The way I see people say that Silco was just blatantly manipulating Jinx the whole time, but actually he genuinely believed a majority of the things he told her (he was heavily projecting as he saw himself in her as he went through something similar with Vander) when he tells Jinx everyone leaves or betrays us, its just us (or smth like that), he genuinely believes it, he's not just trying to keep Jinx close, he feels it's true after what happened with Vander & Vi and is projecting that onto Jinx, when he tells Jinx to let Powder die its because he also left his old self die, hes definitely not like the young Silco we see in flashbacks, after Vander tried to kill him he clearly changed and put who he was behind him for something new, for something stronger, he's far from perfect (obviously) and wasn't the healthiest option for Jinx but he really wasn't this master manipulator some make him out to be (when it came to Jinx)

Hey, so I played Under Her Heart again because while I can and will wait for the rewrite, my stupid brain and dark heart is missing Syd badly. Anyway, I have a little question about the ending. Is that how Syd really feels about "love" or is that just, hmmm, I don't know how to word it better--sorry I'm more Swedish than English--but, it is canon of her or is it just made up? Does that make sense? Also, I was going to give my Roe my first name but it just sounded funny, Thor Roe. Well, I do thoroughly love all your work Tierra, proud to be supporting you (;

No, it's not made up. The way she words it in the story is pretty spot on to her thoughts about it though I may "update" the wording since I have a better understanding of Syd's viewpoint.

DISCLAIMER: Syd is aro, periodt. Not all aro's feel the same, describe their feelings towards romance the same, and just because someone is aro doesn't mean they'll never make meaningful connections. That's like saying all asexuals don't have sex. It's 2024, update yourself.

But Syd has been aro from the start but she believes and is not entirely wrong that her childhood is why she feels that way. The trauma and that toxic kind of love has infected her way of thinking but she has already gone through the work of understanding that what she had wasn't love. She BELIEVES she hasn't due to still not liking romance and everything that comes with it.

If you want Syd to drop down and declare her love for you and to remind you everyday that she's going to love and cherish you then it's not going to happen. That's not Syd. Syd adores Roe and will be by their side but she's not about to scream her love from the mountaintops, nor will she always respond well to a Roe that does the same. It is also true that the way she treats Roe save for her sexual actions, are also how she will treat a Roe that's a close friend. If that's not what you want then cool, there are other LI's who will do it. Not her.

Also this is not directed at you anon I just see so many people who kinda out themselves as questionable towards aro people through how they treated Syd when they found out and I'm giving them the side eye. Like she's some heartless monster all of a sudden cos she won't say "I fucking love you." There's nothing wrong with liking romance, but don't judge others for not feeling the same about it.

okay everyone saying that eclipse is going to adopt solar flare as his fifth child and they're going to have a similar dynamic as the rest of his children-hear me out hEAR ME OUT-

Solar Flare knew Eclipse from Eclipse's second iteration. That was nearly two years ago. They were forced headmates for months. Solar Flare is probably on of the few people (second or arguably more than Lunar as well as Ruin) who actually understands the way Eclipse thinks.

Remember those interactions they had in that laboratory on the sun? Remember that last moment they shared before being blown apart in that alternate dimension? There's no way either of them forgot that. For Flare, that's probably one of the freshest memories he has of Eclipse. Being there and providing the comfort he could and assuring Eclipse that he understood his intentions and that he really could have been a better person if he'd wanted to be.

It's been two years. It's not the same Eclipse. That Eclipse had a star and a superiority complex and an inability to find a new purpose. This Eclipse has four children and a pet dog and a platonic co-parent friend and is quietly grieving over so many events that happened so quickly. And Solar Flare is such a stark reminder of the past for him. Someone who would have encouraged him to be better, someone who saw past the visions of grandiosity and found the person who just wanted to prove himself to be as capable as who he used to be. And he isn't that person anymore. It's been two years and two more iterations of himself and he is so tired of being what he used to be.

