a piece of advice from an old-timer: counting isn’t as hard as it looks. see, i used to think you had to be super smart to count really high. i did, i really thought that geniuses would spend all day counting. but then i got smart and realized there's a pattern to the whole thing. if you know the order of the ones and tens, then you can get through the hundreds. and if you've got the hundreds down, then the thousands are a breeze. Just keep your head up, kid, ok? you'll be a counting wiz like me before you know it

Pioneering a "how much craft per craft" scale that determines how much of the time you spend doing any given handcraft is actually spent on what a layperson would imagine the core of the craft is vs other associated tasks.
