Hi, my name is Mosab , and I’m from Gaza. Life here has been harder than I could ever imagine, but today I’m sharing my story with hope in my heart, because your kindness has already given us so much strength.

This journey hasn’t been easy. The war has taken 25 family members from us—25 beautiful souls we loved deeply. Their laughter, their presence, their love… all of it is gone, leaving behind memories that are both precious and painful. This is a poem I wrote that has been in my drafts for a while.

Beneath the Birch

There was a place once,

where sunlight slipped through silver branches,

and shadows danced on soft grass.

An old wooden swing swayed gently,

carrying whispers of afternoons

too simple to notice they were fleeting.

I remember how the air smelled—

like earth, rain, and something sweet.

My hands wrapped tight around the rope,

feet brushing against time,

pushing forward, always forward,

but never wanting to leave.

It felt safe there,

as if the world outside couldn’t reach,

as if the leaves knew secrets

they’d only share in rustling laughter.

Now, I stand in places that echo,

searching for that same kind of stillness,

that same soft pull of belonging.

But the swing is empty,

the branches higher,

and I am only a shadow

of the child who knew how to fly.

Yet, in quiet moments,

I feel it again—

the creak of wood,

the promise of return

to a place that never left me.

In honor of my medical and mental health journey, I will be listing “health stats”.

Mental Health Diagnosis: ADHD, generalized anxiety disorder, gender dysphoria, and religious trauma(not in my diagnosis file but my therapist said I have it).

Physical Health Diagnosis: PCOS, vaginismus.

Upcoming: Doctors appointment to see if I have asthma.

I want to make it VERY CLEAR that this isn’t supposed to be a post to romanticize my conditions. This is to celebrate getting diagnosed because, with a diagnosis, doctors tend to take things a bit more seriously.

I’m celebrating the fact that I can get help and learn to live with these conditions and not have them negatively impact my quality of life.

Hello, hope this message find you well? I just came across your GoFundMe and i see that your cause is relevant and worth donations. But i wonder why you have not reach the goal. If i may ask, have you ever considered any creative way to attract potential donors who are passionate to donate towards your campaign?

Since it’s not personally mine I haven’t really planned anything big but I am open to suggestions. It’s his mom that made the GoFundMe and I just wanted to post it somewhere in case I can get at least one person to give something.