So I don't think he and Solar Flare would be a father-son dynamic. I think they're just two people on two opposite ends of time who crossed paths once and nodded in solemn understanding the second time. And this time, Eclipse is crossing paths, and Flare is walking with him.

There’s SO much to talk about with this chapter but there’s one thing I want to focus on.

I WANT TO START OFF BY SAYING HOW MUCH I LOVE THAT WE ARE GETTING A LOOK INTO THEIR LIVES! BUDDY AND VIOLET INTERACTING! IN THEIR LIVING SPACE!

AND NOT ONLY THAT, THEY ARE LITERALLY IN THE SAME LIBRARY!! THAT CHASE GOT SILVER IN!!

LOSING MY MIND

Ok but to what I really want to talk about is seeing Nox and Violets dynamic. We are so used to Buddy, Snarky-Dramatic-Cat-Guy-Who-Loves-To-Bother-Chase, that when we get to see little guy Nox making a star out of chocolate and timidly trying to convince Violet that Chase may not be evil IT BLEW MY MIND. Watching how Violet acts. THE PEICES ALL CAME TOGETHER

BUDDY STOLE HIS DIVANESS DROM VIOLET!! He puts on this “Violetesque” persona! I could have chosen different panels but these were the ones that came to mind first. His old timey speech with complicated vocabulary might be his own, but he speaks less like that when he’s out of the book. But you know who does speak like that?? VIOLET! And you know who else is kind of mean and catty? VIOLET!

I do think that Violet is actually kind of genuinely mean. We see that she is a bit vain from the way she checks herself out in the mirror and steals the crown from the snow globe. She talks down to Nox and orders him around a bit too. I think they are her “villainess” charms. Though, I believe that her distrust is super valid. I’m sure she’s had plenty of bad experiences with humans.

It’s just so mind blowing to me that we can see them outside of the books like this, and be themselves. I can see where Nox gets his Buddy persona from. He’s like, “Ah yes as the villainess I must act like Violet. She is literally the prime example of what I must do!!” I know that Punko says he takes his role very seriously, so this is def his way of being the perfect villainess. And maybe trying to hide that he isn’t human, fumbling around like ahaha I totally know what I’m doing yes. I’m better than you and know what I’m doing. Yea. What? I’m weird? No, you are you little brat.

Alright , that’s all I have to say for now. Hastily made this around 1 am last night bc I HAD to get my thoughts out while I have a moment. So if any of this makes no sense lmk! Or if you want to see me ramble more about it/ other things. I have SO MANH THOUGHTS ABOUT THIS EP! Okay I HAVE to go on a little tangent here.

I am all for people having their head-canons or au’s. Genuinely in the works of fiction, I say fair game, especially when it comes to anything Harry Potter because I don’t care for jk Rowling due to a list of reasons. (this is to an extent. I don’t f with degenerate shit)

But there’s one thing that’s bothered me for YEARS. and it’s this singular mischaracterization of albus potter.

It is one of my biggest gripes and will always be; ‘albus would be the next dark lord if this-‘ or ‘albus would use dark magic-‘, NO HE WOULDN’T?? Can a boy not be mentally ill without being pinned as a murderer in the making? God forbid we get borderline up in here.

Genuinely, when did he ever show any sign of homicidal-ness? Yes, while the whole time turner saving Cedric Diggory thing was in ways self motivated, he was straight up trying to prevent a guy from dying. ‘He’d do it to spite Harry and his family-‘ girl, if you don’t get outta here. Oh I can totally see a bitter and petty adult albus, but I see him being bitter and petty and working a 9-5 and being a hermit. NOT being the newest dark wizard.

He’s just a highly insecure, introverted, angsty teenage boy. Under a lot of scrutiny. How do you expect the kid to act, honestly. He’s also a little dweeb (lovingly) and at the end of the day, if we surpass all the morals he obviously has and has been taught to him from birth, along with his compassion he shows, do you really think that kids going to want all that attention on him?
