the notes on that work post are so depressing, it always amazes me that people can work like 45+ hours a week plus do school and other shit and think that's just like fine and normal. you need to rest!!!!!!! rest your body and your brain please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! i know that paycheck is important i know you gotta do what you gotta do but please understand that you're working more than any human really should (or can while maintaining a healthy lifestyle) and you should be very gentle with yourself imo. just remember to rest and remember to eat ok i love u all
#this is also me @ half my coworkers who work 2 jobs and have kids and like 12 different hobbies#you guys are sleeping enough right? 🤨 you're taking time to read a book or watch a movie and not think about your work? 🤨#you're eating enough and not skipping meals in order to get to your jobs on time RIGHT? 🤨🤨🤨🤨#honestly this is my only well-adjusted trait i think#ive gotten very very good at knowing my limits and pushing myself to do things without going past my limits#tho my limits are (imo) quite limited compared to a lot of other people to be fair lmao#but still i really strongly believe in the importance of rest i knowww how much it helps to make time to recharge#and i don't just mean sleep i also mean downtime#and just like having time to not be Doing Something Productive#where you don't feel guilty about it#bri babbles

Clearing Your Gut | THE IT GIRL DIARIES

Your gut is connected to multiple parts of your body, the main areas are your immune system, your heart and your brain but it has affects on a lot of other areas aswell, such as your skin, metabolism, hair.
I had an unhealthy gut and it was very noticeable, through my skin, weight all the way down to my emotional state.
It's very important to take care of your gut, it affects your body inwards and outwards.
Here are a few things I did to clear my gut that could help you too
Began eating balanced meals ( make sure your meals have a mix of healthy carbs, protein and healthy fats such as avocado or beans ect )
Cut out sugar ( I have a very sweet tooth so I was consuming artificial sugar almost EVERY DAY and that affected me so much, especially my skin and it showed. Cut out artificial sugar and try replacing it with healthy glucose foods such as strawberries, watermelon, oranges, berries or make your own sweets mixed with honey, lemon and ginger, similar to cough drops. If you can't cut out sugar completely, limit your intake instead )
Began drinking green juices ( i drink one everyday but a few times a week is more than enough )
Added leafy greens into all of my meals including my snacks ( if you're already consuming a lot of greens then you're more than welcome to skip the green juices )
Exercise ( when i say exercise, i don't mean you have to be hitting the gym everyday for 2 hours, i jump on a bike for 15-30 min and it does the job, the goal is just to move your body so that your body burns fat instead of storing it )
Fixed my sleeping schedule ( i used to have really bad insomnia, your brain needs atleast 8 hours of rest to reprogram and function well for the next day )
GINGER ( i include ginger into my green juices and it's a game changer, but if you're not planning on drinking green juices, try incorporating ginger elsewhere, such as ginger tea or even just eating a tiny block will do )
Limit alcohol intake and quit smoking! ( this is very important, nicotine and tabbaco can have major negative affects on your health but this should be common sense )
Lastly Water ( this shouldn't be something that's new, we need water, our bodies need water in order to flush out bacteria and hydrate our body but make sure you drink enough, I started drinking atleast 2-3 liters everyday. Tip: get an aesthetic everyday water bottle that's atleast 1 litre, this will hopefully encourage you to drink water )
remember that everyone's body is different and some people might need to make more changes in their lifestyle in order to clear their gut, do you research and try making changes that cater to your needs.

Set It Up
Supergirl. Kara Danvers x Reader.
Word Count: 3440.
Notes: Totally inspired by the movie Set it Up. But I changed some stuff to fit better. Part 2 coming soon.
Kara stares out the window as another workday ends for the lucky ones. For her, escaping the office seems more unlikely by the second. She glances at Cat Grant, who is busy typing on her computer, and sighs. She wishes she could be at home watching an old movie with her sister, but she's not one of the lucky ones.
"Kiera, where is my dinner? Are you trying to starve me to death?"
"Oh, I didn't know-–" Kara adjusts her glasses and begins writing down. "What should I order, Ms. Grant?"
"I don't care. Anything. As long as it has a cheeseburger in it."
"So, a cheeseburger?"
"Kiera." Cat shoots her a disapproving look. "Don't make me do your job, that's what I pay you for."
"Of course, Ms. Grant." Kara leaves the office and immediately calls the nearest restaurant to get the food delivered as quickly as possible.
Meanwhile, on the lower level of the building, your boss yells at you because he too wants dinner, even though he said half an hour ago that he wouldn't be eating at his desk tonight.
"I'm on it!" You dash downstairs, grateful for an excuse to leave the office for a few minutes. You've been cooped up so long, the office smell is starting to make you sick.
You rush through the lobby and overhear a heated argument between a blonde girl and a food delivery guy. Food! You need food!
"Come on! I order from you guys every day. I just don't have cash this one time, but look, I have three credit cards."
"If you order from us every day, you know we only accept cash."
You step closer. "Whose food is that?"
The delivery guy doesn't miss a beat, "Yours, if you have 40 bucks to pay for it."
"Oh, I have cash! I have so much cash!" You pull your boss's wallet from your pocket and pay for the food with a grin. The delivery guy leaves in a hurry, and you head back to the elevator. This was easy, except…
"No. No, wait." The blonde girl runs after you. "That's my boss's food and if I'm not upstairs with it in two minutes, she'll fire me, right after she kills me!"
"No, she won't. Just look at you. You just have to charm her with a smile and skip around the office and she'll give you a promotion." You say, the blonde girl looks at you in disbelief. "Just do some tricks!"
"Some tricks? What am I, a monkey?"
"I don't know what you are." You stare at her button-up shirt, tight blue cardigan showing off her muscles. Why does Blondie here have so many muscles? "Some kind of superhero?" Her eyes widen at you and she adjusts her glasses. "That is dumb enough to forget you need cash to pay for food."
"Hey!" You turn your back to her, satisfied with the bag of food in your hand. "Okay, look. There are two dinners there. One for me and one for my boss. What if we share?"
You raise your eyebrows. Why share when you just paid for it? Granted, it was her food first, but it's not your fault she didn't have cash. The food would’ve just gone back to the restaurant anyway.
"I'll get the burger and you get the pasta. That way none of us get fired!"
You sigh. The last thing you want is to get fired, and no matter how hungry you are, you also don't want to be responsible for someone else getting fired today.
"Fine, but you owe me money." You get into the elevator, and watch the blonde girl clinging to the meal you handed her. "Hope you don't get fired!"
Your boss doesn't eat. He makes you almost get someone fired and then, out of the blue, he gets up from his chair while you're only halfway through with mouth-watering pasta and says he's going home.
You drag yourself back to your desk, eat the pasta alone, then finally make your way out of the office. One more long day, in a very extensive list of long days.
It's late at night again and everyone from the office has already left. You're making copies for a presentation. Even though everything is digital these days, your boss insists on being in the Stone Age, probably single-handedly killing a hundred trees at a time.
"Here." You hear a voice and almost jump out of your skin. Then, you feel money being shoved into your hand. "I'm paying off my debt."
You check your watch; it's so late, why is Blondie still here? "What are you doing here? Are you like a janitor or something?"
She blinks at you. "I'm not a janitor." Obviously, a janitor wouldn’t have such a big collection of button-ups. "I'm Kara Danvers. I'm Cat Grant's assistant, that's why I'm always the last one here."
"No, you're not. 'Cause I'm always the last one here." You let out a breath you didn't know you were holding and raise your hand to her at the same time, "Y/N."
"So, do you work at a newspaper? Magazine?" You shake your head. "Why are you wasting so much paper?"
"Because my boss is a buffoon who loves to make me copy things and then shred them." You roll your eyes. "I swear he is driving me up the fucking wall!"
Kara winces at your curse word, and you wonder why you're telling her this. Actually, you know why. Goldilocks here is the first human you've interacted with all week who isn't 1) your boss, 2) someone your boss made you yell at over the phone, or 3) coworkers who are smiling through the pain, like you.
"Well," She doesn’t stop following you to your desk, even though the business between you two is resolved. "Why don't you quit?"
"And survive on what? Breaking into little bears' houses and eating their food?" You ask, and Kara looks at you confused. Right, she doesn’t know you’ve been secretly calling her Blondie and Goldilocks. "I mean, I need the money. Besides, the company is huge. If I survive his ire long enough, maybe I can change positions and be something else."
"Yeah." She lets out a breath, like she understands completely, pulls up a chair—without an invitation—and sits in front of you. "I just want to be promoted to a reporter."
"See, you get it. You're still here in the building too!"
She looks at her watch, "Except my boss is taking a nap and I have to wake her up in 30 minutes. You know who doesn’t get to nap? Me!"
You laugh, opening up to someone you barely know it's weird, but it's like she gets you. She understands better than your friends, really. "The only thing I don’t want is to be 24 and still an assistant. That’s just sad."
She pouts. "I'm 24 and I'm an assistant."
"Oh my God, I'm so sorry." You smirk. "For you. That’s really sad for you."
Kara grins at you. The office falls silent except for the occasional yells through the walls. She looks at his door, puzzled. "Who is he talking to, this late at night?"
"Not his family, no. Because he doesn't have one. Which is not surprising since he never leaves this office." You put your hands on your face, "I'll die here, won’t I?"
"Yeah, Ms. Grant never leaves either. And she has two children. I swear, I have no idea how she does it."
"She doesn’t." You raise your head at Kara. "You do it. You organize her schedule, you wake her up from naps, you order her food, you're basically in charge of her life and oh my God, are you thinking what I'm thinking?"
She isn't. Blondie is blinking at you cluelessly.
"Let’s lock them in a room together so they can have sex." You say with a maniac smile, and Kara rolls her eyes. "Just think about it. While they're boning, we're free!"
"This is ridiculous." She makes her way out of the office as you yell, "byeeee."
There’s an emergency, and Kara urgently needs to put on her cape and fly out the window, but Cat won’t stop talking. Despite Kara’s repeated assurances of 'yes, Ms. Grant, I understand', Cat keeps repeating herself, leaving no room for error on Kara’s part.
But Kara will mess this up—she has to. There’s a fire in a hospital, and every second spent here increases the casualties, all of which she’ll blame on herself. Kara is in desperate need of flexibility at work. Desperate!
This is what she tells herself, when after putting out the fire in the hospital, she decides to look for you through your work corridors, instead of going back to CatCo and doing what her boss asked.
“I’m in,” Kara says, appearing behind you. You jump, but your excitement quickly overrides your surprise. "I'm in on your scheme."
"We need a meet-cute," you start, mind so far off you don't notice if Kara is following you. But she is. "You know, an interesting situation that is kind of humorous but also romantic and then –"
"Yeah, I—" Kara interrupts you, and you look back at Blondie adjusting her glasses. "I've seen enough romantic comedies to know what a meet-cute is."
Goldilocks is well versatile in romantic movies, so it isn't hard for you two to set up a few ideas in motion so that both of your bosses can get stuck somewhere together. Options are: elevator, office, airplane, charity event. The last one sounds unlikely given your boss is an asshole and would be caught dead helping people, but Kara guarantees he would go to a charity event if Supergirl was there, and somehow she can tell you exactly when Supergirl will attend one. Nerd alert!
Kara makes friends with the building administrator, which isn't shocking at all to you. Blondie has that blissful little vibe around her. She's kind, overly excited, and always ready to talk about any subject. So, when she guides you to the lower level of the building, to a moldy, smelly, never-ending room, you can't help but wonder if she isn't part of a cult and you're the sacrifice.
"You're not gonna kill me down here, are you?" Your voice comes out nasally as you cover your nose against the smell.
"Why would I kill you?"
"I don't know. You're blonde, pretty, chatty, kind. No one would suspect you." You look around the empty space. "But it would be such a bummer to die in this building. Please, if you ever think about killing me, just do it anywhere but here."
"I'll keep that in mind next time I need to satisfy my bloodlust."
"See! You are kind, Kara Danvers." You touch her arm for effect and are met with rock-solid biceps. Oh wow, you were not expecting this. "They'll never catch you."
"Okay, time to actually do what we're here for." She points at the screens, and you see both you and her boss waiting for the elevator. You sit on the chair in front of it, glad she made friends with the building manager so there's no one around, and make the elevator stop at CatCo.
"Wait, wait. Where is she going?" you ask Kara when Cat Grant doesn't get inside.
"Oh, I forgot —" You look up with questioning eyes. "She has her own elevator."
You close your eyes to avoid rolling them. "Great," you say, defeated. "Excellent plan."
"Sorry." The apology comes in a whisper from above, so heartbroken you can't be mad anymore.
"It's okay. To be fair, it felt a little dirty doing that. Maybe we should just schedule a meeting or something." You're up and making your way to the flat of stairs in no time, while Kara promptly follows you. You can't wait to get out of this smelly place.
"What would your boss even have to say to Cat Grant? No offense, but he is a basic finance guy."
"I'm not offended, I wish I was a basic finance guy. I would be getting paid a lot more money and wouldn't it be easier to just be a guy?" She nods affirmatively. "Alright then, I'm here for whatever crazy ideas you might have."
"Cat is a confident, independent woman. I'm having a time seeing why she would even need a man."
You raise one eyebrow at her. "What planet are you from?"
"Uh, this—this one." She adjusts the glasses on her face, and you bite back a smile from the answer to your rhetorical question.
"Kara, I know there are many sex toys these days," Her entire face gets bright red in a split second. "but sometimes people want the real thing." You master your most innocent eyes, even though she can't look at your face from embarrassment. "You know, I bet you'd rather do it with your boyfriend."
Her jaw unclenches just enough so she can say, "I don't have a boyfriend or—or anyone."
"Yeah, I get it. Who has time to go out and flirt when your boss wants your head on a stick, right?" When you open the door to the outside world, you smile at the sun and the absence of smell. "Okay, time to get to work. Text me any ideas!"
You spend the day texting. In fact, you spend the week talking to Kara. Between texting each other from the minute you wake up to when you go to sleep; joining coffee runs; and 15-minute lunch breaks taken at the same time, you two come up with a plan. Everyone knows who Cat Grant is. She might as well have a secret admirer.
You send her flowers imitating your boss's handwriting. Cat smirks to herself when Kara waltzes in her office with a pretty bouquet, "But of course he is impressed with me, Kiera. I'm an impressive woman."
"You are, Ms. Grant! Should I send anything back as a thank you?" Kara tries and receives an eyebrow raise. "Or just an acknowledgment. You know, I read somewhere his company is well known in the finance world. Having someone like him as a source someday…"
"Send him something. Anything." She goes back to her computer and mutters to herself. "I might need him eventually."
"Great idea, Ms. Grant." Kara smiles even though she knows it was all her.
"Of course it's a great idea, I thought of it. Now go Kiera, you've distracted me enough with this nonsense."
Kara almost floats out of her office, and sets the second part of the plan in motion.
It is definitely not hard to convince your boss that someone like Cat Grant knows him. Men always think the world revolves around them, and this one is particularly full of himself.
You coordinate your schedules and send them to the same restaurant for different meetings. You and Kara find a place outside of it where you can spy on them with your binoculars. Kara doesn't have any spy attire, but still can do a perfect lip read of their conversation.
"They are trying to set up a date." She informs you, and you move your binoculars to their lips to figure out how she is doing this so perfectly, when you can barely see them right. "Can't agree on a place."
"Maybe we should pick for them."
"Uh," She complains. "Cat is getting angry. He is not letting her choose. Oh, she just called him a caveman."
"He is." You agree, then raise your head up. "That's not good, we have to fix this. Think!"
"They both like Noonan's. We always pick their coffee from that place. Maybe they need to think about coffee instead of dinner."
"Wait," You grab your phone and look at his agenda. Then shoot him a text. "Just canceled one of his meetings for later, and told him he'll have time during his usual coffee run."
You two watch him look at the phone, then raises his head at Cat. Kara repeats his words to you, "How about coffee?"
"I like —"
"Noonan's." They say unison and you look at Kara with a smile. Yep, you two are good!
Later that day, Kara receives a, "Kiera, I'm going out for my own coffee. I want to see if they can't make the coffee the way I like it, or if it's due to your incompetence that it is either impressively cold or burning hot when you give them to me."
At the same time you get a, "Hold everything off for the rest of the day. I'm going for coffee with a woman and it might turn into something else. If you know what I mean."
Gross.
You and Kara follow them to the coffee shop, but keep your distance and a few newspapers up to cover your faces.
The date does not go well. Cat is indeed a strong independent woman, and your boss is indeed a buffoon who doesn't think women should be either strong nor independent. You and Kara leave the place before it all blows up on your faces.
"Ok, it seems that getting them together is not enough. We'll have to actually Cyrano them."
You nod your head the slightest. "Mhm, yeah. Totally."
She quirks an eyebrow at you. "You know what that means right?"
"Yeah. Two assistants getting their bosses together and—"
"What? No. I've texted you so many times by now!" She laughs at you. "We coach them. Like when a nerdy boy in a movie feeds the hot guy the lines, so he can get the nice girl."
"Oh, is that what you think we're doing?" Kara shakes her head in agreement. "Absolutely not. We're Parent Trapping them."
"What? It's not the Parent Trap! We didn't switch places."
"Yeah, cause we're not twins. I think Cat would notice if we switched an almost-superhero with a clown."
Kara looks so offended, "I'm no clown!"
You furrow your eyes at her. Blondie really is a special kind of girl, isn't she?
So back at the board you go. And that does not involve an actual board, Goldilocks! It's just an expression.
"I read in a book that there are two types of compliments to give to a woman," Kara starts, and you nod, writing it down. "The things she already knows about herself that she needs confirmed, and the things she doesn't think anybody else notices about her." You raise your eyes at her.
"I see. So the first would be like," She turns to you focusing her attention. "How you have expressive baby blue eyes and I can tell what you're thinking even before you say it." She opens her mouth a few times, but no words come out. "And the second would be like, how sometimes you're so hyperfocus that only one of your eyes blink."
"That's —" Kara gets so flushed that even the points of her ears turn a shade of red. "I -– Yeah — Sure -– I guess."
"Oh, or how you turn into a stumbling mess when you get complimented?" You raise your eyes at her as her cheeks get even a darker shade of red, blush crippling down her neck. She smooths her hand over her cardigan. "Yeah, that one too!" You point at her hand. "You fix your glasses and then smooth your hand over your clothes when you're nervous. Or sometimes you turn your hands into fists and –"
"Ok, yeah!" Kara stops you, face so red you wonder where else her blush has reached. "You — You got it!" She whispers to herself. "You definitely got it."
You smile to yourself knowing that what you really accomplished was getting under her skin. And you think you love that even more than you love the fact that getting your bosses together is giving you more free time.
"Alright then, how about this as a card, 'I like how independent you are, and I love how effortless you make it seem." You start writing down trying to nail his handwriting.
"I think you did that better with me."
"Yeah well, I haven't been spending all my time with Cat Grant. Thank God." You show her the card. "Look, this will be fine. He also hasn't spent a lot of time with her, it would be weird if he had noticed the different ways she blinks her eyes and what they all mean."
Kara first raises her eyebrows in shock, but then she agrees to your prerogative with a nod, unable to form a sentence.
And just like that, they have another date.

