looked at Sam and with a smile you said: “Don’t be late pretty boy, I’ll be waiting for you”
Then you turned around, politely nodded goodbye to Dean and started walking away, holding back a laugh. Sam stood still, stunned as he stared at you walked out the door, the bells above you ringing twice – one for when you pulled the door, the other after you let it smoothly close behind you. Dean was staring too, his bright green eyes filled with confusion. Once he turned to look at Sam he saw his younger brother completely zoned out, looking in the direction where you once were. He snapped his fingers in front of Sam’s face, who immediately looked at Dean.
“Pretty boy?” Dean questioned, holding back a smirk as Sam rolled his eyes.
“Dean…”
“She’s got you man. I get it, strong and intimidating women, I understand, I understand”
“That’s not it, she seems…off” Sam points out, looking at the door once more to make sure you wouldn’t come back and leaning closer to unnecessarily speak in a lower voice to Dean. “I think she might be an it, the monster we are looking for”
Dean raises an eyebrow. “Really? Why?”
“The way she’s acting is, I don’t know, weird”
“Look Sam I know you’re not used to having women hit on you but that doesn’t mean they are monsters” Dean teased, Sam gritted his teeth.
“Dean, I’m serious!”
“Okay, alright, we are going to investigate then” Dean said, raising his hands in fake surrender to his brother’s scolding. “But it doesn’t make sense to me. Didn’t we consider it to be a vengeful spirit?”
“Maybe, or maybe we are dealing with something completely different”
“Alright smart-ass, but if you’re wrong you owe me a six pack”
Sam scoffed but he wasn’t one to turn down any bet. He had thought your behavior was weird the moment you stepped foot in the diner. The questions you asked, the way you would constantly question his abilities, there was something going on and he could sense it. Besides, he liked betting with Dean, especially winning, so there was no way he wasn’t accepting his brother’s challenge.
“Deal” Sam said, hitting his palms against the table and standing up, ready to leave and go to the morgue. Dean followed his movements and stood up with a cheeky smile, taking out his wallet to pay for the food.
–
At the morgue, you waited about 5 minutes until they arrived. When they walked up to the entrance you were waiting at, Sam and Dean saw you in a much more serious state as you read through your notes and made annotations here and there. The noise of their footsteps made you look up and put your little notebook back in your pocket and place your pen behind your ear. You crossed your arms in front of your body and waited for them to get closer. Your heels were starting to hurt the bottom of your feet from standing too long in the same place and you were overwhelmed with different emotions – towards the men and yourself.
You weren’t necessarily scared of Sam and Dean, you were trained not to be, but it was never in your plans to be alone in a city with federal criminals, it would be downright ignorant not to be at least nervous with the situation. You were keeping yourself friendly without giving away any hint that you might know who they were, debating internally which would be the worst case: if you confronted them or stuck beside them for longer – what’s that say again? Friends close, enemies closer.
“Hey, Y/N” Sam called you and you turned your lips upwards in some-kind of a smile. He mirrored your expression and you caught his dimples again, your eyes wandering around his face. You broke the stare when Dean cleared his throat and, when you looked at him, he had his eyebrows furrowed, giving Sam a side-eye – more like a diagonal one, since, well, Sam was a big guy. In your own trance you hadn’t noticed how Sam was also looking at you like you were a beautiful piece of art – damn it, focus.
You also cleared your throat and that seemed to wake Sam up. “Hello Sam, Dean” You said, nodding to each “Shall we go inside? The longer we take the further the killer goes, come on” You turned your back to the and started walking inside the morgue. Dean waited until you walked further and held Sam by the elbow, making the youngest look at him in confusion.
“Stop that” Dean whisper-yelled.
“Stop what” Sam whispered back.
“Whatever your eyes are doing, I’m gonna puke if you keep that up”
Sam rolled his eyes. “You stop it, you’re reading too much into it”
“Hey, you are the one that said she might be dangerous and, honestly, you are kind of a monsterfu-”
“Dean!” Sam pushed his shoulder to shut him up.
“C’mon you were hypnotized, maybe that’s what she does, or you are just in love” Dean shrugged his shoulders, holding back a grin. He loved making Sam mad.
“Yeah, yeah, okay. Let’s go now or do you have any other stupid remarks?” Sam didn’t wait for an answer as he followed the direction you went in. Dean mocked his brother, mimicking Sam’s words to himself in a high pitched tone and went along.
You were already putting your gloves on when they came into the room, the dead bodies laying before you - or at least what was left of them. The lower part of the couple’s bodies was covered beneath the pale blue blankets and both torsos were exposed. It was an awful sight and, if you were about ten years younger, you would’ve puked. Everything was dilacerated, they were practically disfigured, their faces barely recognizable. Huge gashes adorned their bodies that even cleaned up still looked absolutely vile. Behind you, Dean hissed.
“Wow” He exclaimed.
“Yeah, very brutal, whoever did this wanted them to feel the pain” You said, snapping the latex gloves against your wrist and grabbing the file about the autopsy in your hands. You skimmed through the words and placed it back on the table where it previously was, turning back to the bodies to see Sam already looking through them, Dean putting on the blue gloves the mortuary offered. You approached Sam’s side and crossed your arms as you watched him work, his hands roaming through the deep rips on the skin, he seemed to come to the same conclusion you did. “It’s not a clean cut, see” You pointed out and he nodded, turning to you.
“Yeah, the skin is–”
“Ripped, not cut” You paused “How can someone do this and just…get on with their lives?” You thought out loud. You discreetly looked up to Sam’s face to see if he had any reaction to your words, to see if his face faltered when you mentioned how psychotic it would be to keep going after killing someone, to see something, anything…
His face was blank.
“You’d be shocked at what…people can do” Sam replied. He seemed to hesitate before saying ‘people’, a hard swallow, a thought behind his eyes and you marked that in your mind for later.
“Sam, I work in the FBI too you know, I’ve seen shit” Maybe you were harsh, maybe you were just defensive or maybe the years of being brought down by men in your field made you snap at his words when they weren’t that deep. He seemed to catch on to your aggressiveness and stumbled over his words to try and reword his phrase.
“No– I-I know it’s just– I mean–” He couldn’t get the words out. You softened at that, noticing your defensiveness was, in fact, exaggerated. You chuckled at him and waved your hand dismissively.
“I get what you meant” You said and he seemed to calm down, giving you a slight smile. Dimples. Again. You turned back to the bodies in front of you and reached for your pocket to get your notes. You started patting with your other hand for your pen through the other pockets and when you didn’t feel the distinctively cylindrical shape of the object you started to freak out. Where’d I leave it…
Sam noticed your squirming and when he saw the notebook in your hand he knew exactly what you were looking for. He held back a chuckle as he watched you try your hardest to remember where the pen was, the concentration in your eyes almost touchable.
“Hey” Sam called and you turned your head to him. He reached his hand up, close to your cheek and you could sense the heat radiating from his body. You froze in place as you thought that you were caught, that Sam’s intelligence overpowered yours and he figured out that you knew who he was. Well, you were wrong. Sam caught the pen you had put behind your ear between his fingers and slid it off of it, watching as your hair fell back into place. You wanted to bury yourself whole inside the ground as you felt heat spread through your face. “Here” He said, with a cheeky smile.
You took the pen out of his hand, your fingers brushing lightly against each other “Thanks” You mumbled. You started writing away what you figured from the autopsy but you couldn’t get your mind off of how close Sam had gotten. The warmth that he emitted was captivating, comforting even. How could you even think that? You were a professional, what the hell! You shouldn’t be feeling this way, you had a job to do, lives to save. Sam was a killer, you put killers in jail. That’s it.
