Sumi arrived in the apartment a couple of minutes later that night. On her way, she had stopped in a small store that sold baby accessories. In her mind, she pictured the way Jungkook would react when he saw the tiny pair of beige baby shoes, the positive pregnancy test and the ultrasound pictures sitting on his pillow. She couldn’t wait to see his face.
She opened the front door and entered the apartment. On her way to the living room, she noticed that she wasn’t alone.
“Oh, hello Eun-woo.” She said a bit surprised as she saw the boy’s manager sitting at the kitchen counter of their apartment.
Being the manager, he had keys to all studios and apartments the boys were located. It was moments like when it annoyed Sumi, that there was basically no privacy from this guy.
Sumi knew that he didn’t like her. One of the reasons Jungkook and her were keeping their relationship out of the picture at work, was an initial problem caused by Eun-woo when he found out that the two young adults were together. Despite the deal they made, the man did not hide his dislike of their relationship, especially not in front of her.
“Hello, Miss Malone.” He said in a neutral tone, taking a sip of his glass. “I was counting on meeting the boys here when I arrived. But the house is empty. I hope you don’t mind that I waited for them.”
She did mind it.
“I don’t mind. They are out with the vocal coach.” Sumi just replied as she made her way past the man. “I think it will still take a while until they arrive home.”
It didn’t fit Sumi at all that he was here, today out of all days. Decently, she tried to hide the baby items that she carried in the small bag along with her gym bag. If he saw the baby items, he would make a fuss out of it before she could tell any of the boys. She needed to avoid that by all costs.
“Maybe you should come back tomorrow.” She quickly said as she walked faster to pass by him. “I can tell them that you were here.”
Eun-woo just nodded his head, as he emptied the last bit of water. He put the glass down and stood up from the bar chair, slowly making his way into her direction.
“Then I guess I will come back tomo -.” He stopped, as his gaze wandered down her arm and towards the hand that she was trying to hide unnotably. “What do you got there? What is that?”
He pointed his finger directly at the little bag that she was grabbing tightly with her fingers, a stern tone in his voice. He kept walking towards the girl.
“Nothing.” She quickly replied, but before she could pull her hand away, the man had snatched the bag out of her hand. “It’s – ehm – it’s a present for a friend. I bought that for her.”
Sumi stuttered, trying to get the bag back into her hands. She saw the expressions on neutrality leaving the managers face as he opened the bag and stared at the three little items. Eun-woo slowly pulled the ultrasound pictures out of the bag. He stared at them for a couple of seconds, before his face turned angry red.
“Are you kidding me?” He growled angrily, and before Sumi could react, he had already crumbled the pictures in his fist. “Are you fucking kidding me?!”
He repeated louder. Sumi gasped in panic as she watched the man throwing the crumbled pieces of paper back into the bag, before throwing everything to the ground.
“What did you do?” She yelled, trying to reach the items before they hit the ground. But the man was faster. “Stop that!”
He grabbed her by the shoulders with both hands, digging his fingers into her flesh and pushing her backwards into the wall
“I knew you were bringing trouble to me.” By now he was almost yelling into her face. “I knew you were messing everything up by sleeping around with any of them. We should have never hired a woman!”
Sumi saw red. She couldn’t even process what was going on. That Eun-woo was going to react bad she was prepared for, that he was going to flip out like this she didn’t expect. Tears streamed down her face, as she tried to squirm out of his grip.
“Let me go!” She yelled back, but the man was stronger. “It is not my –“
“Shut up!” He kept yelled, pushing her harder against the wall. “You listen to me carefully now. That Jungkook was having his fun with you was acceptable for me, but I will not let you ruin this hype. If anyone finds out that he has a child, we will lose profit. Girls around the world will stop idolizing him. Jungkook is our guarantee for those girls. We cannot afford to lose that.”
He stopped for a second, his eyes filled with pure seriousness as he continued.
“You will abort that child.” He spat at her. “Did you get me? Jungkook will never know about this.”
Sumi gasped at the words he was throwing at her.
“I will not abort the child!” She screamed back at the man, suddenly feeling a woosh of power racing through her body, as she pushed him back.
The man stepped back a couple of steps, still looking at her sternly. Then he started laughing.
“Then you leave me no other choice.” His voice was suddenly scarily low. “This is your last chance.” He stretched his hand out towards her neck with an enormous speed, pushing her hard against the wall. Sumi gasped in pain, as he leaned closer to her face. His eyes never leaving hers.
“You will pack your stuff now. You will leave this apartment and never come back. If I find out, that you try to come close to any of the boys again; or that you try to contact them in any way –“ He stopped for a second. “ – I will find your child and I will make you regret all the choice you made in your life.”
Sumi’s heart raced hard, her hands instantly moving toward towards her lower abdomen without thinking about it. How could she choose between the man that she loved and the child that she carried? Even though the fetus was just as big as a pea, she had felt so much love for it already. She would never let anyone hurting her baby.
“GO AND PACK YOUR STUFF! NOW” The man’s voice ripped her out of her state of shock, as he pushed her in the direction of their room.
She sprinted forwards. In no time, she filled a backpack full of cloths. She didn’t even know what she packed exactly. Her vision was blurred by tears as she grabbed the closest things that she could find, before she walked back out of the room with the backpack clutching towards her chest.
“Well, that was fast.” The manager grinned, as he looked up and pushed a pencil her way. “You will write down exactly what I will tell you. Give me your phone!”
Trance like, Sumi reached in her pocket and passed her phone towards the man. Before she realized it Eun-woo had put the phone into his own pocket, pushing a tiny piece of paper her direction. Sumi wrote down every word he was telling her. She didn’t even realize what she was writing. Everything happened automatically, as if she was not even there.
When she was done, she grabbed the backpack that she put down next to her and slowly started walking backwards towards the door. With each step she was taking backwards, the manager was taking one step forward.
“I will make you to stay in touch with you, so you don’t start any mission on your own.” He snared. “You will pay me a monthly fee. The fee is an insurance for me – you know – to keep you and your child safe. I will keep your phone and turn it off. And now, GO!”
The last word he yelled out of nowhere, making the smaller girl flinch. Within seconds she had turned around and grabbed her shows, before she ran down the stairs as is someone was chasing her. She didn’t know how long or where she was running that night. All her joy and hope were wiped off. Disappeared. She was on her own now.

„Hey, I love you.“ The girl whispered, giving another small kiss to the man’s head as he just hummed before he turned around under the blanked. The girl chuckled slightly before she made her way out of the room that was still darkened by the thick curtains. Carefully, she tiptoes over the trace of carelessly thrown off cloths on the floor that lead from the door towards the bed.
Sumi smiled, as the memories of the previous night entered her mind. Who would have thought that she was ever going to find herself in a situation like this, next in the bed of a man that loved her like no one else did? Certainly not her.
When Sumi moved to Korea a couple of years ago, she was just a young woman that recently graduated from the from college and took the head over heel design to move across the ocean, with only one dream in her mind: She wanted to become a professional chorographer. Of course, Korea being famous for its successful idol groups with extraordinary dance moves and a world full of fame and glamour, she had to take her chances, right?
Well, taking a chance was certainly the motivating when she sent her application video to the most famous Korean management and recording studios, also known as BigHit Music Entertainment. The application was more out of fun, since the open position for as a choreographer for Koreas most successful Idol group was exclusively directed towards male applicants. However, when the email reached her that her application choreography was outstanding along with a few others and they wanted her for a live dance session, she needed to pinch herself to make sure that this wasn’t a dream.
Now, more than 2 years later, she could not image a single day without combining her passion for dancing and living her dream as a profession choreographer for the music and artist group BTS.
As she slipped out of the door and into the living room, the sun had already risen above the city of Seoul, dipping the skyline into a fog of red and orange. Living in one of the richest neighborhoods in Seoul, the view from the top floor of the high building over the city was stunning during those times of the day.
“You are up early today. Are you going to the studio?” A voice ripped her out of her thoughts, as she turned her head towards the boy sitting at the kitchen counter. “Are you feeling better in your stomach? The last weeks have been rough on you.”
“Good morning, Namjoon.” She replied quietly, stopping for a second in her tracks. “Ehm – yes. I feel a lot better. Thanks for asking. I am on my way to the dance studio before we start later. I wanted to warm up and practice the new dance moves. I hope you are excited.”
The dark-haired boy just groaned, as she added the last part with a wink towards him. She knew that Namjoon needed his sweet time warming up with new choreographies. But given that the dance for the upcoming music video was due in just a couple of weeks, Sumi had raised the intensity of the practicing hours over the last days.
“Can we not stick with the old –“ He started, but Sumi was faster.
Before the boy could complain more, Sumi passed by with an enthusiastic “See you in the studio!” towards the entrance of the loft apartment. She bent tied up her shoes and before she left out of the door, she leaned back.
“I am just kidding. You will love it. I promise you.” She said. “I will see you guys later in the studio. I really have to go!”
And with that, she was out of the door
The fresh air of the early morning felt nice in her face when she left the tall building. Before going to the studio though, she had made a small deviation. The cold wind was a nice change to the enormous body heat and sweat she had delt with in the last weeks, apart from the nausea. Knowing her body well, she knew immediately that something was off the first time the threw up in the morning.
Sumi was never sick. The excuse with the flue was the first thing that came up in her mind around five weeks ago, when the boys started asking questions. Immediately after, she had made an appointment at the doctor to confirm her assumptions, before she wanted to break the news to her boyfriend. Now, she had it black on white in her hands, the ultrasound pictures of the little pile of cells that was currently growing in her belly.
The girl smiled, as her right hand was laying on her stomach. Never would she have thought that her life would change 180 degrees after moving to Korea. First the once in a life time job, then the love of her life and now a baby.
Oh right, you probably wonder who this boyfriend is that was named so many times above.
Well, being the lead choreographer for the boy group BTS, Sumi had gotten closer and closer with the boys. While in a professional manner all of them were forming great team, outside of work it turned out they were getting along quite well. Sumi had found herself being drawn towards the group of young men that were not only respecting her for the job she was doing, but also welcoming her in a country that was not her home.
However, there was one boy in particular who she had found herself drawn towards in a different way.
Jeon Jungkook. The connection was instant between the two young adults. Just after a couple of months, everyone around them could see that the two young adults were head over heels into each other. What started with a shy smile quickly became more, and currently Jungkook and her had worked out a great balance between work and private life, which was not always easy since her boyfriend was worldwide popstar. During the training hours, Jungkook and Sumi kept it as professional as possible. She was the choreographer and he was the popstar. No kissing, no cuddling, no nick name calling. During their free time, however, the two young adults enjoyed their relationship to the fullest, along with their friends.
Sumi knew that Jungkook was a family guy. They had talked about their future plans before, and even though it was not in the plan to have their first child at the young age of 22, Sumi knew that Jungkook would be over the top with that news. He had to. After all, it took two people to make a baby.
Of course, she knew that struggles were going come their way sooner or later with Jungkook being in the spotlight. But Sumi had no doubts that they were getting through any obstacle in their way, together as a couple and with the support of their friends and family.
She smiled again, as she made her way through the slowly filling streets of Seoul towards the big music studio, not knowing what else the day would bring for her.
“Oh my god, I am done for today.” The oldest guy breathed out heavily as he kept laying on the ground, the sweat running down his forehead.
Sumi chuckled. The session had been hard, but overall, she was happy with the progress that the boys had made so far.
“Okay guys.” She clapped her hands together and turned around to face the group of men. “You did great today. I see the improvement that all of you have made. If we keep up like this, you all will be ready for the shoot sooner than we thought.”
Clapping and cheering rang through the studio, as the boys clapped their hands in joy. Practicing with seven boys in their mid-twenties was not always easy. Especially close to video shoots or live performances, the emotions were running high more often than Sumi would like to admit.
“You were on fire today too, Sumi.” Jimin smiled at her, as he kneeled down to take a sip of his water bottle. “Even though you are more out of breath than us.”
Sumi laughed in response.
“Thanks, Jim.” She replied. “I am still recovering, you know. But, I am extra happy today, and that keeps me motivated.”
Of course, the boys didn’t understand the context of that reference. At least not yet. As she packed up her stuff together, she noticed that the boys were not making a move to leave the dance studio.
“Are you guys not coming home?” She asked Jungkook, who was just approaching her. When he was close enough, he was wrapping one arm around her waist.
“We have another appointment with the vocal coach.” The tall boy stated and leaned down to kiss the top of her head.
“Oh okay, will I still see you tonight then?” Sumi looked up at him, knowing that usually they would go out and grab dinner together with their vocal coach. “I kind of have a surprise for you.”
Jungkook cocked his eyebrows up and grinned at her mischievously.
“Another one?” He joked as he hugged her shoulders from behind. The next part he said noticeably lower. “I still need to recover from the surprise from last night.”
Well, Jungkook like more often than not to not stick to the deal that they made for their work space. Instantly, Sumi felt her face turning red. She knew exactly what he was referring to.
“Jeon Jungkook.” She whispered yelled, as she turned around to slap his chest slightly. The boy only kept laughing. “We agreed to not joke like this around here.”
Jungkook just kept laughing. Shaking her head at her boyfriend, Sumi gave him one last peak on the lips, before making her way out of the music studio, her face still showing a hint of red.
“Hey!” She heard Jungkook’s deep voice from behind. “I know we agreed on that. But I want to tell you: I love you. I will see you home, Sumi.”
The girl smiled at him.
“I will be waiting for you.” She replied, as she made her way out of the building. Little did she know, this was going to be the last words they would have said to each other for a long time.

Ehm....ja...
Well, what should I say...I am back. Yay!
It took me, believe it or not, almost three years to finish the next chapter of my baby here. Probably you wonder what happened and why the hell it took me to long and what happened in-between. That's easy to answer: Life happened.
So many things have happened in the last years. I started and finished my university degree, I started working and the best thing, I met the love of my life.
Of course, there was suddenly only a little time for me to sit down and spend hours after hours of continuing writing my story. I felt drained, I felt uncreative and I kind out my motivation.
But that's in the past. I am back and I am sparkling with a million ideas for new stories. I am more hyped than ever about it and I hope so are you! If you still want to accompany me on my journey with the boys and parallel universes, feel free to like this chapter and subscribe!
I will write this chapter as kind of a summary to recall what has happened in the story. I will not post new chapters regularly, but I promise I will post them. Also the story is coming kind of coming to an end with only Yoongi missing. However, the next stories (which will be a bit more dramatic than this one) are in the pipeline, and I am hyped to infinity.
I will post chapter 22 soon. It is in my final drafts, promised!
Love you all, M.

[chapter 20 ||| chapter 22]
It had been 4 weeks since the court process and since Namjoon had been taken to the shelter. During that time, a lot of things had changed in all of their lives. The grey wolf, for example, had gone through a major inner and outer change.
His shoulder and back were not hanging low anymore. Now, he was walking around tall and proud. The fur on his ears and tail was now shining and sparkling a beautiful shade of grey and his face was no longer marked by the dark circles under his eyes, but instead two beautiful dimples were now forming on his cheeks every time he smiled, and Namjoon had been smiling a lot lately. Especially, when Hope and the boys were around him.
Several time a week, the boys had literally begged Hope to visit the tall boy in the shelter and of course, she could have never been able to resist when the boys had been looking at her with their big, brown doe eyes. Hope had often watched from the outside how the boys interacted with Namjoon. She had never understood why the boys had been affected to the Wolf immediately, but it was clear for everyone to watch that all of them belonged together in some way.
Around the girl, Namjoon was still a little bit shyer than around the boys. He would often blush or smile in embarrassment, especially because he could be really clumsy sometimes. Hope, one the other hand, had found it adorable ever time.
A smile played on the girl’s lips when she remembered a moment, where she had visited Namjoon alone a few days ago. Namjoon had suggested that the both of them could talk outside on the terrace and while he had been rambling about something, none of them had seen that the big glass window was still closed. It came like it had to, and Namjoon walked straight against the window. There had been a loud bang and then silence, before Hope had started laughing, along with Namjoon, who’s cheeks had been burning in a bright, red shade.
But the reason she had been visiting Namjoon alone was rather serious than funny. Because it was clear to see that Namjoon belonged into the boys’ and her family, Hope had applied for adoption papers for the grey Wolf, which had been a lot harden than the other times she had been at the authority. Even though Namjoon had been cleared form all his charges, there was still a note in his file that forced him to take an psychological exam before he could be adopted again.
However, the grey Wolf had been going through everything without complaining once. He had answered every question that he had been asked, taken the medical test and even passed the stress test, where they had been trying to trigger him in stressing situation. Hope had been with him all the time.
In the end, even though Hope had wanted to punch someone for those humiliating tests, Namjoon passed everything and that how the girl found herself waling along the corridor of the shelter, holding Namjoon’s adoption papers proudly in front of her chest. When she reached the end of the hallway, she careful knocked on the door.
“Namjoon?” She pushed the door open and carefully peaked her head inside the room, where she already spotted the tall boy sitting on his bed. “Good morning.”
The boy was sitting patiently on his freshly made bed when she entered. He had packed all the clothes the boys had given him form time to time in his small backpack, leaving his wardrobe empty, as well as the rest of his small room.
“Hope.” He happily stated when her small frame walked through the door. “You – you really came.”
“Of course, I came.” Hope stopped in her tracks when she heard the tone that was swinging in his words. “We agreed that I would come and get you today, remember? Look, I just signed your adoption papers.”
Namjoon’s eyes were wide when she showed him the adoption papers – his adoption papers. The room stayed silence for another few minutes.
“Are you ready to come home?” She eventually asked into the silence, before she laid her smaller hands on his that was resting on the edge of the bed, smiling encouraging at the boy. “The boys are already waiting for us.”
Hope knew how excited the other boys had been over the last few days. Together, they had planned out for days how they would be welcoming Namjoon once he was home and from what Hope had seen, she knew it was going to be something very special for all of them.
“Home.” Namjoon suddenly mumbled to himself, looking up at Hope, who had already stood up and taken his small backpack. “Do you really want me to live with you? What if this was a wrong decision?”
Hope’s heart broke when she saw the sadness in his eyes. The last thing she wanted was for him to think that he was a burden to anyone.
“Namjoon – “ She whispered, before she bent down in front of him. “ – I know it sound scary for you to suddenly move in with people you have barely known for a few weeks, but please, never have any doubts that you are not wanted with us. We – We love you, and we want you to live a life you deserve. So, as long as you want, you are more than welcome to live with us. You belong with us now.”
While speaking, she squeezed the taller boy’s hands, causing a small smile on his lips.
“Are you ready?” Hope asked again, as she stood up.
Namjoon nodded, standing up from the bed as well and before the girl could turn around to leave the room, the Wolf had already pulled her into a tight hug. Surprised, Hope gasped slightly, but eventually, she smile and hugged the taller boy back.
“Thank you, for everything.” Namjoon almost whispered, as he let go of her.
“Anytime.” Hope answered, before she took his hand. “Now come on, the boys are probably wondering where we are.”

