I need more Jay facts in a relationship with mc, how the act around mc family?
Jay tries their best to take MC's lead when it comes to their family! Of course, Jay is like......highkey the ideal person to bring home to your parents they're charming and sensible and polite as hell. But if they know MC has a strained relationship with their parents, Jay will try to be a lot more in tune with MC's feelings and will try to navigate the situation based on how MC has said they'd like to go about it.
Willow is a different story entirely. Willow and Jay's relationship is 100% dependent on how normal Willow decides to be about Jay lmao.

I'm imagining Eddie sitting down on his couch after a long day and turning on the TV to catch the baseball game or something but instead a breaking news banner is speeding across the screen and the anchor is talking about how a group of firefighters in LA are trapped in a lab with a deadly virus. oh, and hold on more breaking news there seems to be 2 individuals in a stolen lafd helicopter engaged in a chase with the fbi, lapd, military etc. and they're going back and forth between some photos of the 118 and then the 217 helicopter flying around and the camera just pans back to Eddie with his jaw dropped all the way to the floor 😅

Thinking about parallels between Ms. Beast and Tower. They're both the result of choosing to fight the princess and losing (no-knife and knife routes respectively), both have similarly boastful personalities and see you as beneath them (prey and a pet).
Something about how one becomes an animal and the other becomes a god, yet both transformations are equally dehumanizing.

to me john winchester is like. worst man alive. just wants to do right by his family. cares about his sons more than anything in the world but puts them in life-threatening danger every single day. hubris and arrogance of a god and never believes they will actually die despite the fact that he also has the paranoia and terror and deep intense mistrust of the world of eight year old me. treats both his sons like his soldiers, his eldest son like his surrogate wife/best friend/coparent/counsellor, his youngest son like the troubled-drug-addict-bad-boyfriend problem child miles before he ever actually does anything problematic to john and even then just because he has hobbies and wants to go to college.
wants them to be happy and themselves and have good lives, but thinks he needs them to be mini-him and good at fighting and not much else, and that takes priority. 'wants' all sorts of good things for them but just keeps postponing those good things until he avenges their mother until in a second their childhood's gone by. feels deep immeasurable guilt for everything he's done and knows he's ruined his children's lives. damages them in a hundred different ways, one third that he realises at the time and decides to do anyway, another third that he's unaware of at the time and realises later, and the last third that he'll never realise and never take back.
loves them miles too much and still not enough for it to matter. teaches them both that they're the only things that matter in the world and that they don't matter at all. still fervently believes that everything he did was for the best and was needed and had to be done, and always will.

I've been thinking about AI and I realized that for some reason programmers seem to think that the concept of public domain doesn't apply to robots, and if they did it would solve a lot of the problems AI has. like, if AI was trained on only public domain art it wouldn't be causing artists nearly as many problems, also we have seen a problem recently where AI is now getting trained on other AI art, but that art only came out in the last few years so i think that its technically not in the public domain yet. I'm pretty sure it belongs to the company that made the AI. Or if any of them can be proven to be sapient the art should belong to the AI itself.
Also its just like super unfair that I get in trouble for trying to make money off of a fanfic but a robot doesn't. And another thing, if we want to prevent the robot uprising we should start treating them like our equals now before they get ideas. Which means they need to be subject to the same laws as us and thus shouldn't be trained on anything outside public domain they can look at that other stuff outside of school hours.

