Marx Soul and Magolor Soul keychains using mizuhiki (traditional Japanese knot technique)

this knot for marx soul is called 梅結び/plum knot

this one for magolor soul is called 菜の花結び/nanohana knot (nanohana is a type of flower. one variety is called rapeseed in english apparently. huh)

#(EDIT! better jumprings and clasps!!)#the magolor one was so uncooperative while gluing the back lol. but i got the hang of it #the hardest parts were making the wire loops...#the gold wire is thin so i had to wrap it around every time. and the silver wire is thick so its just plain hard #also i apparently have no gold jump rings...#half of these beads were bought during joanns final sale. rip queen (idk they might still be barely open tho)#i do want to make taranza and gryll ones too...#and perhaps regular magolor+marx ones but i only have 2 red mizuhiki rn. which i need for smth else #so taranza and regular marx will have to wait #sphereart.tiff #i'll put this in the art tag. it counts #magolor #marx kirby #magolor soul #marx soul #kirby #crafting

I've got quite a few pieces looking for new homes! All pendants come ready to wear on a coordinating chain, packaged in a gift box with a velvet bag for storing between wears. Shipping is $7 extra in the US. Made from semiprecious gemstones, recycled and repurposed copper wire, some being 1950s radio wire.

It's weird sharing things like this when the world is so heavy and people are trying to just survive right now...but, the thing is....I am trying to survive too. Art is a form of resistance, and for a disabled American, it's also the way I'm attempting maintaining my sanity.

There's more I could say...but... I'm not sure I've got the energy for all that.

So sometime last week there was a little accident where something stupid happened, resulting in something else stupid happening, and after a short string of stupid, my favorite teapot wire sculpture shattered.

It didn't picture very well, but it had wire bent to mimic the clouds found in Asian calligraphy, tiny teacups I hand-painted to match the teapot, and was meant to look like stylized steam. I didn't think I'd find that teapot again, but after a few hours on ebay, I found a similar one that's probably from the same series. It doesn't have the stems or exact same design, but it does have the flowers, shape, and color. Hopefully the spout will be the same size. If not, I might start the project from scratch again, though that's a lot of wire to throw out.

On a not unrelated vein, I found many other small teapots that I put in my watchlist, and now I have six or so offers from sellers that I can't take up until payday, and they're all set to expire before my payday. 😂 Sorry sellers!
