When they meet again, both are very different men. The lightness they both had was gone but in very different ways. While cole wanted to settle down, have something constant, hanzo thought the idea of pursuing anything romantic again to be foolish. After all, it didn’t turn out so great the first time did it? But coles not giving up and no matter how hard hanzo tries, cole will always have a place in his heart.

Also I’m getting back into overwatch I’ve decided it’s cool again and my for second (2) post back I will say this: hanzo and cole met during a black watch mission in their twenties. The start of their relationship was very one sided for hanzo, cole more so entertaining the eager young heir for temporary fun. During a fight between genji and their father it is accidentally revealed that they are seeing each other. As punishment, shimada senior takes hanzos legs and jesses arm. When hanzo wakes up after, he is so blinded by rage that he blames genji and kills him for it. At least he thinks. Years later hanzos brother returns from the grave and convinces him to atone for his past by doing good in the present. Fortunately for hanzo, his brother isn’t the only ghost waking the halls of overwatch.
