i just cant stop thinking about how patia was so fucking alone. Nydas had his brother and his soliders, laerryn and quay had each other, cerrit had his family, zerxus the son he  chose eternal torment to give a chance to. 

but patia had nobody. Only the city and the memory of a man so literally and overwhelmingly larger than her in statue. A hundred foot tall grandfather. She was a librarian, essentially too. Her family was avalir, was the age of arcanum, was legacy. All gone.  

I could go on for absurdly long. Marisha Ray went for ex gifted kid’s throats and it has left me genuinely devastated