“Okay so…” Dean spoke up, breaking your embarrassment “...We can discard any murder with weapons like guns or knives, those can’t do…this” He made a face and pointed towards the wounds. You nodded in agreement as you wrote it down. When you looked up at them again they were sharing a look, having a full conversation without even speaking. You weren’t a professional in facial expressions but you could read the room, you were being kept in the dark about something. You decided against confronting them, unneeded drama in the current settings because, indeed, the longer you took to solve this case, the closer the killer was to killing other people.
“So, I have no idea if you already did but I didn’t look further in the room where the murder happened. I think I’m going to go back to the house and see if the local cops missed anything” You said, not waiting for an answer as you pocketed your notebook again and started taking off your gloves. You didn’t request their company as you were, first, still trying to figure out why they were so adamant about solving this case, second, you had to figure this murder out, and third, you needed to find a perfect moment to confront both of them. “See you around agents”
“See ya” Dean waved at you as you walked away, Sam didn’t say anything. You knew they were going to follow you, you felt their silent conversations lingering in the air as you left the room, discarding your gloves. In your head you could see them communicating with lifting eyebrows and shrugging shoulders – they were so obvious; and predictable.
–
“We are going after her” Sam said to Dean after he heard you leave. Dean nodded as he started taking off his own gloves, side eyeing his brother. Dean wasn’t stupid – he only acted like it – he knew that there was more than one reason for Sam’s eagerness to follow you.
“So…” He started and Sam knew there was something he might not like hearing coming. “Are you going to play the brave soldier saving the damsel in distress?”
Sam stopped and looked at Dean, absolute confusion adorning his features. “What?”
“Man c’mon, you can’t be thinking that she is the monster now can you? Look, I did the tests while you were…pining over her” Sam opened his mouth to argue but Dean didn’t let him speak. “There was holy water in her drink at the diner, the utensils she was using were pure silver…”
Sam was shocked that his brother thought that quickly, he didn’t even notice…Okay, maybe he was infatuated by you a little too much.
“She could be a ghoul,” Sam argued as a last resort.
“Already looked her up, no one that has that beautiful face has died around here. I’ve looked through the FBI database too, she’s there” Dean said. Sam would be lying if he said he didn’t feel the tiniest bit of relief knowing that you were really human. You were, in fact, beautiful, stunning even. Maybe Dean was right, maybe he did like you, a lot.
“Guess I owe you that six pack then” Sam said.
“Hey, I get the six pack, you get the girl, seems like a fair trade” Dean said, raising his eyebrows tauntingly with a cheeky smile on his face. Sam chuckled and shook his head.
“Either way, we have to go after her because if this ghost decides she’s next on its list, we need to get there before she gets hurt” Sam said in all seriousness as he started walking out of the room, going towards the exit. Dean followed suit, the Impala keys already on his hand.
–
They arrived at the house a minute or two after you. You were waiting in the house’s living room as you heard the rumbling of the old car’s engine. You had your weapon ready and loaded as you heard them open and close the door of the house. As soon as they turned the corner, you lifted your gun.
“Stay right fucking there! Don’t you dare move or else I’ll actually kill you, for good this time!” You screamed at them, gun in hand pointed towards Dean’s head. They widened their eyes and stopped all their movement. Sam opened his mouth to try and talk and you shifted the gun to point at him instead. He shut his mouth again and you saw his Adam's apple bobbing as he swallowed nervously. You were fuming, anger making your hands shake lightly.
“Did you really think you were going to fool me? Who do you think you are– Better, who do you think I am?” They stood as still as a rock. “Sam and Dean Winchester” You said their names, venom running through your tongue as you did, your gun pointing respectively at each. “You better start talking or I’m popping your heads off, speak!”
“Okay, okay, look we can explain” Sam started.
“You fucking better”
“We are not dead” He said and you looked at him like he was stupid. “Me and my brother we faked our deaths but we had a reason, a much bigger reason”
“You killed people”
“We didn’t, at least not intentionally, we do the exact opposite, we save people Y/N”
“How? The deaths are there, if you are telling me the truth and really save people you do a terrible job at that” You countered. You admitted you only said this to get under their skin because if anyone knew that saving everyone was impossible was you, a federal agent.
“Put the gun down and we can talk” Dean spoke up, talking to you calmly and moving his hands slowly to try and reason with you. You were reluctant but something in their eyes, their actions towards you didn’t indicate any imminent danger. Maybe you were being stupid and, at the end, you’d be lying in a ditch, lifeless, left there to rot but you wanted to give them a chance.
“If you try anything funny I’ll claw your eyes out with my bare hands” You said and Dean, even shocked, nodded slowly – you were exaggerating but you felt the need to. You sighed and put your gun back in the waistband of your pants and saw the boys breathe in a deep breath of relief.
Sam and Dean exchanged those looks again and finally looked at you. Sam was the one you wanted to talk to, you felt deep, deep down that he was going to tell you the truth and that he was actually a good guy, that all that he did until now wasn’t just an act and he was really nice.
“Me and Dean we…We hunt monsters”
Well, now your hopes are shattered. What the fuck.
You just looked at him like he was clinically insane and waited for him to continue.
“I know it sounds crazy” Because it is “And it probably is but it’s the truth, we don’t think whatever killed that couple was a human, this is why there’s no DNA, not a single clue and why the case is hard. I assume you were assigned it because you are smart and a good agent but this is not your kind of case”
“It’s ours” Dean added and Sam agreed with a nod.
You were dumbfounded. They sounded so serious as they explained to you about the tons of different supernatural beings that existed, things you only ever heard of in fictional books and horror movies. Halfway through the talk you looked physically sick, your face pale and eyes dissociated completely and Sam quickly got a chair, ushering you to sit down. He was looking at you with such a guilty expression, like he felt bad for lying to you.
Once they stopped talking you spent a good five minutes absorbing it all as you stared at your hands folded over your lap. You thought you knew things, you thought you could solve everything, that all you needed to do was analyze everything to its minute details and you’d find a solution. Truth is, you were completely oblivious all this long, so many things that you had no idea existed causing trouble around the world, things worse than humans could ever be. You were an idiot.
“Y/N, are you okay?” Sam asked after a while, making you look up at him. “I know it’s a lot to process…” He said, carefully laying a hand over your shoulder in an attempt to comfort you.
“I’m going to be fine” You said harshly. Sam felt the slight disappointment in your voice and frowned as he looked down at you. He had seen tons of different reactions to ‘the talk’ but this one was one of the worst, where the person feels upset with themselves for not knowing about this sooner, the kind of reaction he saw mostly on authority figures such as cops and federal agents like yourself.
You stood up and his hand fell from your shoulder. You needed to make this right, paranormal or not, this was still your case and you were solving it one way or another.
“Show me how you do it” You said, turning to look at Sam. The phrase got Dean’s attention as well as a sudden tension fell upon the room. Sam looked at you with confusion “This case is still mine, I want to learn how to get rid of…whatever killed that couple”
Sam exchanged looks with his brother. “I don’t think this is a good idea Y/N, you can get hurt” He said. You rolled your eyes and stepped closer to him, less than a foot between the two of you.