The whole car ride, Namjoon bounced his legs up and down. Though Hope had insured him that he was absolutely wanted, there was still that voice in the back of his head, that voice that was reminding him all the time what he had been through.
He shook his head. No. He did not want to think about his past anymore. He had promised himself to let go of that chapter of his life when Hope had told him that she wanted to adopt him. He had seen the way Jin, Jungkook, Hobi, Jimin and Taehyung were living and he wanted that, too. All his life, he had wished for nothing more than to have a family that cared for each other and now, there was that opportunity for him, so he had promised himself to not mess this up. He wanted to start his new life without any old doubts and thoughts.
“We are here.” Hope happily stated, as she stopped the car.
So sunken in his thoughts, Namjoon had not noticed that they were already at their apartment. Carefully, the Wolf pushed his car door open and stepped out, only to hear a slight knock through the air. He turned his head around to find the source of this strange noise.
“Look.” Hope suddenly smiled, as she pointed up the building. “Jiminie is already waiting for us.”
When Namjoon looked up towards the window, he indeed saw Jimin standing there. The white tiger was smiling widely, as he waved his hand happily at Namjoon and Hope. Immediately, the corners of Namjoon’s mouth raise and a warm feeling spread through his body. He already felt welcome and he wasn’t even in the apartment.
Together, him and Hope made their way upwards and Hope unlocked the door to her apartment. Namjoon felt his body relaxing when the familiar scent hit his nose. This definitely felt right.
“Hope! Namjoon!” Jimin moved away from the window bench and happily bounced towards the two arrives, before he threw himself into the girl’s arms.
“Are they home yet?” Namjoon cold suddenly hear Jungkook’s voice coming from down the hallway, before the rest of the boys appeared into the living room.
Namjoon was so overwhelmed when he was warmly greeted by each single boy with a tight hug. Over the last weeks, Hope and the boys had visited him in the shelter from time to time, always making sure that he was doing okay. During that time, Namjoon had really taken all of them into his heart.
In all the mess of greetings and welcomes that had Namjoon’s complete attention, he hadn’t noticed his surroundings. It was only when suddenly, Hobi put his hands over Namjoon’s eyes from behind, before he slightly pushed the taller boy forward.
“What – what are you doing?” Namjoon carefully asked, but kept walking until Hobi stopped.
“We have a surprise for you.” He heard Jin’s voice from his right side, along with several other clinging sounds.
With a beating heart, Namjoon waited for Hobi to lower his hands, before he carefully opened his eyes. He gasped, when he saw a big sign that had been hung up over the entrance to the kitchen, saying ‘Welcome Home, Namjoon’. On the set up table in the middle of the living room, there was standing a big cake, along with a small package that was wrapped in colourful gift paper.
Namjoon was speechless at this gesture. Hope had said that the boys were excited for him to move in, but he had never believed that it would be so important for them.
“I – I – “ He stuttered. “I don’t know what to say. I – No one has ever done something like that for me. I – “
“You haven’t even seen your present, yet.” Jungkook piped in, not letting the taller boy finish.
Before Namjoon could talk again, the youngest boy was already pushing him towards the table, gesturing for him to open up his gift. Carefully, Namjoon lifted the small package and removed the paper that was wrapped around it. Once again , his heart was beating fast in his chest. Never in his life had someone made him a gift.
“Wow.” He whispered, once the paper was removed completely.
In his hands, he was now holding a framed picture. In this picture, the boys were all sitting in a half circle on a blanket in the backyard of the shelter. Namjoon remembered that day. Jungkook had just told them a funny story, making all of them laugh.
“Awww.” Hope came up from Namjoon’s side, looking up at the other boys. “I took that picture of you when we had our picknick. That’s why you wanted me to buy the frame. That’s so cute of you.”
She walked up to Jungkook, who was standing the closest to her, before she got on her tippy toes and pressed a long kiss towards his cheeks and making him blush at the same time. Namjoon, on the other hand, was speechless again. He let his gaze wander over the picture once again, asking himself how his life had suddenly taken such a turn for good.
“Don’t you like it?” He was ripped out of his thoughts by Jimin, who had walked up next towards the taller boy.
“No!” Namjoon quickly replied. “I love it. I really – do love it. Thank you so much.”
The tall boy didn’t know what suddenly came over him, but he just pulled Jimin, who was standing the closest to him, into his arms, hugging him tightly. This time he knew it for sure, he had made the right decision.

Taehyung smiled happily when he watched his brother sleeping heavily on the other side of the bed. He loved seeing Jimin this happy and relaxed after all they have bee through. This day, where they had officially welcomed Namjoon into their home, had reminded him once again how lucky they were to be here.
One last time, he drove his hands over his brother’s hair, before he turned around and flicked the light off. The black tiger was just about to close his eyes, when suddenly, he heard the sound of their room door cracking open. Of course, he immediately smelled that Hope entered the room.
“Jimin, Tae?” She whispered into the darkness, her voice held a tone of shakiness.
“What happened?” Taehyung sat up in his bed, whispering back to not wake up his brother.
He saw the girl’s small frame making it’s way through the room and over towards the bed, before she hopped onto it and crawled closer towards him.
“I – I just – “ She mumbled a few words, before she took a deep breath. “There was a noise at my window, and Jungkook and Jin were already sleeping, and I didn’t want to make Namjoon uncomfortable in Hobi’s room, so I thought that – ehm – maybe I could – “
Taehyung knew what she wanted to ask. From the outside, he acted it cool, smirking slightly and opening up his blanket for her to crawl under it. From the inside, his heart was suddenly beating a lot faster than just a few minutes before.
He laid back down behind Hope, placing his arm over her shoulders, pulling her a little bit closer under the blanket. The tiger watched, as she freed one of her arms from under the blanket again, moving it over to Jimin and driving it over his peacefully resting face.
“Tae?” She whispered again into the darkness. “In the beginning, why did you doubt that you belong here?”
Taehyung was a little bit surprised by her question.
“I – ehm – “ He thought for another few seconds. “I think it was because I doubted myself. I was so torn between the bad experiences and the mistakes I made, that I didn’t see the opportunities that had been opened up in front of me. I wanted to see the bad sides in everything so badly, because I needed some kind of confirmation for myself. I just didn’t want to admit that I was wrong, you know?”
Hope just hummed in response, rubbing her cheek over his arm that he had wrapped around her from behind.
“But – you don’t have this doubts anymore, haven’t you?” She replied after a few seconds of silence, squeezing his hand a little bit tighter.
“No, there are no doubts left. This is where I belong.” The black tiger insured, nuzzling his nose into the girl’s hair. “Why did you ask this?”
“Namjoon – “ The girl sighed. “ – earlier in the shelter, he asked me if it was the right decision to take him in, and if he would really belong here. It just stuck in my head the whole day.”
Taehyung stayed silent. He knew that it would need much more time for Namjoon to finally settle in here and to realize that his life had just taken a major change.
“Give him more time.” He whispered into her ear. “He will never regret his choice. Just like none of us regret our choices.”

Hello to everyone out there! 👋🏻
I got a lot of messages lately, whether Sehnsucht has been put on hiatus or not:
NOOOOOOO!
In the last weeks, I tried so hard to push myself to keep writing or to find any free time, so that you don’t have to wait longer.
You have to know that many things in my life are changing in the moment. I just finished Highschool and university is about to start, I am moving into my very first apartment…all this takes a lot of time and nerves.
Of course, I want to put as much passion and energy into my writings as possible, so it doesn’t have to lose it’s quality. The last weeks, I couldn’t find this passion and energy, but I am back NOW 😌 I’m sure that in the next few weeks, I will find the time to update Sehnsucht again! Don’t be disappointed, if the next updates won’t be weekly. But I promise, that I will update!
To my followers in Germany, the Netherlands, France, Luxembourg or Belgium:
I pray for you and your families that you are safe and fine! I cried when I saw the pictures on TV, where houses and cars have been flooded away just like that 😞🥺😓I can’t imagine how it must feel to lose all your belongings within minutes. Many people lost their lives or their existence, and my heart breaks when I think about that. I really, really, really hope you are not affected by this catastrophe. Stay strong! My heart is with you❤️❤️❤️

Okay, 3 important things before the chapter starts.
I am not a lawyer, and I did not study American law. All laws or rights that are mentioned in this chapter are either made up or superficially researched. So please, do feel offended if I named something wrong. I also don’t know how exacts a court process works. This is only how I imagine it. Don’t come for me.
My next update will not be next Sunday, because my whole week is so planned out. I really can’t find the time to write the next chapter in one week. Please, hone me time until next week! Thank you!
Over 300 followers?! Are you crazy or what? I can’t really express how happy writing Sehnsucht makes me. Thank you, thank you, thank you 🙏🏼🥰

❤️❤️❤️
Stay healthy and safe

[chapter 19 ||| chapter 21]
“Alpha to Beta, are you in position?”
A male’s voice spoke into the tiny transmitting device on his wrist, before he sunk his arm down and grabbed the handle of his stun gun, carefully walking towards the tall stone wall in the widdle of the forest. With ever step, the picture of the camera strapped around his chest vibrated, making it hard to make something out in the dimmed light of the darker forest.
The microphone in the man’s helmet rustled, before another voice could be heard.
“In position.” The voice simply said. “The target is in sight. Shall I shoot?”
Slowly, the man kept on moving his way through the trees.
“No.” He had taken his hand away from the stun gun, lifting his wrist up towards his face. “I want to inspect him properly. If he is a rare breed, we could still make a lot of money with him.”
For a few more seconds, the sound of cracking leave and twigs filled the video tape. The man was still walking along the tall stone wall until the camera finally focused on the video’s main person.
“Look what we have got here.” The man said with a nasty voice. “The woman on the phone wasn’t lying. A Mexican grey wolf. You are still going to bring us a good salary.”
With his back towards the hard stone wall, Namjoon was looking scared at the man in front of him. His torso was only covered with a ripped shirt and a pair of baggy shorts. While his tail was tightly wrapped around his leg, his eyes moved between the man standing in front of him and the man coming out of the bush behind him, both with their stun guns pointed at the poor Wolf.
The man, as well as Namjoon, knew that he was trapped. There was no chance for him to take a run, because one of the two police officers could easily tease him with their stun guns. He was trapped.
With sudden and big steps, the first man made his way up towards Namjoon, forcing him to walk backwards and not paying attention to the second man, who was now coming up from behind the Wolf Hybrid. Before Namjoon had any chance to react, the second man had already wrapped a strapped around his torso, tying his arms up tightly.
Then hell broke loose. Namjoon, of course, tried to defend himself. With his tall body, he tried to wiggle out of the second man’s gip, causing them both to fall on the ground. For the following minutes, only shouts, causes and grunts cold be heard, while the picture of the camera was just a wild flickering of different colours.
“You stupid animal.” The first man cursed when Namjoon accidently backed out with his hand and scratched over his face. The man stumbled back, before he stopped in his tracks, the camera clearly focused on Namjoon and the second man again. “I swear to god, I am going to make you regret this.”
With the remote in her hands, Hope stopped the video when the first man was about to make his stun gun ready to tease Namjoon down. Then, the court room stayed silence.
It had been three days since Namjoon had stayed with Hope and the boys for that one night. This one night since her boys had become so addicted to Namjoon that they had literally begged her for three days to see him again. It amazed her how fast those boys could get fond of each other. After all, they had met Namjoon for the very first time that day.
But also Namjoon had seemed to enjoy that day. Not only had he seemed to feel extremely comfortable, but after that night, he had started being way more often towards the girl. He had smiled more often, he had asked about the boys and how they were doing, and most important, he had finally told her about the day he had been locked away.
Of course, that day had been a long time ago, which meant that they had nothing to proof Namjoon’s testimony. They had tried everything to find a proof for the police officers’ misbehave, until Namjoon had remembered the probably most important detail about that day.
Sometimes, police officers had to wear cameras strapped around their bodies, so dangerous or complicated situations can be analysed more practised later. After those two men had brought Namjoon to the police station, the first man never stated that he had been wearing a camera. The reason was obvious.
Hope had phoned around for hours, filling in amounts of contracts so she could get insights into that video. The man’s lawyer of course had tried to prevent that, but since those videos have been invented for such situations, she got a full view on the video tape that obviously was the proof they had needed.
Immediately, Hope had applied for that tape as an official evidence in front of the judge. This process had taken an enormous amount of time. Hope even had feared that she would not get access to that video by the time the process would already have begun, but luckily, they had get the approval just in time.
All along, Namjoon had been more than cooperative. Hope knew what it ha taken him to work up this horrible past of his, but he had not complained once. He had watched the video with the girl together several times, he had filled in contracts, he had taken psychological reports and he had not put up a fight when they had trapped him in hand and ankle cuffs.
Unfortunately, it was a court instruction that every Hybrid needed to wear those cuffs for safety reasons. It was nothing Hope could have prevented.
That was where Hope currently found herself, standing in the middle of the deathly silent court room, wearing her long, black robe and waiting for the right moment to continue her plea. But before she started talking again, she took one last look at the wolf Hybrid in the middle of the room.
Namjoon looked horrible. Even though he would never show it, this judicial process bothered him a lot. The dark circles under his eyes gave away that he probably had not got much sleep the previous night, as well as his hair that stuck out to all directions and cracked up lips. His body hung low in the chair he was strapped in, almost as if he would slide down the chair every second.
In that moment, Hope wished for nothing more than to run over to him and pull him in her arms tightly, telling him that everything would turn out alright. But she couldn’t. She needed to stay professional.
Her gaze slide once again over the crowd full of reporters and journalists in the back of the room. They all tried to squeeze themselves as far in the front as possible, holding their cameras and flash lights on Namjoon all the time. Hope sighed in relief that she had not brought the other boys with her. She did absolutely not want to think about what would have happened if the five of them had been in that crowd all by themselves.
“As you may see, your Honor.” Hope had gathered together all her effort, as she started her plea. “This video is an official proffer that Mr. Clay has violate not one, but in total 4 basic laws. My client has been humiliated by this improper removal. With absolutely no enlightenment about his rights, he had been cuffed up and gagged in the back of a van. This is an enormous violation against the protocol. My client also only showed self-defence in that situation. He had been attack from ambush, which is not only humiliation but also a violation against the right bodily integrity.
Your Honor, I know that there is no specific arrangement for Hybrids in that point, but there is only one protocol of how police officers are allowed to arrest someone, and that says that it must be guaranteed for anybody, human or Hybrid, that the arrest is proceed according to regulation, which has obviously been violated in this case.”
For the last part, Hope had turned away from the police officer and his lawyer, who was currently shaking his head, and looked at the judge. The judge for this case was an older woman, maybe in her 50’s. In the first moment, she might looked intimidating, but Laura had already told that she actually was a ration person to talk to.
“For the obvious reasons – “ Hope continued when the judge was looking up from her writings again. “Mr. Clay considered bringing my client to an auction for selfish purposes. If I may quote from the video tape: “Look what we have got here. […] A Mexican grey wolf. You are still going to bring us a good salary.” Hybrid auctions are highly illegal and humiliating. In addition, Mr. Clay has not only broken his oath and lied in the court room when he told a wrong story, but he also tried to purposely hide an official evidence that can obviously relieve my client. This is suppression of evidences and also illegal.”
Once again, Hope paused for a moment to let her gaze drive through the room was silent again, only the clicking noises of cameras could be heard.
When she looked over towards Mr. Clay, she was shocked over his state. The man was not wearing his self-confident smile anymore. He rather looked pale and small in his chair, almost as if he was just realizing that there actually were evidenced against him. His lawyer meanwhile was still shaking his head while writing furiously into his note book.
On the other side, Namjoon was starring wide eyed at the mall girl in the black robe. Beside fear, his eyes were now holding a small, tiny sparkle of hope.
“If I may sum up my main points, Your Honor.” Hope started talking again, waiting for the judge to nod. “Mr. Clay humiliated my client in the worst ways. He violated my client’s right of bodily integrity, his right of an proper arrest, Mr. Clay abused his position of power as a police officer by using his stun gun for no reason, he was willing to participate my client in an auction and he denied the court important evidences for his selfish purposes. Your Honor, in my opinion, my client is absolutely guiltless. His action were caused by nothing but fear and force. I advocate immediate impunity for my client and – ”
“I object! This is ridicules!” Mr. Clay’s lawyer had stood up from his bench, interrupting Hope in her plea. “Your Honor, I admit that we made a mistake by withholding my client’s video tape, but this – this animal has been strolling around without an official registration after all. He was illegal in that forest. He should be –“
“No, my client was not illegal there.” Hope gathered all her braveness to stand up for Namjoon. After all, she was countering with bulletproof facts. “We analysed all local authorities. My client was officially registered to one authority, but no one ever bothered looking after him. He got lost in the forest when he was abandoned there. Your Honor, that no one noticed my client’s absence only shows those people don’t really care.”
Of course, this was a lame excuse why Namjoon had never went to an authority. But who could proof it wrong?
“Tzz.” The lawyer laughed dryly. “This is ridicules. No one gets lost in a forest for over 15 years. Your Honor, who would be so stupid and believes the story of this would.be lawyer who – “
“This is enough, Mr. Thomas!” The judge suddenly said with her prominent voice, hitting her hammer on the table loudly and making every one shut up immediately. “Do you actually have the slightest proof for your accuses, Mr. Thomas? You are throwing with accuses, but you have absolutely no evidence for any of those. It’s hard for me to follow our line of argumentation when all of them are just speculations, while Ms. Carson shows off one fact after another. I need time to think about all of your arguments. I will retire now.”
With that, the judge hit her hammer onto the table one more time, before she stood up from her chair and went out of the room, leaving back a happy Hope and a pretty dumb folded lawyer.
Hope looked one last time at the man, before she lifted her hand to throw her long hair confidently over her shoulder, turned around and walked away towards Namjoon. The poor Wolf was still hanging in his chair with his shoulder, ears and tail low.
“Hey.” Hope almost whispered when she stood in front of the glass cade Namjoon was held in. Slowly, she pressed her flat hand against the glass. “We will get through it.”
Namjoon tiredly nodded, before he lifted his hand as much as it was possible with his cuffs on, laying his much larger hand right against her hand on the glass.
Over an hour passed before the court room’s door finally opened again and the judge entered. She met eyes with Hope and Mr. Clay’s lawyer without giving away what her final verdict. She just kept looking sternly, taking a seat and opening her note book, before clearing her throat.
“Please, take your seats everyone. I am going to announce the final verdict now.” She calmly said, waiting for everyone to become silent. “The jury and I have deliberated and came to a result. The defendant, Kim Namjoon, was charged with illegal residence and resistance to state power. We have heard both sides, and we have seen evidences that helped us finding the right verdict. In the name of the people of the United States of America, I announce the following verdict: The accused is not guilty of the act of illegal residence and/or resistance to state power. The mistake and misbehave obviously came from the defender, Jack Clay, and cannot be transferred to the behaviour of Kim Namjoon. With my power, I absolve Mister Kim Namjoon of all charges. The verdict has been pronounced and is immediate. I declare this trail to be ended.”
She hit her hammer onto the table three times, before gathering up her things and stood up to leave the court room. But before she finally left, she stopped a few inches away from the other lawyer.
“Ah, Mr. Thomas.” She dryly said. “To answer your question, I am so stupid and believe the story of his quite talented young lady. I think she could give you some good devices how to lead a proper defence. Have a good day.”
She winked at Hope one last time, before she left the lawyer dumb folded again. Amazed and confused at the same time, Hope slowly turned around to face Namjoon. The wolf was just lead out of the glass cage when Hope made her way up towards him, speeding up with every step, before she stopped in front of the tall boy.
“I – “ She started, not really knowing what to say. Luckily for her, Namjoon had already covered her.
“Thank you.” He opened his arms and pulled her into his chest without hesitation, making Hope gasp from this sudden affection, but she didn’t mind. “I can’t tell how much I thank you.”
She wrapped her arms around his much larger torso as well, whispering a quiet ‘you’re welcome’. The two of them stayed like this for another few minutes, before Namjoon was lead out of the room.

