Small Ways I'm Planning to Be More Punk as a College Student (And Ways You Can Be Too!!)

Making small boxes of menstrual products to put in public restrooms (or adding to existing ones! especially in the men's bathrooms because some men/non binary people menstruate <3)

Making zines! You can make them easily and they're easy to distribute!

Getting involved in activist clubs and clubs for marginalized identities! Literally any involvement will help!

Go to your local post office and grab the sticker shipping labels! Write your message and stick them around on lampposts and such!)

Support local businesses! College towns have a lot of fun local places!

Volunteer!! Volunteer!!

Educate yourself!! Go to attend guest speakers' lectures! Keep up to date on the news!

Go vote!! Not voting is not an option any more!!

Go to and/or donate to thrift stores!

If you have paint! Make pins and/or patches!

If you can! Attend protests! If you can't, provide support to protesters by bringing water or filming police activity!

Kill lantern flies!!

Repost important information online!

Smile at people! Kindness is punk!!

Support your local libraries!

my sister and I have this wonderful relationship in which we ignore all of her serious attempts on my life over the past four years and she just nods when I point at some dumb shit that the US government is doing and say “worm” because she completely understands what I mean

My personal theory is that the Brain Worm is still in there. He has no more brain only Worm. The Brain Worm is in control now and is trying to destroy the health of the world so that other Brain Worms may find suitably incompetent hosts.

I hate this motherfucker the most. People in my family who should know better fell under the sway of this lying, psychotic monster. If you’ve ever loved anyone with any kind of disability, you are betraying them by looking up to this man and giving weight to anything he says.

My personhood, my who, my what,

has been so skewed that not even I can recall

who it is that I am.

Perhaps that is the core of the Stranger-

not the fear of not knowing others,

but the fear that you can never know yourself.

I have always found a painful beauty

in destruction.

The careful lines of flames etching into wood

before everything crumbles to dust.

I am no stranger to broken things.

It seems that I break everything I touch

far faster than most people do.

The frayed, overused wires,

the crumpled papers that line my bookbags,

broken glass shards around my feet.

I am an overused candle,

never allowed to fully set in tallow or wax;

lumpy, drippy, and shriveling into nothingness

Just another set of careful flame-licked lines

crumbling into ash.