so I have been Thinking a lot about food as love and our thought about Kenta getting really into baking and then I was like. there should be a story where Kenta learns love through food. a series of meals with different people.
it starts with Pete. (everything started with Pete, for Kenta) Kenta's still like, half-here half-not after killing his father, and Pete's a walking open wound with the loss of Way (the loss of what could have been) and they sit mostly in silence in Pete's open plan kitchen while Pete puts together the ingredients that were left already prepped for him. a simple stir fry, a little soup to start. it's warm and filling; it fills in a little bit of what Kenta didn't realise was hunger. it's easy to be with Pete in quiet.
then it's Alan's place, a family dinner where the empty seats are conspicuous and everyone talks a little too loud and vibrant to cover it up. it's a lot to deal with. Kenta hasn't had anything like this and it's just, it's a /lot/ of noise and people brushing against him as they serve each other. he's seated next to Jeff, who keeps his body to himself, and North, who doesn't think to do that at all. half the table carries the whole conversation but nobody seems to mind that Kenta can't contribute. he escapes to the back verandah while the main course is cleared and Sonic and Alan good-naturedly bicker over who might want which dessert. he lights a cigarette and smoke it but mostly just holds it, letting the smell of the smoke settle over him, far more familiar than the mess of scents of everyone inside.
"smoking kills, you know." Kim comes out so quiet he's right next to Kenta before he realises. Kenta stays still (prey animal in front of a predator) while Kim's neat hand reaches up and plucks the cigarette from his mouth. he stubs it out in the ashtray that's clearly well-used.
"I think that will take longer than I have," Kenta answers honestly.
[SKIPPING THE SAD PART FOR NOW]
Kenta genuinely does not remember agreeing to the weekly lunches with Babe (and Charlie when he's not working) yet he turns up for them dutifully regardless. Babe's not much of a cook, and Kenta can't bring himself to learn in such a strange (a stranger's) kitchen, so they mostly order in. they started out eating in front of the tv, using it as a conversation piece, but gradually they stop taking their plates from the bench to the couch, and instead they sit and. actually talk.
for a while they skirt around the topic of Tony, and Way, and Kenta's guilt over not getting out sooner, and Babe's guilt over letting him stay. they talk about the garage and racing (Kenta can drive but he's never going to understand cars the way Babe does) and the miraculous return of Babe's actual father, and the options their lives now hold. it takes quite a few shared lunches before Kenta feels bold enough to lightly tease Babe about Charlie, and Babe blushes a little but mostly he glows. then he fires back, "and what about Kim, huh?"
Kenta chokes on his spoonful of rice. "I don't---what do you mean? What about...him."
Babe waves his fork like he's commanding troops. "I can see you two at the garage! I'm not blind, you know. And Sonic told me about your /dinner dates/."
Kenat stuffs some more food into his mouth in the fruitless hope Babe will get distracted before he has to answer. No such luck. "They're not...dates. He's just, um. Showing me good places to eat."
"Right," Babe drawls, looking far too smug. "Because you need a foreign guy to show you around the city you've always lived in."
Are they dates? Kenta thinks surely Kim would have said something, if they were. Like yes Kenta makes sure he's dressed nicely (his best black pants and shirt, his shows polished) and Kim always generously offers to drive them there ("no sense in both of us trying to find parking)", and Kim always pays ("well, I'm the only one here with an actual job. it's fine! I didn't mean---you don't need to do anything you're not ready for.") and sometimes they sit opposite each other at a small table and their knees brush under it and Kim looks very very pretty in the soft lighting even if Kenta's not brave enough to tell him that. yet.
(okay I hope that helps as a distraction I have to disappear to the grocery store lol)
INCOHERENT NOISES i'm cuddling this ask
yes???? this is beautiful
EVERYTHING STARTED WITH PETE, FOR KENTA!!! I'M CRYING
prey animal in front of a predator fdgkdfg i LOVE. also yes i see you fulfilling the need you (and i) have had for months for kim to put out kenta's cigarrette.
THE SAD PART… GOD….. MY HEART. hits close to home in a personal way
"kenta genuinely does not remember agreeing to the weekly lunches" my mom does this jedi mind trick shit all the time "don't you remember you said you'd do xyz?" LMFAO.
kenta viewing babe as a stranger ouch oh my god………. it's true but it hurts
kenta teasing babe about his boyfriend 😭 slowly learning healthy sibling behavior 🥺
KENTAKIM DINNER DATES!!!!! KENTA GETTING FLUSTERED WHEN BABE MENTIONS KIM!!!! KIM TELLING SONIC ABOUT HIS DINNER DATES WITH KENTA!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M GUSHING gosh they're so smitten with each other… Kim taking things slow because he doesn't want to push Kenta, so he just…. doesn't refer to them as dates AND THEN KENTA DOESN'T KNOW IF THEY'RE DATES OR NOT. just gals being pals, what's better than this
god I love food as an expression of love so much….. Kenta being fed by people, included in meals, even if it's nothing grand, it's more than he's ever had.
North puts food on Kenta's plate without even thinking about it, and Kenta just stares at it at first, wondering if it was an accident and North had meant to give it to someone else, but Sonic just fusses at his to eat already.
When Kim puts food on Kenta's plate, he's definitely thinking about it, and Kenta can tell he's thinking about it, and it's loaded and intimate in a way that Kenta didn't realize food could be, there's a weight to it when he puts the tender morsel in his mouth, deeply conscious of Kim's eyes on him.
Kenta didn't grow up with the luxury of having a favorite food. Under threat of punishment, he learned to eat whatever he was given. As he got older and earned more freedom, he was able to eat out on his own, and he found dishes that he gravitated towards, but it just never occurred to him that he could ask a restaurant to make something a particular way. That he could ask for extra garlic, or fewer chilies, or to sub the chicken for pork. If there's something he doesn't like about the way a dish is made, he just orders a different thing the next time. He does in fact have a lot of preferences and has had very little joy when it comes to food. It's utilitarian to him, and as long as he doesn't have to put much thought into it, that's all that matters.
Kim tries to ask Kenta what he likes and doesn't like, and it's always like pulling teeth because Kenta doesn't think it's important, he can eat whatever Kim wants to make.
But I think Jeff would get it, that Kenta doesn't actually know much about what his own preferences are because he wasn't allowed to have them. He sees Kenta slowly picking at his food sometimes but still forcing himself to eat everything. So he just quietly and regularly reinforces that Kenta is allowed to ask for things to be made a particular way. That it's not a trap when someone asks him what he likes. That he can try things different ways until he figures out the nuances of what he really enjoys.
I hope this makes sense dfgdfgdgf anyways THANK YOU SO MUCH this was indeed a big help, you know dissecting Kenta is my favorite pasttime. I hope you defeated the grocery store!!!