“Hyung.” Jungkook mumbled towards Taehyung, who was pressing his nose against the window. “How do you like that melody?”
The Bunny placed eh guitar on his thigh and started playing a soft melody while singing the lines he had already written down.
“What do you think?” He asked again when he had finished his song, looking expectingly at his older brother.
“Hm, what?” Tae snapped out of his stare, before he turned around, eyebrows cocking up in confusion.
Jungkook just sighed and mumbled a nothing under his breath, laying the guitar on the other side of the sofa and petting his knees. Tae hesitated for a moment but eventually, he pressed himself off the window bench and walked over to the younger one, before cuddling up to the Bunny.
“You know what they will do to Namjoon if Hope can’t defend him.” Tae suddenly mumbled, pressing himself closer towards the younger boy.
“I know.” Jungkook replied. “But this won’t happen. You heard what she said. She found that video that could relieve him – that will relieve him. Don’t worry Tae, everything is going to be okay.”
The two boys continued their cuddling on the sofa, just enjoying their time alone while the other one’s were occupied cleaning their rooms.
Eventually, Hope returned after another 30 minutes of waiting. By know The boys knew exactly the rhythm of her steps as they halled thought the hallway or the sound of her keys when she fiddled them out of her purse.
Excitingly, Jungkook yelled for the other boys to out of their rooms, before the front door was already opening and a smiling Hope entering the apartment. Jungkook started smiling immediately when he saw her happy face. This could only mean that everything in the court room had been going alright.
“Hope!” He yelled, as he was already pulling her into a thigh hug. “We missed you so much today.”
“I missed you guys, too.” She whispered back into the taller boy’s fluffy hair, before she let go of his torso and closed the door behind her back.
The bunny looked watched confused, as Hope placed her purse on the floor and pulled the other boys into tight hugs. Actually, he had hoped for Namjoon to trail after the girl, but he didn’t. From one to the other second, his excitement had gone.
“Hope.” He nudged her arm slightly. “Where – where is Namjoon? Did you not win the process?”
“Yeah, Hope.” Hobi had sunk his ears low like the rest of the boys, looking wide eyed at the girl. “You said that video could save him, didn’t you?”
Hope began to smile when she saw her boys looking at her with their big eyes. She slightly nudged Jungkook’s arms and gestured for the boys to follow her to the sofa. When they all had taken their seats, Hope began to tell her story.
“We got him trough.” She said and started smiling widely, making the boys cheer at the same time. “Everything went so right for us. Even the judge was on our side!”
A giant stone fell from Jungkook’s shoulders when he herd her words. Hope had told them what could have happened if they would not have won today. In that one night, the Bunny had taken Namjoon to his heart so fast, it had been heart-breaking for him to let him go the next day.
He had hope so much that after that process, Namjoon could have stayed longer with Jungkook and his family than one night. Maybe a few weeks or even forever, the youngest would not have cared. He had just wanted to give the tall boy a safe and warm home after all the mess he had went through.
“But – but where is Namjoon now?” Jungkook asked a little bit disappointed, still hoping that the wolf would come through the door any second.
“They brought him to a shelter where he can rest now.” Hope looked over at Jungkook, her smile suddenly dropped when she saw his low hanging ears. “Why are you so sad, Kookie? You don’t need to worry about Namjoon, he will be safe there, I promise.”
Of course, Jungkook trusted the small girl when she said him that Namjoon was safe now but still, it that feeling of sadness kept clinging to his heart.
Jin on the other side of the sofa had also, like the rest of the boys, enjoyed the time with Namjoon, and Jungkook knew his brother, he was just as sad as him.
“We – ehm – “ Jin scratched his neck, before he looked up at the other boys, knowing that they had the same thoughts in mind. “We actually thought that you would bring Namjoon home with you.”
For a moment, Hope kept looking at the oldest boy, obviously confused by his admission.
“Oh, Jin.” She said, taking his hand in her smaller ones and looking at the other boys. “I am so sorry, but I have not adopted Namjoon. He – there was no chance for me to just take him home with me. That would have been illegal. But I am sure that he is fine – “
“ – and if he is not fine.” Jimin piped in from next to the girl, wrapping his arms and tail around his torso. “He has no friends where he is now. What if he is alone, or if his bed is not comfortable, or what if he doesn’t like the food there.”
Jimin’s lips had started trembling slightly, causing Taehyung to pull the smaller tiger into his embrace, rubbing his hand over his brother’s back.
“I am so sorry.” Hope said again. “I didn’t know that you guys miss him so much. Believe me, I miss him too. Maybe we could give him a visit tomorrow, what do you think about that? We could make sure that everything is alright, and we can spend some more time with him.”
Though Jungkook was not 100% satisfied with this solution, he put on a smile. He knew that Hope would never put a Hybrid into a dangerous situation.
With no other option left, he joined the other boys who were currently taggling the girl down with hugs and snuggles.

The next morning came to quickly for Jin. He felt like it was just a few seconds ago that he had closed his eyes to fell into a heavy sleep. When his mind was fully functioning, he blinked a few times and stretched his ears, tail and arms out.
“Ouch.” He suddenly heard when his hand collided with something hard.
When Jin looked at the source of that noise, he saw a tiredly Hobi waking up from hi sleep, looking just as confused as Jin a few minutes ago. It was just now that Jin realized that they all were still in the living room, laying on the big mattress in front of the TV.
Hobi was laying on his stomach at the top, while Hope had her had laid on the small of his back where she used his soft tail as a cushion. Jin meanwhile was laying on the girl’s right side and Jimin on her left side. The smaller tiger had curled himself up next to Hope, with his legs tangled with hers. Behind his beck, Tae had wrapped his arms around his brother and was snuggling up from behind him.
But in the funniest position was Jungkook sleeping. The youngest boy was laying on the other end of the mattress all by himself. He had turned onto his back, while his legs, arms and ears were spread out to all directions, making him look like a dead starfish.
Jin smiled when he looked at all of them. Though they all weren’t related by blood, those people were his family. He had developed a strong love for all of them, a love as brother, a love as friends and a lover love, of course.
His thoughts drove back to the evening him and Hope had kissed for the first time.
The younger boys had been hanging around in one of their room’s, while Jin had been preparing their dinner as usual. He had just wanted to tune around to get the spices from the shelf of the other side, when suddenly, the small girl had been standing in front of him.
She had smirked at his cute reaction, but had offered – well, more demanded – helping him with dinner. Usually, he would have never allowed her to fuss around the kitchen, but since the boys had not allowed her to enter Jungkook’s and Jin’s room, she had nothing else to do.
Together, they had cut the vegetables and other ingredients until they had been ready to be put into the oven. With his large gloves, Jin had bent down and placed the baking dish in the middle of the oven and closed the door. He watched the food though the small glassy window, when Hope had suddenly kneeled down next to him.
It had been movie-like. Both of the had been kneeling next to each, turning their heads at the same time, so their nosed had just been inches apart.
Jin didn’t remember whether he or Hope had leant in first, but he remembered it as one of the best feelings in his live. The kiss had been short, but her lips had felt so soft and warms against his. If he could, he would never let this feeling go again. When they had pulled away from each other, it had not been awkward at all. Instead of an uncomfortable silenced, they had rather been started giggling like teenagers at the same time, making this memory unforgettable and beautiful.
“Hyung, what time is it?” A sleepy voice mad him snap back to reality.
Hobi had pushed himself up from his position, making the other ones waking up because of his movements.
“It’s 10 in the morning, Hobi.” Jin replied, as Hobi just groaned and sunk his head back onto the mattress, before it snapped back up.
“10 in the morning?!” He almost yelled, waking the others full up. “We are running late. We wanted to surprise Namjoon with a picknick breakfast. We need to hurry!”
In less than 30 minutes, which was very, very fast for 5 people and one bathroom to get ready, they all sat in the van off their way to the shelter Namjoon was currently living in.
In the previous night, they all had sat together and thought about what to do with Namjoon, because it had turned out that neither Hope, nor the rest of the boys wanted to let him go like this. It had been Tae who had suggested doing a breakfast together with the Wolf hybrid.
The plan was to get to know Namjoon more, before further missions would be made. The poor wolf had been through a lot of things in his life, he needed a stable home with people he could get along well.
“We are here.” Hope announced, after she had parked the car, taking off her sunglasses and stepping out of the van, followed by the other boys.
Jin suddenly felt nervous. In his eyes, Namjoon would just fit perfectly into their crazy family, but what if Namjoon would be other opinion? What if Namjoon had decided that after all the mess, he would be better on his own, like Jin himself had been thinking in the past?
Jin flinched slightly, when a warm and smaller hand made its way into his larger one. Jimin had probably seen the Leopard’s concerned expression, giving him a warm and encouraging smile, before they all entered the shelter.
Stuck together, the boys stood in the middle of the white hallway, waiting for Hope to get Namjoon from his room. While waiting, felt a shiver running down his spine, making his hand squeeze tighter around Jimin’s hand.
“I don’t like it here.” Jungkook whispered, as he wrapped his own arms around his torso. “It’s such a sad place. I am glad we don’t have to live here.”
Jin and the other boys nodded in agreement. This place didn’t look dangerous or run down at all, but it didn’t look inviting either. The walls were painted in a neutral white colour, with absolutely no decoration. No pictures, no plants, no love.
“Poor Namjoon.” Jimin whined, pressing himself closer at Jin’s side. “I hope he has an comfortable bed at least.”
They waited another 10 minutes, before suddenly the sound of squeaking stair steps rang through the long hallway. Then, Namjoon stepped around the corner.
“Namjoon!” Jimin smiled widely at the Wolf.
The smaller tiger stopped politely on front of Namjoon, obviously waiting for his permission to go further. Namjoon hesitated at first, but he eventually nodded slightly, letting Jimin hug him tightly.
“Come on, guys.” Hope said, pointing her fingers towards a large window door. “They have a huge garden here. We can sit down there.”
Hope was right. Behind the large shelter building was a large garden with a few trees and benches standing around. They walked to the very end of the garden, that was fenced by a high bush row.
“So Namjoon.” Jin smiled up at the younger boy when they all had sat down on the large blanket. “How have you been?”
Namjoon looked much better than the last time Jin had seen him. His skin was no longer looking pale and faded, but held more glow and freshness. There also was no hints of large circles under his eyes anymore. Now, his deep brown eyes were no longer filled with emptiness, they were rather sparkling with life now.
“I – I have been good.” He admitted, taking a small bite of toast. “Actually, last night was the first night in years that I actually had a good sleep. Thank you again, for everything you have done for me.”
He bowed his head slightly, cheeks blushing from his words.
Jin knew how much a night full of sleep could mean. He clearly remembered the first night in Hope’s apartment. It was strange at first, but it was the best thing that had happened in that night.
“Namjoon.” Jimin moved his spot closer to Namjoon, nudging his arm slightly. “How do you like it here? Are you comfortable here? Do you have friends here?”
It was no secret that Jimin was caring for the people he liked. The smaller tiger had been worried about Namjoon none stop for the past hours.
“I – the people here are nice, I guess. “ Namjoon said a little bit confused. His voice didn’t sound sad, but somehow, there was a tiny hind of something else. “But they are pretty much for themselves, so I don’t really have anyone to talk to. My room is nice. I have a bed and a wardrobe for myself.”
“Do you have any clothes to put into the wardrobe?” Hobi asked innocently, while took a big sip of his orange juice.
Namjoon’s excited expression dropped for a moment, before a red shade covered his cheeks and he shook his head.
“Don’t worry, Namjoon.” Jungkook answered with his cheeks full of toast. “We will bring you some of our clothes the next time we see you.”
Namjoon wanted to say something, but a clear shake of Hope’s head made him close his mouth again, knowing it would be useless to argue against the boys. Instead, he lowed his head to take another bite of his breakfast, a soft smile on his lips.
The breakfast picknick went along well for everyone. Namjoon finally had the chance to open up to everyone without any pressure and worries.

