it is once again wip wednesday my dudes

so, this fic was actually supposed to be posted today. but i lost 15 hours of ability to work on it bc some shit hit the fan irl. that being said i figured it was fair to show you what i've got so far for Day 3 of my very late Bottom Jayce Week entries! it should be ready and posted sometime tomorrow evening EST :)

anywho i'm diving in hard to get this finished up by tomorrow. i really wanted to post it today solely for the fact that it kept with the W alliteration to post it on wednesday but oh well. shit happens. also didn't expect to have to be watching 4 hour lectures on zero-point energy and quantum physics to write fucking yaoi but jayvik is a curse apparently that drags one into the rabbit holes of physics OTL my highschool crush was a physics major, if only i could contact them now LMAO

Hey, Jake & Jack fans, is this anything?

Both men imprisoned (literal & metaphorical).

Both offered an out from their current predicament by an outside force (arguably in the case of Brain Ghost Dirk).

Both have loose ties to Lord English visually.

Yellow initial glow & Gamzee involvement too.

Sometimes a guy just needs to explode (same pose too).

Both dual wielding weapons.

That same said weapon type (for Jack Noir) having killed Jane Crocker.

It's really looking like Jake is going to do her in.

I would also like to point out that we've had interactions involving these three (Jane, Jake, and Brain Ghost Dirk) before that consisted of similar topics & themes.

Brain Ghost Dirk implying that he's just there as moral support, a manifestation of Jake's powers, and as a coping mechanism. Jane also talking about ruling an empire with him while talking down to him, similar to how she saw and/or still sees him in Beyond Canon's Candy timeline. Jake also being uncertain about doing anything to harm her despite all the bad things she's doing.

Brain Ghost Dirk going away tells us that Jake's more hopeful than he's ever been. This is the moment where he is the most sure of his decisions than he's ever been in his life, whatever those decisions may be in regards to Jane and how to handle this situation.

He is probably going to shoot Jane down, quite literally. I would also argue that after all this time, the lad isn't beating the Lord English allegations. We might as well have a parallel of him killing Jane much like how Jack Noir killed her right before he got possessed by Lil Cal & given some of Lord English's immense power.

Alternatively maybe we'll get to see what the power of hope or hope bullets can do to someone whose done so much wrong & come so far off the deep end in terms of moral wrongdoings. Maybe with every shot that hits her, she'll begin to be swayed to the side of good & start to self-reflect.

I'm still not fully convinced that Gamzee actually cured Tavros' peanut allergy, I mean just look at the panel.

This could absolutely be interpreted as Jake injecting his hope power into the epipen and by proxy injecting both his power & the epipen into his son! If younger Jake is strong enough to defeat Grimbark Jade, then adult Jake might just be strong enough to defeat a peanut allergy is all I'm saying! In fact, now that I'm rambling about it, this seems like the more likely outcome is Jake's hope power swaying or (in the very least) confusing Jane mid-fight. Hope bullets, they would look cool & would be pretty strong!

The power of believing in others & wanting things to change can be a strong tool indeed, Mister English.

If there's one person who still believes in changing Jane's mind (or bringing her back to proper canonicity depending on how you interpret the recent lore), it would be Jake English, the believer.

Okay, maybe this is something! Tally ho!

Mage!Viktor x ChiaPet!Jayce coming ur way. whump w/ a heavy dose of allegory & angst, followed up with some good ol sweet aftercare bc we are gonna need it. or at at least i’m gonna need it. it already hurts 🤠 but i swear it has a happy ending!!! ...kinda!! maybe! idk i'm still undecided on how full swing in the angst i wanna go sldkjf

Norris wasn’t sure if his Waiting Room Friend was gay or a hipster. (The possibility that he might be a gay hipster, or even a metrosexual had also crossed his mind.) His Waiting Room Friend was short and fat and hairy and always dressed Mod-meets-modern or Peacock Revolution with the Technicolor toned down. Today’s outfit featured a chartreuse turtleneck and several strings of multicolor glass beads. His jacket– brown corduroy, with pointy lapels–was draped over one shapely, skinny-jean-clad thigh. His hair was wavy, tousled and dark. As always, he was stunning, but his clothes gave Norris zero concrete hints as to his sexuality. ... Their introductions had consisted of, “Can I get a light, big guy?” Norris had glanced over, seen nothing, and then looked down. “Oh. Sure.”  Despite his Waiting Room Friend being a foot shorter than him, it felt to Norris like it was the other way around. His presence was magnetic. It compelled him. They didn't even spend a lot of time together– just talking and smoking, leaning against the concrete pillars a little bit down the plaza –but the way he considered anything Norris had to say, however quietly or sporadically he said it, had Norris thinking about him long after they’d parted.

Chapter Five of my ongoing novel project is here! It's a long one! We learn a little about Norris' teenhood, meet his crush, & he & Rufus attempt to start their search for Rufus' apprentice, but run into a magical complication.

Right, so I haven't updated/posted anything in a while. That's obvious. I will try to get things that are already requested out, but after that, I'm taking a bit of a break.

My Mom has Breast Cancer. She was in remission for a while, but it just recently came back. She takes care of my niece, so while she has been sick, I've been taking care of her and the kid. We work at the same place too, so I've been having to take a lot of her shifts, since she cant make them. It goes between me and the Manager covering her shifts.

Long story short, I haven't exactly had much time to write. As soon as I am free again, I will probably open my requests back up, because I just like writing lol. Hopefully, my mom gets better, and everything goes back to how it was! Best case scenario.

Anyway, thank you! I hope all are doing well :}

i will say im liking how the new crew is treating this plotpoint. also i. love women. thought i should mention that

the freaking. the lipstick color.

going from roses color to kanayas aarghh [holding head] <- victors reaction to the most basic and straightforward symbolism

but also gosh. jade bringing up how gods are treated... you see people cracking jokes about it but, obvious horrible behavior aside. shes right! none of them are really capable of making a real connection! theyre caged, trapped even, within this circle of people theyve known since they were 13. and thats kinda messed up!! a little bit!!! it sucks!!!!

btw say what you will but i missed ruby. her whimsy...