Chapter title: I Just Work Here
AO3 Link
Getty | Cache | Pixel
Pixel should've known by now to expect some eventfulness in her life after working with Cache for so long. Honestly, though, it's not as if anyone could blame her for failing to predict all of this…
(Minor TW for alcoholism, specifically in the second section if you're looking to skip that)
On any other day, Pixel would have been smiling as she walked home. She loved her job at Virtual Pets, and she loved working with Cache, even though all the cleaning and upkeep took quite a lot out of her. It was always rewarding to make a sale, but equally as rewarding to her when she was able to clock out at the end of a good day’s work.
Today, however, she just couldn’t find it in herself to smile.
Cache had been so stressed earlier, looking genuinely frightened for their Lightner friend’s safety around that…“Spamton” guy. It was rare to see Cache get legitimately scared, so the event had stuck in the back of Pixel’s mind all day long. As a matter of fact, she was still turning it over in her head by the time she walked in the door to her apartment, going through her usual ‘getting home’ motions on autopilot.
She didn’t think that you were someone they needed to be worried about, especially not to that degree—you might have been very kindhearted, but it wasn’t as if you were lacking in basic self-preservation skills. After all, you’d quit your job at the diner just the other day, hadn’t you? Didn’t that prove that you could leave situations that you knew were bad for you?
Pixel was startled out of her swirling thoughts when her phone buzzed with an incoming text. As it turned out, it was from her brother, Blue.
Are you still up for dinner tonight, Pixie?
I don’t know if you saw earlier, but everyone
else is too busy to make it, so I thought
I’d check with you one on one.
Of course I am!
I wish the others could be there, obviously,
but it’ll still be nice even if it’s just the two of us.
Glad to hear it! I’ll see you soon, then!
See you soon!!
Pixel sighed as she finally sat down, feeling some of her tension drain away. It was always nice to spend time with Blue—she was already looking forward to it, as a matter of fact.
The next couple of hours seemed to fly by, as she tidied her apartment and spent a while just resting and decompressing before she had to go out in public again. When it was time to leave, she pulled on a slightly more relaxed outfit than her usual work uniform, consisting of a fluffy grey sweater and a nice white skirt. There wasn’t quite the same pressure to be professional when it was just her and her brothers, which she suspected that they all enjoyed (even if some of them didn’t like to let on about that kind of thing very often).
Blue was already at the restaurant by the time she arrived, ready to give her a warm smile and pull her into a tight hug. “It’s so good to see you, Pixie.” he said softly, stepping back to look her in the eye.
“It’s good to see you too.” she replied, as the two of them moved inside to go find themselves a table. Once they’d exchanged the usual pleasantries and sat down, she added, “Hey, I’ve been wondering all week if you’d have any new weird customer stories! The one you told last time was fantastic.”
“Fantastic for you, maybe!” Blue shot back, but he never lost his smile. “I was the one who had to live through it!”
Pixel giggled as she sat down. “That doesn’t answer my question, though!”
Blue shook his head fondly. “Very well. I don't know if this will live up to your expectations, but something interesting happened just the other day…”
The two of them swapped stories for a while, pausing only twice—to order their food and to eat when it arrived. Halfway through her meal, though, Pixel wondered whether or not she should bring up what had happened earlier today. It wasn’t exactly a fun story, but while she wasn’t old enough to know who Spamton was, her brother would be! He was a few years older than Cache, after all.
She paused eating for a moment, calling her brother’s name. “Blue?”
He looked up halfway in the middle of lifting a bite of food to his mouth. “Yes, Pixie? Is everything alright?” he asked, setting his fork back down with a concerned look on his face.
“Yeah, it’s just—I actually had something weird happen today, and I was wondering if you could help me figure it out.”
“Of course, you know I’d be happy to help however I can.” he said, relaxing slightly.
“So, just earlier today, my boss and their Lightner friend—you know her, right?” When Blue nodded in affirmation, she continued. “They were talking about this guy earlier today, and I’ve never heard of him before, but I thought you might have. I’m pretty sure his name was Spamton, if that rings any bells?”
Pixel had expected her brother to either apologize and say he didn’t know anything about it, or to provide her a few tidbits of information he’d picked up over the years. What she hadn’t expected was for quite a bit of the color to drain from his face as he stared at her.
“Did you say—Spamton?” he asked, in the smallest voice she’d ever heard.
“I…did.” She felt a little uneasy. “I’m guessing this means you’ve heard of him?”
Blue sighed, bowing his head. “Heard of him? Much more than that, I’m afraid. We used to know each other a long time ago. Of course, you were too young to have seen him at his height, and you hadn’t even been programmed back when we were…when we were friends.”
“You were friends with him?” Pixel asked, leaning in closer.
“Not just me. Pink, Orange, Yellow, they were all part of our little group, too. We were all trying to succeed together, but he, well, he seemed to struggle much more than the rest of us. At least, at first that was the case. Then, out of nowhere, he suddenly made so many sales that he became the richest Addison in all of Cyber City.”
“But I don’t get it—that sounds like a good thing!” she exclaimed. “What happened next?”
When Blue looked up, Pixel startled enough to jolt her chair back a few centimeters. She’d never seen such a bleak expression on his face before. “Not long after he got rich, he made it abundantly clear to all four of us one day that he no longer needed nor wanted to associate with us. We never heard from him again after that.”
“Wait, really? So you haven’t heard anything about him since?”
Blue hesitated, but couldn’t seem to meet her eyes. “…nothing of importance.” he murmured reluctantly. “Please, let’s talk about something else? I don’t like to linger on these events very much.” He glanced up at her then, with a look so sad that she couldn’t find it in her heart to push further.
“Sorry, Blue.” she said gently, reaching across the table to grab his hand and squeeze it. “Thanks for telling me all that.”
“I’m sorry I can’t be of more help.” He still seemed downcast, and Pixel tried to think of something to cheer him up.
“Oh, did I ever tell you about how the Tasque kittens got loose the other day?”
Finally, her brother seemed to perk up a little. “I don’t believe you did. Care to share?”
Pixel smiled at him, launching into her story. “So, it all started when the brat of the two got bored…”
…
After that one day, things seemed as though the Spamton issue had never even happened. Cache was their usual self, teasing and joking around as usual. Pixel even got to go on that lunch break with you that she’d had to turn down—although she’d had to rush off when one of her other brothers texted her in a panic, letting her know that a couple of teenagers had vandalized his store on his break and he desperately needed someone to help clean up the mess before he reopened.
Everything was going just fine. As a matter of fact, Pixel had nearly forgotten about Spamton entirely. She had other things to do, after all, and today that included opening up the store before Cache came in. It was her turn to do it, so she didn’t think anything of the fact that she was the first one there. It was a little strange, though, since Cache wasn’t normally this late…
And then, her boss shambled into the store looking like death warmed over.
“B-Boss?!” she stammered, rushing to their side. “What happened? Are you hurt?”
“Eh. Been worse.” they muttered. Standing this close to them, she caught the scent of something bitter-sour, smelling almost like—
Oh. Alcohol.
Pixel cringed. She’d seen Cache like this only once or twice before, usually the day after something particularly difficult had happened, and never since you’d befriended them. She didn’t complain about it in large part because her boss had never made it a habit, but it was still difficult to be both employee and supervisor on these days.
“Boss…Cache. What’s going on?” she asked gently.
Cache looked over at her. Their expression would have seemed neutral to a stranger, but Pixel knew them better than that, and so she could see the emotion lurking behind their eyes. She sighed. Taking them by the arm, she dragged them over to the counter and sat them down. “Talk to me, Cache. I can’t spend the whole day working like this, so let’s just get it over with and then we don’t have to discuss it again.” she insisted.
The mint-colored Addison hesitated briefly, clearly ready to put up a fight, before slumping in defeat at the look on her face. “Fine, but I’m holding you to that.”
They swallowed thickly, their eyes flickering down to the counter. “Last nightshortcake invited me over to play some games with her and Bug. Didn’t think anything of it, was all ready to have a good time. Then, I walk in the door, and find out that she—she has that little bastard living with her!”
Pixel’s eyes widened. “You mean…Spam—”
“Don’t.” Cache’s voice was somehow both flat and dark all at once. “I don’t wanna hear that fuckin’ scumbag’s name.”
She stayed silent, encouraging them to continue.
“She said she wanted us to get along.” They spat the words out as though they couldn’t stand the taste they left in their mouth. “I played along for a while, but then I pulled her out into the hallway. I tried to tell her! I tried, Pixel!”
They looked up at her now, and they weren’t even trying to hide the pain in their expression any longer. “She defended him. She—” Their voice broke abruptly, and they glanced away once more, blinking rapidly.
“She pushed me away. She chose him…and all he’s gonna do is break her.”
In the split second before Cache bowed their head, resting it in the crook of their arm, Pixel saw their face. Eyes squeezed shut, mouth shaking at the edges, composure falling with about as much grace and impact as a rockslide. They shuddered with one single, silent sob, clearly still trying to maintain some modicum of dignity and failing completely.
The absolute least Pixel could do was humor them. Nervously, she stood off to one side, pretending to organize stock on one of the nearby shelves until they’d composed themself. “Thanks, Boss.” she murmured. “I promise, I won’t bring it up again.”
“Damn right.” they said, and when she turned to face them, she caught the glint of a metal flask sliding into their jacket pocket. At any other time, she might have said something, tried to convince them not to drink on the job, but she couldn’t right now. The atmosphere was far too tense for her to do anything except give Cache the space to save face where they could.
“I got two iced coffees.” Pixel offered, hoping to defuse the situation even slightly.
“For real?” Her boss picked up the coffee, taking a long drink of it. “Shit, that’s the stuff. ‘Preciate it.”
Pixel opened her mouth, preparing to say something else, but then a customer walked in and she had to get to work. Cache’s mood was reduced to a nagging discomfort in the back of her head, something she could keep in check for the time being as she focused on her job.
They seemed to be doing the same, running through all of the caretaking for the various pets with a meticulousness she hadn’t seen from them in ages. Thankfully, they didn’t seem to be too drunk, just a little more out of it than usual.
Once the customer had walked out, happy with their new little neon pet, Pixel started doing what tidying she could. The store was uncomfortably silent as she worked, occasionally sneaking glances over at Cache. She didn’t see them taking any more drinks, which she hoped was a positive sign, although they could just be very good at hiding it.
She very much wanted it to be the former rather than the latter.
Unfortunately for her poor nerves, however, she wasn’t looking over at them when they saw who was across the street—and was subsequently quite startled when their chair clattered to the floor. Whirling around, she saw them staggering backwards, hopping away from the chair in a frantic mess. “Shit, shit shit—she’s here! What’s she doing over here?!” Cache hissed, still staring out the window.
Pixel glanced out the window, and her eyes widened. You were standing across the street at the corner, waiting for the crosswalk to be clear so that you could come over to the side that Virtual Pets was on.
“Pixel, you gotta cover for me!” Cache insisted, already backing towards the storage room.
“What?!” she cried. “This is your chance to make up with her!”
Abruptly, Cache’s demeanor shifted from panicked to sullen. “I’m not gonna listen to her while she’s still buying that asshole’s bullshit. I already know what she’s gonna say, and I’m not about to hear that again. I’m not.” they repeated insistently, looking her in the eyes, and Pixel caved.
“Alright, I’ll do my best.” she sighed, straightening the sleeves of her shirt nervously.
Soon enough, you walked through the door, looking decidedly more serious than usual. Your eyes flicked around the shop, clearly searching for Cache. Pixel prepared herself for the performance of a lifetime…
…and proceeded to fail spectacularly.
To be fair, she’d never been a great liar, so she wasn’t sure what exactly Cache had been thinking when they asked her to do this (they probably weren’t thinking at all, honestly). Even when she was young, her brothers had always been able to beat her easily at any card game they played, because she couldn’t bluff to save her life. Once the lie had fallen through with you, though, she actually felt a lot better just being able to give you some honest advice.
You explained your take on things, and Pixel had to admit, your side of the events did seem quite convincing. You had quite a gentle heart, it was true, but she was still sure that you weren’t the type to stick around in a situation that was hurting you. Besides, you’d been able to hold your own against Cache on numerous occasions, right? If Spamton really did do anything to hurt you, Pixel suspected that you’d be able to handle the situation just fine.
Cache and Blue both seemed to really dislike this guy, but Blue had also been friends with him in the past. Anyway, you had been the closest to him most recently, so Pixel felt like she trusted your judgement. She tried her best to reassure you, giving you all the advice she could. Cache definitely wouldn’t be able to stay upset at you for long. You were their closest friend, and after all, they missed you regularly even when you were getting along with them.
As you left, Pixel just hoped they’d come around sooner rather than later, for both your sake as well as theirs.
Once you were gone, the bell ringing as the door shut behind you, Cache came out of the storage room once again. Their eyes were suspiciously glossy in the light, and they were looking studiously at anything but Pixel.
“‘M sorry too.” they muttered after a moment. “That you’re stuck between us ‘n all.”
Pixel felt herself begin to relax a little for the first time all morning. “It’s alright. These things happen. Just…reach out to her soon, okay? She really loves you.”
Cache swallowed thickly. “I know.”
…
Pixel had never had so many things happen around her in the span of about a week. During that time, her boss had been hungover and depressed for several days, then actually called security for the first time in ages, then made up with their Lightner friend, and then canceled work entirely for a day. (And that wasn’t even getting into the giant robot rampage that had happened that same day…)
At this point, Pixel thought that nothing could catch her off guard.
She was about to find out that she thought wrong.
The day started off strangely when she came into the store and Cache was pouting. They would never have admitted it, of course, but that was exactly what they were doing. Thankfully, they at least weren’t surrounded by the telltale scent of alcohol, so whatever it was they were sulking about, it couldn’t be too bad.
“Boss, you didn’t get in another fight about Spamton, did you?” she asked warily, moving to set her things down in the back room.
Cache rolled their eyes. “And why the fuck would I be dumb enough to do that to pipsqueak, exactly?”
“You did it the first time!” Pixel called out to them.
“Whatever,” they huffed. “I’m not fighting with her, I’m just…processing the fact that she’s gone and brought back that damn asshole. In a mature, adult way.” they added, giving Pixel a look that dared her to contradict them.
She wisely opted not to, but did smile while shaking her head in disbelief. “Sure thing, Boss.”
“Fuck off.” they muttered, taking a sip of their iced coffee. “Oh yeah, and she says she’s gonna bring him by at some point today so we can ‘make up’ or whatever. That oughta be real fun.”
“Just remember that you’re doing this for her, and I’m sure you’ll be fine.” Pixel said, giving them an encouraging smile.
They sighed. “Ugh…I’ll try my best. For her.”
The rest of the morning passed without much incident, the only customers being friendly regulars there to pick up some new pet toys or restock on necessities. The easy rhythm of the work meant that before long, Pixel was in even brighter spirits than she had been for a while. Despite Cache’s mood, your friend’s return was a sign that things were beginning to go back to normal.
Pixel was grateful for that, honestly. Her life had been feeling more and more like she was standing just next to something straight out of the romance novels she secretly still liked. Those stories were fun enough to read, but it turned out that living through one even peripherally was a little much for her.
Just as she was thinking that, a quiet stream of expletives came from the mint-colored Addison sitting at the desk behind her.
“What is it, Boss?” she asked, frowning at them in concern.
“More Spamton shit.” they grumbled, and Pixel instantly stopped being worried.