[chapter 18 ||| chapter 20]
„Okay guys, are we sure we wanna do this today?” Jin asked nervously, as he walked up and down his and Jungkook’s room.
All the boys had met up here, waiting for Hope and Namjoon to finally come home. After three long days of phoning her bosses and her bosses’ bosses nonstop, she had finally got the permission to keep Namjoon for exactly 24 hours, before he would get brought back. In the morning, she had left the boys to pick up Namjoon form the company, leaving 5 nervous and excited Hybrids back.
“Of course, we are sure.” Jungkook mumbled, not looking up from his note book. “She was on the phone for three days to get him here. We can’t pull back now.”
The other boys nodded in agreement, before they started another conversation about something Jungkook couldn’t care in that moment. It was not that he wasn’t excited to help Namjoon, but in his mind, he had been busy for a few days.
His mental absence had not been unnoticed by the other boys and Hope. They had come up to him, asking if he was okay or if he needed to talk. But Jungkook was more than okay, indeed, he was having the time of his life living with his friends and Hope. He wanted to give her something back, and since he had no money to buy something for the girl, he had chosen his very own way of thanking her.
“What are you eve doing there, Jungkook?” Jimin asked, receiving no answer from the Bunny. “Jungkook!”
“Hm, what?” The youngest boy snapped out of his thoughts when he hear Jimin literally calling his name.
Confused, he looked around his smirking friends.
“What are you writing in your book all day long?” This time it was Tae who was speaking, as he stood up from the bed and walked over towards his younger friend to take a look into his note book. To his disappointment, Jungkook quickly shut the book close before Tae could take a closer look.
“I am writing something for Hope.” The bunny mumbled, tapping his pencil against his lips. “Hey, Jin, so you know another word for happiness?”
Jungkook’s older brother was now looking confused at the other boys in the room, before he scratched the back of his head.
“What about joy?” He suggested, earning a shaking head from Jungkook.
“No.” He just said. “Too childish.”
“Excitement?”
“Too simple.”
“Glee?”
“Not what I am looking for.”
“What about euphoria?” Jimin piped in from the other side of the room, throwing a hand full nuts into his mouth.
“Euphoria.” Jungkook mumbled to himself, opening his note book again. “You are the cause of my Euphoria.”
He skimmed over the line he had already written down over and over again, saying them in his head a hundred times, before a large smile started playing on his lips.
“That’s it.” He said out lout. “Euphoria is the perfect word.”
He bent over his note book again and filled all the gaps with this one word until the first parts of his text were completed. He then laid hi pencil down and turned around on his char to face his Hyungs with a large smile.
“I didn’t want to tell you, but I have been writing on a song for Hope the last few days.” He proudly said, holding up his note book. “Here, let me show you the first verses.
You are the sunlight that rose again in my life
A reincarnation of my childhood dreams
I don’t know what these emotions are
Am I still dreaming?
ꕀ
There is a green oasis in the desert
A priori deep inside of me
I’m so happy, I can’t breath
Everything is getting blurry.
ꕀ
I can hear the ocean from far away
Across the dream, past the woods
I’m following this clarity
Take my hands now
You are the cause of my Euphoria
Yeah, well – I still need to complete the other verses and the melody, but I already have some ideas.”
Shyly, the youngest boy scratched his neck when he saw the wide eyes of his brothers looking at him. Normally, he didn’t mind being the centre of attention among his little family, but that line he had written down meant a lot to him. That was why his Hyungs reactions were so important for him in that moment.
“Wow, Jungkook. Did you create those line yourself?” Jin was the first one to say something, making his smaller brother nod. “I think she will love it.”
The other boys nodded in agreement, making Jungkook feel proud of himself that they were liking his idea. In the past, he had often doubt his skills and talents, but he had learnt that people around him were serious when they would make him compliments. It had taken some time, but now, he knew that he had truly found his happiness.

Jimin pressed his nose closer against the glass window, hoping that Hope’s car would already show up in front of the house. Hope had said that she would be back by 12 o’clock, which meant that she already needed to be back. Impatiently, the white tiger tapped his right foot on the ground.
“She will be back soon.” His brother came up from behind and laid his arms around the smaller boy’s shoulders, pulling him closer to his chest.
“But it’s already 5 minutes after 12.” Jimin mumbled, leaning back against his taller brother. “They should be here by now. Maybe something – there they are!”
The smaller tiger wiggled out of his brother’s arms when he saw the white car coming up the road and parking in front of their apartment. He wildly knocked his hand against the window when the driver door opened and Hope stepped out. She looked up towards the window and happily waved back at Jimin.
“Okay, guys.” Like always, Jin came out of his room when he hear Jimin’s yells, gathering all boys together in the middle of the living room. “I want you to behave today. We want to help Namjoon and Hope, which means that we are going to show our best and loveliest sides to make him feel comfortable and welcome in our home.”
Jimin nodded his head excitingly. He was determined to bring back Namjoon’s trust in human or at least, this one human from that he knew would make the wolf’s life better. Living with Hope had brought back a meaning in his own life and seeing her giving all he passion for other Hybrids made him wanting to support her however he could.
The 5 boys gave each other a last, big group hug, before the front door was already opening.
“Hey, boys.” The girl’s familiar scent filled the apartment, along with her big smile and sparkling eyes hen she entered the apartment.
“Hope!” Jungkook was the first one to storm forward and embrace her with his much taller body.
One by one, each boy was hugging the smaller girl, welcoming her home and almost forgetting about the special guest who she had brought home. While Tae and Hobi were still busy with the girl, Jimin was the first one to notice Namjoon in the doorway.
Shyly but curious, Jimin smiled at the tall wolf standing there, waving his hand at him to make him feel welcome. Namjoon just watched the tiger’s hand moving through the air, before he wrapped his grey, fluffy tail around his left leg, eyes already moving between them many different people around the room.
“Guys, I want you to meet Namjoon. He will be staying with us for tonight.” Hope had wriggled out of Hobi warm welcome hug and was now standing beside the tall boy again, introducing the Hybrids proudly with each other. “Namjoon, those are my boys I told you about. This is Jin, he is the oldest among us, but he can also be really childish sometimes. This is Jungkook, he is the youngest and the first one who lived here with me. This is Hobi, he is our newest addition and always smiling. Here we have Taehyung, he is not as grumpy as he sometimes looks. He is a real softie. Last but not least, this is Jimin. I think he was the most excited to have you staying here for the night.”
One by one, Hope introduced the boys with Namjoon, who politely bowed his head at every boy. Jimin immediately was amazed by the tall boy’s appearance. He didn’t look like someone he would mess with, with his large hands and his broad shoulders. On the top of his fluffy brown hair were two, grey ears twitching around in all directions, while his deep brown eyes were studying each boy’s features.
This moment made Jimin especially sad. Like the rest of the boys, Namjoon looked like a normal boy who was just looking for a place to fit in. Jimin whished that he could just meet the wolf Hybrid as a new friend and addition to their unusual family, not as a judge case.
It was just when Hope closed the front door that Jimin noticed something odd around Namjoon’s ankle. It was a small, black box that was blinking every few seconds.
“What is this thing?” The white tiger innocently asked, pointing his finger down.
“It’s a tracking device, Jimin.” Hope replied, as she place Namjoon’s black bag on the dining table. “It’s just a safety for my boss to know that Namjoon is still with us. Unfortunately, we can’t take it off. I am sorry Namjoon.”
The wolf just shrugged his shoulders, eyes shifting back to the ground and ears hanging low. Jimin felt incredibly sorry for that tall guy. When him and Tae were younger, they had often worn leashes, tags or ankle cuffs. He knew what impact such a small piece of metal could have on someone’s soul.
“How about I quickly go out and buy something to eat for us later, and you guys show Namjoon the apartment and his room so he can settle in?” Hope happily clapped her hands together, looking between Namjoon the other boys.
Jimin quickly nodded. The first time Hope had let them alone, he had been scared to break something or to so something wrong but by now, this fear had been gone. It always made his feel proud and independent that Hope trusted them to stay alone in the apartment, even though for only a few hours.
“My – my room?” Namjoon’s eyes went wide, as he looked at the smaller girl next to him.
“Yes.” She simply smiled at him, taking her backpack and swinging it over her shoulder. “Hobi is so nice and leaves his bed for you, so you will have a room to yourself. He will be sleeping with me in my bed tonight, right?”
Since she was standing the closest to Hobi, she lovely drove her hand over his dark hair, while the fox nodded happily. He had willingly suggested to leave his room for the wolf Hybrid so he could get some privacy.
“You don’t need to leave your bed.” Namjoon looked directly at Hobi. “I can sleep on the ground or something.”
“No way you are sleeping on the floor.” Hope laughed. “We have enough space that everyone can have a bed, so everyone will sleep in a bed.”
Namjoon was about to open his mouth again, but Hope was quicker. She shushed him before he could start talking again and went from boy to boy to say goodbye. When she reached Jimin, the boy shut his arms tightly around her slim shoulders, pulling her closer until his nose touched her the ski of her neck.
“You will come back, right?” The white tiger whispered into her ear, making the girl giggle.
“Of course, Jiminie.” She whispered back. “I will always come back to you. Be nice to each other.”
She stood on her tiptoes to give him a short kiss to the tip of his lips, before she grabbed her keys and waved one last time, leaving the room in silence.

Everything was crashing down on Namjoon all at once. Never in his live had he thought about the chance to see he outer world again, but here he was, standing in the middle of his lawyer’s living room.
Three days ago, when Hope had told him that she wanted him to stay with her and her Hybrids for one night, he had thought that she was joking with him. But then, she had started moving hell and heaven until she finally had been allowed to take him away for one night.
However, he still hadn’t figured out why she would take him in so sudden. Maybe she felt pity for him and his pathetic life, or maybe she wanted to show him what a life he could have had, if only he had not been so stupid to attack any human.
It would be a lie to say that he had not been thinking about running away once the chance would be there but unfortunately, they had strapped a location tracker onto his leg this morning, making it impossible for him to either remove it, or hide somewhere. For the split of a second, he even had thought about Hope and the consequence she would get if he was able to escape.
Somehow, a feeling of disappointment rose inside him. Would he really consider to abuse the trust of the only person that made him feel like he was worthing something in this world. After all, Hope had been nothing but nice to him. It would be wrong to betray her and her Hybrids like that. This was not what he wanted to end up like.
The first prominent thing that had hit him was that amount of different scents that were waving through the air when Hope and him had entered the apartment. With his sensitive nose, he had already smelled those scents the first time he had met Hope, but never had they been so clear and intensive.
Somehow, it made him calm down, knowing that there were 5 other Hybrids around. Especially when their scents were mixed with each other all over their clothes and furniture, telling him that they were not only close with each other but also with the small girl.
In addition, there was this warm and welcoming feeling that immediately had surrounded him when he had entered. There were no cold, white walls or furniture. Everything, the floor, the sofa, the kitchen – it looked so inviting to him. Not to talk about the boys’ rooms that all looked individual but still like home. Namjoon could never imagined what it must feel like to wake up in such a surrounding every day.
“Do you like the apartment, Namjoon?” Jimin had taken the taller boy’s hand and was now looking up to him with wide eyes, waiting excitingly for his answer.
The small tiger had definitely walked his way straight into Namjoon’s heart. From the first moment the smaller boy had waved to him until he had taken the wolf’s hand to guid him through the apartment, Jimin had taken all the nervosity off Namjoon’s shoulder, making him feel wanted and welcome.
“I – ehm – I like it very much.” The taller boy said shyly, before a slight shade of red spread over his cheeks. “But are you sure I should have a room all to myself? I mean, I would be okay with sleeping on the floor if – “
“This is not necessary.” Jin took his hands away from Jungkook’s shoulders and took a step forward. “None of us had to sleep on the floor when Hope took us in. So, there is no chance that we let you sleep on the floor.”
Namjoon didn’t quite know what to response. He definitely was not used to people being this nice to him. Even the other Hybrids in the living complex of the company were intimidated by him, leaving him all by himself at the dining table or in the library.
“Do you wanna sit down and talk until Hope is back?” The oldest boy asked, as he pointed his fingers towards the big sofa in the living room. “The sofa is really comfortable.”
As soon as the words had left Jin’s mouth, the three younger boys made a fast sprint forwards, before they jumped one after one onto the sofa, landing on each other, laughing together and messing around.
For the split of a second, the corners of Namjoon’s mouth rose. It was nice to see how familiar and comfortable those different kinds of Hybrids were getting along with each other. For as long as he could remember, he had probably never seen a Hybrid being so happy like they were.
“Come on, Namjoon.” The tall boy hadn’t even noticed that he had gotten lost in his thoughts, before Hobi call his name. The Fox had followed the younger boys and was now petting the empty spot next to him. “You can sit down next to me.”
Carefully, Namjoon made his way over to the sofa. He didn’t want to impose. After all, they had already offered him a whole room to himself, so he tried to make himself as small as possible at the end of the soft sofa.
“Did you imagine Hope’s home like that?” Taehyung had wrapped his arms around Jungkook’s torso and was now looking with wide eyes at the older boy.
“No, I definitely had a different imagine in mind.” Namjoon admitted, making Hobi next to him giggle. “When she told me that she would be living with 5 other people, I though her apartment must be giant. But – but I was surprised in a positive way when we arrived. It looks so cosy and warm here. You guys are pretty lucky to have a home like this.”
It was the truth. Namjoon was amazed by everything in this apartment. Especially the small but prominent highlights that were placed in all rooms when they had the apartment tour. Whether it was the small make up table in Hope’s room that had been looking so organized, or those many sticky notes on the fridge that held those sweet words for the boys when Hope would leave for work in the mornings, or all those pictures of the boys on the small table under the TV.
“Yes, we are really lucky.” Jungkook smiled slightly. “Hope took all of us in without taking anything in return. She even tries to make things like going to the grocery store or going to the park possible for us, so we don’t have to stay in the apartment all day long.”
“You have been in a grocery store?” Namjoon asked with wide eyes. “Like inside in – without being kicked out?”
Namjoon had never seen a grocery store from the inside. In the past, he had always collected the left overs from people that had gone hiking in the forest.
“Yes, we have.” Jin was now chuckling at the Wolf’s confusedness. “I am with her most of the times, because I am cooking for us most of the times. We are hiding my tail in the leg of my trousers and my ears are then hidden by a beanie. No one ever came up to us and kicked us out.”
The wolf Hybrid was amazed by that simple but effective solution. Why had he never thought about hiding his tail and ears?
“So, Hope r – really is like this in private?” Namjoon carefully asked, almost not daring to look up. “I mean, this nice and helpful?”
Immediately, all the boys around Namjoon were agreeing to that question. They told him stories of what Hope had done for all of them in the past and of how they actually had met. Ever telling and ever story was completing the picture of that small girl more and more, fitting perfectly to the appearance she had had in the company.
The six boys spent hours after hours like that, sitting on the sofa and talking about everything that came into their minds. It was nothing unusual for the five Hybrids that were living here but for Namjoon, it was something he had not been doing for the past couple of years. He enjoyed that normal conversations about simple things. No questions, no pressure.
If only this could also be his life.
Before he had the chance to think about what his life could have looked, he hear the clicking of the front door.
“Hey, boys.” Hope happily greeted them, carrying 4 large boxes in her arms. “I hope you are hungry. I bought pizza for us.”
She walked to the table and placed the pizza boxes there, before she went over to the sofa and greeted every boy with a small kiss. The boys stood up from the couch and walked towards the dining table, leaving the confused wolf back.
“You can join us, you know?” The deep voice of Taehyung made Namjoon look up at the younger boy’s outstretched hand. “We have more than enough space for 7 people.”
Without realizing, Namjoon enjoyed every moment of this evening, and with every second he spent with those people, he gained more and more trust into them – especially in the girl. So when night had arrived, and he was laying in his bed, he had made his decision.

Hope watched amused how Hobi sat at the small make up table of her room, wiping his face with the white fabric, before tossing it away.
The fox had watched carefully how she had removed her make up a few minutes ago. She had tried to tell him that it was not necessary for him to us a cloth for his face since he was not wearing any make up, but he had literally begged her to let him try.
“Are you content with the result, Hobi?” She smiled at him through the mirror, as he watched himself closely.
His face held a stern impression, as he moved it from side to side, driving his fingers over his skin, before a large smile built on his lips.
“Yes, I am.” He happily turned around and waddled over to the bed where the girl was already waiting for him.
He wrapped himself up in the fluffy blanket and rolled over so he could face Hope on the other side of the bed.
“Are you comfortable?” Hope lifted her hand up towards his head and started scratching over the base of Hobi’s ear, making him purr and nod as he closed his eyes. “Did you enjoy the evening with Namjoon?”
When she had said goodnight to the other boys, she had already been bombarded with the excited stories.
“I enjoyed the evening very much.” Hobi mumbled sleepily, before he rubbed his eyes and looked up at the girl. “He is nice. I really hope that you can help him.”
“Me too.” The girl whispered back.
She had absolutely no clue whether it had been a good idea to bring the wolf here, or whether it had made everything worse, but when she had gone and said goodnight to him, it was the first time she had actually seen him smile. Not just a forced smile he had often given her in the past but a real, content smile.
The court date was getting closer and closer with only 3 days left. If she wanted to help him, he would need to open up to her now, or else, there was nothing she could do for him.
As she glanced over to Hobi, she found him curled up in the blanket with a slight smile on his face, while his ears and hair was spread over the cushion. Carefully, she drover her hand over the soft curls one last time, before she gave him a kiss on the top of his head and turned off the lights, praying that everything would turn out alright for Namjoon.