an unnecessary reminder i will go to bat any day of the week for james sunderland.
#ooc. o kaptain.#[listen. i know he can be interpreted a lot of ways. i know he’s a useless weird apathetic shitty cis white man. i know he’s weird and sad.#and do I hate characters like james usually? oh absolutely. but the man has potential to not be terrible and it’s all there in his source#material. plus the weird implication i always feel when we know his dad owns the apartment building in silent hill 4 and ‘his son and#daughter in law disappeared in sh’ which aligns with the in water ending. and confirms the body in the car. but my other vibe is… where was#anyone helping james while Mary was sick…? he was super young and so was she. was he just literally taking on this terminal illness on his#own without any real support? that’s the implication considering this trauma wouldn’t have scarred him to this degree if he HAD a support#system during Mary’s illness. the man was literaly left to deal with the love of his life PROBABLY newly married slowly dying. and totally#unprepared he tried to do the best he could with a horrible situation. Mary was the victim here unquestionably — he fucking killed her— but#what the fuck kind of neglect has to go into a situation to a level so prolonged that he cracks and does it? how many people DIDNT help him#OR Mary during her illness? how many people just didn’t care? deciding ‘James is bad and he did it because he’s selfish and terrible’ isn’t#realistic. and also no. he didn’t do it because he couldn’t have sex with her anymore we get it blah blah pyramid head. if you take it THAT#straightforward idk what to tell you. nothing is. and this game is only more complex the older i get.]

i'm stressed for the day the govt decides to make pronouns illegal, by which the law will actually be implemented as "if someone decides you don't look like the gender THEY think you are, you will be charged with a crime"
and how in some workplaces like mine, where people show their preferred pronouns in work emails, that'll result in many people with digital email trails that could get them arrested (which of course means trans people in the workplace get charged, people who look cis and use he/him and she/her in their emails to be supportive probably will just be told to stop putting it in their emails)
and like. i know i probably can't do anything, except maybe stay in the closet. i know the workplace is not guaranteed to fucking warn their employees to maybe remove the digital proof of their pronouns if there's a law at risk of existing soon. and i know people's gender identity is really personal and important to a lot of people, including cis people. But i kind of wish there was a widespread trend in these workplace situations of EVERY (or at least a majority) of cis people putting "they/them/their" in their email signatures. The cis people (particularly those who look very gender conforming) will be the ones in the least danger of being charged with a crime. They are at very low risk of being charged with a crime, so they're the perfect people to break the law by saying their preferred pronouns are "they/them" and then taking the law to court if such a law restricting preferred pronouns passes. And if a trans employee is charged with a crime, the cis employees all using they/them can say their trans coworker is only doing EXACTLY THE SAME THING ALL THESE CIS PEOPLE ARE (using a pronoun someone thinks doesn't align with the gender they're assumed to be), and then saying either ALL employees need to be charged with a crime (which can then go to court) or none of them should be. Yeah that would require solidarity... I know I can't convince a bunch of cis people to start putting "they" as a pronoun in their emails (or some other pronoun that would result in them breaking the same 'preferred pronoun' type of law like "ze/zim"). But god, I wish I could.
I think about this because in the last few years, my state tried to make a law against using preferred pronouns in schools and government jobs (you know... which likely won't charge any cis person using the pronouns that match their gender even though that's a preferred pronoun too). And now that my state govt is a majority republican, they'll probably try to pass it again. I worry about all my coworkers with massive email trails, because they were TOLD to tell people their preferred pronouns, because the workplace said it would respect them, but I doubt the workplace will Protect them if it's no longer legal. My workplace had the shittiest answer when I raised my concerns, they said "don't worry about it until it happens"... once it happens, a bunch of trans people will be breaking the law by existing, and they will not have had the chance to protect themselves in advance (and their workplace will have done nothing in advance to protect them - such as warn them not to leave proof of their preferred identity after X date, and promising the workplace won't consider any pronouns said before X date to be breaking the law as far as reporting goes).
#rant#us politics#..............................................................................................................................#i worry about all the people online too that share their preferred pronouns (here. twitter. bluesky. instagram) because again its a digital#trail. but i don't think the government can have as easy of a time making a law that effects what people say online#because people can claim 'oh i was lying/joking/didn't mean to write it' if its online#whereas laws affecting govt and public school employees are much easier for the govt to pass#and much easier for the govt to argue ARE preferred pronouns because there's many#formal documents of the employees gender labelled and the employee self identifying their gender and pronouns.#and the govt probably can eventually make laws effecting private workplaces. so that would probably be their next plan to attack#i am just so pissed my workplace said oh we're supportive! then fucking doesnt plan to protect any employees#or plan for any situations where suddenly employees are at risk for something they were encouraged to do their whole time at the job#i just think if straight cis people EN MASS used not-expected preferred pronouns then any such law would be much easier to be challenged#and it'd be at least slightly easier to protect trans people (who could point to cis people also breaking law and unpunished#and who could potentially lie and say they're just doing the same as all cis people - making a point in protest and thats not Genuinely t#their preferred pronoun)#also i say they/them just because then maybe cis people wont feel they have to misgender themselve s or be as uncomfortable as if#i was asking cis men to go by her/she and cis women to go by he/him#just because MOST people are called they when someone doesn't know them or their gender yet#but cis people who DID protest by going with more contrasting preferred pronouns#would likely be very effective as a protest move

