🤜-What causes the most conflict in their life?

That’s a pretty interesting question, I’m assuming conflict in this sense means to struggle with a thing or something to that effect.

🔴 Tai: For Tai, I would say what causes the conflict in his life is Spider Queen and the intense trauma he has because of her. It’s because of Spider Queen that Tai basically lost everything. He was homeless and alone for months. Even after meeting Pigsy and eventually being taken in by him, the scars SQ left on Tai wouldn’t go away so easily, it’s very difficult for him to trust others.

The worst part is that as time passed after becoming a spider demon, Tai’s memories of his past slowly have eroded away, he can’t remember his family, friend, how he used to look, he can’t even remember his own birthday, but the memories of SQ are burned into his brain, he’ll never forget what she did to him, even if he wanted to.

🟡 Huìdàn: What causes the most conflict in her life would probably be the fear of not knowing what exactly she is and worrying if she is some sort of monster. Huìdàn was just an ordinary girl, living a simple life like any other kid would. But then that simple life was completely changed when she started turning into an ink person, she didn’t even know her mother was once a celestial maiden till now. Everything just isn’t what what she’s used to anymore.

It doesn’t help that Inky has planted the ideas and questions regarding herself in her head. What is she? Who is she? Is she sure she’s safe to be around? Does she know what she can even do? Who’s to say people will even help her? So many questions that she doesn’t know the answers to

🔵 Xian: I’d say for what causes the most conflict for Xian is his bad temper and lack of control over his emotions, his temper has led to nothing good for him, all it’s brought him is trouble.

Xian knows he’s got anger issues, but it’s so hard to control himself cause nobody has taught him how to, when he gets in trouble with others cause of his anger, Xian feels frustrated and upset, why can’t he just control himself, why will nobody help him, he wants to be better, but nobody will even give him a hand. It wasn’t until he met Mei and her family that Xian finally had people who were willing to stay with him and guide him.

🟣 Qingling: With Qingling, I’d say what’s caused the most conflict in her life in her feelings of worthlessness and inferiority, and desire to be useful to her family. Qingling isn’t like her family, she is powerless, she can’t form incredible feats like they can. How can she help them when she can’t even seem to help herself?

She wants to meet the expectations that is expected from her, she wants to make her DBK and PIF proud, she wants to help them and her big brother achieve their goals. But how can she when she has no power? What is she worth if she can’t do anything? It’s a huge weight on her that’s always in the back of her mind.

MEET SIRE-ZI (Also known as Sage and/or Xian-Zil)

I had some inspiration from @auburnitzy oc (I LOVE NAWA SO MUCH I CANT EVENE EXPLAIN IT). So, For the sake of character and Lore creation, I studied Philippine Mythology, kid you not, it took me almost a full day to study the Mythology. But anyways, enough yapping. Here's the information for Sire-Zi.⬇️

Sire-Zi's Info Dump!

• Sire was originally alive way before SWK was even created. BUT...at some point in time, she had to give up her immortality and her form to pay for some choices she made.

• Sire's name originally was Xian-Zilú. But when she gave up her immortality and her form, she also gave up all of her memories.

• When Sire was Still Xian, He (Yes, Xian was a he, now he is a she :P) was friends with most of the brother hood (Specifically Macaque, SWK, Azure, and DBK.)

• Xian had a grudge with Golden tusk and peng.

(OKAY, ENOUGH OF SIRE'S PAST... NOW HERE IS THE REAL INFO!)

• Sire is in fact mortal, but thanks to Her ancestor (Xian), She lives longer than other mortals.

(Here is some info about the type of Philippine mythology creature she is)

• Sire Has a huge fear of her own strength....and a huge fear of mice.

• At some point, Sire nearly submerged the whole city in water because she couldn't control her powers.

Nezha looks like he's in his twenties and he's absolutely been in and out of young life crises for his entire fucking existence, someone hand him some soda so he'll be lively at the party and not pass out before it even starts. I headcanon that he can get similar sugar highs that kids can. Give him a bottle of soda, and he'll be sweet and active for the next few hours and then crash.

He is. a little bit pudgy. just enough to cup his face like a pet and it be cute. His reactions to being called cute are either his knee-jerk "NO, I'M NOT >:(" or "Yes, I am, now pet me. This is not a request." His beloved shifu, Erlang Shen, adores him for this.

SPEAKING OF ERLANG SHEN. Nezha and Erlang have a very adorable son-adopted father dynamic because Nezha needs a good paternal figure dammit leave me to my fluff. Erlang trains Nezha when the latter of the two isn't dropping on his feet from exhaustion, and when he is, Erlang isn't shy about carrying him to bed.

Nezha's attitude towards MK is in the same ballpark as his attitude towards SWK. He thinks MK is reckless, but that he has potential if he can learn to fucking plan ahead, for the love of all that is sweet and carbonated.

He likes Mei but every now and again, he has a crisis over the fact that she's distantly related to Ao Lie, who's the nephew of Ao Guang. Nezha is more afraid of Ao Guang than anything else since he keeps having nightmares about that One Legendary Moment in his myth.

Something Nezha says once in a blue moon is that he has three homes, and one of them is a cramped apartment with his little brother. He's referencing MK when he says this. Sometimes he'll also say it's in the bowels of a volcano hidden away from the rest of the world, and then he's referencing Red Son.

NEZHA HAS FRIENDSHIP BRACELETS. He doesn't go anywhere without them. They have charms on them that match people he cares about. He has charms for Iron Fan, Erlang Shen, MK, Red Son, Mei, Sandy, SWK, and charms for two OCs, Lian Lanhua who belongs to that-one-enby-onyx, and Bai Xian, my snake pseudo nun who has some really great lore I'll go into detail about in another ask. If I named my snake badly, please inform me. (Bai Xian is she/he/they, Lian is she/her)

Ramble over, I hope you enjoyed this completely self indulgent tangent about my interpretation of Nezha ft. OC mentions + MK, Red, and Erlang.

Honestly, I accepted my fate the second you sent your first ask xjxjdjjd. I will gladly listen to all blorbo ramblings.

I absolutely adore it when people make Nezha and MK have a brother like bond. And I really really like the way that you have him interacting with Erlang Shen! (He also absolutely deserves All of the soda in the universe.)

His iffy relationship with Mei also makes complete sense! And the fact that he feels close enough to Red Son and MK to consider their homes his secondary homes is delightful.

I do genuinely enjoy your rambles! And your OCs sound interesting.

As for names, I suggest double-checking possible characters in Mandarin and Cantonese and the like for the chosen name and cross reference those with other words/names to make sure it all makes sense together! There is a little bit of leeway with stories like LMK since half of the characters have names like "demon bull king", so it's ok if a name doesn't make 100% complete sense as a normal name in our universe, but it is still always good to check! You never wanna have that moment when you realize your character's name accidentally translates to something unintentionally weird like Canned Fish because you didn't google it (I actually saw somebody legitimately name their character this in another fandom before someone pointed it out).
