Thanks for the love! It very much will continue, but we'll have to ask for patience since we want to set up the first couple asks a bit lore elaborately and we're both quite busy at the moment.

(We‘re not quite sure what you mean, but if you‘re asking if there is going to be Rapunzel/Cassandra, then yes there will be. This rewrite is explicitly going to explore the polyamorous development of Rapunzel/Eugene, Rapunzel/Cassandra and Eugene/Cassandra. So if that‘s your cup of tea I hope you enjoy! And if it isn‘t, then there‘s no need to interact with our blog. No harm in that 👍)

Tangled the (Rewritten) Series - Pilot Script, Final Part!

We cut to the dungeon, Eugene sitting in his cell looking miserable and dejected. Rapunzel rushes in and presses close to the bars, but Eugene does not get up.

RAPUNZEL: I’m sorry, I didn’t know he was gonna bring in a witness so soon - I should’ve prepared better -

EUGENE: It’s fine, it’s good, all good… [he hesitates for a moment] You could have told me about all the moral stuff though! That could’ve been helpful!

RAPUNZEL: I didn’t have a lot of time to talk to you! And I thought you’d - you know - figure it out!

EUGENE: You didn’t come down at all the past two days, sunshine! I - yeah I figured it out, I’m not that dense, but it’s a little different when the entire fucking kingdom stares knives at you as your whole life gets dismissed as one big mistake!

RAPUNZEL: But - isn’t it? The stealing and all, you didn’t actually like doing that, right? You were only doing that because you had no other choice. We just need to make everyone understand that!

CASSANDRA: Rapunzel -

Eugene averts his eyes and takes a step back, which makes Rapunzel only lean more into the jail bars.

RAPUNZEL: Eugene?

Eugene, if you'll forgive me bringing up such a sensitive topic, do you ever find Cass reminding you of Stalyan?

Eugene later does think about Cassandra having some similar level of sass as his old flame, but pushes those thoughts far, far away.

He literally just proved to everyone that he is ready to commit to this new life. The past has no more space in his mind.

Resuming our rewrite with an ask blog format!

We have now reached the end of the pilot!

Anyone who’s been following this may have noticed how slow progress has been. I promise this hasn’t been abandoned and it’s not going to be, we’ve just had a hard time with being able to consistently work on this project due to time zone differences and life responsibilities and all that. So we’ve decided to try a new way to tell this story and turn our tumblr blog into an ask blog! 

Questions to our tumblr will be treated as questions asked by the citizens of Corona, and answered by Rapunzel or her friends. We will still be covering our plot, just changing the format to make it easier on us as creators and to enable more audience interaction. 

Comments left on AO3 will not be treated as part of the ask blog, and should be left for us, the writers. To interact with the ask blog, please send an ask on tumblr at https://www.tumblr.com/tangledrewrite. Asks sent there will be assumed to be for Rapunzel and friends unless specified otherwise, but questions to the writers are still welcome! Just make a note of who it’s for. 

We will not be doing any more scripts, but everything on the ask blog will be crossposted to AO3. Posts there may be slower and cover multiple blog posts but will still have everything you need to follow along.
