So I've been working on a little story at night, like a page or two a night.

I've rewritten it like 4 times and I think I'm happy with how It's going currently.

I don't think it's great, there are tons of people who could write it better then me.

He has seen his best friend die and the love of his life died before he could tell her.

Layton has the unfortunate curse of loosing loved ones about every ten years. He lost his family and it was so bad his mind blocked the event out, his best friend literally slipped from his fingers as a teen and it traumatized him, his girlfriend died in an explosion that was caused by her coworker, he spent eight years alone after that, and then he was blamed for his friends death, had several near death experiences, lost MORE family, has been drugged twice and had to fight multiple giant machines trying to kill him. The man has such bad touch starvation he can barely return hugs from the people he loves most, HE NEEDS MORE HUGS! And a therapist.

Nina:

Earns the award for having the worst dad ever

She was experimented on by her father, who turned her into a chimera by fusing her and her dog. Father who did the same thing to her mother two years ago. And for what ? For science ? Mostly to keep his status as a state alchemist. The worst of all is, even after all this, Nina still loved her father. She was pained to see him being beat up for doing that to her, and she cried when he was murdered in front of her, not understanding that he was a horrible person (she was just a child after all). She was killed right after, but it's not even the worst thing to happen to her because she could never have turned back into a human.