“How many times do I have to tell you, I’m a federal agent, you don’t get to tell me I’m going to get hurt when I literally hunt and kill people if needed” You said angrily pointing your finger at him accusingly “Your little Ghostbusters roleplay doesn’t scare me”
“Okay, can you two stop? Let’s get out of here and go study about the house to see if we find anything about someone who died here who might want revenge” Dean said, approaching and looking between the two of you. “Please”
–
After spending two hours in the nearby library you finally found something. The one responsible for the killings was someone named Alicia Meadows who died in the late 60s, not little kids – it seemed like even the own urban legend the locals passed around was wrong. She was a woman who lived in that house with her husband and kids. One night she found her husband in their bed with another woman and went crazy, killing them both with a shotgun and then shooting herself. Ever since then she’d been killing couples who stayed there, the trauma of the cheating made her assume that everyone who laid in that bed on the same date, every two years, she found her husband and his mistress was also having an affair.
You three soon found out where she was buried and, after the brothers explained to you and made you swear not to arrest them for grave violation, you were driving to the cemetery.
As Dean was digging up the casket you stood beside Sam. “Do you guys do this everyday?”
Sam looked at you with a smile. “No, sometimes we behead vampires too”
You looked at him wide eyed and chuckled. He laughed with you, his face looking ten times more beautiful under the moonlight and the fucking dimples, the damn dimples. Silence fell between you as the sounds of the night – and Dean’s digging – took over. You wanted to talk more, you wanted to know more about Sam because the little you thought you knew was actually a lie. He was nice and, according to the FBI files…
“You went to law school?” You asked him. He sighed. Well damn Y/N so much for breaking the ice, good job.
“I did but…I went back to hunting soon after, you can’t run from this type of job you know?” He chuckled dryly. It was clear that was a sensitive subject for him to talk about.
“If it helps, you would’ve made a good lawyer” You smiled at him. “Besides, you look great in a suit”
He seemed stunned for a few seconds, were you flirting with him? He didn’t get to figure out because Dean made a dramatic pained sound as he straightened his back, breaking the casket open. The putrid smell of death rose and you scrunch your nose. Sam helped Dean get out of the hole and started showering the bones in alcohol and salt and you watched as Dean threw his lighter in making huge flames rise up. You jumped when it happened out of shock and Sam held your shoulders so you wouldn’t fall back, the flames roared loudly with what seemed to be the anger of the woman.
Dean started gathering their stuff and you turned to Sam. “So, is this it?”
“Yeah…pretty simple actually” Sam shrugged. He looked at the fire and you could see the flames dancing in his eyes. You found Sam handsome ever since you laid your eyes on him but now, after a whole day by his side, the light touches you shared throughout the day and the care he showed towards you you wondered if it’d be too bad if you kissed him right now.
“Sam” You called him lowly and he turned to you. You stepped closer and you could see his hands clenching and unclenching by his side, as if he was holding back the urge to touch you. Your faces were inches apart and you could now see every little detail about him. The light stubble that adorned his face and the blush of red in his cheeks that you didn’t know if it was because of the heat of the fire or because you were this close.
You smiled at him and in that moment Sam couldn’t hold himself back. He closed the distance between the two of you as one of his hands cradled your cheek and the other was gently placed on your waist.
You let one of your hands place itself on his neck as you reciprocated the kiss. It was electric and warm, his soft lips over yours felt like a sweetness you didn’t know you were craving to taste. Your heart was beating fast and Sam slowly dragged your body closer to his with the help of the hand he placed on your waist.
When you pulled away you slowly opened your eyes to look straight into his and let out a stupid giggle – like a teenager after kissing her crush. Sam chuckled back as his thumb caressed your cheek lovingly.
“I've wanted to do this ever since the diner” He admitted and you bit back a smile.
“Really?” You asked.
“Really”
The moment was interrupted when Dean honked the Impala, impatiently waiting for you two to finish whatever you were doing so he could go back to the room and finally sleep. Sam showed him the finger as Dean yelled a curse back making you laugh at their stupid teasing.
“Let’s go Sam, Dean’s impatient. We can finish our talk at the motel” You said, your words full of innuendo making Sam turn back to you. You knew you got him when you felt his hand squeeze your waist for a moment before letting go.
“Oh yeah?” He said with a grin, looking down at your mouth and back at your eyes. You nodded.
“Yeah”

Okay, but in retrospective, that moment where All Might reads a script on his first class that's used for comedic purposes and his kinda clumsy personality actually says good things of him as a teacher:
1. He planned and scheduled the class: all teachers should do that. You can't just show up without a planned class to, well, classes. You have to plan the topic, how to teach it, strategies, activities an all that. I know that because I'm studying to be a teacher and we get told that at least once in every teaching-related subject.
2. He knew he could have trouble remembering the explanation for the dynamic from the top of his head and brought a script in case he needed it: he's aware of his own shortcomings and not only not so prideful as to be ashamed of them, but will also search ways to compensate them. This is just common sense but no one wants a teacher who puts their pride over acknowledging their flaws/limits. That's how teachers who think they're always right are.
3. His plan wasn't that bad and could have been more useful if there was more reflection afterwards or theory to back up the experience: There are learning theories that are based on having the students experience things and then reflect on what they just went through. The theory side was weak but he did asked the students their own thoughts on the matches. He should have inquired more and ask to other students too (you know, not only have Momo answer everything). The exercise itself could have worked well as a diagnostic activity. Also, estimulating the students to think is a good thing.
Now, on his fails:
1. He should have set better limits at the start of the activity. I don't remember if he didn't, but if he did, he should have put his foot down on not letting the very dangerous lethal attack go on. Not just tell Bakugou not to use it, but also stop the activity and, well, physically stop him. Not "but Izuku could learn from this". He is his highschool teacher, the physical well-being should be prioritized about a dubioud dangerous "learning" opportunity. Not "but he is just a teacher. Stopping a student with a bomb isn't his job". It's a fictional world with heroes and he is a hero. He is the hero. He could and he should. "But he can't use violence against his students, right?" No, he can't. But he could just, you know, pull Bakugou from the collar take off his guantlet, for example.
2. Again, a better reflection/theory afterwards. I mean, yeah, time limit, but he could have just told them to come up with three things well done and badly done from the overall matches for the next class. Would have make them to think more on strategies and procedures for future activities/hero work.
3. He should have informed that one of his students tried to kill another. Not if he dodges, my ass. That's like, a crime. That's at least assault, sir. They have permission to spare with quirks, not to try to kill or maim each other.
That's about it, I think? I haven't watched BNHA in ages but he's not as bad of a teacher as I remembered. He's just a rookie teacher who should learn to give better advice.
In general, tho, UA is just shady as hell. I mean, if a teacher had told me that they're allowed to do whatever they want, I would walk off the class and switch schools immediately.
And why does Aizawa sleep in class? I don't care if there's no actual class scheduled, you are the only adult supervision. You can't just sleep there. I don't care if you're overworked because you have two jobs, jobs that require supervising other people's well-being are not the kind that you can take without at least some commitment. You wouldn't let a medic sleep through a surgery, right? Then you shouldn't let a teacher come ready to sleep while he should be seeing a group of, may I remember you, superpowered teenagers. I don't care if it's a "logical ruse", it's still rude and a waste of their money and time.
And don't get me started with the "potential" bullshit. You know how much of bullshit that is? I mean, if your math teacher just went and tell you to don't keep coming to their class at the start of the year because he can't teach you because "you don't have potential" for maths, wouldn't you think they're full of crap? First, a teacher is not a psychic, they can't know the extent of your capacities on the first day of classes. Second, a teacher's job is not to discard those who doesn't fit their own standards, it's to try to motivate the students to learn and try to pass the knowledge and skills for that. Third, Aizawa is not the head authority on pro-hero-ing nor has he the right to set the standards for what the profession recquires. Fourth, "potential" is too abstract and not a valid reason to expell or grade someone. He's like that one literature or art teacher who fails students because they don't agree or don't like their work when they should be passing or failing them based on whether or not they learned the skills and theory needed.