[chapter 17 ||| chapter 19]
Today had been an eventful day. Hope had finally been able to get Jimin’s and Taehyung’s adoption papers, so both of them could live with her officially. In that occasion, thy all had gathered together at the kitchen table in the evening, each boy with a glass of orange juice and Hope with a glass of sparkling wine.
“Okay, guys. I wanna say something.” Hope announced, as she stood up from her chair. “As you know, today we officially welcome Taehyung and Jimin in our family and I want to use this occasion to say a few words. You guys turned my life upside down ever since I met you, but I never regretted anything. I want to thank you, Jin and Jungkook, that you trusted me enough to stay and that you gave Taehyung and Jimin a chance to live here even though it was hard for you. I also want to thank Jimin and Taehyung for giving us the chance to show you that we are good people. And of course Hobi, thank you for always being so positive and funny. I – I really do love you guys.”
Jungkook was the first one who was standing up from his chair and walked towards the girl. He wrapped his arms around her smaller body, before he pressed a short kiss onto her lips. Time has already passed since their first kiss in the park and by now, it was no longer a big deal for them to share some small kisses in front of the others from time to time.
The small shade of red on her cheeks increased when Jimin was the next one to hug her tightly, before he pressed a longer kiss onto her cheek. The white tiger was still more carefully when it came to kissing in front of the others, but Hope didn’t mind at all. She gave him a small kiss back and let go of him.
Jin also came to give her a hug. The older boy was still hesitating to kiss her but instead, he wrapped his long tail tightly around both of their bodies.
“Ehm.” Hope pulled away from the leopard when Taehyung cleared his throat. “I also want to say something.”
Jin rubbed his head one last time over the girl’s neck, before he walked back towards his chair. All 5 people were now expectingly at the black tiger, who had stood up from his chair. The room fell silence for a few seconds, while he was looking for the right words to start.
“I – I don’t really know how to start.” He admitted, scratching his neck with his left hand. “I – I want to apologize to all of you. I gave all of you a hard time, even though you all were nothing but nice to me and my brother. Jungkook and Jin, I thank you for letting us stay with you even though I have not always been nice to you, and Jimin, I am sorry that I made you choose between me and the others. You were just trying to make new friends and be nice, but I gave you feelings of guilty all the times for doing so. I am sorry for that.”
Before Taehyung even had the chance to finish properly, Jimin had already stood up threw himself into his brother’s arms. Hope knew what hard times Jimin had went through. She had found him crying a few times, desperate and helpless because he had not known what to do anymore.
The girl watched as Jungkook stood up and walked over to the two tigers, before he wrapped his arms around the smaller one. He his nose against the white tiger’s fluffy hair and whispered something into it.
It had not been unnoticed by Hope how close all the boys were, despite all the troubles they had at first. Especially Jimin, who had wrapped everyone around his fingers with his sweet personality.
Hope loved to watched the three younger ones joking around together and with each other. She loved to watch Jin and Jimin cooking together in the evenings, and she loved to watch them interacting with Hobi as if they had known him for years.
“Hope.” The girl gasped when she felt Jin wrapping his arms around her from behind, before he placed his chin into her right shoulder. “You were snoozing out again.”
A shiver an down the girl’s spine when she felt the boy’s breath tickling her ear. She knew that by now, it was impossible to hide her redden cheeks every time one of the boys was hugging or kissing her. Even if you could, they would probably hear her heart beat with their extra senses. Hope sometimes had the feeling that they were enjoying those moments where she was struggling to hide her emotions.
Like a few days ago, when she had been sitting on the sofa, watching TV like usually. Hope had been laying between Taehyung’s legs with her back against his chest and her head laying on his shoulder. The black tiger had his tail wrapped around the both of them and his arms on her waist, before he had begun to rub his head against the sensitive skin of Hope’s neck after a while.
It had not felt uncomfortable at all. All the others boys had scented her before, so she was kind of used to it, but Taehyung also loved to tease. After some time, he had begun to bump not only his cheek but also his nose and lips against her skin. If that had not been enough, he had even let his teeth nibbing at her ear from time to time which had make the girl gasp sometimes. Taehyung had only chuckled, and also some of the other boys had seemed to enjoy that scene.
She sometimes wished that her body would not be some obvious, but deep down inside, those feelings were some of the most beautiful she had ever felt, and sometimes it made her wonder, if that was how love was supposed to feel like?

Namjoon laid wide awake in his bed this night. It was one of those days his mind keep racing and racing with thoughts, letting him no chance to find some sleep. A glance at the clock showed his that it was close to midnight, making him groan in frustration.
His room was only enlighten by the small lamp on his nightstand, and when he had looked over towards the clock, his eyes had also fell onto the small, square shaped object laying peacefully on the small desk. That girl – Hope – or rather her Hybrid had given him the small book.
Hope. A feeling he had not been feeling in a very long time. Since he could remember, he had been on his own out there, and at first, he didn’t mind at all. In his mind, there were several smaller pieces of memories when he was a child. Like all Hybrids, he had been bred and living in a laboratory a little bit outside if Seoul.
Being locked in a small cell, he had early been taught that in this world no one was truly caring for each other. Those scientist had only got him out when they had needed to make some new experiences with him. During those times, when Namjoon had felt nothing but pain and betraying, he had started distracting himself by taking in every small piece of information he could pick up and focus on that.
He had often read over those giant posters on the wall, showing off different anatomies of different kind of living beings. Quickly, he had figured out how a huma’s and Hybrid’s body was working, where every single bone was placed or where the different veins were running along. Somehow, he even had caught a glimpse on some Hybrid’s files that had been laying around on the desk that had been telling him for which purpose he had been there.
At first, it had hurt him that he only was a testing object for human to find out how sensitive his instincts were working during different circumstances, but then, that ever had been the only truth in his life. One day, he had accidentally overheard a conversation of two scientists talking about how the testing series would be stop soon and they would needed to get rid of all the participating Hybrids.
He had not known what that meant, but a few days later, he had been dragged out of his cell and brought to a large airplane. Those people had told him that they would fly to America to take place at an auction, but it had only been a large lie. They locket him up and drove into a small forest near the airport, and when night had been come, they had thrown him out of the car like he was just a pile of garbage, before driving away.
Still locket in the cage, the small and confused wolf had waited desperately, hoping that someone would come and pick him up from that cold place, but it had never happened. In the moment he had realized his situation, he had promised himself to never trust anyone again in this world. Luckily for him, he was smart and had been teaching himself enough to survive all by himself in the forest.
For several years, he had been able to hide until one day, he had been too careless while hunting. A hunter had spotted him and immediately had called the police to lock him up again.
Namjoon closed his eyes tightly when the memory of him being teased to the ground by a police officer. He had never meant to hurt anyone, but in that situation, he had not known what to do anymore. The emotions where running wild inside the now older wolf. It took him everything to keep himself under control right now and to not let the emotions take over his body.
Of course he was not stupid. He knew that after that incident there would be no chance for him to win his upcoming court date. Hybrids were absolutely not worthing anything to those creatures calling themselves human. They won’t ever let him win. They would lock him up again or even worse, they would put him to sleep for being dangerous. It was hopeless.
Hope. There was that name again. Laura had brought that small, blond haired girl up a few days ago. Another face that he had met, and another face that would be gone withing the following days. He knew it. He had seen it.
Laura had often brought some people with her in the past. Lawyers, psychologists, judges…but none of them had got him to talk. They all had given up on him without even trying, so why trusting that new girl now? He tried to convince himself that she was like anyone else, but something – a small little voice inside his head – was telling him that something about her was special.
Was it the tone of her voice that had caught his attention from the first moment she had been talking or rather the words she had been using? Or maybe her round, brown eyes that looked so innocent and trustworthy? Or the fact that she already had adopted 5 Hybrids that seemed to have a good life with her? Namjoon couldn’t tell at all.
Suddenly, he wondered how the small girl’s home must look like. Living with 5 other people, she must had a big apartment or even a house. But maybe all of her Hybrids had to live in one room or even in cadges. A shiver ran down his spine while thinking about this. She had not sounded like she would be cruel to them, but then, she was human. No one could tell what was really going on in her head.
He closed his eyes and thought about the past days instead and like the past minutes, his mind was occupied with thinking about that new girl. Somehow, Hope had convinced Laura to let him go outside for the first time in weeks. His heart had been beating so fast when he had felt the sun beams filling up his skin with warmth and energy. The white, clean room he had to spend his days in had been making him sick over the last weeks.
Hope had been with him all the times. She had not been talking much, but despite their lack of conversation it had never felt uncomfortable. In fact, Namjoon enjoyed those moments with, because it was the only time of the day he could escape his clean, white prison without anyone bombarding him with questions or even treatments.
He didn’t want to recognize it, but deep down inside he somehow had the feeling that his life was about to take a big turn. It was a feeling deep inside his guts that were suddenly telling him so. Whether it would turn out for good or bad he couldn’t tell yet.

Days after days went by since Hope had started working, and slowly, her boys and her had developed some kind of a routine to pass the day. But even thought her life had become a little bit harder and more stressful Hope had always made sure to not loose any time with her roommates. She would often try new recipes with Jin, or she would listen to different music with Jimin while talking about random things that came into their minds.
Even the relationship to Taehyung had become closer and closer. He now was like a peaceful house cat, always wanting to cuddle with someone which she thought was adorable. He was a good boy with good intentions, just like Hobi. The Fox had completely warmed up to all the boys and her by now, and he even had found his passion for dancing and music just like Jimin and Jungkook.
Speaking about the Bunny, Jungkook had been behaving all mystery again over the past days. Gladly not in a bad way, but he had often been in his room lately, stating that he had something important to do. He even refused to play video games with Tae a few times which was indeed pretty strange for him, because he usually would never miss a the chance to win against the black tiger.
When Hope had asked the boys about his latest behaviour, they all had just smiled, telling her that she would need to wait for the Bunny to show her himself.
“Movie night!” Hobi playfully yelled, as he let himself fall down onto the big mattress in the middle of the living room where Jungkook, Jimin and Tae were already waiting.
Since Hope was working eight hours a day, they all had agreed that one night of the week would be their joined movie night. On that occasion, they had placed a large mattress in front of the TV and had thrown all cushions they had found in the apartment onto that mattress.
The younger boys had already chooses the movie when Jin and Hope plopped onto the mattress with a large bowl of popcorn in their hands. As soon as the girl’s bum hit the soft fabric, the bowl suddenly was taken out of her hands by Jimin, and two strong arms were placing themselves around her upper body from behind.
Tae had pulled the smaller girl closer towards himself, before he nuzzled his nose into the sensitive skin of her neck, causing her to yelp slightly.
“Tae – “ She giggles when his hot breath tickled her skin.
Of course, the black Tiger didn’t stop. He just kept pulling her closer until it was almost impossible for her to escape his grip but not in an uncomfortable way. Hope always enjoed those gestures of physical affection that made her feel loved and home. Happily, Hope leant back against Tae’s chest, making him nuzzling his nose closer into her neck, spreading his scent over skin.
They stayed in that position for a little while longer, enjoying the movie that was playing on the big TV screen when suddenly Jimin started moving from the other side of the mattress. He pushed himself away from Jin’s arm and started crawling over the other boys towards his brother and the girl. Hope was just about to open her arms for the smaller tiger to cuddle up to her, but from one to the other second Taehyung suddenly shot up from his laying position. He pulled himself and the girl up, pulling his arms closer around her body and away from his brother, flashing him his sharp fangs and growling loudly.
Jimin on the other hand had jumped away with an enormous speed, before his ears shot up hight in the ear and his fangs showing up behind his lips as well.
“Taehyung!” Hope squealed in shock, as she watched Tae’s sharp fangs from the corner of her eyes, trying to break free from his strong grip. “What are you doing. Jimin, stop! Stop growling at each other!”
Slowly, she felt the arms that were squeezing her loosing up around her torso. Quickly, Hope turned around to look at Taehyung in shock. The black tiger had stopped growling and was now looking up at the girl again with innocent eyes. When she looked around her shoulder at Jimin, she saw him also looking around with big eyes again.
“I am sorry.” The younger tiger whispered, as he reached his arms out and pulled Hope into his embrace again, making her wrap her arms around his shoulders. Though she was not scared of Taehyung, having seen his sharp teeth reminded her of how powerful those boys were compared to her after all. “I – I didn’t mean to scare you. It was a primary instinct, I couldn’t control it. You just smelled so good…like me – I – Jimin – I am sorry.”
He gave one last kiss towards the girl’s forehead, before he carefully pushed her off of his lap and crawled over towards his brother, who was still pouting with his arms crossed above his chest. Hope watched in amusement, how Jimin tried to not gave in to his brother’s apologize, but when Taehyung pulled him into a tight hug and whispered something into his ear, Jimin quickly forgave him.
“That was scary.” Hope joked, as she placed her head on Jin’s chest, not wanting to interrupt the two tigers.
Jin just hummed in response, before he pushed his nose into the girl’s hair, while his younger brother laid his head into Hope’s lap.
“You sometimes make it difficult to share you between us, Hope.” The oldest boy suddenly mumbled into her hair. “Especially, when your body smells so pure. It’s literally calling for us to spread our scent over you.”
His words caused a heavy shade of red over Hope’s cheeks. She knew that the boys could always smell her scent, but she didn’t know that they really adored her scent that much.
“P – Pure?” She eventually stuttered.
“Hmmm.” Jungkook purred, as the girl’s hand drove over the base of his sensitive ears. “There is no other scent over you beside your own, because you never had a boyfriend before.”
“Y – You guys can smell that?” The girl’s voice was now holding a tone of confusedness and embarrassment, making Jungkook and Jin chuckle.
“When you are close to someone for a very long time, that person’s scent will cover your own scent, signalling for others that you are taken.” The youngest one continued. “Your scent isn’t covered by another one. Well, beside one of our scents since we are spending a lot of time together.”
Our of instinct, Hope wanted to lift the collar of her shirt to prove whether Jungkook was telling the truth or not. But to her disappointment, her nose was far from smelling a foreign scent on her body.
“Do I smell like all of you?” She innocently asked, before sinking her shirt that she was still holding in her hands.
“Depends on who you had physical contact with.” This time, it was Tae who spoke. “Right now, Jin’s scent would cover mine. The only way to have all our scents cover you would be to – well – mate with us.”
When he finished the sentence, he winked his eyebrows up two time, making the girl blush even more. Of course, she knew what he meant. Jimin had told her about mating and marking once they had talked.
Not wanting to extend that conversation, she turned her still blushing face away from the smirking black tiger and leant her head against Jin shoulder, who was also holding a small smirk on his lips.
Of course, she wasn’t stupid. She had noticed the way the boys had been talking and acting around her, noticed how they would use any chance to hug her tightly and rub their face against her neck, making her blush every time. Sometimes, she wondered, if this was how finding one’s mate was supposed to feel like. Especially, when she remembered the kisses she had already shared with Jimin and Jungkook and that made her heart race always again.
A movement in the corner of her eyes ripped her out of her thoughts. She blinked a few times, before she turner her head, watching Hobi shifting closer towards the trio. He fiddles with his finger for a few seconds, before he looked up at the girl with his deep brown eyes.
“Are you actually making any progress with that wolf in your company?” He shyly asked, laying his fluffy tail onto Jungkook’s upper body.
Hope sighed heavily. She would love to tell him that the were making big steps forward, but she couldn’t. Namjoon was still as closed as the first day they had met. The both of them would meet up almost every day, leaving the clean, white interrogation room and taking a long walk through the small park area. Every time in silence.
Normally, Hope would give him all time to open up all by himself, but unfortunately, his court day was getting closer and closer. Almost three weeks had past since she had met the tall boy, leaving only one week before she would defend him in front of the judge.
“To be honest, we are not making much progress.” She sadly said, sinking her gaze onto Jungkook’s floppy ears in her lap. “I mean, he seems to be much more comfortable around me by now, but his court day is coming up in only one week, and I still have nothing to defend him. I wish he would just open up to me.”
By now, all 5 boys were looking at the girl with sad eyes and hanging ears, while Hope was still crawling Jungkook’s fluffy hair, deeply absorbed in her thoughts again. She wanted to help Namjoon so badly. She tried to give him time and room, she tried to tell him stories about her childhood, hoping that he would tell her something about him too, but it had failed every time.
“What happens if he won’t talk to you.” Jimin whispered from the other side of the matrass.
“If he won’t tell me what exactly happened, I can’t proof that he is innocent.” She replied after a few seconds of silence. “I can’t proof that it wasn’t his fault he reacted this way, and then he is guilty. They will either lock him away forever, or if the judge thinks that he is too dangerous, they will – they will put him to – to s –“
She couldn’t finish her sentence and she didn’t need to. The boys knew what she wanted to say. When Hope had calmed down after a few minutes, she started talking again.
“But don’t worry.” She reached out her left hand to Hobi and her right hand to Jimin, squeezing their larger hands. “I won’t let this happen, okay? I will get him out there. Somehow.”
The room fell silence for another time this evening. The boys all knew what the wolf Hybrid was going though, because they all had went through the same. They also knew that Hope was serious when she said that she would do anything to help Namjoon, they really knew. But the were powerless. There was nothing they could do to help Hope or Namjoon.
“What if you would bring him here for once.” Jin suddenly suggested, making everyone’s head shot around.
“What?” Hope asked a little bit confused, pushing herself off his chest to look properly at the oldest boy.
“Well, he clearly lost his trust in human.” The Leopards continued. “But maybe he would talk to you, once he saw that there are still people who are fighting seriously for him.”
“He is right.” Hobi’s ears shot up highly, eyes sparkling with excitement. “We could show him how we are living here and that he can trust you.”
“We could show him our rooms – “
“ – and we could make him something delicious to eat – “
“ – or we listen to some music with him together – “
The boys were talking all at once now, bringing up all kinds of ideas to convince Namjoon to cooperate. It made the girl speechless and proud when she saw how eager the boys were to help the wolf Hybrid.
“You guys would really do that for him?”

Until I bleed out | BTS
↬summary : Hybrids always were discriminated against, the laws passing over years changed nothing, collars still needed to be seen on those innocent necks like some kind of label. Cruelty was something the hybrids faced on daily basis, sex trafficing or illegal fighting it still felt as if those humans treated everything like pets. Situation you however found yourself in, was kind of different - not worse not better but still so bad you did not know if the next day would be yours, and when the winter started coming with big steps it was only a matter of time when the freezing cold would eat you alive. Unless one silent night a little too loud striped tiger decides to break your calm nap with a clumsy package of long limbs after him who just could not leave your tired and scared self alone...

