The memories, insane.

another cold freezing summer

burned by the sudden clutch of his

disappearing touch

she lifted a lid that numbed her warmth

the silence between them was a winter

I made the tiring mistake of following your Vanishing footsteps,

Ignoring the warnings that whispered in the wind,

I am now alone and exhausted,

Regretting the day I chose to follow you.

The attachment to feelings > the attachment to you.

For the words from my lips you don't believe. The sun in your eyes burns me deep, a moment where I lost my sleep.

I lied I was okay,

I lied I was fine.

But,

I was drowning in a bitter wine.

I painted on a smile,

And acted so strong.

But,

This charade never lasted long.

I masked my tears,

And hid my despairs.

Yet,

No one knew I have been falling apart for years.

In the end...

No-one claimed me mine!

The weathered old pages of her sombre face

For beneath the dust, and soiled emotions hidden in the dark...

Lies a narrative waiting—to come, burn this ark.

I'll let go with a teary goodbye,

One day I will outgrow you,

With a much broader smile.

My 324 Love Poem

Like tiny stars,

Eyes share,

The stories hidden within.

I used to chase after penny love

Desperate for someone to fill the void

But all I found were temporary highs and permanent sighs

And empty hollow promises that left me destroyed