Lastly, saying you fail/expell a student because they don't have potential is such an easy excuse to be lazy and don't try to teach them or admit you failed to teach them.
Anyways, this post was not about him or UA being shady af. It was about All Might being actually not such a bad teacher as people think, just an inexperienced rookie teacher.
...At least on the first few seasons, I stopped reading the manga after Eri's rescue arc. I think the last I read was when Izuku fought Gentle and The Brava? I didn't like where it was going so I dropped it.
#all might gets too much critics for that one exercise and reading a script#he should be criticized for other things. not that#losing ofa time when he knew he had a compromise before hand? yep#maybe not letting inko into his offer to izuku? she should have been informed afterwards just in case#I'm not going into afo bc he thought the guy was dead so *shrugs*#aizawa on the other hand#can you tell I have a bone to pick with him?#people compare him to kakashi and call him a good teacher#as if kakashi wasn't a bad teacher himself#just. you know. kakashi didn't choose to be a teacher#he's still a bad teacher#i like kakashi but that's the truth#anti aizawa#not tagging him bc i don't want to ruin his fans dashboards#anyways#bnha#all might#yagi toshinori

Ik I said the Doll one in a reblog but shhhh
Evil AU ideas ig?? Idk I just woke up from a nap my mind is going in circles
Evil!Doll:
-Never committed a murder in her life
- you know what? In fact shes Hemophobic (or whatever the equivalent term is for oil instead of blood) and will faint at the sight of oil
- Her worst crime was stealing Evil!Uzis pink cat eraser and glitter pen
Evil!Lizzy:
- Not popular
- not a cheerleader
- is the nerd outcast instead of the one bullying need outcasts
Evil!Thad:
- Hates sports
- Isn't as nice and chill and cool :( he's kinda an asshole instead
- despite that he's secretly s coward, when the DDs attack he hides instead of trying to fight
Evil!Cyn:
- NOT POSESSED BY THE SOLVER?! Real!!
- we don't see a lot of her as herself, but instead of her and N having a caring sibling relationship they instead have a rivalry & argue a lot
- Instead of being kinda shy/hiding behind N and clinging to him like in Ep5, she's instead overly confident
Evil!Absolute Solver
- Not Evil
- Instead of destroying planets they either fix them or create new artificial planets
- Hasn't killed Tessa!
Evil!Tessa:
- Not dead (yay)
- Hasn't actually rescued any of the manor drones, her parents did instead (in this Tessa would dislike them whilst her parents like them)
- Annoyed by N
HOHOHO
Some of these ideas are canon! Let's see 👀
Evil!Doll:
-She is very talkative and maybe a little jealous of Evil!Uzi since she is the sweetest person in the class and with whom everyone gets along well while Doll only appears to be good, because she is hiding something... (I still need to think about this)
Evil!Lizzy:
-Yep!, that's correct with her!
Evil!Thad:
-Yes too!, he is the bully until DDs appears just to hide!
Evil!Cyn:
-Originally brought to Tessa being affected by the AS, however she begins to regain consciousness. -As she regained consciousness and control of her body she became more confident. -Has a certain rivalry with N, at certain points she makes him look bad on purpose. -Tessa's favorite drone. -More will be added-
Evil!Absolute Solver:
-Created by humans as some form of hacking the JCJenson company! -The AS was implanted in Cyn to cause a disaster and boycott the company, but now Cyn is aware of this and thinks that humans only want to kill each other using other drones, she will prove them wrong, and will end them... humans should never have given uncontrollable powers to an IA -More will be added-
Evil!Tessa:
-She's alive!! -Yep! -Her parents brought the drones for her to give her more company (although they are both loving and care for her a lot), Tessa still had to continue learning to live with other people (in this case the drones), but J was somewhat lazy, V was very uncontrolled, N looked very tormented and Cyn… she was different, she was very good to Tessa, but it was just a mask. -Yep, was annoyed by N (caused by V and Cyn)

Shampoo is my least favorite character in Ranma ½ and I’m tired of pretending she's not

Listen, I tried to be a girls girl, we all know all the “rivals” in Ranma suck and are all terrible people but for most of them I’m able to just look past it and see the comedy. I think both Ukyo and Kodachi are hilarious and I love it when they show up but I just couldn’t force myself to feel the same way about Shampoo. One of the things I actually liked about Ukyo and Kodachi is they don’t love her but a lot of the time they’re able to be chill with Akane. But since Shampoo doesn’t care about Ranma’s feelings and knows he won’t love her she takes to going after the one thing that is stopping her from forcing Ranma to marry her, Akane. She takes Ukyo’s manipulation, Ryoga’s obsession, Kuno’s creepiness, Kodachi’s aggression, multiplies that by 10, adds psychopath and boom you have the fan favorite character. I don’t find her funny, I don’t find her cute, I don’t find her entertaining… I just find her annoying.
I was honestly just able to ignore all this but after spending some time on the internet I learned more and more about the fans of Ranma and Shampoo. Of course, of course, of course, you can ship whoever you like, I don’t care, I mean I’ll have like way less respect for you but I honestly don’t care. The thing that pisses me of is when people bring down Akane in support of their ship. Obviously Akane’s not perfect but she is by far one of the nicest people on the show. Definitely more than any of Ranma’s other fiancées. If you think Akane hitting Ranma sometimes because he is being a jerk is worse than Shampoo actively forcing Ranma into marriage, not giving one thought about his feelings, using all kinds of different magic and manipulation then also on top of that being an outright murderous person to Akane then you need to stop being blinded by the cute little chinese girl who you insist can do no wrong. Also if you really want to get into it Shampoo also hits Ranma along with Akane.
I can’t recall a time off the top of my head (now i'm sure there is) where Shampoo actually cared for Ranma without having some ulterior motive. If you gave her a deal to kill Akane and marry Ranma but he would never be happy again, she would take it in a heartbeat. I just can not see any perspective where Shampoo would be a better choice for Ranma. That boy started crushing on Akane the second they met and definitely hasn’t stopped. He definitely cares for Shampoo as a person but I don’t think he likes her as a person. I mean I think Mousse needs some new glasses because those are clearly not good enough if you think Shampoo is actually worth anything.
Yeah Akane’s not some super strong and amazing martial artists. Sorry she didn’t grow up in some ancient place and has been training since she was an itty bitty baby like all these other people. Thats a part of her character. I heard someone say shes not good enough or good for Ranma because shes not focusing on her training enough and too much on school unlike Shampoo. What? And again again again again opinions opinions opinions opinions you can like or dislike whoever you like… but… if you dislike Akane while also praising all the other female characters… then of course you're entitled to your opinion but like get outa here.
When a female character is hated that doesn’t deserve it I am here, and if history repeats itself with the remake you people don’t know the crimes I will commit. You know a comment I saw on I think it was Shampoo and Ranma’s wiki, “I’d gladly take her over that bitch Akane”. I’m gonna be real, that's what got me fuming. Did Akane kill your parents? I don’t know man, I’m just a teenage girl, I should be studying for school but instead I do this in my free time. I know a lot of people just can’t write women but I feel like a lot of the time it’s not that the women are written poorly it’s that you go into every show, book, movie, manga, comic, anything with this perception and automatic response to hate on female characters and defend this by saying they’re poorly written. RIP Akane, RIP Sakura, RIP Katara, RIP literally any live action female superhero, RIP Rogue from ‘97, and RIP all my ladies out there.