Right, there’s still a little of this story left to wrap up, she thought to herself wryly. Out loud, however, she said, “Oh? Did you find out something new?”
“Yeah.” Cache muttered. “She’s bringing the bastard over soon.”
Pixel sighed. “Boss, you promised you’d at least try…”
Cache groaned unhappily and buried their face in their folded arms. “And I’m already regretting it.”
A couple of minutes later, she heard their steps receding into the back room, and rolled her eyes to herself. Cache would come around eventually—they always did when it came to you. She just hoped that would happen a little faster than last time.
Not long after their disappearance, you walked into the shop, saying hello to Pixel with the brightest smile she’d seen from you in weeks. She greeted you warmly and gave you a hug, happy to see how much better you were clearly feeling. When you asked after Cache, however, she didn’t hesitate to let a bit of sarcasm creep into her voice as she directed you to them. Hadn’t they learned by now that getting upset was the wrong approach when it came to you and that Spamton man?
Pixel could faintly hear you and Cache speaking to one another from the back room as she worked. She couldn’t make out the individual words, but it sounded like her boss was at least making an effort not to sulk. Honestly, she was actually a bit proud of them. It seemed like they had learned from their actions after all.
And then Pixel was suddenly forced to stop paying attention to the conversation, because something spawned inside the shop and began to flit around erratically. She jumped back, her eyes wide and broom up as a makeshift weapon. At first, it seemed like the creature was about to fly towards her, and on instinct she frantically swatted at it with the broom. Thankfully, when she brandished the cleaning tool, it shied away surprisingly quickly, opting to hide up near the ceiling out of her reach.
It was only a few seconds (but it felt much longer) when you came out and the creature immediately dive-bombed you—and then proceeded to hug you?
Pixel was quite confused, and expressed as much alongside Cache’s sarcasm. Your only response was to say, “Follow me outside, it’ll explain everything. …maybe.”
She did so, but not without some trepidation. Outside, it was strangely dark, and Pixel was just about to question whether or not it had been a particularly good idea to leave the safety of the shop if this weirdness was going on.
But then, just to add to her poor nerves, she nearly got her hearing blown out by some strange music that seemed to come from all around her. As any sane person would, Pixel immediately jumped behind you and Cache—and just in time, too, as an ear-splitting announcer had begun to introduce someone.
Wait, did she just hear them say “Spamton”?! But she didn’t have even a second to think about that, because then, the lights came on…
…and a truly massive, soul-shakingly terrifying robotic monster of a being stood in front of her.
Pixel’s arms shook and her hands unconsciously dropped the broom she’d still been clutching. Quietly, a last shred of politeness compelling her to explain herself in some way, she murmured, “I’m out.”
With that, she promptly walked back inside, triple-checking to make sure that the door was shut tightly behind her. She nervously watched the others talk through the window, hoping more than anything that no fighting would break out. Cache was determined and even brave in a battle, but that didn’t amount to much against a giant robot!
Thankfully, you and Lovebug came inside soon enough, so she could finally get some answers. You did your best to reassure her that her boss would not be blasted into atoms anytime soon, and then promptly failed in any way to reassure her about the nature of your relationship with Spamton. Whether or not he intended to, it definitely sounded like he was surviving off your kindness alone—and that was just not sustainable.
Pixel did her best to convince you that you had to look after yourself as well as him, hoping that even half of it got through to you. She still couldn’t tell much about your relationship with that man, but one thing she knew for sure already was that you absolutely spoiled him far more than she thought was necessary. He might have lived on the streets for a while, but helping him with that couldn’t come at the cost of your own well-being!
Now, she just had to hope you’d actually listened to a word she’d said…
Thankfully, she was soon saved from her attempts to give you advice first by Lovebug taking her leave, since apparently her firework-owning friend needed their supplies returned to them, and then by the return of both Cache and Spamton, fully intact and surprisingly non-hostile.
After he’d entered the store, Spamton turned to look at Pixel, and she shifted uncomfortably under the scrutiny of his duo-toned glasses and strangely ever-present grin. “HEY, YOU’RE [[1080p HDTV]], RIGHT?”
“Uh…” Pixel began nervously, uncertain how to respond to that.
“Oh! H-he means ten-eighty like—like the number of pixels on a screen. It’s a nickname, kind of.” you rushed to explain, smiling at her.
“I see, that makes more sense!” She managed to summon an awkward smile for you. “And you’re Spamton. It’s nice to meet you!” she added, turning back to your roommate.
“NICE TO [[Local Meet-And-Greet]] YOU TOO!” He held out his hand for a brief handshake, which she accepted, retracting her hand from his deadly claws as quickly as she could without being rude.
“I’m glad you two are friends again.” Pixel said, her voice more genuinely warm now. “And, um, Spamton—if you’re ever in the area, you’re always welcome to stop by and say hello.” She tried not to sound too uncomfortable, because while he was pretty terrifying, he also really cared about you. A guy like that had to be worth being friendly towards, right?
Spamton seemed almost startled at that for a moment, before recomposing himself. Suddenly, a grin spread lightning-quick across his face, and he simply said “HELLO.”
The moment he winked at you, you dissolved into laughter, unable to meet his eyes. Pixel stared at you, utterly bewildered, before Cache (of all people) cut in. “You said he could come in and say hi if he was ever ‘round here,” they explained flatly. “He’s here right now, isn’t he?”
Pixel sighed, shaking her head and smiling. “I should have expected that.” she admitted.
“Damn right you should—and hey!” Cache exclaimed. “What’s all this shit about inviting him into my shop? Last I checked, I’m the boss and you’re the employee!”
“What, and you’re not going to tell him he’s welcome here? After you two made up and everything?” Pixel shot back.
Cache rolled their eyes. “He can stop by if he fuckin’ wants, I’m not the boss of him.”
You had recuperated from your laughing fit by now and moved to stand at Spamton’s side, gently placing a hand on his arm. “You said you might have something for him, Pixel?” you asked, giving her a hopeful smile.
“Oh, right!” She perked up again at your comment. “Well, Mr. Spamton, do you see any pets you might like to buy? If that’s alright with Boss, of course.”
Cache had glanced up at this, giving Pixel a funny look. Then, their eyes shifted to you, currently beaming as wide as Pixel had ever seen, and they let out a sigh, shrugging their shoulders. “Sure, why not.”
“Come on, let’s go take a look!” you said eagerly, taking Spamton by the hand and pulling him over to some of the pet pens. He took his time looking carefully at all the different types, clearly wanting to make the right choice (and Pixel noticed Cache giving him a strange look that almost seemed approving out of the corner of her eye). The former salesman lingered by the Tamagopet area the longest, before turning to Pixel once more.
She smiled up at him curiously. “Do you see anything you like, Mr. Spamton?”
“WELL…[[Can’t Find—]] ANYTHING THAT REALLY [[One Size Fits All!]].” he explained. “[[Honesty is the Best Policy]], I…LIKED [[Premium Cat Food]] A LOT, BUT NONE OF THESE GUYS ARE [[New Packaging, Same Great Flavor!]].”
Pixel frowned for a moment, trying to parse his words, before she lit up suddenly. “I think I know just the thing!” She darted into the back room for a moment, retrieving an egg that she’d left in a very special place, and came back out to present it to Spamton. “This is the egg that Reginald left behind when he…well, you know.” she said. “Whoever hatches from this won’t be him, but it might sort of subconsciously recognize and even trust you both. Since you treated him so well, you’ll have made a big impact on how the new pet turns out.”
Spamton’s expression softened drastically, and he reached out to take the egg from her. He cradled it carefully in one hand, lightly running the very tip of a single finger over it. “HUH…”
“Do you want that one, buddy?” you asked, giving him a warm smile.
“I…” He hesitated for a moment, before coming to a decision. “YEAH, THIS IS THE [[Number One Platinum Record]]!” Spamton turned to face Cache, who straightened up from their usual slouch slightly at the attention. “HOW MUCH [kromer] FOR THE [[Cute and Cuddly Critters]]?”
Cache sighed. “Well, that lil’ guy was shortcake’s to begin with…so I’m gonna say you can just have it. ‘Least it’s already kinda used to your weird shit, that way it’ll just freak out at the sight of a giant mecha instead of having a fucking aneurysm.” Despite their flippant words, their expression was serious yet soft, and everyone in the store noticed as much.
After a moment when Spamton was struck downright speechless, he inclined his head and murmured a quiet “…thank you.”
You and Spamton stayed for a little longer, but soon enough, the two of you had to leave once the time began to grow late. Once he and you had both left the store—with promises to return in the next couple of days from you in particular—Pixel let out a small sigh of relief. She hadn’t wanted to complain, since Spamton had been perfectly polite, but speaking to a man who was tall enough to almost scrape the ceiling was a little much for her.
“Thank fuck that’s over.” she heard Cache grumble. “Who woulda thought I’d see the goddamn day when I’d make nice with that guy.”
Pixel turned back to look at the other Addison, giving them a gentle smile. “I’m really impressed, Boss. You did great.”
Cache’s eyes darted around the room, fixating firmly on the register next to them. “Hmph. Whatever, at least now I don’t have to wave that fucking broom at him anymore.”
Someone else might have bought it. Pixel, however, saw the way they turned slightly pink at the praise, and wasn’t fooled in the slightest.
She collected the aforementioned broom and began to tidy up from the chaos of the day, still smiling to herself. Finally, the drama was over, and she could go back to her peaceful life.
…the next morning, when four kids stormed the store begging for a job, she swore never to even think anything that might jinx her ever again.
—— Bonus Scene ——
“Alright, you guys just rest for now.” Cache said, their attention directed towards the four young Addisons who had hijacked their store earlier that morning. “Now that you’ve all tried each of the jobs, Pixel and I are gonna make our final decision.”
Most of the kids seemed eager, but poor Alan was quite obviously nervous. He managed to muster up a nervous smile as Cache glanced over at him, but Pixel felt somewhat concerned for him, especially given how tightly he was clasping his hands together. He’d done very well today, even if he didn’t seem to believe it.
Thankfully, Cache didn’t feel the need to pull her bodily into the back room this time, but they did create another pop-up barrier like they had this morning. They leaned against a wall, looking over in her direction. “I already know what I think, but I wanna hear your thoughts too. You’ll be working with whoever we pick just as much as I will.”
Pixel frowned, deep in thought. “Hmmm…I think I’d say either Gif or Alan. I mean, Proxy’s really good at the more mathematical tasks, but I almost feel like his talents are better for something bigger than a pet shop, you know?”
Cache scoffed. “What, are you slandering my store now?” After she gave them an unimpressed look, though, they relented. “Yeah, I can definitely see that.”
“And Matrix…he’s good at what he does, to be sure, but I feel like he’d butt heads with you a lot. Sometimes that can be good for a kid’s growth, but there’s a fine line between that and an uncomfortable work environment. I don’t know which of those it would wind up being, and I don’t really like that kind of uncertainty.” Pixel continued. “On the other hand, Gif’s really good at customer service. That would probably leave us neutral in that category overall, given your…forceful personality.” She smiled wryly as she finished her last sentence.
“Hey!” Cache cried, but didn’t protest further.
“And Alan…I feel like he needs the exact opposite of Proxy. Something low-stress and nice, especially for his first job. I think he’d actually enjoy doing things like cleaning or feeding the pets, and we could work him up to talking with customers and making his own sales once he’s got his feet under him.
“But what do you think?” she finished, looking curiously at her boss.
“Honestly?” They slouched a little further against the wall. “I’m thinking Alan too. For a while there, I thought Matrix’d be a good jack-of-all-trades kinda guy, but Alan…he could use someone to guide him, y’know? And I don’t know anyone else who’s got what it takes to keep a lil’ guy like him from getting hurt in a big city like this, so apparently it’s gotta be us.”
Pixel smiled happily at them, and they scowled vehemently at the floor. “Shut up.” they grumbled.
“I didn’t even say anything!”
“You didn’t have to.” With a wave of their hand, they dismissed the pop-ups, stepping back out into the main room.
“So who won, Mx. Cache?” Matrix asked excitedly, immediately rushing over as soon as he spotted Cache returning.
Cache sighed briefly, frowning at nothing in particular. “Listen. Whatever I say next, I just want you all to know you did a damn good job, okay? The thing is, we’re a small business, and I seriously can’t afford to hire—or keep an eye on—all of you. So if you don’t get picked, don’t think that means you oughta give up, alright? You’ve all gotta promise me that.”
(Pixel most certainly did not think that their concern for the kids’ feelings was charming, and did not then turn slightly pink at that thought. Not in any way whatsoever.)
The four Addisons all nodded in agreement. “That’s very nice of you, Mx. Cache!” Gif said happily.
“No, it’s not.” they muttered. “I’m just not so heartless that I wanna see a bunch of sad lil’ faces when I can’t pick all of you.”
“Well, you still haven’t told us who got the internship.” Proxy said matter-of-factly.
“Guess I haven’t.” Cache put their hands in the pockets of their denim jacket. With a casual tone better suited to discussing the weather than revealing a decision like this, they announced, “Alan, you got it. Congrats, you’re stuck with me and Pixel now.” Pixel shook her head lightly, but she was smiling.
The purple Addison’s eyes widened, and he stared up at Cache for a long moment, unblinking. “R-really? Me?” he stammered, stunned.
“Yes, you!” Pixel said warmly, stepping in. “You did a really great job today, Alan!” She held up her hand for a high-five, which he returned shyly.
Alan began to beam up at her and Cache, finally seeming to register that this was truly happening to him. “Oh…oh wow! Wow, I’ve gotta tell Mom and Dad about this!”
“Ohmygosh, Alan, you did it!” Gif exclaimed, bouncing on the balls of her feet.
“Yeah! You’re the first of us to get an internship, how does it feel to be such a professional?” Matrix asked, smiling almost as widely as Alan.
Proxy folded their arms. “Didn’t I tell you that you just needed to find the right place?”
Alan ran a hand through his hair sheepishly. “I guess you did, Proxy…and Matrix, I’m not a professional yet! I haven’t even had my first day!”
“Well, the boss of a store thinks you’re pretty cool, so I’d say that counts for something!” Gif insisted brightly. “And, I’d also say it calls for a group hug!”
The other three Addisons crowded in tightly around Alan, squeezing him in a big hug as he laughed, a little embarrassed and flattered from all the attention. It took every ounce of Pixel’s willpower not to press a hand to her chest, and when she glanced over at Cache, they had a small smile on their face (which quickly vanished once they noticed her watching).
“Thank you so much, Mx. Cache and Ms. Pixel!” Alan said, once he’d been released from the group hug. “I promise, I’ll try my best to be a great intern!”
“I already know you’ll do an amazing job.” Pixel reassured him.
Cache folded their arms, clearly trying their best to channel some ‘responsible boss’ energy. “You can be here around ten tomorrow, right?”
“Absolutely!” Alan agreed, still smiling up at them.
“Great.” Cache said simply. “Now go off and celebrate or whatever else it is you wanna do. And listen—” they added, as the four turned to leave. “Don’t use that one word in front of your parents, okay? Actually, just don’t use it, period. It’s not the kinda thing you kids should know just yet.”
“Yes, Mx. Cache!” Alan said politely.
In contrast, Matrix grinned. “What word? You mean sh—”
“Don’t!” Cache yelped, their eyes widening abruptly. “I swear, Matrix…” they muttered, pressing a hand to their face.
“No promises, Mx. Cache!” Gif chirped. “Byeeee!”
“Wait, what—” they began, jolting upright just in time to see the kids dash out the door, laughing amongst themselves. Before he left, though, Alan paused outside the door and waved at Cache and Pixel with a shy smile. Pixel waved back, and Cache held up a peace sign and shot him a small smirk.
Alan’s expression brightened, and he ran off to catch up with his friends.
“Honestly, I think I’m looking forward to working with him.” Pixel said. “And I’m not just saying that because he can help out with the cleaning! It’s going to be nice, having someone new around.”
Cache could have made any number of quips at her about that. They could have teased her about not appreciating their company, or doubted her claim that she didn’t just want Alan around for cleaning help.
Instead, they simply replied, “Yeah, me too.”
And even though Pixel had already promised herself that she wouldn’t tempt fate ever again, she did still think that maybe, just possibly, her and her friends’ future was looking awfully bright.