[chapter 16 ||| chapter 18]
Hobi watched in amazement how the girl’s hand was sliding over the piece of fabric back and forth, turning it upside down and back up, before laying it on the table and smoothing it.
“Look.” She said proudly, as she held up the once ripped shirt. “It’s like nothing has happened.”
Despite all the advantaged that came with being a Hybrid, like having extra sensitive senses, there were also more than enough disadvantages too. Especially, when he had never had such expensive clothes to know how to handle them the right way. He had tried to find the right way out for his arms and head but ended up with his head and arm in one hole, which obviously had been too much for the fabric.
At first, he had been scared to tell someone about this accident. Not just because he had felt embarrassed, but also because he had been scared to upset someone to whom the clothes belonged. Sadly, he was like an open book to read for everyone, so Jin had noticed pretty fast that something had been odd with the fox Hybrid. When Hobi had finally told him what happened, Jin began to laugh warmly, telling him that no one would be mad at him.
When Hope had come home from her work, Hobi had bundled up all his courage to tell her all by himself, hoping that she would react in the same way as Jin. Indeed, she had smirked a little bit when he had told her the story, but she quickly had offered him her help to fix the shirt. His old owner would have never reacted in such a kind way.
When he was younger, the man who owned the circus had bought him from the people who had bred him in their laboratories. He brought the small fox boy all the way over to America, just to lock him up in a cage there. But Hobi had never complained though. After all, the man had offered him a place to sleep and something to eat every day.
But of course, he had also been a curious child back then¸ wanting to explore his surroundings and borders. That had often brought him in troubles, leaving him more often locked up in his cage than he had planned. At some point, he had learnt that it was only him who brought himself in such position and from that day on, he had just kept following the rules like he was supposed to do.
Hope meanwhile had put a small, wooden box on the table that was filled with all kinds of needles, threads and other supplies one could need for sewing. He had not even needed to wait long, because as soon as the girl had been sitting, she had already been fixing the small rip in the shirt.
While she had been worked concentrated on the blue piece of fabric, Hobi had grabbed himself a small piece of fabric out of the box as well, trying to copy her movements. Obviously, he was not as talented as her.
“Wow.” He stunned, as he laid his own piece of work down and reached out for the shirt. “I can’t even see where the rip was. Where did you lean this, Hope?”
The girl smirked slightly, while she cleaned the table.
“I was a pretty wild child.” She told him, reaching up to put the sewing box up onto the shelf on the wall. “I always came home with a lack in my trousers. At some point, my mother was tired to fix all my clothes, so she taught me to fix them myself.”
Hobi head the sadness in her voice when she talked about her mom. Beside the picture of her on Jungkook’s favourite wall, Hobi had never seen Hope’s mother in person, so he guessed that she probably was missing her much.
“Your mom was a pretty good teacher then.” He smiled widely at the girl. “Maybe she could visit us some day, so you can show her how well you fixed my shirt.”
If it was possible, the girl’s expression dropped even more, while she clutched her hands onto the mug in front of her. Hobi immediately regretted what he just had said.
“I don’ think that she will be visiting us some day.” She said, as she sadly smiled at the confused boy. “My mom died a few years ago, you know?”
Hobi sunk his ears low when he heard her words. He had never had a mom or a dad, but he could imagine the pain the small girl was feeling right now.
“I am sorry.” He just whispered, not wanting to say anything else to make her sad.
“It’s okay.” Hobi watched, as the girl’s mouth suddenly pulled up. “You know, I like thinking about her. She was a wonderful and strong woman. When I was younger, I always wanted to be like her. She was kind and courteous to everyone, even to Hybrids. She taught me to respect every living, because all of them have a soul and feelings. I am sure she would have loved to meet you guys.”
Hobi could clearly imagine the woman Hope was describing him, because it fit perfectly on the description of Hope. He was glad that her mom had taught Hope all those things, because only she was the reason, he now had a safe place to stay.
“I would have loved to meet your mom. She sounds like a wonderful person.” He carefully spoke, as he reached over and grabbed the girl’s hand that was loosely laying on the table.
It was the very first time that Hobi had made such a big step and actually touched the human girl. Her smaller hand felt so warm and soft, almost fitting perfectly into his bigger hand. It also felt different from when he was touching Jin’s or Jungkook’s hand. He had never felt those little sparkles when touching one of the boys, but he liked it though. Hope gladly accepted this small way of physical affections, squeezing his hand back.

“Diner was so delicious, Jin.” Hope smiled at the older boy, before she put her plate into the sink and kissed the boy’s forehead. “Thank you for that.”
Jin stayed in the kitchen to do the dishes, while Hope walked back into the living room where the other boys were already waiting for her. They all had bombarded her with questions since she had been home again, and now they were waiting for their answers.
“Hope!” Jungkook’s ears were standing up high in the air, as he petted the spot next to him on the sofa, gesturing for her to sit down there.
As soon as her bum met with the soft fabric, the bunny had already laid his head down in her lap, while from the other side, Taehyung was now leaning his head onto her shoulder.
For the next hour, they asked her questions over questions about everything that had happened at work. They asked her about all the Hybrids she had met, about the people she would be working with and about thousands of other things that sometimes made her smirk, because sometimes they were like little kids.
When she told them about the wolf Hybrid, Namjoon, the room suddenly felt silence. All of the boys sitting around her knew fully how that poor boy felt and what he was going through.
“He must be so scared.” Jimin said, wrapping his tail around himself, as Jungkook wrapped his arm around the smaller one’s shoulder. “I wish we could help him somehow.”
The bunny kept Jimin in his arms for a little while longer, before he suddenly jumped up and ran down the hallway towards his room. Hope looked confused at Jin, who was also just shrugging his shoulders. After a few seconds, the slamming of the bunny’s bedroom door rang through the apartment, and Jungkook came running back into the living room.
“Here.” He stopped in front of Hope and held out one of his favourite Hobbit books towards her. “You can give him my favourite book. Maybe he will like it, too.”
“But, Jungkook.” Hope gasped at that sweet gesture of Jungkook, before she stood up and took the book out of his hand. “You love that Hobbit book.”
“Yeah, I do.” The bunny scratched his neck, as his cheeks turned red. “But I – I read it so many times that I can’t count them anymore. I just think that he has absolutely nothing and maybe he will feel more comfortable if he would have something he likes.”
Hope was absolutely touched by Jungkook’s gesture. She knew how much he loved that book and how sad he had been when he had almost given it away a few months ago. She had always known that he had a very big heart when it comes to other people he cared for.
“I will give it to him. Thank you, Kookie.” She whispered, as she stood on her tippy toes and hugged the taller boy tightly, before pressing him a big kiss on his cheek.
“Okay, guys.” Jin announced, looking at his watch just to realized that it was already late at night. He yawned and stretched his arms, tail and ears out at the same time, which looked pretty funny. “I will go to bed. I am pretty tired. Goodnight.”
He went around and gave Taehyung and Jimin a linger hug, Jungkook and Hope a kiss and Hobi a lovely pet on his head, before he went into his room. Next were Taehyung and Jungkook who wanted to play a few more video games in the tiger’s room, and also Hobi stated that he would go to bed, leaving only Jimin and the girl back.
The white tigers sat shyly at the edge of the couch, with his tail wrapped around his legs and a slight shade of red on his cheeks. He looked up at the girl for a second, before he carefully moved closer towards her on the sofa. When he was close enough, he carefully put his head on her shoulder and laid his tail in her lap for the very first time.
“Do you think you can help that wolf in your company.” Jimin carefully asked her, as she begin to stroke his fluffy tail.
“I hope I can.” She whispered back, leaning her head onto his. “But he needs to trust me in the first place, and this needs a little more time, you know?”
Jimin just hummed at her answer.
“I think he is lucky to have you as his lawyer now.” He suddenly smiled. “I know you will safe him, just like you saved us.”
Hope closed her eyes for a moment, thinking back at the time where she first met Jimin and Taehyung. Both tigers had definitely brought some changes into that family, but in a good way of course. Suddenly, she remembered the conversation from earlier, when Namjoon had asked her about their adoption.
“Jimin.” She mumbled into his thick hair. “There is something I want to ask you. You know, Taehyung and you have been living here for a few weeks now, and I think the both of you fit in in our crazy home pretty well. If you would be okay with it, I would like to adopt you and your brother.”
Immediately, Jimin’s head shot up from her shoulder. He looked with wide eyes at the girl, before he nodded wildly and threw himself onto the her, hugging her tightly and whispering ‘thank you’ a thousand times. This sudden movement caused both of them to fall over and fully onto the couch. When both young adults realized in which position, they were now in, with the girl on her back and Jimin over her, they both turned bright red.
“I am – “
“Sorry.”
They both stuttered at the same time, before they broke out in a laugher together. Hope looked up into Jimin’s eyes when she had calmed down again. From the first day, Hope had adored those beautiful, dark orbs that would form into halfmoons when he was laughing or smiling. Slowly, she brought her left hand up towards his thick hair, driving it towards the back of his head and back towards his cheek.
Her heart was pounding in her chest like crazy, when Jimin’s face came closer and closer, until their noses were touching each other and their lips just inches apart. They stayed like that for another few seconds, before the boy was the first to make the move forward.
The kiss was shy but full of emotions. They lips stayed still on each other, before Hope carefully started to move. After a few seconds, Jimin also began to press his lips on her stronger and braver, before, after a few minutes, they both ran out of breath and let go of each other.
Hope didn’t know if it was possible that her face was even redder now, but before she had the chance to say something stupid that could ruin the moment, Jimin pushed himself off the sofa and pulled her with him.
She gasped slightly from the sudden movement but giggled at the same time when Jimin pulled her close towards his chest in the middle of the living room. She leant her head against the white tiger’s chest, while Jimin wrapped his arms and tail around the smaller girl. The pair was now standing in the middle of the living room, rocking slightly from side to side, doing some twists and turns from time to time.
“When did you learn to dance?” Hope whispered into the comfortable silence.
“I watched a video on the YouTube today.” He whispered back, rubbing his nose against her hair. “One day, I want to take you out on a dance date, you know?”
Surprised by the tiger’s words, Hope lifted her head and looked into Jimin’s eyes. Never in her life had someone wated to take her out on a date, and the fact that Jimin was asking her out in his cute, innocent way, let her heart swell with pride a love.
“I would love to go on a dance date with you, Jimin.”

“Okay, I don’t know what you did or how you did it but somehow, you got Namjoon to talk to you – willingly?” Laura was walking next towards the smaller girl down the hallways of the company. Hope just nodded proudly, clutching the book Jungkook had given her for Namjoon tightly under her arm. “And now you want to give him – a hobbit book?”
She looked confused at the book and then back up at Hope.
“Yes, Jungkook thought it would be a nice gesture to give him that.” Hope simply replied. “I think Namjoon just needs time. He will talk to us at some point.”
Laura hummed in response, before she cocked her eyebrows up and began to smirk slightly.
“Is Jungkook your boyfriend?” She teased the smaller girl.
Hope’s face immediately went red. Though both of them had already kissed, they never decided on what their relationship would change after that. There were also the other boys that Hope had takin inside her heart.
“I – no.” She just smiled, her face still red. “He is my – Hybrid – at home. We – “
“You have a Hybrid at home?” Laura suddenly stopped walking, before she grabbed Hope’s shoulder and turned her around so she could face the taller girl.
“I even have 5 Hybrids home.” Hope almost didn’t dare to say it out loud, not knowing how to interpretate Laura’s facial expression.
“You have 5 Hybrids home?!” Laura’s voice was now loudly bouncing through the hallways, before she began to smile widely. “Girl, you are crazy, but I love it! I think you will achieve great things in that world, Hope.”
Hearing those words from someone who already had much more experiences than her made Hope proud. She wanted people to see that there was no need to be a superhero or to be powerful to change something. Everyone who had the will can change something, everywhere and every time.
Together, both girls took the same way as the previous day until they reached the interrogation rooms. Laura told her that she would wait outside, not wanting to inhibit the progress Hope had achieved the previous day.
Taking a last deep breath, Hope carefully knocked at the door, before she pushed it open and entered the door towards the interrogation room. Like the previous day, Namjoon was standing at the window with his back turned towards the door. He didn’t turn around when she entered the room, but Hope could clearly see his ears twitching into her direction for the split of a second.
“Good morning, Namjoon.” She calmy said, before making her way around the table. “How are you feeling this morning.”
The boy didn’t reply though. He just kept looking outside the window. It was one of those beautiful winter mornings in New York. The sun was just rising behind the skyline of the big city, flowing the streets with it’s warm and golden sun beams. The small park that had been created between the big building of the company and the smaller building where the clients were living was shining with all kind of golden colours.
When she looked at the boy’s profile, she could clearly see that he was looking at that scenario outside as well. But in difference to her, he was not looking like would be amazed. He was yearning for seeing the world outside and not just through a window.
Suddenly, Hope remembered the small gift that Jungkook had asked her to give to Namjoon. She carefully pulled the book from under her arm and placed it on the window sill, before pushing it into Namjoon’s direction. The tall boy noticed her gesture and looked confused from the small book upwards to the girl.
“The boys at home wanted me to give you this.” She told him. “It’s Jungkook’s favourite book, but he said that you can have it. Maybe if you are bored you can try and read it. It’s pretty good.”
Namjoon was now looking with wide eyes at the girl in front of him, as he wrapped his tail tightly around his right leg.
“You told your Hybrids about me?” He cocked an eyebrow up.
“Yes, I told them about you.” Hope carefully replied, no sure if he was okay with it or not. “I mean – I just told them that I was working with you from now on, nothing more. We are a family, you know? We tell each other everything.”
The wolf Hybrid sunk his ear down, before he whispered a small ‘thank you’ and turned his attention back towards the morning sun, sighing slightly. The room fell back into silence, as both young adults were looking out of the window again.
Hope noticed that Namjoon was still trying to process everything that had happened since the previous day, but she would give him all the time he needed, even if that meant that they would both spend the whole day with just looking out of the window.
“I sometimes whish that I just could walk out of this room like you do.” He suddenly stated after a few minutes of silence. “But I can’t. I need to stay here and wait for the day they lock me away.”
Like the previous day, Namjoon’s voice sounded tired and powerless, without any hint of emotions.
“We could go outside – “ She said back, but Namjoon was already shaking his head.
“No.” He cut her off in her mid-sentence. “People don’t trust me. They would never let me walk around just like that and if, I need to wear those stupid hand cuffs and foot locks.”
Before his could voice get louder, Namjoon closed his eyes and took a deep breath. His hands were holding onto the window sill tightly, as if he was trying really hard to not burst out. Hope was shocked by all those bad emotions he obviously carried inside himself.
She didn’t want to make him feel like she would pity him. That was not what he needed right now. He needed to realize that there were people on this world who truly wanted to help him, and that one of those people was already standing in front of him. Hope excused herself, before she quickly walked towards the door and peeked her head outside, gesturing for Laura come closer.
“Did you make any progress?!” She whispered-screamed, as she excitingly stepped closer.
Hope took a glance back at the boy, who was still looking outside the window. Maybe he was not looking into their direction, but Hope saw that he had his right ear turned towards the door.
“You can talk normally, Laura. There is no need to whisper.” Hope said in a normally volume, leaving a red shade on Laura’s face. “I wanted to ask you something. Is there a chance that Namjoon and I can take a walk across the site without him wearing any cuffs?”
Laura looked at the smaller girl in shock, before she snapped out of her state, shaking her head carefully.
“I am sorry.” She said. “But he showed aggressive behaviour. I wish I could change that, but it is not in my hands.”
Hope sighed and pinched the bridge of her nose. Namjoon would never open up while being locked in that small room.
“Can’t you call your boss, please?” She tried again. “It would be just for a little while.”
“Hope, I can’t just call him and – “
“Laura, please. I take the full responsibility.” The blonde girl was almost begging Laura by now.
The two girl kept staring at each other for another few seconds, before Laura gave in first and sighed heavily. She hesitantly took her phone out if her purse and dealt her boss’s number, giving Hope a playfully angry look, before she energetically discussed with him for a few minutes. Luckily for the blond haired girl, their boss was a nice man, so he allowed her and Namjoon to leave the building.
Of course, with his extra sensitive ear Namjoon had already heard what you had asked Laura. He hesitated at first, not moving when Hope held the door open for the both of them. His eyes flickered between the window and the open door, before he carefully made his way around the table, his tail still wrapped around his leg.
The walk through the company was silent, but Hope felt the tension falling from the taller boy’s shoulders, until they finally reached the door that lead them outside. The fresh air hit the girl’s face when she took the first step outside. Even though winter had already begun, the morning sun was warming the air up, making it comfortable to walk around.
When Hope turned her head to look at Namjoon, she saw him doing the same. He had closed his eyes, letting the sun warming his face up and taking deep breath of the clean air. Hope knew that it seemed like a simple thing to just take a walk outside, but she had learnt from all her boys that she had taken those simple things for granted for too long.
Nothing she had done or what she had ever possessed in her life was normal for all people around the world. Maybe she had been lucky so far, but also she needed to be thought that ever moment in life needed to be appreciated, because other people didn’t have the luck like she did.
That day, there were no other words spoken between Namjoon and the girl. Just the situation as its own was enough to make another development in their relationship towards each other. They were just able to enjoy the moment together. No pressure, no words, no worries.

