It's kind of interesting how Sabretooth and Gambit's story seemed to cross paths quite a bit in the 90s, despite Gambit not being all that involved in the (now super) convoluted history of Weapon X. It seems to be largely through their shared history with Mr. Sinister.
I found this Gambit collection that is almost more about Sabretooth than Gambit.
The first story is Sabretooth recounting a story to the X-Men of a time when they both were involved with the same target and Sabretooth forced Gambit to choose between the item and the woman (Sabes gets a "I'm a bad person, but you definitely aren't a good person" moment with his client).
Sabes' other appearances are from that... Morally dubious time in the X-Men when, in a fight, Wolverine ended up lobotomizing Sabes and he revert into a childlike cat-man that basically gets treated like a pet. Like, Sabretooth is a serial killer and has harmed a great many people, so it's not necessarily a tragedy this happened to him... But this also isn't... Great way to handle anyone? It is uncomfortable!
From "The Nature of Evil". Gambit, wrapped up in his own guilt, forces lobotomized Sabretooth to face the victims of his full cognizant self (his first victim was his psychiatrist when he was 9, leaning into the "he's inherently violent because of his mutation!" backstory that I hate).
The only one of these stories of these stories that doesn't heavily feature Sabes is "Dreams Die".

Victor Creed, quietly living in a cabin (with NO basement) off the grid, in the middle of a giant lakefront acreage with endless woods surrounding him.
Victor Creed, who's so off the radar these days none of the X-men (or Brotherhood) would even know where to find him, let alone hassle him.
Victor Creed, who still visits Logan on his birthday, but the burning rage has fizzled out over the years and they just tussle for old times sake before splitting a case of beer and trading stories from the War(s) until the sun rises.
Victor Creed, eating when he wants, sleeping when he wants, fighting when he wants. Following no orders, tied by no chains and behind no bars.
Victor Creed, finally being free.

I found out that Wolverine is 5’3, and Sabretooth is 6’6….tall about a Great Dane Vs a Chihuahua.