Fast cars & Freedom: who do you love? (11/?)
Ok.. it took me longer to get this done than I liked but here it is... A second paternity test, and the guys lay it on thr table. What will Ellie do now? Catch up HERE, also if you would like to be added to the tags, drop a line.
Pairings: Logan x Ellie, Colt x Ellie
Raiting: Mature. Ccontains nsfw situations.

“Seriously, you're fucking with me right?” Ellie snapped. “I wish I was Ellie, but we have to retest.” Logan sighed. “Shit, my phone. I need to go get my phone.” she shot up running for the door. Of course something like this would happen, that was just her luck. Her thoughts now on Colt, who she was sure was flipping out. She got to her purse grabbing her phone. 17 missed calls she thought, all from Colt, except 1 that was the Drs office. As if on cue her phone started buzzing in her hand. It was Colt.
E: Colt? Whats going on?
C: Where the hell have you been ellie? I've been calling you non stop.
E: we're at the track with Logan.
C: Did you get the call from the Dr? He says we can be re tested today but we have to be there by 4.
Ellie looks down at her phone
E: 4? Its 3:30 Colt. And that's all the way across town in traffic. How are we supposed to get there by then?
C: Looks like you or Logan are going to have to channel your criminal driving. I'm on my way to the office, I'll see you there.
Logan and Stacie ran up, her dad, sally and Luca joining them. “Whats going on?” Logan questioned. “That was Colt. The Doctor said we can be re tested today, but we have to be there by 4.” Logans eyes went wide as he took note of the time. “I can get us there.” Logan stated confidently “lets go.”
Ellie asked Stacie to take her car and meet them at the office, her dad and Sallie heading home. Ellie hooked Lucas car seat in Logan's car quickly and they set out for the office. 20 minutes to go, the panic starting to set in.
Logan grabbed her hand, trying to calm her down. “You ok back there Luca?” he shouted back checking on Luca.
“This is fun!” Luca squealed, Ellie shook her head, Logan just chuckled. She definitely had speed in her blood, that's for sure.
They pulled up to the office with five minutes to spare. Colt stood next to his bike. “I was afraid you weren't going to make it.” he gave Logan a cocky smirk. “Come on Kaneko, you know better than that.”
Ellie grabbed Luca from her car seat, she immediately ran to Colt throwing her arms out. “Hey princess, I missed you.” he wrapped her in a hug as he lifted her off the ground.
They walked into the building, being taken right into the back. Logan and Colt going first. Colt held Luca while they swabbed her mouth. The doctor told them they would be sending it off for testing right away, the new lab turnaround was 2 to 4 weeks for dna testing, however with the amount of labs that would be flooding in it could take longer.
They walked out of the office finding Stacie waiting for them with Ellies car. Luca was complaining she was hungry so they decided to get something to eat. Colt had a customer picking up a car who had a custom job done that he had to be there for, so Ellie said she would catch up with him later that week. Ellie dropped stacie off at work and headed to meet Logan at the restaurant. He already had a table waiting for them when they arrived.
After ordering and finally eating, Luca was content playing on Ellies phone. “Ellie I need to talk to you about something important.” She could sense the seriousness in his tone.
“Ok, but quietly please.” she nodded towards Luca.
“Ellie, i'm pretty sure you know how I feel about you. You were the first and only girl I ever loved. But being with you and luca these past few weeks, well it made me realize that I want a family. I'm ready to settle down.” She took a deep breath, she wasn't expecting that. “Logan” She let out a long sigh. “I dont think thats a good idea right now.”
“I know, with the divorce and all. But really Ellie, I'm not getting any younger. I'm willing to wait, but.” He hesitated. Ellie reached out giving his hand a squeeze “I understand Logan. I do not want you to put your life on pause because I'm indecisive. If someone comes along that you think could lead somewhere, see how it goes.”
Logan sat there contemplating her words. “Thanks Ellie.” he finally spoke.
After they paid for their meal, Ellie took Luca home. She walked through the front door holding her sleeping child. Her dad and sally were sitting on the couch watching a movie, laughing and enjoying each other. “Hey kiddo. Someone passed out huh?” Frank looked up from the tv screen. “Hey guys. Yep long day. I'm gonna put her in bed and crash myself. Back to work tomorrow.” She said goodnight, put Luca to bed and headed there herself.
She put on her pajamas, and climbed into bed. She thought of her dad and Sally sitting on the couch, just enjoying being with each other. Her dad was happy, it was written all over his face and it made her happy for him. She thought about what Logan said at dinner, he was ready to settle down, but was she? She was divorcing Colt, was it fair to jump into something with Logan? Did she want to be with Logan or did she want Colt? She wasn't sure what she wanted that much was obvious, the thought of settling down, expanding her family and spending the rest of her life with someone who loved her and treated her well was all she ever dreamed of. She closed her eyes trying to escape her thoughts, after tossing and turning for a few hours she finally fell asleep.
A a few days had gone by, she had just got off work when he phone rang, Darnells name flashed across the screen.
“Hello.” she answered. “Hey Ellie, its Darnell. I just wanted to let you know that Judge Mitchell scheduled a date for the hearing.” Ellies blood ran cold, it was one thing to file but another that it was actually happening. “oh, ok. Um when is it?
“The Thursday before labor day.” Ellie went silent, her heart pounding in her chest. “Thats. That's two weeks away.”
“Yes. She wanted to get it in before the holiday. It'll be done soon. Have a good weekend Ellie.”
“Yeah, you too Darrell.” Ellie hung up the phone, tears now falling. The Realization that Colt would be served soon hitting her like a ton of bricks. She calmed herself down enough to call her dad and make sure Luca was ok a little longer with him.
She started her car and made that all to familiar drive. She pulled up, trying her best to calm her nerves as she exited the car and walked through the open bay door.
“Were closed.” She heard a voice shout from under a car. “I'm not her for that.” she spoke, her voice carrying throughout the shop. Colt rolled out from under the car, standing up quickly. “Hey. What are you doing her? Is Luca ok?” he wiped his greasy hands off, tossing the rag down on a nearby table.
“She fine. I came because I need to tell you something.” Colt arched his brow “Those words are never good.”
“Darnell called, the divorce has been scheduled.” she watched the expression on Colts face change to curiosity to a mixture between hurt and anger. “When.” His tone colt and flat.
“Two weeks.” She looked to the floor. This was what she wanted, so why was it so damn hard to tell him?
“Two weeks?!” he shouted. He turned grabbing a tool and chucking it across the room. “Fuck!” He screamed, Ellie flinching. “I'm sorry Colt.” she squeaked out. His eyes widening as he turned to face her. “Oh you're sorry? You don't seem sorry to me Ellie. You didn't even give me a fucking chance. All I wanted was to be a family. You, me and Luca,” he ran his hands through his hair. “You just don't understand do you? I love you Ellie, I never stopped. Everything I did, was for you. The house, this garage, everything!”
“Colt I, I don't know what to say.” She was at a loss for words.
“I didn't want to be my dad. I wanted Luca to have both parents, together. Now that will never happen.”
“Colt, we don't know that she's yours.” She regretted saying as soon as it left her mouth. It was like adding salt to the wound.
“Shes mine. I know in my heart she's mine, and even if she wasn't..” He shook his head. “You know what. You can have it all, everything. The house, the garage, all the money. All I want in this life is to be able to take care of you, and Luca. And if you won't let me do it at your side, take everything.” he threw his hands up in the air, walking away.
“Colt.” she hollered after “Colt!” she followed him into to small apartment that used to be logan's loft. “I can't see you right now Ellie. I think we probably should keep our distance until i cool down.” Colt had his back to her. Hands splayed out on the counter, his breathing heavy. He was upset, very upset. “But the zoo, and Lucas first day of school.” She whimpered, holding back tears.
“I'll be there, I wouldn't miss that for her. I will be cordial to you. But I won't be ok with it, I never will.”
Ellie hung her head in defeat, walking down the steps and then to her car. Colts words ringing in her ears. She grasped the steering wheel with a white knuckle grip, the tears streaming down her cheeks. She knew telling him was going to be rough, but she wasn't expecting the overload of emotions that came with it. She thought back to the day they took the brotherhood down.
****
She walked up to her house, Colt had a loose end to tie up with Toby and ximena. The crew skipping town, laying low from the FBI. She crossed the front yard when Logan slid out of the shadows. “Logan? What are you doing here? I thought you left town.” her eyes darted around, assessing her surroundings. “I am, but I needed to see you first.” he came closer, closing the distance between them. “Look Ellie, I had every intention to apologize for dragging you into this. But now that I'm here, i'm not sorry.”
“You're not?” She looked at him confused.
“No,” He shook his head. “If I didn't seek you out, I would have never met you. And though I may not have been the guy for you, I couldn't live in a world where I never knew you. You changed my life for the better Ellie.” he softly brushed the bruises on her face.
Ellie threw her arms around him, burying her face in his chest. “I don't want you to go, please don't go.” she sniffled. “Believe me Ellie, I don't want to, but I have to. Go off to college, kick some ass. And remember I'll always be thinking of you.” She lifted her face, looking in his eyes. She pressed her lips against his, savoring the feeling one last time. “I hope this isn't goodbye forever. Promise me you'll stay safe.” she pulled back resting her head against his chest. “He pressed his lips to the top of her head. “I promise. Goodbye Ellie.” he took one last look at her before disappearing into the night.
She turned heading toward the house spotting colt standing there. “You kissed him.” He clenched his jaw. “You were spying on me? How long have you been standing there?”
“Long enough. And no, I wasn't spying on you. I finished what I needed to and came back for you.”
Ellie hesitated at the door. Could she really give up everything she had worked for? Could she really skip out on her dream school for a life on the run with Colt?
“Colt. I don't think we should do this. We rushed into this, its crazy. We. We need to get an annulment.”
Colt stumbled back. “What? Ellie come on, We love each other.”
“I know, and i do love you Colt. I do but.”
“Its Logan isn't it? You wanted to be with him, I was a mistake.” he retorted.
“No. Colt that's not-”
“Save it Ellie. Go live your life, I'll get an annulment.” he climbed on his bike.
Ellie felt sick to her stomach, what did she do? She was scared, she didn't want to lose him. “colt.” she called after him, he put his helmet on kicking his bike to life. “Colt. Colt, come back. Please.” it was to late, she watched his tail lights fade out of view. She was alone, truly and completely alone.
*******
She pulled into the driveway of her house, she pulled her compact from her purse attempting to cover the evidence of her crying. She walked into the house to hear laughter. Frank, sally and Luca sat around the table eating ice cream, having a good time. “Hey guys.” She peaked her head into the room. “Hey kiddo. Everything ok.” She gave her dad a half hearted smile. “Yeah, everything's fine.”
“Will you give me a bath mommy? I'm all sticky.” Luca held her ice cream covered hands up. “Sure thing sweetpea.”
After bathing and getting Luca to bed, Ellie walked over to a box that was left unpacked. She pulled out a medium sized shoe box, removing the lid she pulled a few items out. A ticket stub from the drive in, a small cactus, a bullet necklace, some photos of the crew and the last two. A picture of Logan and her, taken after the pool game, the other of her and Colt at Prom. She laid the two in front of her, her eyes burning into the paper. What was she going to do?