smth i hate abt hori is how easy it would’ve been to use the lov to show how hero society lets people slip through the cracks as a result creates villains, but he never fully expands on the idea.
jin’s parents died when he was in *middle school* MIDDLE SCHOOL! which means he could’ve been anywhere between 12-14. and then because of a motorcycle accident that *wasn’t his fault* he got a criminal record, was fired from his job, and became homeless. and then he just spiraled from there.
toga is biologically wired be to fascinated and obsessed with blood. but instead of helping her, her parents are disgusted by her and force her to suppress herself until she inevitably snaps.
dabi is a product of his fathers abuse and it was allowed to go on for decades because his father is a famous pro hero
compress is just an unapologetic evil bastard tho and i love him for that
This is also one of my problems with horis writing!!! Villains in MHA all had wasted potential and I absolutely hated the way their arcs went!
I guess the only arc that I can semi agree on is toga himiko's arc to a certain extent but that even has wasted potential that I talk about down below 👇. I discuss what togas arc could of been and different directions her character could of went.
In my opinion himiko was already introduced as somewhat irredeemable. The first time we see her we are told that she killed 6 people known so far and on around 5 of them she performed blood letting. Also her first victim she literally sliced him up and started drinking his blood (some including I theorise that she maybe even ate some of his body parts). I think it adds to the story simply because togas love or idea of love is based on her becoming that person and having parts of them on her whether that be literal or metaphorical.
I personally like the idea that toga is an irredeemable victim. Toga is someone who was failed by the system and had went through a lot for sure but the actions she did were also things that she should be accounted for ( I talk more about toga and what makes her different from lady nagant in another post). In the end I personally enjoy seeing toga be a humanised not redeemed victim of society that has also commited many crimes.
When it comes to other members of the league I feel like they could of all had better arcs in general.
I remember talking to @doodlegirl1998 and she suggested that twice and togas characters could of very much switched roles as twice is a character who parallels more with ochako (both struggling financially) and hawks would get more repercussions for killing a child (toga). However, I also do like twices death but I do have some problems like how I wish his death would of been thoroughly explored and we see how it impacted everyone or we should of gotten more from twice himself in general.
Dabi deserved better and I really would of wanted him to have a redemption arc, receive some concequences but end up with the todoroki family WITH ENJI DEAD (I HATE HIM!). I hated the whole Dabi always had an ice quirk and that he was just the second choice, always the second choice all along.
Shigaraki and just how much AFO was involved ruined everything for me also Shigaraki knowing about AFO was a horrible twist which made shigarakis characterisation even more inconsistent. I would of liked to see a Shigaraki redemption where he himself works towards one by starting to question AFO and get into the leader role a whole lot more while using the MVA to his advantage to get information, resources and more.
Spinner could of ended up being the better stain and learned form stains mistakes while also changing with shigaraki. I also feel like he needed more build up with his own counterpart like shoji and a thorough explanation and development of the whole hetamorphis discrimination thing.
Compress was evil for fun and it's fun to have those types of characters. One thing that I really would of liked to explore is compress's and magne's interactions. I feel like their arcs could of been interwoven (maybe I ship them a little who knows 🤷♀️) magne's death should of had more substance to it and all it just felt lacking and compress's disappearance the same.
Now when it comes to minor villains Iam a huge advocate for MUSTARD!! AND GIVING US A MUSTARD REDEMPTION 👇👇👇
I also think that muscular and moonfish should of obviously went to prison but that this could of been used as a way to shake the leagues trust for shigaraki. If any of the league members were to end up in jail would shigaraki help them? Maybe he won't as he didn't do that to muscular or moonfish or maybe he has stated to care for them more and he would as he is growing into that leadership role.
I would have it so that the Dr garaki is just an evil menace who starts to become much more greedy and manic causing AFO's death and going insane.
Kurogiri or kurooboro in this case would go through a different type arc that's down below.
In the end all of the villain characters or characters that don't up hold the status quo are victims of society. I think your ask could also apply to the hero characters that are also harmed by the system like hawks and izuku.

There’s a lot of talk about the overblot boys deserving worse than they got—mainly Malleus—and I agree. However, I think the cuffs should go to Azul. (And by extension the Leech Twins.)
Azul had been harming people way before his overblot and tricking students into dodgy contracts even before school. He then used these contract to steal magic, force people into labor, and then had Jade and Floyd beat them into submission when they argued (in the manga at least). All these actions were premeditated and done with a clear head and, again, he did this for years. Honestly, his actions were only slightly worse than Fellow as both are basically enslaving others.
At the very least, they could have had Azul’s business suffer and have him trying to restore his good name as the series go on.
Yes, let's talk about Azul for a bit, shall we?
Azul is presented like some sort of crime boss. He takes advantage of people to propegate his business and scheme his way to success and has little to no regard for how it will affect his "business partners" because he can just tell them to read the fine print. In this way he basically hazes the freshmen, gets then indebted to him and uses them as leverage to not only steal Yuu's home but manipulate them into committing actual crimes--stealing the photo from the museum. Yes, the twins are complicit as well because they do their best to prevent Yuu from being able to actually complete their end of the bargain. Azul's business model is to be as selfish, greedy, coniving, dishonest, and manipulative as possible in the pursuit of more power and control. He's a fundamentally bad person. No one worth their salt can take what he says at face value. For all the grief he gave people before and during Book 3, Azul's punishment is essentially not attaining his goal of opening a satellite lounge and erasing all traces of his past self the way he wanted to.
He DEFINITELY deserved to take more punches than that.
The truly sad thing is that the leadup to his Overblot sets up the perfect karma for Azul, but the story doesn't make the most of it. In theory, Azul losing all of his contracts is EXACTLY the kind of comuppance he deserves. Azul built everything he has on his magic and contracts. We're talking YEARS of effort put into those things. Without the contracts he should be floundering still. He should be unable to run the lounge as efficiently because he has fewer indentured workers. He should have certain permissions revoked because he got them while he had Crowley under his thumb (hypothetical/headcanon). He should have people out to get revenge on him regularly for taking advantage of them. He should be set back YEARS for all the stock he built up in those golden scrolls and continuously struggle moving forward as a result of losing so much of what he built up. If the story were written this way, I would say that Azul's punishment would suit his crimes, and maybe with another extra punch to the face, he could have gotten what he deserved.
Unfortunately, that's not the story we got. Instead we have Azul treating everything as a minor setback and learning no lessons that would trigger a need for character reflection and growth. He has no motivation to try and improve himself as a person, and as such Azul's character arc is nonexistent. Like most of (if not all) the other Overblotters, Azul should have gotten much much worse for his misdeeds.
[No, Azul learning a thing or two about self-acceptance isn't the kimd of character development we're talking about here.]
Thank you for your take.
(And thank you for the breath of fresh air that was talking about a different Overblotter's writing.)

More Resident Evil Incorrect Quotes for my Bby’s <3

Leon: All snacks are gone.
Y/N: I AM LITERALLY RIGHT HERE?!
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Leon: My heart is guarded but like… very poorly. The kind of guards that would let 3 kids in a trench coat into an R rated movie.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Jill, watching Chris and Carlos fight: Are you sure they should be fighting? What if they get hurt?
Leon, not bothered by the chaos: It’s fine. They’re too evenly matched to hurt each other.
Jill: Then... who’s the strongest out of you three?
Chris: Leon.
Carlos: Leon.
Leon: Me.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Y/N: Yesterday, I overheard Wesker saying “Are you sure this is a good idea?” and Ada replying “Trust me,” and I have never moved from one room to another so quickly in my life.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Wesker: You’re kind of a pushover, aren’t you, Leon?
Leon: …I’m sorry.
Wesker: See!? That’s exactly what I’m talking about!
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Carlos, tearing up the room: Where are they?