No new chapter of 𝗦𝗲𝗵𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵𝘁 this week. I am so so sorry, but I really couldn’t find the time to write a new chapter. I want to do that properly and not under pressure. I hope you can understand.
My exams will be over next week, and then I definitely will be back with 𝗦𝗲𝗵𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗰𝗵𝘁 💪🏼😌 Until then, I hope you like to read this cute oneshot. I had it saved on my computer but never uploaded it.
I also got a lot of messages recently that people would love to leave a message more often (not just under my chapters) but are too scared to make mistakes. English is also not my native language, and I am a 100% sure that I also make a lot of mistakes while writing. But believe me, no one cares if you do a grammar mistakes or if miss a letter. It’s so important to always be brave and speak/write a foreign language, even if that means to make mistakes. That’s the only way to improve your skills. Your message will always be heard as long as you are brave enough and express yourself 💜 it’s no shame to do mistakes.
Enjoy reading and stay healthy

You watched as your husband, Namjoon, carefully slide his big hand over your baby bump, lifting his hand from time to time to push his half round glasses up the bridge of his nose , and resting them back onto you tummy. In his other hand, he was holding one of his favourite books, flickering the pages, while you were just checking your phone for new baby clothes.
You had never believed your friends how crazy you could get over some small baby clothes until you had become pregnant the first time. It was just so breath-taking to hold those tiny, little pieces of clothing in you much bigger hand, knowing that soon there would be a tiny human wearing them. But as excited as you were for your third baby to arrive, you also knew that from that moment your life would become even more stressful.
Just like the end of that stressful week that finally had ended for the both of you. Being pregnant with your third child sometimes made it hard for your body to give it’s full energy all day long, leaving you often exhausted and powerless. Especially, when there also were two other small toddlers running around the house and making a mess out of it.
You loved your both daughters endlessly. From the first moment you had held their tiny bodies in your arms, you had been falling in love every day again. But despite all aspects you loved about you two children, you sometimes wished that they would not have their father’s energy and urge to move. They could run around the apartment for hours, they could play hide and seek round after round after round, and they definitely could never get tired of braiding your hair or painting your nails all day long.
You couldn’t even blame them. After all, they were you a couple of years old. They were just trying to learn about the world around them, not understanding that your body was occupied with growing another living being.
In such moments, you were just more than relieved that you had your wonderful husband Namjoon by your side. Even though with his sometimes hectical idol life, he had always managed and made sure to support your whenever he could. He would go shopping for you when your feet had felt swollen and heavy, he would play with your two daughters in the living room when you had felt tired and exhausted, or he would just do simple things like giving you a nice message with his big hands whenever your back had hurt.
Totally absorbed in the thoughts about your husband, you didn’t noticed that you had been staring at him from the side all the time.
“See something you like, pretty girl.” He asked in his deep voice, before turning his head to look at you. His right hand never left your baby bump.
“Yes, that lamp over there at the drawer looks pretty nice.” You mumbled, leaning your elbow on the armrest of the sofa and placing your head on your hand, looking lovely at the boy in front of you.
Namjoon turned his head to look at the lamp behind him, before he looked back at you and began to chuckle slightly. Seeing his beautiful dimples and cute cringles left you no other choice but joining in into his laughers.
Most people said that those small moments with each other would get lost once you are married and once you have children, but your relationship had never been affected by that. You had always found way to take time for just the two of you, even if it only had been a meal you both created together.
“By the way, I have to tell you something.” He suddenly closed his book and looked excitingly in your way. “Do you remember that set of plates we found a few weeks ago, but they were already sold out when we wanted to order them? I stumbled over them again this morning, and they were available again. I hope you still want them, because I ordered them as soon as I saw that advertisement.”
You gasped in surprise. When the two of you had found out that you would expect another child, you had decided to finally muck out all that old stuff that you had kept from years ago. The kitchen was your current task to finish. You had found that new set of plates a few weeks ago and immediately, you had fallen in love with it, as well as Namjoon.
“Are you for sure?” You smiled at him, lifting your hands to give your husband a strong high five. “That’s freaking amazing. You are the best, yeobo (honey).”
Namjoon laughed again when you used the softened form of your expletive that you would also you use in front of your daughters. He carefully put his hand back on your swollen bump, leaning over to give you a kiss on the forehead, before turning his attention back towards his book.
The room fell in a comfortable silence again, as you laid your head on his shoulder and closed your eyes. It made you proud that your husband was so ambitious and caring about making yourselves a real home. Most people would believe that with his job, he would be more than occupied with himself rather than with your family but luckily, it was quite the opposite.
“Aein.” The sudden movement of your husband made you lift your head from his shoulder, watching as his closed his book, before he looked down at you with a somehow shocked expression. “Did we – did we just get excited about a set of – plates?”
Confused, you kept looking on your husband with wide eyes, trying to bring his words and actions together, until it finally hit you.
“Oh my god. Yes we did.” You whispered in shock, sitting up straight. “We just got excited about a set of plates. What did just happen.”
With your hand still placed on his chest, you both kept looking at each other. Namjoon and you had been together for more that 5 years now, but you had known each other for countless years before. You had been through high school together, and you had definitely been through some adventures and crazy times together.
Those teenager-times had gone by and the both of you had come together. You both had built up a strong relationship, even though you both had to manage your careers meanwhile. But that never meant that you had become boring in some way. Sneaking out at the dorms at night or wild make-out scenarios during his dance breaks had only been two examples of how you had developed together.
Even more year had went by and suddenly, you had become pregnant, bringing both, Namjoon and you, over the moon. That had been the moment you had finally grown up fully together, which was exactly the situation you found yourselves in right now, getting excited over a set of plates.
Meanwhile, Namjoon had broken away from his shock stare. He carefully took your hand away from his chest and brought it up towards his mouth, placing a big kiss on the soft skin.
“Oh my love.” He mumbled, lifting his gaze to meat yours. “I think we are getting old, hm?”
Even though such a realisation was hard to do, it somehow felt right to start that mew chapter in your lives together. Even though if that meant to be excited about a bunch of plates.
“It seems so.” You whispered back, leaning forward until your forehead were touching. “Next time we will get excited is about our new dentures.”
Namjoon chuckled slightly, before bending down to kiss your lips.
“As long as you are by my side when I get those dentures, I will always be excited about it.”

[chapter 15 ||| chapter 17]
„Okay, how does this look?” All the boys looked up when Hope walked around the corner and into the living room.
It was the day before Hope would start her first day of working and right now, the boys were all helping her with choosing the right outfit for that special day. She had started with some simple dresses, which had left Jimin’s open in amazement.
He had always thought of her as a beautiful girl, but seeing her in those dresses that had hugged her waist and chest perfectly was a picture he would never forget again. When he had looked from side to side, he had spotted the other boys making the same faces as him.
Right now, Hope walked into the living room, wearing a black, tight trouser, combined with a white blouse and a black jacket. Jimin felt like she was walking in in slow-motion. In his eyes, everything she was putting on her body was fitting perfectly.
“Wow.” He whispered under his breath, as the girl stood in front of them and in front of the large mirror that was hanging next towards the front door.
She was turning her body from side to side, sliding her hands over her shirt and trousers from time to time and knitting her eyebrows together. Jimin absolutely adored those small habits of her, like she would chew on bottom lip every time she was concentrating, or how the cringes would form on her forehead when she was thinking about something really hard.
“Hope, you look amazing.” Jungkook stood up from the sofa and walked up towards the smaller girl.
When he reached her, he took her left hand, lifted it up and just twisted her around. Hope began to giggle, before she fell against the bunny’s chest and placed her hands there. Jimin should probably feel jealous or hurt while watching that scene in front of him, but he didn’t. Not even when the younger boy bent down and pressed kiss towards the girl’s cheek.
By now, he was so used to Jin and Jungkook that he almost saw them as his brothers as well. He just felt that somewhere deep down, there was a deeper connection between them. The white tiger wasn’t quite sure what the connection between them was, but he was sure that the other were feeling the same way.
Jimin didn’t realize that he had been spacing out, until his brother beside him slightly nudged his arm.
“Close your mouth, or you will catch flies while staring at her.” He joked, before he was throwing his arm around the smaller boy’s shoulders and pulling him closer. “How cute. You were drooling over her again.”
“Like you.” He joked back, poking Taehyung’s side, who’s cheeks were slightly redden now.
Taehyung had gone through a major change since the both of them had been living here. He had been a grumpy boy in the beginning, but now, he was a normal boy. He would show more physical affection to him but also to the other two hybrids and even towards the girl.
It made Jimin happy to see his brother’s transformation but also his own. He was not the shy, and shaking boy anymore. The white tiger had learnt that he actually was a pretty physical person. He loved to hug and cuddle with other people, showing them how much he liked them and how thankful he was. He was thankful that Hope had taken them in, that Jin had given him his trust from the first
night, and he was thankful that Jungkook had given him and his brother a chance to live here.
He even had found his passion for music and dancing a few days ago when Hope had given him her MP3 player. It was amazing what his body was able to do and how to move to the beat of the music. If he would ever have the chance to lean a profession, he was sure that he wanted to do something with dancing and singing.
His gaze fell on the girl once again. When she had come home yesterday, she had pretended to be sad when actually she got the job she had ever wanted. Now, she had a real chance to change something in this world and maybe, just maybe, Jimin could someday make his dream come true.
“Are you nervous, Hope?” Hobi’s voice pulled him out of his mind.
The white fox had wrapped a fluffy blanket around his shoulders and was now sitting crossed legs on the couch. Jimin had noticed that Hobi was a pretty curious and open minded person. He never seemed to be scared to ask questions, and he would always listen to every little detail he was told.
“To be honest, yes.” Hope drove one of her hands through her thick hair, before she let herself sink down onto the corner of the sofa. “I mean, it is good to be nervous, isn’t it? I should be worried if I wasn’t, but I am also a little bit scared that I won’t do a good job and that maybe –“
“You will be the best lawyer girl, Hope.” Jimin pushed Taehyung’s arm off of his shoulder moved closer towards the girl, before he took her left hand. “I know it.”
“Yeah, you will.” Jungkook sat down next to her other side. “You will safe all Hybrids who need help and then the world will be a better place for everyone.”
Jimin didn’t miss the red shade that was now covering her plump cheeks. She pushed a strand of her almost golden hair behind her ear, while she started giggling slightly.
“But please, don’t bring all of them here with you.” Tae mumbled, as he was still laying on his back with his eyes closed.
By now, the girl’s giggles had turned into a real laughing, and as the corners of her mouth went up, Jimin could only stare at that beautiful pair of dimples that were now forming on her cheeks. Automatically, he started laughing along with her.
In that moment, Jimin realized how lucky he had been. Of course, there had been hard times for him and his brother in the past, but he knew that from now on, his life was heading into the right direction.

“You must be Ms. Carson, right?” The brown haired woman smiled widely at Hope, as she stretched out her hand. “It is so nice to finally have amplification to our small team. We need every possible support. I am Laura and I will show you around today.”
Still overwhelmed from all the new surroundings and people, Hope carefully shook the woman’s hand.
“Hello, Laure. Please, call me Hope.” She politely answered and let go of Laura’s hand.
Laura was a taller woman with wavy brown hair that fell over her shoulders and chest. Her smile was authentic and bright, and Hope immediately felt a heavy weight falling from her shoulders. The fear that she would not get along with her new colleagues had held her wide away through the previous night. But now, as she already had met a few people, she knew that she would not have to worry about anything.
“Okay, Hope.” Laura turned around and started walking down the hallway with Hope walking beside her. “Firstly, I want to show you the building a little bit. You will be confused, but I promise that you will get used to it in just a few days.”
Together, the two girls made their way from door to door, looking into different rooms and sections of the company. The building was located a little bit outside the city of New York in an older building, but that didn’t change the fact that inside, it looked exactly like Hope had imagined it.
After the reception and waiting area, Laura first showed Hope alle the meeting rooms where they would hold their weekly conferences, but also important customer talks or presentations. All the meeting rooms were completely surrounded by glass windows, so you could see right inside without hearing anything.
When they kept walking through the hallways, Hope suddenly spotted that one of the 4 meeting rooms was currently used by a smaller amount of people. Hope watched with wide eyes, how one of the men bent over a sheet of paper at the desk, pointing his pencil onto it. He was talking to a woman, who was standing next to the table and was looking at the sheet of paper as well.
But what fascinated Hope the most was that when the woman took a step to the side, she could actually see the reason she came here for. Opposite of the man in the black suit and next to the woman was a Hybrids boy sitting. The boy was carefully listening to what the men and woman were explaining to him, because he had his golden ears up in hight in the air.
From his body expression, Hope could see that there was still a hint of fear in his eyes. While he had one of his eyebrows cocked up, he also had wrapped his slim, long tail with the fluffy tip around his calve.
“What you are seeing there is one of our newest cases.” Hope just noticed that she had stopped walking when she saw Laura walking back towards her with a small smile on her face. “Adam Neil is a lion Hybrid. He wants to lawsuit against his adoption in court, because his owner locked him up in the basement for a few days. It took him a while to finally talk to us but now, it’s going forward for him.”
Hope didn’t miss the bitterness in Laura’s voice as she talked about the lion’s case. Her eyes were fixed on the boy, as Hope’s curiousness grew more and more. She wanted to ask more questions about every little detail of the case, but Laura had already started walking again.
They took turn after turn until they reached another section. Down the hallway, there were several doors on either side. Most of those doors were closed, but some were also opened so Hope could peak inside. The rooms weren’t big, but inside, they all had a desk and many book shelves.
“Those are our offices.” Laura pointed her fingers from door to door, as they kept walking down the hallway. “We do most of our paper work in here – and believe me, you will have a lot of paper work to do – but we also have private talks with clients here. You will have your own office once your trial period is over. Until then, you will help out in my office.”
“Wow.” Hope whispered, before she quickly walked up beside Laura. “This is amazing. I can’t wait to finally have my own cases.”
Laura looked down at the smaller girl with a slightly smirking expression.
“You remind me of myself, when I was just starting here.” She laughed and took another turn into another hallway. “I came from university and couldn’t wait to go in front of the judges. I can see how passionate you are, Hope. We need people like you, who want to defend our clients until the last second. May I ask you where that passion is coming from?”
Immediately, a large smile formed on Hope’s face. It was the though at her boys who were currently waiting for at home, but also the memory at her mother who raised her to be that open minded person she was now.
“I – my mother taught me that we all are equal.” She said and looked up at Laura. “She worked in the hospital and saved some Hybrids during her career. It made me so proud, and I just wanted to do the same things as her. I just think that we are living in a crual world, you know? People say that they changed their minds, but they also torture living beings at the same time.”
This time, it was Laura who stopped in her tracks. She turned around in one smooth movement and looked down at the blond haired girl with wide eyes.
“You are really mature for your age, but I like it.” She said, before she carefully walked closer and laid her hands on Hope’s shoulders. “You will fit perfectly in here.”
Both girls continued their tour through the building. The next section was a very special and rare among all companies for Hybrid rights. The company had built a small, separated building next to the main house, that was just meant for the clients to live in. If a Hybrid would decide to accuse someone or lawsuit someone in court, his owner would probably not welcome them back home with open arms. The company provided them a bed to sleep and something to eat while they had to wait for their verdicts.
Hope had seen all kinds of Hybrids walking around in that building. Some of them looked at her in a scared way, other were more open and asked her what she was doing there. Every time Hope had told them that she was a new addition to the company, the Hybrids’ eyes would began to sparkle with hope. Sadly, they couldn’t stay as long as Hope wanted to stay, because they had a strict schedule.
“Okay, we are now coming to our last section. In those rooms, there are the interrogations are taking their places.” Laura explained, before she turned around o face Hope directly. To the smaller girl’s surprise, her face was now worried and strict. “We have all kinds of cases there. The ones who came willingly, but also the ones who have to. For the papers, every Hybrid has to deliver a statement, but as you know, most of the judges doesn’t care about that. Like I said, it’s just for the papers.”
Laura pushed open a new door and lead both of them into a totally new room. The room looked similar to the reception room they had passed in the beginning of their tour. There was also a reception and many, different doors on every side of the room.
“We will also start our work here.” Laura told her, as she showed the lady at the reception her ID-card and walked towards a big shelf with many different folders. She grabbed one of them and shoved it into Hope’s arms. “Here. Our long-time and hardest case. He was accused for aggressive behaviour against state authorities. He had been here for almost two months now, but unfortunately, we don’t know anything about him, because he refuses to talk to us. His court date is in 30 days, and if we don’t get his statement, he will go straight to jail for several years.”
Hope’s heart was racing in her chest when she opened the folder with the Hybrid’s information.
Name: Kim, Namjoon
Date of bird: 12th September 2026
Breed: Mexican Grey wolf
Origin: Seoul, South Korea
Accusation:
Illegal abidance without a registration, resistance to state orders, aggressive behaviour against state authorities
Hope’s eyes fell onto the picture that was pinned at the top of the file. It showed a picture of an actually beautiful, young man who looked pretty tiredly and powerless into the camera. Immediately, Hope had the feeling that she should protect that boy from everything. The way his emotionless eyes were looking into the camera made it clear that he had already given up.
“What are we going to do with him?” Hope carefully asked but never took her eyes off of his picture.
“The same procedure as every day.” Laura dryly answered, before she walked towards the last door at the end of the room. “We will try to talk to him. If he answers, we can finally take a step forward and if not, we will do the same tomorrow.”
Hope closed the boy’s file and walked with confident steps towards her new college. She was determined that she would help this boy at all it would cost. She took a last, deep breath, as Laura pushed the door of the interrogation room open.
The room was decorated decent with only a table in the middle, a small cupboard and some flowers. It didn’t look intimidating though. On the other side at the window was a boy standing. He had his back turned towards both woman and was not turning around when they entered, his grey, fluffy tail was waving slowly from side to side.
Even from the distance, Hope could see that Namjoon was pretty tall and muscular. The grey jacket he was wearing was falling over is broad shoulders and over his baggy pants.
“Good morning, Namjoon.” Laura calmly said towards the boy, who had suddenly stopped to swing his tail around. “I brought a guest with me today. This is Hope. She is working with us from now on, and I hope you don’t mind her being here with me.”
Hope took another step further inside the room, with her eyes still fixed on the only boy here. Namjoon took a few deep breaths, before he slowly turned his head around. Hope held her breath when his sharp, dark eyes met hers for the very first time. For the split of a second, they just stared into each other’s eyes like there was nothing else around them, before Namjoon moved his eyes up and down her body an turned back to look out of the window.
Laura let out a small sighed of frustration. She gave Hope a last glance, before she sat down at the table. Hope on the other hand didn’t sit down. She guest that Laura and Namjoon had in some way a connection to each other and after all, Hope should just watch.
“So, how have you been, Namjoon?” Laura tried again, talking directly towards the boy.
The room fell in silence for a few minutes. Namjoon completely ignored both woman who were still looking expectedly at the tall boy. He just kept looking out of the window, his tail slightly moving through the air. Hope could see the sadness in his deep brown eyes. He looked so tired and powerless, but not because he didn’t sleep, more because he had mentally no energy left.
“Okay, Namjoon.” Laura sighed again, before she opened up a small note book. “You know I will have to ask you the same questions as always. I would love to see you cooperate with us, so we can help you.”
No reaction. It seemed like Namjoon was blocking out everything Laura was telling him and Hope already knew why. Laura was a nice and calm woman, but her strategy to get him to talk was completely wrong. At least when it came to the wolf Hybrid. How could he possible trust Laura, when he had absolutely no emotionally connection to her?
It was something Hope had learnt in the last few months. The process of trusting someone, especially when someone had been hurt and betrayed so many times, needed more space and much more time. It was not enough for Namjoon to gain trust in someone who would only spend two hours a day asking him questions.
“Hope.” Laura turned her head towards the blond haired girl. “I will go and get the three of us something to drink. Do you think you can stay here alone?”
Hope quickly nodded her head, and Laura headed out of the room, leaving the wolf and the small girl alone. The tension in the room seemed to grow with every passing second. The girl knew that she had to be really careful with what she was saying and doing. He should know that she was someone he could emotionally trust.
Slowly and with small steps, Hope walked around the table and over towards the large window. Standing there with a certain distance to Namjoon, the small girl leant her hands onto the window sill and looked outside. It was obvious that the tall boy was yearning for freedom. Of course, he was practically free to do everything while he was living here but after all, he was also like a prisoner who was waiting for his last day to come.
“You are wasting your time here.” Namjoon’s deep voice suddenly filled the silence in the room. “They have sent many psychologists here to get me to talk. I don’t need this.”
Hope turned her head to face the boy to her left. Though he had sent his words into her direction, he was not looking at her. His grey and white ears were standing still on top of his head, while he was now wrapping his tail around his right leg.
Hope knew this gesture by now. Jin would always wrap his long tail around his left leg when he felt embarrassed or shy, while Jimin would always do it when he was scared or insecure about something.
“I – I am not a psychologist. I am a lawyer.” She almost whispered, as she turned her head away from Namjoon. “I just finished my university degree. That’s why Laura brought me with her today.”
From the corner of her eyes, Hope saw how Namjoon turned his head to look at her side. He looked at her for several seconds, before she could suddenly head him sniffing the air a few times.
“Your scent is – quiet unusual.” He stated and this time, it was her who turned her head.
A small smile formed on her lips. She knew exactly what he was referring to when he mentioned her scent. Living together with 5 male Hybrids who wanted to cuddle as often as possible, left the girl covered in all of their scents.
“Our home is pretty hectical.” She laughed, before she lifted her gaze and met the boy’s eyes. “I live together with 5 Hybrids. All of the boys – they literally stumbled into my life, and it just clicked with us.”
Hope paid especially attention to use words like our home, together or us, to show Namjoon that she didn’t have any intentions to harm anyone. The tall boy on the other hand was now looking at her with wide eyes.
“You adopted 5 Hybrids?” He mumbled under his breath.
“No.” Hope replied calmly. “Just two of them. Jin and Jungkook have been living with me for several months now, but Jimin, Taehyung and Hobi have only been with us for a few weeks. We all are still getting used to each other, but yes, I – I also want to adopt them someday.”
Hope didn’t knew if it would be the right choice to tell him about how they all had ended up together, but he needed to knew where her passion to save Hybrids was coming from.
“I – I kind of rescued them.” She started talking again. “Jungkook and Jin came from a really bad home. Their owners had much money, but didn’t care about them. I found Jungkook by accident, and when he told me about his brother, I had no other choice than getting him out there. Later, I met Jimin. He and his brother needed help, so I offered them to stay with me and the boys. Hobi came to us a few days ago. He recognized Jin when we went shopping together. I saw and I still can see their suffers and I knew that they are safe with me. But I also know that thousands of Hybrids are not that lucky. That’s why I am here for.”
Both adults were now looking deep into each other’s eyes. Maybe Namjoon would not trust from one second to another, but he now had enough time to think about what she had told him and after all, he already spoke to her. That was a good sign.
“I am not here for the papers or to tell you some psychical stuff, Namjoon.” She said again after a few seconds of silence. “I know how hard it is for you to open up. I went through it more often than I would like, but I will defend you in front of the court, whether you talk to me or not.”

