i do this thing where like, i find a thing that makes brain go brrrr

i proceed to come up with a gajillion variations on that same thing

however

i don’t want to subject everyone to a gajillion variations on the same thing when it’s very much the same few scenarios except with some changes here and there and the same handful of characters every time

i don’t want to wear out the emotional beats and everything

so like

i may have my one story i posted where pk goes fucking feral and rips xero’s throat out with his teeth for hurting hornet

and that snippet where he dragged himself back from the dream realm when pharloom’s god chased her back

but the variation with a different assassination attempt where an explosive goes off and leaves him in a state of “should be dead but he’s a god” because he was shielding hornet (who may be a young kid wondering why she can’t see dad, may be older and trying to face the concept that he abandoned her but now cares enough to throw himself in harm’s way)? that is not gonna see a word on the doc, let alone get put up here or on AO3

i have like, a dozen versions of “someone is forced to leave hallownest and wander.” it’s the dreamers and their companions and hollow, it’s just the dreamers and hollow, it’s herrah and hornet and hollow, it’s pk and baby hornet, it’s hornet and hollow. sometimes they meet with grimm. sometimes they just stick together in the wastes and try to make it. sometimes they either end up in judge and gov’s territory, and sometimes judge (and her kids) and gov also got kicked out of their home and join the band. the most that i’ve put up of any of those is a couple snippets on Elegies, Memories, and that’s probably gonna be it

the archivist!PK AU exists because i came up with a variation on Broken Open’s situation with pk

with my ocs, i’ve iterated on so many variations that come to the same scene (erlwyn cuddled with judge on a window seat, falling asleep to the sound of falling rain while she draws). none of them are seeing a page. not a one

they make the serotonin or dopamine or whatever go

but

it’s the same few characters

it’s the same few scenarios

it’s the same thing over and over until i’m a broken record that just gets more scratchy with every time you try to play it

and i know the whole write what you love and fandom is supposed to be fun not work and all, and i really do love writing other characters like the nailmasters and quirrel and midwife and everyone when i have ideas or scenes including them

but they don’t live in my head rent-free in the same way

and i don’t want to wear everyone else down with that

so the stories stay locked up

Hey, so I saw you just did a crapton of asks so if you wait a while to answer this I completely understand.

The ask you answered about L. Eclipse flat out ignoring a... very forward suitor (COUgh cough me too buddy Cough cough) made me curious how our favorite boy acts when interacting with his subjects.

mans made a whole universe full of people, likely for reasons outside of just torturing sun and the others, so surely he atleast planned on socializing (or just.. didn't think ahead?)

Does he interact with them positively? Does he interact at all?

Also, completely unrelated, you posts about computer guts has got me thinking about what his internals must look like melded with his centipede stuff, and now i'm having blorbo thoughts about it.

I have two main scenarios though!!! The first is that during the start, he was a very active apart of his "community" and would drink up as much of the attention as humanly possible! Over time, though, the boredom starts to kick in and he spends less and less time around his other followers, eventually only allowing Sunvant to see him.

The second scenario, though, is that he's able to find a balance between keeping up a good image to his followers—not in centipede form, mind you—but the moment the doors are closed and it's only Sun who will witness his wrath, it's time to boogie!!! 🐛🐛🐛

So generally, yes, he treats most of his followers decently because that will ensure they will stay loyal and they will also shower him in praise! The level of interaction just depends on how silly I wanna get LOL

There are still dissenters, though! Which is only natural, Lord Eclipse can't gain everyone's love via fear. Mysteriously, though, the more vocal ones always seem to go missing... I wonder what's up with that?

#obj kissing - a tag for posts I look at with huge objectum eyes... #robot tag - for posts about robots! #angel tag - for posts about angels! #space tag - for posts about space! (All of these can be applied to things not Exactly about the tag but may have the Vibes.)

#glitchdrop eclipse - I am a HUGE arcade machine Eclipse lover so I just wanted to make a tag for my wife <3 #many arms tag - for characters with at LEAST 4 arms... bc i am so gay (Centiclipse is not included under this tag because otherwise he would completely clog it up LMAO).

Common blacklisting tags

#no id - for when a post has no image description, meaning its inaccessible to people who need screen readers.

#saturated colors/#bright colors/#flashing/#eyestrain/#glitch effect - to spare anyone's eyes who want to be spared and epileptic people don't get hurt.

#angst/#whump - angst is for anything that involves generally heartbreaking posts about blorbos, whereas whump is specifically torture of a blorbo. Think mental anguish vs physical anguish.

#gore - for gore that features human or animal organs, torn skin, excessive blood, and such similar things(both written and visual. may also be paired with the #cannibalism tag.) #robot gore - for gore that features machine or robot wires, broken/melted casing, oil for blood, and similar such things. Androids that have human appearances but nonhuman insides will be included under this tag(once again, both written and visual.) #misc gore - honestly I made this tag bc I kept seeing "star gore" which is cool as FUCK but also it doesn't apply to either of the previous tags so I just made a general "other gore" tag LOL

#body horror - this will probably be more used for visual depictions, but self explanatory I think.

Those are what will be used mostly commonly but, in general, I will just tag stuff as "[thing]" or, if its a tag that may REALLY upset some people, I will add "cw [thing]" too. If you think something should be tagged or have a specific blacklist tag request, shoot an ask or DM and I'll likely tag it!
