alright its been a couple days, i’ll give my review—

the feast. my god the feast.

i was out doing my nightly personal therapy out on the swings at the park when i saw the previews..seeing him make a shirley temple for some kids + wanting to tell them stories about him n his buddy logan made me giddy for the rest of the night

sure, the recent sabretooth mini series had its humanizing moments, but we havent had good sabretooth dialogue since sabretooth n the exiles(and whatever issues victor lavalle wrote for sabretooth war)

the thing is about the way he was portrayed is that it isnt just a flipped au ‘nice’ version, its genuinely how regular timeline sabretooth would act if given the chance to do so, similar to how his inverted arc was. all the normal sabretooth traits were still there, along with the other stuff he usually doesnt get to show. the only thing different about this timeline is how the world is, but hes still the same mentally, its just if he were allowed to have gone down a different path

the twist on the morlock massacre with him taking care of the the morlock kids was pretty nice too….

and obviously i freaked out a bit over the somewhat fond wolvertooth flashback, which i’ll be talking about in its own post

as i suspected, he ended up being involved in the rescuing of logan(or half right, as logan technically went to him. vics still gonna be involved in the deprogramming of his brain in the next issue tho, so i got that right at least)

i dont think he knew for sure if logan was dead. i think it was something he wished were the case, hoping that he wasnt still out somewhere being tortured

but his worst nightmare scenario ending up coming true, right in front of him.

it wasnt just a promise to kill him if he got captured, it was a promise to keep him safe from that ever happening

i hope the next issue addresses at least a bit of how much this would all be affecting vic. cuz thats a lotta guilt hes suddenly dealing with….