If you're still taking Souyo prompts, maybe trapped in a small space together? I love your writing by the way. :)
There are all different kinds of rain. It can be warm or it could be cold. Sometimes it was a mist, other times a drizzle,or it even could be a downpour. Often itwas small warm droplets that may get you a wet, but since it’s warm out it isn’ttoo bad, but some days like today it was the big, fat and chilly rain dropletsthat drove the temperature down and left you shivering as it soaked throughyour clothes. It was also windy whichmeant that Yu’s umbrella that he dutifully had brought to class with him endedup not doing much more than keep his hair semi-dry. When Yu finally spotted his apartment upahead, he let out a sigh of relief, ready to be out of the buffeting wind andrain so he could take a hot shower and dry off.
To his surprise, right as he stepped into the lobby of hisapartment, he ran into Yosuke who was about to head out to his nightclass. It was always a treat the raremoments they both got to see each other during the day since their scheduleswere so opposite of each other. Yosukeworked during the day and took night classes, while Yu had a stacked schoolschedule during the day and had a part time job on weekends. It made it very difficult for the boyfriendsto spend quality time together so they often took every little opportunity theycould to see each other. As Yosuke wasdoing right now. “Partner, you’resoaked,” he said, reaching up to wipe Yu’s damp bangs out of his eyes. Yu appreciated the motion since the water wasdripping into his eyes and making it hard to see. “Let’s get you warmed up,” he added, tuggingYu toward the elevator.
Yu followed without hesitation, relieved to be in Yosuke’scapable hands, although he did give a weak protest. “Won’t you be late for class?” he asked.
“I was heading out early so I could study a bit before classstarted,” Yosuke shrugged. “So, we’vegot a little time.” He shot a grin at Yuthat immediately shut him up, and he found that while he was externally stillchilled from the rain, internally he felt quite warm now that he was in Yosuke’spresence. Outside, they could hearrumbles of thunder, and Yu realized that the storm was about to pick up. Maybe it would be better for Yosuke to waituntil it died down outside anyway; Yu wouldn’t want him walking to the train ina thunderstorm.
Yosuke took Yu’s silence as acquiescence and had no troubleushering him into the elevator, where he began fussing with Yu, noting his bluelips and pale skin from the cold. “Youshould have worn a rain jacket,” he frowned, his own jacket snuggly zipped, andYu shook his head.
“I didn’t realize it would get so cold,” he admitted. “Or be so windy.”
Their conversation was cut short by a very loud zappingnoise next to their apartment, followed by a thundering boom that soundedalmost like a bomb and shook the building right before the subsequent crash ofthunder. At the same exact moment, theelevator was suddenly flooded by darkness as the power to the apartment was cutdue to the transformer blowing. “Shit,”Yosuke cursed, blinking as his eyes adjusted to the difference inlighting. “You ok?” he asked, reachingblindly for Yu until he found his arm.
“Yeah,” Yu replied, shivering as he also waited for his eyesto adjust to the dark. He walked over topress the emergency button, but quickly realized without power it wasn’t goingto work. He then tried the doors, andYosuke stepped in to help, but when they pushed them open they realized theelevator was stuck between floors and there was no space for them to try to squeezeonto the floor above or below. So, theyslid the doors back shut and exchanged glances in the dim emergency lighting.
“Well, I guess I’m probably not going to class after all,”Yosuke joked, and Yu frowned.
“I’m sorry, Yosuke,” he replied, and Yosuke rolled his eyes.
“It was my idea, remember? Besides, when have you ever seen me complain about skipping class?” hegrinned. He then pulled out his phoneand squinted at it, holding it at different angles until he managed to get agood signal, before typing out a message to his professor and hittingsend. “Besides, this professor actuallylikes me and thinks I’m a good student. I’m sure she’ll understand,” he quipped. He actually enjoyed this particular class which was a music elective, and he was surprisingly one of the most attentive students in class for achange.
Yu chuckled before correcting, “It’s because you are a goodstudent,” he pointed out. “Once you’refinally interested in the material you completely change your tune.”
Yosuke blushed before sliding his phone back into hispocket. He then carefully looked at Yuwho was shivering pretty violently. While it was warmer in the building than outside, he was chill from thecold rain and wasn’t really warming up. Yosuke frowned. “Well, our firstpriority is getting you warmed up,” he decided. “Take off your shirt.”
Yu stared at him in surprise. “In an elevator, Yosuke?” he asked, and Yosukelet out a huff.
“If you keep those cold wet clothes on, you’re going to getsick,” he pointed out. “Do I need tohelp you?”
Yu quickly shook his head before he slid his shirt up andover his shoulders, revealing his tone chest and lightly defined muscles thatYosuke often enjoyed tracing with his fingertips or using as a pillow. Today, however, he was all business. “Pants too,” he said, tugging off Yu’s beltas the silver haired man stepped out of his shoes and socks before sliding hispants down and off. He felt quitefoolish standing in nothing but his briefs in the elevator, and he found himselfcarefully folding and neatly stacking his soaked clothes in order to get hismind off of his discomfort. Yosuke, meanwhile, was rummaging through his bag, and pulled out his gym clothes and a towel; heoften would work out after his night class since it was the only time duringthe day he had enough time to get on the treadmill.
He threw the towel at Yu, laughing when it landed on hisboyfriend’s face, while Yu shook his head and gratefully toweled himself dry, before accepting Yosuke’s offered clothes. They were tight on him, and the sweats especially were a little short, but he much preferred having something to wear to feeling so exposed in publicand appreciated it. To his surprise, Yosukethen slid off his jacket and wrapped it around Yu’s shoulders, immediately envelopinghim in warmth and the citrusy smell of Yosuke’s cologne. Yu blushed before adjusting it over hisshoulders so he could bury his face into the collar and better take in thecomforting smell. Yosuke watched him inamusement, before walking over to the part of the elevator not currentlydampened by rain water and plopping down, patting the ground next to him. Yu quickly joined him, sliding close to Yosukeuntil he melted against his boyfriend’s side, soaking in his warmth beforetentatively resting his head against Yosuke’s shoulder. He hated getting Yosuke’s shoulder wet, butafter 20 minutes in the rain he craved any warmth he could get. And Yosuke, of course, didn’t seem to mindand instead wrapped his arm around his shoulder, holding him securely at hisside. “Feel better yet?” he asked, andYu quietly nodded, wrapping his own arm around Yosuke’s waist and gentlysqueezing.
His shivering had subsided now that he had dry clothes andwas soaking in Yosuke’s warmth, and Yu couldn’t help but feel grateful that hisboyfriend always seemed to run hotter than he did. He glanced up at Yosuke, frowning when herealized the rare, serious gaze Yosuke was giving him as he appraised Yu’scondition, and leaned forward to press his lips against his boyfriend’s inorder to calm his worry, sighing at how soft and warm they were. Yosuke leaned into the kiss, valiantly doinghis due diligence to warm Yu and get his lips back to a normal color. When he finally pulled away, both men feltsignificantly warmer, and Yu’s lips were finally back to a healthy pinkhue. Yu grinned at him, before askingabout how Yosuke’s day went, continuing to snuggle against his shoulder asYosuke began to weave a tale about another fun day in customer service. It felt nice, getting to spend uninterruptedtime with him, and both men couldn’t help but enjoy this small treat they hadbeen provided by the storm. Theyrelished being able to participate in small talk, reminiscing over how itreminded them of high school and lazy afternoons spent at each other’s housesor wandering the small town of Inaba. Itfelt comforting, so when the power finally flickered back on and the elevatorbegan to bring them back up to their floor, they couldn’t help but feel slightdisappointment as they pulled apart and began to gather their items.
Yosuke checked the time on his phone, however, and realizedhe was already an hour late to class and had received a message from hisprofessor excusing him for the day. “Well, looks like you have me all to yourself tonight,” he said, grinning at Yu.
Yu looked excited at the idea, and as they finally steppedoff the elevator he said, “Well, once I take a hot shower, how about I rewardyou with a nice warm meal and we settle in for a movie?”
Yosuke beamed at him. “Man, it’s a rare treat when I get to eat your food fresh from the stove,”he said. Often, he had to eat it asleftovers due to having class, while on weekends Yosuke cooked since Yu hadwork. “Sounds like a date!”
Yu grinned, and they both headed into their apartment, readyfor a relaxing night in.

Rating ➾ ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Sometimes, it may seem that Blood Sugar Blaster Reviews managing your diabetes is a full time job, and there is no time left over to gather information on how to live well despite your disease. Find fresh ideas to cope with diabetes with the tips below.
Diabetics should increase the amount of fiber in their diet to help lose weight and keep regular. Fiber also has been shown to not raise blood sugar after a meal, so it can fill you up without giving you a sugar spike. There are many fruit and vegetables which have high fiber, so try to include them in your regular meals.
Diabetics need to avoid ketchup like the plague. I know it's tasty, I love it to death, but it's so full of sugar both from the tomatoes and the high fructose corn syrup that it's more of a curse than a pleasure. I like to replace it with yellow mustard as it has little to no sugar added.
Don't worry about having a "Diabetes Bag" that you carry around with you, just keep syringes in your purse, jacket pockets, car, and desk at work. Keep your meter and insulin with you in a small bag or your purse and you'll be ready for injections no matter where you end up.
Enroll in a diabetes class or schedule meetings with a diabetes educator. Your physician is a good source of health information, too, but an educator is specifically trained to bring medical jargon down to your level. An educator or class can take a lot of the mystery out of your diabetes treatment plan, which is important in order for you to be active in your health care.
Engage in physical Blood Sugar Blaster activity for at least 30 minutes five days a week. Not only will this help to get you fit, it will aid in lowering your A1C level. The ideal level is lower than 7 percent. Use this tip to help keep your A1C level in this targeted range.
If you live close to the Canadian border and drive, consider going to Canada to pick up your Diabetes prescriptions. The Canadian government regulates the sale of prescriptions so that they can't have huge fees added to their cost. Often you can get the exact same medications for a huge discount, and they're safe to take as they're under the same or even stricter health regulations.
To better control your blood sugars, lose any excess weight. If you're suffering from type 2 diabetes even a small decrease in weight can significantly improve your condition. Try eating more non-processed foods and reducing your portion sizes. You can also try getting a moderate amount of aerobic exercises. All these things will help you manage your diabetes as you lose weight.
If you have diabetes, a great tip in managing your blood sugar is to never skip meals. When you skip meals, your body uses the glucose from your liver for fuel. For people with type 2 diabetes, the liver does not sense that the blood has enough glucose, so it keeps pouring out even more glucose. Therefore, skipping meals is not a good idea if you have diabetes.
If you are a diabetic and find that your foods are too bland, you may want to add some cinnamon. It does not contain any sugar, calories, or sodium, so it is healthy for diabetes. Also, some studies suggest that it may even help to lower blood sugar in some people.
Lose weight. Bringing your weight down is not just a casual option; bringing down weight will result in more stable blood sugar levels and less damage. Eat a healthy diet and exercise so that you can drop some weight and help your condition. Some obese diabetics who lose weight find they are no longer diabetic.
If you're diabetic, you need to eat and Blood Sugar Blaster Ingredients check your blood sugar regularly, even if you're feeling sick or don't have any appetite. Long periods of low sugar levels will make you dehydrated, so water and fluids are key at this time.
When it comes to dealing with diabetes, it is important to know that medication can definitely help you but it is not always the cure for the disease. This is important because this medication can sometimes be extremely expensive and it may become frustrating if you do not see the results you expect.
To stay on top of your blood sugar levels, check for blood sugar drops after exercise. Exercising can affect your glucose levels even after it's over. That's because the glucose used during long exercise periods comes from your liver, and after you use it up, your body will later try to restore it. If you don't eat around the time your body tries to do this, the level of sugar in your blood will drop. It's a good idea to check your blood sugar every 45 minutes after exercising to make sure you can take action to correct any imbalances.
Having diabetes makes you prone to foot problems. Take good care of the feet, because if you are careless, complications can arise. These suggestions can help you have healthier feet.
✅𝐇𝐔𝐆𝐄 𝐃𝐈𝐒𝐂𝐎𝐔𝐍𝐓! 𝐇𝐔𝐑𝐑𝐘 𝐔𝐏! 𝐎𝐑𝐃𝐄𝐑 𝐍𝐎𝐖!✅
Although it may seem rather depressing when you find out that you have been diagnosed with diabetes, know that you can still continue living the life you have been leading with a few minor tweaks. You should meet with a nutritionist that will help adjust the diet you are used to.
Put your snacks on a plate. If you eat your snacks out of a bag, you are more likely to eat more of them. Instead, put them on a plate and put the bag away. This way you can see how much you are eating and you will be less likely to grab the bag for more.
Take some of the stress out of living with diabetes by applying the above tips to your everyday routine. Not only will they save you time, but they will help you feel better too.

