One animatic down, 2 more to go. Maybe 3 since I also want to make one for Perseverance.

Anyways, one of my favorite things added to this fic (His Wish) was Ink’s ability to absorb and feel the emotions of other people (not just the AUs themselves. His complicated relationship with “feeling” and being confused on wether he reciprocated error’s love for him or not were my favorite moments in this fic.

No this ink doesn’t get a soul that “fixes him” and this ability to absorb people’s emotions creates more of a problem for himself instead of helping him.

I also love error’s arc with him finally accepting that he does care for ink and my favorite moments with him was his deep regret and trauma of accidentally “ending” ink after taking his red paint (yes I know this is very not canon with official ink). So I made an animatic of both of these. Sorry if it doesn’t make sense, that’s why I added a description

OMG GUYS I JUST REALISED- In the first book, Cardan had been reading 'Alice in Wonderland' when he wrote Jude's name over and over again in a piece of paper.

But what is Alice in Wonderland about? A young girl, in a 'wonderland' surrounded by people who arent like her, having to make her way through by herself. does that ring a bell about someone we might know??

been thinking about the idea of a leverage spinoff after redemption is over. like. maybe set ten-fifteen years in the future, following Breanna who is now a mastermind of her own leverage team, along with her wife (hopefully her endgame from redemption. dean devlin pls im begging for an ongoing romance for Breanna. maybe something rivals to lovers-y. plsplspls let the gay girl be gay) and they both run an entirely new team side by side.

and then maybe the two adopted a daughter a few years back, and now shes turned into a very spirited and driven teenager who wants nothing more than to fight capitalist scum alongside her badass crime moms. meanwhile Breanna and her wife are trying to keep their daughter tf away from their work because its dangerous and they worry for her. chaos ensues.

i see the show opening on their daughter wandering around a new hq, exploring everything, playing with Breanna's badass computer setup, sitting at The Briefing TableTM. then Bre catches her and is like how tf did you even find out about this place, i hid it so well. daughter just shrugs smugly like "you taught me too good, mom."

Finally got cotl with the update discount, @pogglins and I played co-op and turns out goat can also smooch lamb's spouse :D

It's the special episode of Takara's Treasure, and we have a 💕shipper💕 in our midst!

She picked up on the vibes between Takara and Taishin in episode four while out drinking with the group, and has been writing their fictitious love story ever since.

And she could have had her own love story too, but girl said, "Eff love, get a book deal!" so I respect her focus.

But outside of her novelization of these two love birds, Taishin is still a Blue Boy.

And, although Takara is still a Black Brooder, he has continued to be much lighter since he began dating Taishin.

Because how could a man not be lighter when he has a boyfriend looking up at him like this upon his return from a three-week hiking trip?

So once Takara finds out the next day is his boyfriend's birthday, he takes them on a little date, and it's even more noticeable that this Black Brooder is not going back to his complete darkness now that he has a dedicated Blue Boy with ice cream by his side.

And that Blue Boy wants to make sure he doesn't cut off any of his fingers when he is making a special birthday dinner!

So this light Black Brooder ends the night with his boyfriend drunk and resting comfortably on his chest as they fall asleep on the floor.

Because not only has Takara changed his sheets, which used to be green.

But he has changed his attitude as he has embraced the color-coded love his Blue Boyfriend has to offer him (like constantly drinking from a blue mug!)

And he gives his Blue Boy the ultimate birthday gift when he wakes up in Takara's blue bed by calling Taishin by his name for the second time.

Because even if Takara can't always express exactly how he feels, he does let Taishin know how much his love has changed him.

And his entire world is much brighter because of it.

I love how basically the entire ninjago community is in agreement that Arin shouldn’t get powers bc that would ruin the point of his character but the nexo knights community is just totally chill with clay getting powers even though that also ruins the point of his character

It's a shame Tree is so poorly used because playing Clangen made me think about how much drama a mediator could cause even if they have good intentions. Like trying to get two cats to get along but only making their relationship worse or committing a big political faux pass with a rival clan when they need their support at the brink of war. Conflict through diplomacy can be fun if you commit to building tension and consequences with it.

Do you think mediators will eventually become a thing in all the BB!Clans?

Mediators are a great game mechanic in Clangen. Absolutely fantastic design choice, giving you better influence over the relationships between cats in a game all about managing relationships between cats. The people who came up with that one should be kissed on the mouths.

I'm not sure how much I'd get out of them as a storytelling element for BB, though.

It's not a complete no-- Clangen's mediators are pretty close to that "Therapy" rework I floated. Making their role more about interpersonal conflict, giving advice, helping individual cats work through their issues.

At the same time though, I find that the sense of community is so much stronger when that isn't someone's "job," but just something someone in the Clan can relate to.

Jaypaw could have had some sessions with a hypothetical therapist to confront his internalized ableism-- but isn't it more interesting for him to realize that by calling himself worthless for his disability, he's directly insulting his mentor Longtail too? And that Longtail will invoke his Battle Cat right to FIGHT for his honor?

They could consult elders, find a surprising connection in a Clanmate they'd never paid attention to, reignite an old friendship they thought they lost forever. There already feels like so many possibilities, and all of them feel more intriguing than "goes to the designated therapy guy."

If there's anyone like a political diplomat in BB though, it feels like it should evolve from Merchants. Ive got some stuff about trading and bartering in the works, and I think there's more space for interesting ideas there.
