I keep thinking how sad it is that Liam’s story ended where it did. People are ‘supposed to’ hit rock bottom and then recover; to use these moments to turn their lives around instead.

It’s so sad for him that he couldn’t see how loved he was or how much he still had to lose. It’s so sad for the people who loved him, whose last memories will be of him struggling.

I think Liam was just a normal kid who was victimized and exploited. He ended up being someone who took that suffering and turned it on the people around him, who was made to feel powerless and dealt with it by seeking power over others. That isn’t right. The things he is accused are horrible. But I don’t think he would have become that sort of person if he had been protected when he needed it. We should all mourn the loss of the kind and decent person he was once, and could have been.

He deserved the chance to recover, to climb out of the hole he was in, to get sober and make amends and find happiness. Everyone deserves that chance. And I am sad for all of us that we will never know who he could have been on the other side of healing.

it is all the love to all of the boys, of course it is, but i think we all understand why it's sending special love to louis because i just can't wrap my head around going through so much pain again and again and again. and i know he will be coming out of this even stronger, but at some point you've got to ask yourself how much one single person can take

i have. not like a fantasy obviously but i knew one day i might read about one of them dying and i never knew how i’d react. i still don’t know how to react. i’ve just been sitting here. but in the last year or two i’ve been especially worried about liam and his well being. the online harassment started long before he had anything to do with maya—what happened during their relationship isn’t my business and i hope maya heals from it. but the vitriol against liam existed before that and only gave people a moral high ground to stand on to justify their cruelty. people made jokes about his appearance, his talent, his sobriety, etc long before maya said anything. i really really hope this wasn’t a suicide but if it was i wouldn’t be surprised. i’m just sitting here thinking maybe someone will come out and say haha got you! it’s a joke! but a man is dead and he was only 31 and i never actually prepared myself to grieve any member of one direction
