Happy Pride 2019, Tumblr!
There are so many ways to celebrate this beautiful month! Pride parades and festivals and marches will take place all over the U.S. to elevate our LGBTQIA+ selves, friends, and family. Your Tumblr dashboards deserve to feel just as commemorative, so all month long we’re going to be highlighting amazing LGBTQIA+ Tumblrs for you to follow.
As we celebrate, we also want to remember the serious event from which Pride has evolved. This month marks the 50th anniversary of the beginning of the Stonewall Riots, a series of political protests that began at The Stonewall Inn in New York City. Young Black and brown LGBTQIA+ people—particularly trans POC—were the first to stand up and protest against the police brutality and inhumane treatment of people within their community. They deserve to be remembered, respected, and honored.
Tumblr media
And so, this year, our theme is “Educate. Advocate. Celebrate.” We’re sharing resources and information about the LGBTQIA+ community to help educate those who are not as knowledgeable about the history of the community. We’re advocating for the community by providing links to helpful resources, small businesses owned by LGBTQIA+ folks, and non-profits to support. And, of course, we want you to celebrate who you are. Through that, we’ll be spotlighting non-profit organizations, LGBTQIA+ artists on Tumblr, and more throughout the month right here on @action. There are so many wonderful LGBTQIA+ Tumblrs out there, and we want to continue to support and uplift them.
There’s also a little bit of fun added across the platform. See the Tumblr “T” up at the top on the left on desktop web? Hover your mouse and see it cycle through different LGBTQIA+ flag colors, including the traditional LGBTQ+ rainbow flag, trans flag, non-binary flag, genderqueer flag, lesbian flag, POC LGBTQ+ flag and more. Using the app? Open up the sticker drawer and find some of those Pride flag in sticker form to use however you see fit.
Tumblr media
We want to know how and who you’re educating, advocating, and celebrating this month. Is it you? Your parents? Your best friend? Is there a small business owner we should know about? Make a post about ‘em! Make sure to tag your post with #Tumblr Pride so the whole community can find it.
Stay safe and stay kind, Tumblr. ❤️

Lost
A flash of light cleaves the gloomy sky, the rolling clouds thunders fiercely, covering the sun’s light. The cerulean sea violently smashes Cairan’s city walls, one wave higher than another, like ravenous beasts craving for the flesh of all living beings. Dazzling flames dance around the city’s buildings as if the whole city is their stage, performing in front of us all elegantly, leaving traces of ash. The Cairanian’s screams like the sopranos in those operas of the outer world, while it combines with the chaos, the screams smooth all sounds into a vigorous symphony.
I open my hand, a blooming cherry blossom gently lands into my palm, it feels like silk. The soft pink was lightly dusted with coal-dark ashes, making it seem even more vulnerable and beautiful than usual.
Everything seems ferocious: the rain, the lightning, the waves.
Everything seems glorious: The fire, the chaos, the fragile beauty.
I close my eyes to feel the rain gliding through my forehead, my cheek and my throat. I never knew rain could be so cold and brutal, nothing like the soft, gentle rain controlled by the AI ‘Weather Manager’.
Then I hear a gun cocking sound. Before I manage to flinch, a cold object is pressed hard against my back of the head, I can feel it’s a trembling gun. The owner of the gun trembled furiously, almost dropping the gun for more than once. Thunder drummed above us trying to draw our attention, but neither of us looked up. The gun, it must be her.
Both of us remained silent, none of us moved. But we both know there is an untold war simmering under this nerving silence. I know I should be afraid, but among all emotions, only one course through my veins. I turn to face her and smiling with relief, she dazes for a moment, then harden her expression into the look I usually give her when I was her assassination skills trainer.
“Do it,” I whisper seductively, “act like the killer I trained you to be. Don’t hesitate.”

The midnight blooms are,
The ecstasy climax of death.
his hurry breath is,
The autumn’s rain, the snow-white waves and the thundering storm.
To be comforted,

Quote
I think the saddest thing in the world is a twenty-five-year-old talking about the stock market. Or taxes. Or real estate, goddamn it! That’s all you’ll talk about when you’re forty. Real estate! Any twenty-five-year-old who says the word refinance should be taken out and shot. Talk about love and music and poetry. Things everyone forgets they ever thought were important. Waste every day, that’s what I say.