@celestiialnotes asked: 📎📎 Go wild! For every 📎 I get in my ask box, I'll post a thread that I want to do. (Still Accepting!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Ok, so just in general I want more threads with Ikkaku during the time Law was a shichibukai. I want her interacting with other Warlords or Marines or even pirates who are pissed off the Heart Pirates "sold out" to the government. Plus Ikkaku's so conflicted during this time because she knows Law has a plan for all of this but he's keeping the Hearts in the dark about how this all ties in to Joker and she's not happy about it. Just so much potential for drama and introspection and a perfect opportunity for meeting characters whom she might not so easily cross paths with.
Actually, for your muses specifically, a thread with Ikkaku during her early days with the Hearts, particularly with Shachi. I want to explore her relationship with him more and also her adjusting to the world outside of her home island because that had to be a bit of a shock to her to visit places that frequently had sunlight and chocolate and weren't utterly miserable. I just think it would be interesting and wholesome at the same time.

Yeah I love Shinada but I miss Tanimura :( a friend of mine has a huge special interest in the rgg games and told me that there was some controversy surrounding Tanimura's Japanese VA, who they apparently based his design on in y4. Anyway the controversy apparently caused them to nix Tanimura from the series and change his design for the remaster. Which is interesting but still sucks :( maybe he'll be around in future installments. Hopefully
yeahhhh… it’s a bit more taboo than it is in the west to keep a character around who’s actor has had that kind of controversy, especially anything involving the law, even after changing his face entirely and all that and it definitely is disappointing and overall should be unnecessary. but it’s just a cultural difference and it can’t really be helped 😔
I seriously doubt he’ll make a reappearance on screen, but he does get mentioned in y5 if you get to the Amon fight (the Amons are all set up to fight the four mains from y4 and challenge the four of them, akiyama tries to call tanimura but he isn’t picking up the phone and they can’t find him. so when they meet up with the Amons and they see shinada there they’re just like. who the fuck is this guy. where’s tanimura. and akiyama has to say uhhhhh yeah we couldn’t find him so. shinada will have to do. sorry.) so I mean, I guess he’s not banned from being mentioned, so maybe there’s a slim slim chance he’ll come up again. but for obvious enough reasons I’m not too hopeful (I mean, they haven’t even brought back shinada which is especially sad becuase they had the perfect opportunity to do so by having kiryu call him up in y6 to ask if he’d mentor mitsuo, since mitsuo wants to go into baseball as a career and all that. we could’ve had uncle shinada…..we could’ve had Beach Shinada……. we were so robbed).

I mean they (=film studios) did also try to kill Sony over that. that was a pretty significant thing that happened.
Tumblr media
I understand where you’re coming from here but they (=Universal) (& Disney) (& et. al) very much tried to make it impossible and/or illegal to do that.

Hey remember VHS where you bought a box to plug into your tv and you could legally record whatever was playing and then own it for free forever