Carlos, looking under a pillow: Who moved them? Who moved my children?
Carlos: Somebody moved my M&M's, and now I am going to start killing.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Luise: I'm hot, I’m tall, I'm gay, and I'm on my theatre kid arc.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Y/N: I have so much energy, I want to run a marathon or commit a crime... which should I do?
Leon: Please don’t get arrested.
Y/N: No promises! <3
Jill: Why not both? Get creative!
Y/N: Wonderful suggestion, thank you.
Leon: Please don’t encourage them, Jill.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Leon: So, according to my university, it is, quote, “my responsibility if there is an internet outage to contact the faculty and the department.”
Leon: Now, if you’re a critical thinker like me, you might be wondering one thing.
Leon: HOW THE FUCK AM I SUPPOSED TO EMAIL THE DEPARTMENT?!?!?!
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Chris, learning how to drive: What happens if I press the gas and the brake at the same time?
Y/N: The car takes a screenshot.
Wesker: Please pull over. I’m driving now.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Wesker: Y/N, we tried things your way.
Y/N: No, we didn't.
Wesker: I did it in my head and it didn't work.
🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷✨🌷
Ada: Ah, yes. Here we have a beautiful couple...
Y/N: I really care about your feelings!
Leon: I really care about YOUR feelings!
Ada, turning their head: ...and then there's the disaster couple...
Jill: YOU NEED TO PAY MORE ATTENTION TO ME INSTEAD OF BEING AT THE HOSPITAL!
Carlos: I WOULDN'T HAVE TO SPEND SO MUCH TIME AT THE HOSPITAL IF YOU STOPPED INSISTING ON FIGHTING EVERYONE WHO COMES WITHIN A FIVE FOOT RADIUS OF YOU!

One Hell of an Unpopular Opinion #07
I think how the Seven Deadly Sins are respected should vary depending on how sinful they are. _________
I'm going to be completely honest here. I think the Hellaverse's version of the Seven Deadly Sins are jokes due to how far off they are from their Demonolgy & Theology counterparts. With that being said, something the Hellaverse did get right is how Lust and Gluttony are often considered to be the two weakest sins out of the seven.
Lust is depicted as the weakest of the Sins because it's TYPICALLY the least malicious. As when people hear about a crime related to lust the majority will think of an infidelity having been committed. Does infidelity suck? Absolutely, you were cheated on by your partner with someone who either knew of the situation or with someone who’s in the same boat as you and didn’t know until it was too late. However, I would hope that most of us would rather hear/learn about one of our friends or family members having a partner who cheated on them over other lust filled crimes.
As for why Gluttony is seen as the second weakest out of the Sins would probably be how common it is to commit it and, again, it’s less malicious especially compared to sins like Wrath, Envy, and Pride. Think about it, you probably know at least one person in your family with a really bad habit related to overindulgence whether it be a raging alcoholic, a chainsmoker, a drug addict, or someone with Binge Eating Disorder aka BED (yes, Binge Eating Disorder is an actual diagnosis that many people have and struggle with in their day to day lives as it can cause them to eat excessive amounts of food even when they’re not hungry.) The point is, you likely know someone who has some kind of bad habit that they need to break and should get help so that they don’t end up digging themselves an early grave.
Now, back to my original point, having the Seven Deadly Sins be respected by least sinful to most sinful would make it to where we can not only get a good idea of what the Sins are like before we meet them but more importantly it establishes order and coherent world building which is what the Hellaverse’s hierarchy lacks the most. If I were to order and rewrite the Hellaverse’s Seven Deadly Sins it would be Asmodeus, Beelzebub, Belphegor, Mammon, Satan, Leviathan, and Lucifer.
That way lower class demons could be shown being less tense around Ozzie and Bee as they’re more approachable and sociable compared to other Sins like Satan and Leviathan. From the one image we’ve seen from the Hellaverse’s Satan, I can only assume he’s a tough bastard who would rather settle things in a good old fashioned brawl compared to negotiation.
As for why I think a lot of demons would fear Leviathan more so than Satan is because of most how religious texts describe him as being some kind of giant sea monster (depending on the religion some say he’s a hydra, water dragon, or a water serpent) that could only be slain by God as there used to be several Leviathans but when God realized how destructive they were, he killed all of them except one. If God hadn’t interfered, the many Leviathans would’ve destroyed all of creation.
So why did I place Leviathan lower than Lucifer when he sounds more evil than he does? Well, the answer lies within their intended purpose. Leviathan’s intended purpose was to destroy all who cross his path whereas SAMAEL’S intended purpose was to HELP not to HINDER. Leviathan was released into the ocean and was told, “Annihilate anything and everything.” Meanwhile, Samael was created and lived in Heaven as an Archangel who was instructed to assist God’s creations by watching over them, teaching them, disciplining them, and protecting them. That’s all he had to do but he threw away his title, his dignity, and LITERAL HEAVEN by letting his own hubris get the better of him. Truly, pride goeth before a fall (and apparently before a future name change.) _________
I thought that it'd only be fitting for my 7th opinion to be about the Hellaverse's Seven Deadly Sins. Also I don't hate the Hellaverse's canon Lucifer but I do think his character is a massive disappointment. There are ways to make a dastardly character likable without infantilizing or woobifiying them.

Ben 10: Fixing Sir George

One of the more divisive characters in Ultimate Alien was Sir George, the original Forever Knight. On one hand, he’s an interesting parallel to Ben and is one of the few antagonists to sympathize with Ben’s frustrations at feeling stifled. On the other hand he ordered a purge that got Pierce, and possibly dozens more aliens, killed and was never called out for it. Pierce’s death wasn’t even mentioned again till Omniverse during the controversial Rooters arc which feels disrespectful as he was part of the team since the Highbreed arc in Alien Force and no one acknowledges him. Some of the issues with the final arc of UAF could be blamed on the passing of Dwayne McDuffie with the crew not wanting to revise any drafts out of respect for him and the production of Omniverse taking up importance as most of the crew stayed on despite the difference in tone/artstyle.
I think McDuffie intended to give George more of a morally grey character arc akin to Reinrassig from AF but his death and the messy production of the final season may have left us with the disappointing Dagon arc. The ideas for a good story were there with Ben’s arc about ultimate power and control and his conflict with Julie over using alien technology to change the world but it fell flat compared to what came before. The Highbreed arc was the best of the UAF era, AF season 3 was the result of CN meddling and forcing them to change the story but it still had some decent episodes. Aggregor and Ultimate Kevin had rushed endings and the latter is divisive because of Ben’s decision to kill Kevin but they were filled with world building, passion and storytelling. Dagon was supposed to be the second arc of AF but was pushed back due to executive meddling and it turned out to be the weakest of UAF.
There are two ways one could rectify the issues with George’s character. Either have him be the one Forever Knight who doesn’t agree with the purge to show he has some morals or give him an arc where he learns he was wrong to be xenophobic towards aliens. The former would make him more heroic and one could still use the idea of him having outdated views compared to Ben without him attempting genocide. The latter would hold him accountable for the purge and force him to learn empathy for aliens. It seems like the writers wanted to sweep the purge under the rug as George received Ascalon from Azmuth and respects him. If better written, it could have been a commentary on how racists will have token minorities they respect and how they will steal or appropriate their creations for their agenda. The Forever Knights steal alien tech and use it to promote xenophobia.
youtube
Continuing with the idea of George being a morally grey character, have Ben call him out for the purge and Pierce’s death during their confrontation. Ben had worked with Pierce to defeat Animo in AF and showed concern for the Plumber kids after they had their powers drained by Kevin in UA. It is odd that they never addressed Pierce’s death. Maybe Ben could attempt to change George’s mind like he did with Reinrassig by forcing George to ponder his beliefs. It would also be nice if we got to see George being heroic outside of the final battle with Dagon by having him help people and giving him a more compassionate side. Maybe show him helping an alien outside of Ben’s team or Azmuth as part of his arc of unlearning his bigotry. This would make Ben calling him a friend feel earned. Reiny unlearned his prejudice and helped stop the Highbreed invasion which makes Ben calling him a friend actually justified unlike George.
