one of the minor downsides to talking in third person is wolf cant use acronyms like idk or ily beceause theyre in first person and she doesnt think changing them to third person woulf work that well becsuse "wdk and wly" doesnt have the same vibes

I love this. This is a beautiful showcase of an idea I try to keep close, done through a metaphor that uses my favorite animal.

“What would it take for that to be me?” is such an important question to ask to get along with people who are different in ways you disapprove of. What would it take for me to not shower for a week? What would it take for me to get sucked into a cult? What would it take for me to lose everything I have and end up on the streets?

And sometimes the question is one where in the metaphor you’re part of the flock and can hate with abandon (“What would it take for me to become an incel?” “What would it take (or what would it have taken) for me to hate X group?” and so on don’t apply to everyone), but it’s also important to be aware when someone you know is the sheepdog watching everyone else celebrate the wolf’s downfall and thinking, “That could have been me. It would have been so easy for you to hate me like you hate him.”

The wolf, given food, can be kind. The sheepdog, in its absence, can be cruel, for he is not fundamentally different from the wolf. The human, with all their nuance and baggage, can always choose redemption or corruption. The human does not get to claim that they are cruel by nature, incapable of change, and likewise they are not forced to stay on the path that they have chosen and they are not defined by their past.

Never realised how cursed kangaroos were until last night. I'm camping and 3/4 of my tent is surrounded by bush which must've freaked out the local wildlife. Waking up in the middle of the black night to the sound of HOPPING and shuffling outside your tent then a little nose loudly sniffing right near your head is a uniquely horrifying experience. Totally forgot I was Australian for good minute and thought I was going to be taken by something from the Blair Witch Project before I remember kangaroos exist

So apparently some people new to Tumblr think a repost and a reblog are the same thing, so when they see creators asking for people to not repost, they're thinking the creators are saying to not reblog 😭

Y'all, a repost is when you copy/download the work and create a new post using the work making it seem as if it's yours. A reblog is you using a site provided feature to share the creator's post directly from the creator so that it's still credited to them and they still get all of the traction/notes from the work.

Please, reblog fics/art/etc. that you enjoy! Reblogging is not reposting! Creatives need support too, and reblogging is a way to do that!

Hello and welcome to my blog! You can call me Sark (she/her). I'm currently in college studying computer science (and considering specializing in both game design and cybersecurity), so I post about computing relatively regularly. I also adore wolves (the animal), so I will happily share any wolf-related content that comes my way, and I occasionally post short stories.

As I understand it, reblogging is a core part of the Tumblr ecosystem, so I try to reblog fairly frequently. An unfortunate side effect of that is that I tend to tag sparsely.