Hi! I'm also new to the family and I'm already in love with all of them, they're all so amazing , generous and gorgeous, that sometimes I wonder if they're even real ,you know? And I was wondering if there's something I should definitely know about the boys? Or something you think I should know? Thank you for being so sweet and kind to us all, you're the best!!
I can totally understand that you already have them in your heart! 💜 I was lost the very second I started researching interviews. They’re all just so genuine and amazing in their own ways.
What you should definitely know about the boys … In general? They’re incredibly hard-working and dedicated to their work and fandom. They love us, their fans, and miss no chance to let us know how grateful they are for our continuing support. They started out pretty young, especially Jungkook, and have been living together since their trainee days (over 7 years ago). They also repeatedly stated – a fact that seems especially important to Yoongi – that they don’t plan on changing that anytime soon, even though by now they are surely old and ‘rich’ enough to be living by themselves. They consider each other family, they deeply care about, rely upon and are always there for each other. There is so, so, so much more, what I’m sure you’ll find out through watching interviews or videos like Run BTS!, Bts Gayo, Bangtan Bomb …
And what I personally think you should know about each of the members for starters:
1. Kim Seokjin / Jin
the ‘mother’ of BTS
mentioned that he doesn’t like being misgendered, so it’s not intended as a nickname but merely as a description of the role he occupies within the group (he protectively cares for the members in an almost mother-like way [e.g. loves to cook for them] especially, the younger ones, and never misses out on a chance to jokingly lament over the fact that he virtually ‘raised Jungkook on his back’)
DO NOT call him eomma/mom or ‘princess Jin’, as some fans used to because he does not feel comfortable about it!
is mostly responsible for/adamant about keeping the dorm clean (or at least that was the case in their first dorm, back when they used to share a room and sleep in bunk beds. Now they have staff who regularly cleans their new, more luxurious apartment, I believe. Or at least I think Yoongi mentioned something similar in a radio interview/podcast once.)
king of nagging
DAD JOKES
he has a driver’s license
family: parents + older brother
Yoongi once called him a “family man” and an “ideal husband” in an interview
Jin once stated that he would want his firstborn to be a girl and the second child to be a boy so his son would have a noona (older sister) that would treat him kindly and that the boy could look up to since he was often being teased by his hyung (older brother)
last year his parents gifted him the most adorable pet sugar gliders
WORLDWIDE HANDSOME
BROAD SHOULDERS (especially for Korean standards apparently)
considers his face (jokingly?) his greatest asset
but underneath it all he is still very insecure (I believe)
likes hearing others call him cute or handsome
loves doing aegyo
actually needs (rather strong) glasses but doesn’t like wearing them because he can’t feel confident when doing so
recently seems to ponder beginning his a career as a hairstylist??? 😳
should stay away from scissors in the future …
has the most genuine, beautiful, infectious, hilarious windshield laugh
often laughs until he literally tears up
because he freaking loves to laugh
and even more to make others laugh
does not mind making a fool of himself in doing so
was literally cast off the street
a member of the staff spotted him walking by and reportedly started running after him because he was so handsome even back then
graduated from college (majored in acting)
alongside RM (Namjoon), he is considered the worst dancer of BTS
yet he is among the hardest-working members because he previously didn't have any kind of background/experience in either dancing or singing (was cast as a ‘visual’)
and because of that he is very hard on himself
has improved a lot since debut
but is not being given enough credit, appreciation, and lines
he loves cooking and food and eating
EAT JIN 🍜
and once was put on a heartbreaking diet (like all idols at some point, probably, but still, it must’ve been incredibly hard on him) and was repeatedly told by his managers he was fat/chubby 😤 (WHERE? I demand to know…)
SIGNATURE: enthusiastically blowing kisses upon kisses upon kisses + HEART EVENTS
because he is simply the sweetest angel there is
2. Min Yoongi / Suga
the grumpy grandpa of BTS
but also more of a ‘father’
because he is practically the dorm’s handyman (usually responsible for changing light bulbs and stuff)
good at working with his hands and fixing things (which RM previously broke …)
MOTIONLESS MIN (because on his [rare] days off he likes to do literally nothing)
strives to be stone in his next lifetime
likes to sleep (A LOT) and is always tired
can literally sleep anywhere
probably because he likes to work/is especially creative at night (once said most his songs are produced between midnight and 6:00am)
insanely talented lyricist/rapper/producer
actually did not audition to become an idol but to become a producer at Big Hit and work behind the scenes
AGUST D ❗️
claims he got his stage/nickname ‘Suga’ because of his pale complexion and his sweet smile (’wanted to promote sweetly’)
despite his ‘bad boy’ image/attitude (especially on-stage)
his hometown is Daegu (which is what the ‘D’ in AGUST D stands for)
his family also consist of parents + older brother
he moved to Seoul on his own back pre-debut
starved for a few months so he could keep on producing/working on his music and career while living off of under-payed part-time jobs
during that time he developed anxiety (suffered several attacks, even in BTS’ earlier days after debut) and depression (which he openly addresses on his AGUST D mixtape. If you haven’t already you should really give it a listen and study the translated lyrics.)
writes/composes songs every day and can do so everywhere, even in crowded public places
he relieves stress through writing/composing songs
doesn’t like going outside and repeatedly stated he ‘doesn’t like people’ (I believe he refers to being around many strangers/in crowded and loud places)
prefers to stay at home
so his ideal date would also be a comfortable night in
Yoongi is usually on the quieter side
but when he speaks up, damn, you can be sure he has something to say
wise beyond his age
great common/general knowledge
very outspoken and straightforward (’savage Suga’/’savage Yoongi’)
so it’s his task to openly scold the younger members and call them out on their questionable behavior
does have his silly/hyped-up moments, though
and they are priceless
can occasionally actually let loose
but it happens rather rarely
always seems to be very observant and contemplative
GUMMY SMILE
HIS SHRUG
MIN GENIUS
workaholic
tends to overwork himself and neglect self-care/sleep/his health (forgets to eat/skips a lot of meals)
his studio is called the ‘Genius Lab’
seems to regularly put himself on a diet?? he seems to be getting skinnier and skinnier, or is it only me, guys??
claims he doesn’t give a shit
but he actually does
cares a lot about the people close to him, simply doesn’t show it so obviously
does not seem too big on showing it through physical contact, too (once said himself in an interview that he wouldn’t be the kind of boyfriend to hold hands or put his arm around his s/o’s shoulder in public because he isn’t the sweet kind of boyfriend like that)
takes care of them ‘behind the scenes’/’in secret’
beneath the gruff exterior, he’s just a huge softie
used to play basketball in high school and was quite good at it, too
he is second smallest in the group (a few centimeters taller than our mochi Jimin)
which sometimes leads him to jump in order to get into the frame when they are taking group shots at award shows and such (it’s adorable)
does not particularly enjoy physical activities and the way they tire him out
loves meat
can actually cook quite well but isn’t as vocal about it as Jin
also takes cooking very seriously (see Run BTS! Ep. 36, for example)
tends to speak in Satoori dialect when he’s nervous
doesn’t consider himself handsome/charming
wants to become even more successful and for his music to reach as many people as possible
Waaaah ….. These turned out longer than expected. I’ll do the other members, too, later on, sweet anon. And maybe repost this as a real headcanon or something tomorrow. For now I, unfortunately, have to go to sleep because it’s 02:30am here and I have to get up in 4 hours … 😁
I hope this helped/was at least close to what you imagined, anon! Take care and feel free to message me anytime!! 💜

It's also that Eri is pretty much full after their last meal, Weaver! Any more places and he'll actually gain weight or start vomitting!
But… Weaver's right, this place DEFINITELY puts him on edge. And besides…
"Ohhh! A cosplay model, huh? Yeah, that reminds me of Eri. He does do hobby as a cosplay, and… he's around her size too, haha! Anyways, got to get back to work, your order will be here soon! Two special cheesecakes!"
Yeah, he's screaming internally. AND HIDING HIS FACE UNDER THE MENU WHEN ORIN WAS HERE ALL THIS TIME-
But… that's suprisingly open for Weaver. Eri could tell that it's not like she lied, but she definitely knows that he's able to tell that what sounds like a normal conversation to the public is, and Weaver's actual nature, purposely skipping any mystical details. He did note Weaver's glancing towards Orin, which did make him further not press her too much on 'that' part of her.
So she has a family business, and a brother, huh?… And those contracts… it's a lot to take in, as the boy fell into silence.
"So there's someone… the Mind-Maker. So you struck a deal with them, and whatever the trouble was, both you and your brother got into a fight because of it, and you ended up losing your job over it, and you are now working as a talent agent. But…"
That's when the sensitive details come in, and he's afraid to talk about it.
"… Even if you lost your job, your… ahem, your 'skillset' is still with you, right, Weaver? Would your brother and this 'Mind Maker' really not check on you just in case, or are you really sure they're fine letting you go around? If I were in your position, I'll be pretty wary, but... that's just me."
And surely enough, the cakes arrived! They're a bit on the small-size, but it's extremely soft and fluffy! Eri has to put the staff down by making it lie on his lap before he eats it.
"Here we go, go ahead and try it, Weaver! I'm sure you'll love how hu-... I mean, Japanese deserts are."
"Yup! Best cheesecake in the city, you'll love it! Hey, by the way, Weaver said you're a cosplay model, right? I guess that means you have Instagram? What's your ID? And Weaver, if it's alright, mind dropping me your contact info so I could look you up on the net later? I may know a friend who's looking for a job!"
"Aha... uhh... w-well..."
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA
twinfoxtails:
“Yeah, it’s really good and one of my favourite places after a-… W-Wait, you already want to try the next place?!”
Does she have the stomach of a black hole!? He’s already full as it is! Although, with the people looking, there’s a bit of concern and paranoia in him. Did he get found out? Or was the disguise THAT good that no one suspected him? So many questions running through his mind, but he’s trying not to think too much about it.
And before he knew it, he’s already tagging next to Weaver to the next place, which isn’t far from here, but it is a place Eri knows very well. This one isn’t noodles, but it’s-
“Welcome! Ah, hey! I know you! You’re our neighbour, right? I’ve seen you around from time to time. And this is…”
“A-Ahem… S-… Suzuran, nice to meet you, M-Miss. Pardon the staff, it’s heavier than it looks.“
“Yeah, nice to see you too, Suzuran… Hey, have we met? I could have sworn I seen you before, and I don’t mean that as a flirt-”
“Two special cheesecakes please! W-Weaver, what else would you like?”
As usual, there are people staring at them, as Orin directed them at a seat near the window. You know, for the nice view. With the red-haired girl passing the menu, Eri pretty much maintained his ‘Suzuran’ voice while talking to her, in order not to raise any suspicion from Orin. Or at least try not to.
Letting out a small cough, he might as well try communicating with the other, her mysteriousness aside.
“Ahem… say, Weaver… I couldn’t get you after all this time, but… If you don’t want to talk about what exactly are you, how about talking a bit about your backstory, if you like? I think you probably know all about me already, given what you are, so… how about it? As neighbors?”
Truth be told, Weaver only feels hunger because she wants to. She only needs to eat because she decided that. Realistically, food is an alien concept to her, and that’s why it fascinates her so much. Now, she’s getting the sense that Eri wants this to end as soon as possible, bringing her to a dessert place. And while she’d like to go on a fully culinary tour, seeing who’s serving them more than makes up for the missed opportunities. This is a place that will definitely put Eri on edge and put strain on him, and that’s sort of what she wants. She wants to see him squirm.
“I’m sure Eri has mentioned the nature of my work before, this is one of the talents I work with. Suzuran wants to be a famous cosplay model, but is still nervous in public, so we’re having her do regular activities in costume to give positive association with the clothing. So she isn’t overwhelmed when surrounded by a crowd of fans with cameras. She’s still uncomfortable cosplaying near people she knows, so we’ve come to a part of town where no one really knows her.”
Once seated, Weaver rests her chin on her hands, and lets Eri speak, the atmosphere not being suitable for dodging questions. Still, these questions… well these she can answer just fine. And to be fair, he did make a good point about the information imbalance between the two of them.
“Well, I’m from Sendai. The city, not any weird mystical realm. My brother and I worked there in the family business for a long time at the behest of our parents, if you could call them that. Before that we didn’t really come from anywhere that had a name, per se, and there’s no reason to dwell on that. I worked there for a long time, just going through the motions, not really feeling anything. I couldn’t, actually, it wasn’t part of the work so I wasn’t given that capacity. However, I didn’t really understand the people we were working with.”
She glances at Orin from time to time, under the assumption that she can hear everything that goes on in the store. One never could be too careful, after all. Thinking about it, she really could stand to know more about his family. Well, that’s for another time.
“See, the girls I was working with basically relied on dumb luck to whether or not they’d finish their contracts, and would usually just give up or get in over their heads first. My brother didn’t really care, but I found it to be inefficient and wasteful. So I went and contacted the person who made our work possible, a friendly fellow called the mind-maker, and managed to strike a deal that would benefit everyone. Or so I thought. The girls I was working with got into some trouble because of that and the girls my brother worked with ended up having to bail them out. My brother didn’t like that much, and eventually we all got into a fight. I lost the argument, and my job, but honestly, those girls stirred something in me. Their burning passion really opened my eyes to a world I’d been missing while buried in my work. So after the dust had settled, I packed my things and moved here to work as a talent agent. Seeing the passion of my clients and their strong emotions is what gets me up in the morning.” And as if on cue, the cakes arrive.