Sir George had potential as a character and parallel to Ben but it’s hard to ignore that he was the reason we had an episode titled “The Purge” and was the reason the Forever Knights committed all the crimes they did in the OS-UA. Rather than ignore his actions, the writers should have either changed it so Driscoll ordered the genocide and George reigns him in as a way of showing he’s different from the others or made him more of a morally grey character who learns he was wrong. Have his motivation for the purge be that he needed to rally an army to fight Dagon which mirrors irl politicians who align themselves with hate groups to win elections. UA’s final arc tackled a lot of concepts relating to irl issues like xenophobia starting with Prisoner 775 but it didn’t quite stick the landing and a few rewrites plus expansion on character arcs or motivations would have improved it.

Same anon as before, throwing in this ramble into your asks, hope you don't mind (feel free to ignore and delete if you do tho)
Things aren't really adding up with how Milgram works.
K, so, those voted guilty at trial 2 apparently got restrained. So, again, how the fuck did Haruka die?
But also, remember the Mahiru trial 2 sprite? Standing. On a leg with a cast. And yet, during her voice drama, we literally hear her get inside with a wheelchair, and she's mentioned to be using one (until her condition worsened so much due to Shidou's "care" that she ended up bedridden). So where's the wheelchair on the sprite?
Tbh, I feel like the way sprites get drawn is more for symbolism purpose rather than them being actually restrained like that.
Ann ee ways, this trial I'll be voting everyone inno.
Yuno and Kazui didn't do anything wrong throughout the previous trials, Fuuta's case is very common (in Milgram fandom especially, ironically enough) so I feel like it's hypocritical for us to vote him guilty and to make him suffer and spiral even more, and Muu has clearly not changed at all so punishing her through voting is not gonna help and she should face the consequences for her actions outside of milgram. Kotoko and Amane are unique cases, but I feel like they should be voted inno too.
For Amane, we are to blame for how she turned out. Voting her guilty first trial, when her MV showed her helping a cat and then getting punished for practicing medicine, sent a very clear message to her that "medicine = bad, if you help people, you deserve punishment". And then when we got more detailed visual of what she went through in next trial, we voted her inno, which sent a message "things you were taught are correct and you should indeed punish the ones who go against the teaching". It's no wonder she ended up killing Shidou, especially if it turned out that Mahiru died before he did, which means Amane would consider her early death to be his fault.
Kotoko, there's not much to do about her. We first judged for her crime alone, and that is it. Based on what we saw, she killed someone who did, indeed, deserve to die (and that crime already was judged outside of milgram). Her actual reason for being in Milgram is, without a doubt, someone else's death, who's death she blames herself for (since, for Milgram, you don't actively have to commit a murder or even admit you feel guilty, you can simply believe something is considered a murder, example. Yuno case, or feel like you're responsible for their death, example. Fuuta, Mahiru and Kazui), but we haven't seen that in MV (yet). There was no way we could have known she'd start beating up people who were voted guilty if we voted her innocent. Putting her through further punishment now to try to get her to learn that what she did is bad will not work, just like with Muu. It's pointless, and she's not facing proper consequences (and she likely never will because another guilty might get her killed, which won't make up for violence she inflicted on prisoners that resulted in one eventually dying, but an inno will result in her being freed from milgram, where, again, she'll never face consequences for that violence because it happened inside milgram).
For Mikoto though, I think we should finally vote based on his crime. So far, first voting was because people thought he was faking DID (despite the fact that it was plainly explained to the audience that he definitely does have it, and the way milgram works makes it impossible to fake DID since it differentiates each alter as its own soul), and he got voted guilty for this. Second trial, we voted him inno to, well, basically "fix" his DID (and it didn't fix shit, we just forced John into going dormant, which, surprise surprise, turned out to be horrible and is making Mikoto suffer even more now). He's literally the only character we were voting based on his disorder rather than actually judging him. I'd personally want him to be voted innocent so that he could have a proper trial outside of milgram.
Hi anon! Never apologize for entering my ask box. It’s open to all. And I love listening to rambles, because I ramble so much myself. It's nice hearing others do it too.
First thing first, holy crap that was an amazing catch by you about Amane. I didn’t even think of Amane’s verdicts like that. We have no idea what or how much of our collective thoughts the prisoners, especially the ones voted Guilty, hear/feel. Since Jackalope described their beliefs being rejected, it may be reasonable to assume they only hear the bad, while the ones voted Innocent may hear bits of everything, the good and the bad. But, even though they can hear us, for the Innocent, the decision to accept or reject our thoughts is theirs, while the Guilty seem to have to rely on their mental fortitude to reject the bad feedback.
Let me start with those voted Innocent during Trial 1. Haruka and Muu both highly value and covet validation, so it’s no surprise that they would accept our affirmations without much thought. Yuno voiced her disgust with being seen as pitiful and being forced into prostitution and corrected it. Shidou and Kazui were also voted Innocent and rejected what we thought of them. Kotoko was probably going to do her thing regardless of our vote, because she believes Es doesn’t have it in them to punish the Guilty right. I think her Innocent verdict during Trial 1 emboldened her to go as far as she did. If she was Guilty Trial 1, then someone else would have acted negatively in-between Trials 1 and 2, and she could have been an acting force against any chaos and used that to bargain for her fang position, stressing to Es that her freedom of movement needs to be maintained like Shidou had argued. Someone was going to be a bad actor in-between Trials, if only to up the stakes like Kotoko was able to.
But back to the pushback for the Guilty prisoners. Mikoto doesn’t discuss what the voices told him, and that’s probably because he doesn’t get the chance to. His second audio drama is mostly John and Es talking, rather than Mikoto. Fuuta is quick to point out that Kotoko told him that Es’s forgiveness gave her the sanction to beat him to a pulp. But his focus is more on Kotoko’s violence and Es’s hypocrisy, and so we only get a tidbit of him listing a few things the voices told him, “Countless voices, judging me with all sorts of words… just for interest, just for fun, just because they don’t like me.”
Mahiru also mentioned hearing the voices between Trials 1 and 2, “Voices saying I couldn’t be forgiven.” And like Fuuta, she does question why she can’t be forgiven. She takes it a step further and says, “To not forgive me is to take the act of loving away from me. That’s the same as not being alive,” and, “So… if this love isn’t allowed, then I don’t mind dying.”
Amane seemed to be the most resilient, because of her repeated rejections of what the voices told her. What we do hear of what the voices told her are things we know she hates: pity because she is a kid. Amane was very vocal about hating that kind of treatment back in Trial 1. I was so focused on her outside rejection of pushback on her religious beliefs, I totally neglected the idea that she may have internalized that we agreed with her punishment. Like damn… that’s a sucker punch right in my heart’s gut.
But I skipped over what you first said. Questioning how symbolic the sprites are compared to reality is a good idea. Like there is currently no way for Muu and Kotoko to independently eat, drink, or even use the toilet with how their restraints are now. That or Milgram managed to remove their need for that, but someone surely would have said something by now, right?! And seriously, how did Haruka manage to kill himself? Could he have starved himself to death in Milgram? But if Milgram could remove your ability to act or experience a biological function like menstruation, surely, it can remove the need for food and drink and restroom needs. And his hands were most likely restrained, so he must have had to get creative to do it.