Mine

Kihyun sighed deeply when he saw you across the park. All he had wanted to do was relieve some stress and take pictures of the scenery, but there you were. Even though his brain told him to just turn around and walk away, his heart froze his feet to the ground. He couldn't look away from you. You were absolutely beautiful. The way your slightly messy hair caught the sunlight, the baggy sweatshirt you wore with the sleeves covering your hands, the way you smiled so brightly made him lift the camera for just one picture. Before he could capture the picture, Kihyun frowned through the lens when he saw who you were smiling at. You fell into your boyfriend's arms and Kihyun was finally able to look away. It felt as though his heart had been ripped from his body.
He knew he shouldn't be so jealous. You had confessed your feelings to him and he didn't respond at all. The two of you didn't talk for a couple months and when you started talking again neither of you had brought the subject back up. Kihyun had wanted to tell you he felt exactly the same, he wanted to say how amazing you were. but he knew he couldn't. Kihyun was a diligent person. He knew with his busy schedule he wouldn't be able to give you everything. He decided you deserved a man that could give you everything. He knew you couldn't wait for him forever. He just really hated seeing you with that man. Kihyun kicked the uneven ground in frustration as he started to walk away.
"Kihyun-ah!" You called out. He hesitated to turn around. He loved the way you said his name. Your voice sounded absolutely beautiful like he remembered.
"Y/N?" He responded as if he hadn't seen you across the park. He finally turned around to see you running towards him.
"Taking pictures I see. Finally got a small bit of free time in your busy schedule?" You knew your boyfriend was waiting for you to come back, but you'd wanted to catch up. Kihyun had seemed to be avoiding you lately and you missed him. If you were being completely honest with yourself you knew Kihyun still came first for you.
"Yeah, just pictures. Still very busy." Kihyun responded sounding irritated with your question. His normally soft dark brown eyes had a cold look to them. He'd been this way since you'd confessed your feelings to him. It wasn't enough that he didn't even bother to answer you, he had to act cold too. You even tried to show him you were moving on.
"Have you had lunch yet?" You asked, not wanting to give up yet.
"Why do you care?" He snapped a bit harsher than he meant to. "Go eat with your boyfriend." Kihyun hated himself for treating you like this. He hated seeing you frown at him, but pushing you away was the only way he could keep a bit of his sanity. He knew he wouldn't be able to go a whole meal watching you with your boyfriend.
"Eat by yourself then." You said as nicely as you could. You wanted to bite back. Your resolve was finally at its breaking point, and you wanted to call him out on all of his crap, but not in front of your boyfriend.
Kihyun shrugged as if it didn't matter and turned away leaving you standing there. Your boyfriend came to retrieve you just as you decided to go after Kihyun this time.
"Ready?" He touched your arm lightly to catch your attention.
"Actually, no. I'm sorry...I just..." you sighed, not knowing how to explain.
"Its ok. I already know." Your boyfriend scoffed, but smiled. "Go after him. Don't worry about me. I knew from the start our time was limited." You stared at him for a second, your eyes wide with shock.
"I'll catch up with you later?" You asked trying to figure out where the two of you stood.
"You know where to find me." He said shrugging. You stood there shocked for a moment. You realized just how poor of a job you had been doing in moving on. You rushed off after Kihyun. He wasn't too far ahead.
"What's with you?" You demanded grabbing his arm to get him to turn around. Kihyun looked shocked for a second, but his face hardened quickly.
"Nothing. Just trying to enjoy my free time."
"Stop it! You know what I mean, Kihyun."
"It's nothing."
"Tell me!"
"You! I hate your baggy sweatshirt and your stupid messy hair and your ridiculous smile!" Kihyun finally blurted out angrily. You looked down at the baggy sweatshirt you were wearing and then back up at him.
"When did you realize you hated me so much? When I told you how I felt?" You glared at him. His cold demeanor changed. He looked down at his feet.
"When I saw that sweatshirt wasn't mine, and I couldn't run my fingers through your hair, and your smile wasn't because of me." Kihyun's voice was quiet and small.
"Y-you're jealous?" You gasped confused. "But...you didn't..."
"I couldn't." Kihyun looked up at you. "We can't. With how busy my schedule is our time would be so limited. I still have my military obligation as well."
"You decided this on your own? You didn't even think to ask me or talk to me about it?"
"I can't give you everything. You deserve someone who can give you everything."
"I don't want what I deserve. The time you could give me would be enough. No matter how short or long. I just wanted you." Tears threatened to fall and you turned away from him.
"I didn't think you would want to wait for me. It wouldn't be fair of me to ask that of you." Kihyun touched your shoulder gently. You turned, looked up at him, and he softly brushed away the tears that had escaped. You made up your mind in that moment. You would wait as long as it took until he felt ready.
"Meet me at our coffee shop in an hour." You knew what to do now. He felt the same way. Your heart felt like it was going to explode. You left him standing there looking puzzled.
Kihyun wanted to go after you, but he had already admitted everything. All the thoughts and feelings he had since you confessed were finally out in the open. He felt relieved, but also nervous. The next step was your choice now. He finally knew how you felt for the past 5 months. It was torture.
Kihyun's thoughts turned to the coffee shop. There was a few you liked to share just for the two of you. He didn't want to choose the wrong one. He finally settled on the coffee shop the two of you first met at. He was so anxious he got to there thirty minutes before he had to. He sat and fiddled with his phone.
"Kihyun-ah." You called out as soon as you arrived. He got up as you approached, took your hand, and walked you over to order. It didn't take long until the two of you were sitting across from each other at the table. Your gaze lingered on your coffee. When you finally looked up, Kihyun's dark brown eyes met yours and your heart skipped a beat.
"Y/N..." he held your hands in his.
"I will wait for you." You said in a small voice, half expecting him to try to talk you out of it. "I don't want anyone else, because...because...I love you. So, for as long as it takes, I'll wa-" Kihyun pulled you closer and kissed you mid sentence. He brushed his fingers down the side of your face while you caught your breath.
"I don't want to wait. I want you. I love you." Kihyun sighed before kissing you again.

What does success look like in life, to you? Have you ever sat down and listed the goals that you actually want to achieve in life? It's one thing to run through these goals in your mind, but another to actually view them on paper, to give you a clearer view of what you actually want to achieve for yourself. Once you have that clear view, what is your plan to achieve them? It's interesting, the number of people that would love to achieve goals in their life, but dismiss they will never happen, unless they win the lottery or they inherit a big sum of money. People are not prepared to roll up their sleeves, or take that risk, down a different path, to actually work towards achieving their goals. It's just all too hard and requires too much effort, or to have to make a change you just don't want to make. The successful people of the world have had to make numerous sacrifices, take several risks and overcome some difficult challenges, in order to achieve what their success, so why can't you? What is your real reason, or excuse, you aren't prepared to do the same?
Zdravko has written a great article here, starting with something as basic, as the importance of our health. We live in a fast paced & competitive world, so we tend to sacrifice things such as sleep and exercise, to accommodate our busy working life, along with either skipping meals or eating regular fast food meals, in order to maximize our time. Doing these things is actually having a detrimental effect on our health, all because of the demanding work pressures and long hours of work. I know of someone who survives on 5 hours of sleep each night, with their reason being that they have just become accustomed to it now. You need a minimum 7.5 to 9 hours of sleep per night, in order for your body to adequately rest and recharge, which of course includes our brain, to which we need to function at full capacity, to best make effective decisions. There are no excuses not to exercise! If you can't pry yourself away from watching evening television, to fit at least 30 minutes a day of exercise in, then at least buy yourself a treadmill, or an exercise bike, and do some physical activity, whilst watching your shows. I'm no dietitian, but if you find yourself buying fast food regularly, as you're late home from work, then you're firstly in the wrong job, but secondly, you have no control over your lifestyle or time management. The other thing you may be doing as a bad habit, is eating close to bedtime. You should always allow yourself a minimum of 3 hours after dinner, before going to bed.
There are so many great pieces of advice in this article, which I will let you explore for yourself, but after doing so, start creating your plan for success. Think about some of the things you need to start sacrificing, or you need to start doing better, or more of, or less of. My first sacrifice, on my journey to achieve my goals, was saying goodbye to a regular fortnightly salary, in quitting a job I held for over 10 years. Although that salary was regular, it was never going to be enough to get me to my goals. In starting my own business, I am in control of my own income now and as a result, it encourages me to work harder than ever, I have grown as an individual and it's a great journey in personal development. It's refreshing to know that each day, my role is to liaise with people, all around the world, who are serious about achieving their goals, and provide them with a wonderful opportunity to work from home & highlight the pathway to achieving their goals. It's a win/win situation, as I get to help others achieve their goals, whilst working towards achieving my own in the process. Feel free to reach out to me for more information.

Never A Dull Morning
Clare: smiled as she heard his solution to the concerns she'd pointed out. "Great idea. That sounds fair to me. What will you do about the unsure column though?" She asked curiously. Dakota was already on his way to becoming a good businessman. She wished her parents weren't so narrow minded about certain things because they'd be impressed by him if they gave him a chance. Clare's dad was a hotshot lawyer but she knew for a fact the only job he'd had at fifteen was bagging groceries. "Of course I am. I'm not the one with a human weight on my back." She said with a chuckle. Clare was of two minds about when to go public. She didn't want to flaunt a new relationship around school. It wasn't her stye and what if things fell apart quickly like they had with K.C or they decided it would be better to just be friends like her and Eli? But Clare also wanted to be able to hold Dakota's hand and kiss him. Plus they weren't keeping the fact that they were dating a secret. She knew she was going to tell Alli on the phone tonight. "Gross, I don't want to taste other girls on your lips." She teased laughing a little. Clare didn't care about his past but that happening in the present would definitely bother her. She was only human, she got jealous and worried about boyfriend stealers. She continued to push down on his back as he did pushups. "Okay, I do want to go public not necessarily so everyone knows you're unavailable. But because I think there are reasons for me to have faith in us and if I'm afraid to show it, then we really won't work out." Clare explained. Her smile faded when she saw Monica. She instantly knew this had something to do with that other girl. When she got to her feet, Clare stared down their classmate making it clear she wasn't leaving so Monica would have to speak in front of her. Their conversation was weird. Clare knew all along that Monica still liked Dakota, she'd told him so, but why was Monica 'pimping out' the boy she liked? It seemed to be some weird control thing that Clare didn't even want to try to understand. She didn't like head games that's why she had such a hard time making friends with the girls at school. Her stomach started to churn. Monica was someone Clare never had a problem with until now but how she was treating Kota wasn't right. Even if they weren't together, she'd be disgusted by Monica thinking she got to chose who someone else dated. Buying someone a present or making out with them didn't mean, you had a hold on them. Kota didn't owe Monica or Clare for that matter anything. He was dating her because he wanted to. What was wrong with Monica? Clare snorted derisively when Monica tried to threaten her. They would literally have to jump her or pull a weapon on her for it to have any real effect. She could stand up for herself and she had Kota, and her friends. Of course Clare was a little scared just not enough for it to show. Elizabeth's arrival stopped her from worrying about what Monica and her 'friends' might do for the moment. She knew the older girl was a cheerleader. Something that didn't matter to Clare one way or the other. She gave Elizabeth a friendly smile. "Hi, it's great to meet you! Sure, I hope we'll get to talk more soon. I'd love knowing Kota's real friends." Clare said giving Monica a pointed look over Elizabeth's shoulder as they hugged. "Kota the matchmaker. I love it. If his success rate is that good maybe he can find a nice girl for my best friend Adam." She just dared Monica to say anything about that. "Thank you." She waved goodbye to Elizabeth. She might need someone to talk to since Darcy was el communicado. Clare sighed and rolled her eyes at Monica's comments. It was a shame that Elizabeth wasn't well liked for her personality or because she worked hard to earn her spot as captain. She'd still be popular even if she was the meanest girl in school. "You know if you're so concerned with that stuff Monica, you should be more careful. I have connections too." Clare didn't take advantage of them but Monica didn't know she wouldn't. She smiled at Kota. "I'm ready when you are. My parents will probably want me to attend the evening service at church since I skipped the morning one. So let's get going." She lead the way to the playground so they could find Emi. Clare held Kota's hand all the way back to his house too with Emi holding his other hand. "Are we eating before we go to the aquarium?" Clare asked wanting to know if she should change into her new clothes now or after lunch.
Kota: listened as Clare spoke. "I plan to use that column as a tie breaker if they tie." He answered aund thought more, but the more the thought about it, the more ideas he had. "Thinking more, why don't I just make two shirts one with the new bunny and one with the old, see what one sells more? If they both sell, we keep them both." He mused. Once they got Emi and went back home, he looked down at Emi. "Can we eat at the aquarium?" She asked and he looked at Clare. "Mind eating there?" He asked as he noticed Kelly walking into the room. "You have a letter." Kelly said handing Emi her mail. "Is it from Mama?" He asked noticing how excited she was and already opening it. "No, it's from Momoko. She said she promises to keep me updated on everything they learn, that way when mama comes back, I won't be behind in school." She smiled and looked over the pages. "She's teaching me more about kanji and more letters." Emi sighed. "Are they advanced letters?" Kota asked and she nodded. "They're the ones we need to use for words, once we learn these, we will be able to learn words." She said honestly and ran to her and Kota's room. "I guess that's our sign to get dressed." He said looking at Clare. "Not so fast, young man." He heard and saw his grandfather only to run and hug him. "Business?" Kota asked. "Teaching. I got you a bank account so you can budget your money. I put the money your mother told me to keep aside for you in a savings account. You have access to put more in and gain interest, but cannot access it until graduation. What you have made is in there for you to spend, you just need to activate it." His grandfather said and stood up. "Don't introduce me to your girlfriend yet, I can tell she's a nice girl, but I want to be properly introduced over a nice meal whenever you both are available so we can talk more, I have a meeting soon." He said and nodded curtly to Clare with a smile on his face as a way of saying goodbye to her, then waved and left. "He gave me checks too, what sixteen year old uses checks?" He asked rhetorically. "I'll teach you after homework on Monday." His mom assured and he lead Clare to his room. "We need to go dress shopping before going out to dinner with my grandpa. I don't want to sound rude, but probably will regardless since I can't teach you what you need to know. I'll probably tell you what to order depending on where we are going." He said honestly. "The dress will have to be kept here since your parents will probably ask where you got it." He stated honestly as he rummaged through his clothes. He had taken out a shirt and shorts, then opened the bathroom door for Clare. "I'll help you so don't be nervous when we go to dinner." He assured and kissed her chastely. After she was in the bathroom, he got dressed and waited for Clare.