Now, about voting this time around… other people have said this, and mine is probably not going to be anywhere near as elegant. I know the fandom is pretty global, but growing up, did you ever hear the phrase, “You just lost the game,” from another kid? It is a dumb game that you lose simply by remembering it exists. Basically, rage bait on the jungle gym. There was no way to actually win that game, and I bring that up because I don’t think there was ever going to be a way to win Milgram. As a fandom, we can point fingers at each other all we'd like about if or what verdict or prisoner destroyed all our attempts to do damage control, but I really think that all ten prisoners were doomed by the narrative, because Milgram is not a friendly entity. No truly friendly entity would go to the degree of the restraints we've seen on the prisoners. And not just the physical ones, but the mental restraints as well. Based on what I've mentioned earlier, the Guilty prisoners can reject our rejection of them, just like how the Innocent prisoners are free to do the same to our affirmations; but, the toll it takes to do so is much higher, so it's harder for the Guilty prisoners to resist the bombardment of awfulness they get from us. To varying degrees, the prisoners have maintained their own sense of autonomy. And they will not bend to our will just because we said so, but only if they believe we said the right thing. In that respect, the prisoners have more agency than Es--their warden--does because Es gives whatever verdict we say to and then gives themself a reason for that verdict later.
And this doesn't even include considering the meta side of things. Yamanaka and others on his team have seen our comments on the music videos and across multiple social media platforms. I believe that the stakes were going to increase across trials regardless of who was Innocent or Guilty, and if it wasn't Kotoko inflicting harm on other prisoners between Trials 1 and 2 and posing a threat to others between Trials 2 and 3, then another prisoner would have been assigned the role as the bad guy. I entered the fandom late, sometime before Purge March came out, and looking back, I think that's clear. To put it more simply, at least one prisoner would have been hurt between Trials 1 and 2, at least one prisoner would have posed a serious threat between Trials 2 and 3, with at least one prisoner dying being somewhere between a serious risk and a guaranteed threat. Our choices influenced who did what and to what extent, and that while we were meant to try to mitigate the damage done, there was a degree of inevitability that something would have happened. And that's not to say, we the audience should wipe our hands clean of this. We are as much of a player in this game as Es and Jackalope. The prisoners are our pawns, and we did not do a good job of taking care of them. I know that's a strange way to put it, since calling others pawns has a very negative connotation to it, but relative to us, but we essentially played god and now we are reaping what we've sown.
So, Trial 3 voting... for the sake of not causing further harm, I want to vote all Innocent, even if I don't think I could find it in me to forgive their original murder, and this doesn't include what I think about certain people's actions in Milgram. But, I'm wary that this is going to blow up in our faces. An amendment to "All Innocent" would be "Sacrifice One or Two of the Guiltiest to Sate Milgram's Need for Justice," but that just sounds immensely cruel and will probably also blow up in our faces. I think we're damned if we do and damned if we don't, so we might as well vote "All Innocent" and pray for the best. I think it's the kindest option, so I think I want to go for it too.
My biggest worry is what will happen when the third trial is over. My final song agenda has changed from something hopeful to something more grim. The final song will most likely include Es making a choice, and I'm hoping that it's going to be a rejection of their role in response to what Milgram plans to do with the prisoners once Trial Three finishes. I think that it will involve killing the prisoners, though I'm not know if all prisoners who have been voted Guilty at least once will be targeted, or if it will be anyone who receives a Guilty verdict during this Third Trial. I don't have any basis for this, "Milgram Death Penalty Ending," but I've been thinking about Es's role after I had finally finished my Mikoto post. I think that Yamanaka has been setting Es up to make a serious decision over whether they will side with Milgram or with the prisoners. Throughout the past two trials, the prisoners have called out Es for their role in Milgram. While Es has pushed back on their criticism, most of their denial sounds weak, and it's clearly an attempt by Es to keep their conscience clean. Es believes that someone in their position should be right and just, and like Fuuta and Kotoko, Es wants to be seen as a hero, or at the very least, the good guy in this scenario, by removing themself from the prisoners' actions. Maintaining this degree of separation will fail Es once they learn of the three prisoners' deaths, and I think that this will impact Es's upcoming choice.
Es's third trial sprite shows them discarding their warden's hat and cap, as well as their gloves and key necklace (which I thought was the cord that kept their cloak on their shoulders). This gives me hope that they will waver and align themself with the prisoners. I'd like to believe in Es, because screw it, I like to believe that individuals will do the right thing, even though humanity can be an absolute cesspool of callous viruses, so I can get up and face the day. As seen when Es interrogates Haruka, Fuuta, and Amane, Es can be a petty, hypocritical bully when they are at their worst. But Es also has a moral code, a heart, and a belief that they need to see their responsibilities through to the end, so I'm hoping the good in them motivates them to side with the prisoners if Milgram forces Es to choose a side.
Throughout Milgram, there has been an emphasis on obtaining information through direct and indirect means. Jackalope has dangled a number of questions over Es's head (and ours as well) about what will happen next, only to smugly assure Es that those worries are not for the guard to concern themself with. We should just focus on the crime at hand and the judgment we think it should receive. Except, the reveal of Trial 2 pretty much drilled into us that nothing we do is in a vacuum, and we will see ripple effects that we didn't even think would happen. As we move into the third trial, I think Kazui's words from his first voice drama will come back to haunt us, "In other words, we're divided into positions of guard and prisoner, but we're both playing roles due to our lack of information."
The third trial songs are probably going to feature the most violent, selfish, and/or cruelest versions of the prisoners. Using our responses to what happened between Trials 1 and 2, Yamanaka and his team know about the fandom's attachment to their characters, and they are probably going to try to override the desire to shield the prisoners from further harm with the idea of, "Are these really the people you want to save? Do they even deserve it?" We are in for hell, and I am ready.
Innocent for all, I think. Sorry, this turned into a bit of an Es ramble. But it was awesome to hear your thoughts, anon!

<Our two Hork-Bajir are pretty quiet in there,> I told Ax. <They were talking earlier. Mostly in their own language. But even then they used some English words. Why is that?> <The Hork-Bajir were never a very intellectual species,> Ax said, with a hint of snobbery. <Their own language was primitive. It only had about five hundred words. That's what we learned in school, anyway. I suppose it's true. I guess for duty here on Earth, the Yeerks thought they should be able to speak a few words of a human language.> p. 78-79
Ax, I'm going to take anything that you learned about other species in school with a grain of salt.
Also, just because their vocab is smaller doesn't mean that they are stupid. We don't know how much language was needed in their original culture.
But also, the line that they were primitive seems like a good way to justify your people's actions against them. Or on why they couldn't help them more than they did since the public don't know about the war crimes you committed against them. They were a primitive people, nothing we could do. Oops.
<I didn't mean to eavesdrop on them,> I said. <But it was easy for me to hear. They kept using some Hork-Bajir word. It sounded like kawatnoj. Something like that anyway.> <I don't know the word,> Ax admitted. <I don't speak Hork-Bajir. I'll ask them tomorrow what it means.> <Maybe you shouldn't. They don't seem to like you Andalites.> <We tried to save them from the Yeerks,> Ax said with sudden anger. <We failed, yes. But wedid try. Why should they hate us?> p. 79
Elfangor! Did you not tell Ax about what your people did? Elfangor, you just let your little brother absorb all the propaganda! Elfangor!
I'm sure we'll find out what kawatnoj means.