[chapter 14 ||| chapter 16]
“Are you excited for the day, Kookie?” Hope asked happily, as she walked around the car.
A few days ago, she had promised Jungkook that they would spend a day on their own, because with all the boys home it could get really hectical sometimes. Together, they wanted to go to the park, walking around and maybe making a picknick somewhere. Luckily, Jin had prepared them a few sandwiches this morning.
“Yes, I am.” The bunny stepped out of the car and stretched his arms in the air.
The weather was actually really beautiful, because it was a little bit sunny and warm, but not too warm for wearing a beanie. Like this, Jungkook could hide his ears with no one noticing. When he opened his eyes again, he looked happily at the girl, before he reached for her smaller hand and both of them began to walk towards the park.
As they were walking, Hope noticed for the first time how other people would see them. Since they were holding hands, the people passing by would probably think that the two of them were together in a relationship. Her cheeks went red when she thought about that.
Her gaze fell onto the boy next to her. Jungkook had his eyes closed, as the sun fell right onto his face, letting his skin glow. He looked so healthy and happy, nothing left from the shy, skinny boy she had found in the alley several month ago. She caught herself watching the shape of his nose and lips closely, bringing up the memory of that night where they had almost kissed into her head.
But still, there was one thing missing in the picture of his beautiful face. The poor boy still had to hide his long floppy ear that the girl loved so much. She loved to driver her fingers through the soft, grey fur, all the way up from the base towards the white tip and that back towards his dark hair. In that moment, she wanted to pull his beanie form his head so bad, showing all the people the true boy, but she knew that Jungkook would feel uncomfortable.
“Are you enjoying this?” He suddenly asked and turned his head down towards her, catching Hope completely off guards. “Just walking around, I mean.”
If it was possible, her face became now even more red when she realized that he didn’t meant her staring. She quickly cleared her throat and ripped her gaze away from his face.
“Y – Yes, I do enjoy it.” She said, trying to steady her voice. “It has been a long time since I have found the time to do something like that. But it is nice to actually clear my head like this.”
The boy just nodded, before he squeezed her hand a little bit tighter.
“Me too.” He eventually said after a few seconds of silence. “Especially with you. Doing something simple like this is anything I have ever wished for. Even though I have to hide my ears, I don’t care.”
Hope gripped his hand tighter when he spoke, pulling herself closer to press her face against the soft fabric of his jacket. Even though she had no extra senses to fully smell the boy’s scent, she caught catch at least the slightest hint of his masculine smell. Immediately, her heart began to beat faster.
Together, they kept walking a little while longer, talking about anything that came into their minds, until Hope spotted an empty bank. Both of them agreed to take a seat and take their picknick there. Jungkook placed the backpack he had insisted to carry, because it would be ‘heavy’, in between them, and both began to eat their sandwiches.
“Did I actually tell you that I have a job interview soon?” She swallowed the last piece of bread down and cleaned her mouth with a tissue.
She had told Jin a few days ago, that she applied to that lawyer firm in New York that were standing up for Hybrid rights in front of the judge. Jungkook’s eyes went wide, before a large smile formed on his beautiful lips.
“Are you serious?” He breath out, reaching over and grabbing her hand carefully. “That is great. I am so happy and proud at you.”
Hearing him saying that he was proud of her was making her cheeks blush again. She tried to hide it with a few giggles, making the boy giggling as well. But suddenly, Jungkook stopped and looked pretty serious into her eyes.
“But will you still have time for us once you will have started working?” He asked in a small voice.
“Of course, I will.” The girl slide a little bit closer towards him, giving attention to not let their hands go of each other. “I will always have time for you, Kookie. You guys are my number one priority.”
Jungkook was still not looking up into her eyes. He kept his head down and carefully slide his thump over the soft skin of the back her hand.
“But what if you will find a boyfriend.” He almost whispered. “Will there be space for us anymore?”
Hope chuckled slightly. It was cute how worried and protective the bunny was about his brothers, but inside in, she had known for a long time now, that there would not be a stranger boyfriend in her life. It were the simple things that would make her heart beat faster, like Jin hugging her from behind while she was cooking, or Jungkook holding her hand and sliding his thumb in small circles over her skin.
Lately, she even had taken Jimin and Taehyung into her heart, even though they hadn’t know each other for long. Those boys had made their way into her life and straight into her heart, making it difficult for her to organize her emotions. Could it be possible that she was developing feelings for all 4 of them at the same time?
“I don’t think I will find myself a boyfriend so quick.” She tried to overplay her awkwardness. “But what is about you? Should we find you a cute bunny girl?”
Immediately, Jungkook’s head shot up, and sharp eyes were looking into hers. He squeezed her hand even tighter, before he shook his head wildly.
“I don’t want a cute bunny girl.” He stated with a steady voice, making Hope think that she might had overstepped the border. “Besides, I already have a mate.”
The last part he mumbled more to himself, but Hope could clearly understand the word ‘mate’ from which she didn’t know what it meant. She wanted to ask the boy, but she decided against it, not wanting to upset Jungkook more. It should be a happy day for both of them.
She leant her head against Jungkook’s shoulder an closed her eyes, enjoying the warmth of the sun that was shining into her face. Both stayed like that for another few minutes, before Hope felt Jungkook’s nose nuzzling into her hair. She opened her eyes again and looked upwards.
It was just now that they found themselves once again int the same position like they had been a few days ago in her bedroom. Their faces just inches apart, noses almost nuzzling against each other, but this time, there was nothing that could interrupt them.
Slow-motion-like, Jungkook face came closer, until she could feel his hot breath on her lips. Hope could swear that her heart would spring out of her chest any second. Never in her life had she been that close to someone, but in that moment, there was no one she would rather be in that situation as with Jungkook.
Time seemed to stop when their lips met properly for the very first time. Carefully, Hope started moving them after a few seconds, exploring Jungkook’s mouth while steading herself by pressing her free hand against his chest.
A million questions were racing through her head, as Jungkook started to move his lips more passionately against hers. What would happen after this kiss? Would their relationship change now? Would they be together? What would be about the other boys that had a place in her heart?
All those thoughts faded away and her mouth escaped a small gasp when they both pulled away, facies staying close. Both were now looking into each other’s eyes, cheeks red and not knowing what to say.
“Look at those two.” They suddenly heard an older lady say towards her husband, as they were passing by. “Isn’t young love beautiful?”
Jungkook and Hope were looking back at each other, breaking out in small laughers. The boy wrapped his arms around Hope, pulling her closer and leaning his head against her hair. Both of them stayed like this the rest of the day.

“Out of the kitchen, woman!” Jin pretended to scare the girl away with his wood spoon, before she fake-whined and quickly walked out of the kitchen. “I have to concentrate in here!”
She turned her head back and stuck out her tongue, before she looked around for something else to do while Jin was preparing the dinner. She spotted Taehyung, Hobi and Jungkook sitting on the sofa with their fingers sliding over the controllers wildly, while they screamed some comments from time to time.
It was amazing how fast the boys had accepted Hobi in their circle. Just after a few days, they were already joking along with the older boy, laughing and playing together like they had known each other for years. It made her happy. Hobi was a great person, always funny hand happy.
When her gaze fell onto Jungkook, her cheeks redden. The memory of earlier came into her mind, but she had to remind herself that drooling now wouldn’t be suitable. She sighed and was about to sat down next to them, when she noticed that there was one boy missing.
Jimin was nowhere to be found in the living room or in the kitchen, which was quiet strange, because normally, he loved to hang out with his brother and Jungkook, and if he wasn’t with them, he usually would be with Jin.
She walked down the hallway when she already heard a soft humming coming from the two tiger’s room. Hope slowly pushed the door open a small gap, peeking her head into the room. Jimin was laying back down on the bed, his eyes were closed the small ear buds she had given him a few days ago in his ears.
He must have smelled the girl coming inside, because he suddenly opened his eyes and looked towards the doorway. When he spotted the small human, he pulled out the ear buds and smiled wildly at her.
“Hello, Hope.” He sat up straight, as she walked closer towards the bed. “Come and sit down with me.”
Jimin was always a warm and welcoming person. Every time she saw him, he had his wide, beautiful smile on his face, making his eyes from into half-moons and her knees weaken. When she sat down on the bed next to him, he laid himself back onto his back and with his head into her lap.
“Why aren’t you with the others?” She carefully asked him, before she began to slide her hands through his thick hair.
Jimin hummed a little bit, before he closed his eyes again and pushed his hands further into her hands.
“I wanted to listen to some music.” He simply said. “Thank you again for the MP3 player, Hope. I love it.”
They stayed in that position for a little while longer, just enjoying the moment together. She had grown attached to Jimin really quick. His sweet and lovely personality made it hard for someone to not love him.
“Did you had a great time with Jungkook today.” He suddenly whispered into the dimmed room, not trying to hide the smile in his tone.
Hope was glad that the room was a little bit darker, because for the thousandths time that day, her face went red as a tomato. She awkwardly laughed and shifted around the mattress before she could find her voice again.
“I – “ She stuttered, not knowing if she should tell him or not, but it wanted to come out of her. “We – ehm – we kissed.”
She was giggling like a little school girl while talking, trying to cover her embarrassment. Jimin was now chuckling as well.
“I know.” He confessed, and she could practically see the smirk on his face. “You smelled more intensive like him when you came home earlier. I could tell straight away that something happened.”
A gasp escaped her mouth when he told her about that. If he smelled it, the there was no doubt that the rest of the boys had smelled it too. She wanted the ground to open up and swallow her away forever.
Before she had the chance to think about it further, Jimin had already pushed himself up from her lap, and was now wrapping his arms around her waist, pulling her close towards his chest. Instinctive, she placed her head onto his shoulder while he snuggled his head into the creak of her neck, moving it carefully around. This gesture didn’t stay unnoticed by Hope, because she knew this gesture form Jungkook.
“Jimin?” She slightly chuckled as his breath tickled her sensitive skin. “Are you scenting me?”
The white tiger hummed a little bit, causing a wave of shover over her spine, before he pulled away. For a moment, they were just looking into each other’s eyes, before Jimin moved his hands to screech his neck.
“I am sorry.” He quietly whispered, pressing his ears flatly against his head. “It’s just – you smell so strongly like Jungkook and that just triggered my – my instincts. I am sorry.”
Hope chuckled at his cute stuttering. Though they had known each other for a few weeks now, Jimin would still get shy over the simplest things sometimes.
“It’s okay, Jimin.” She said, before he laid his head back into her lap.
As she drove her hands through his thick hair, she sunk back into her thoughts. She had never thought about the boys actually having animal-like instincts. Of course, she knew that their ears and noses were really sensitive, but she had also heard about other – needs – that Hybrids would develop while living together with a girl. Her cheeks blushed immediately when she thought about that.
“What are you thinking about?” The boy in her lap suddenly asked, looking up at her.
With redden cheeks, she quickly tried to find an answer when suddenly that one question popped up in her mind.
“How – how do I smell actually?” That question had been burning in her head ever since she had met the boys. “Do I smell – okay? I mean, do I smell like sweat or something, because if I did it – “
“Do you smell okay?” Jimin had abruptly pushed himself up from her lap and was now facing her directly. “Your scent is absolutely….amazing. You can’t imagine it, but a scent isn’t comparable to – sweat. I don’t know how to describe it, but every time you enter the apartment your scent is flashing me and the other boys. It smells so sweet and clear but also natural at the same time. Just amazing.”
With every word Jimin was using to describe her scent, her cheeks would blush more and more. She would have ever guessed that the boys enjoyed smelling her. Not knowing what to do, she began to twirl a strand of her hair around her finger while starting to laugh awkwardly.
“O – okay.” She eventually stuttered between her giggles. “Thanks, I guess?”
Though it was an uncommon way to compliment someone, she somehow felt proud to hear those words from the male. Never in her life had some boy made a compliment to her. Only her mother had told her often that she was a beautiful, but that was different.
Since she had been living with the boys, she had got a lot of compliments. Jin would often tell her that she was beautiful or that she would be cute when she couldn’t reach the top shelf, because she was tiny. Jimin had told her that he liked her scent, but he had often told her that he liked to hug her, because he felt comfortable around her. Taehyung was another thing. Though their relationship had made much process, he was still more reluctant when it came to compliments. Jungkook on the other hand made a lot of compliments. What she loved that most was that they all really meant what they said, not just like telling a phrase.
When she thought about Jungkook, her thoughts drifted back towards the scene where both of them had been sitting on the bank in the park together. Jungkook had seemed to be pretty upset when she had joked about finding him a bunny girl, before he had said something about ‘finding his mate’.
“Jimin.” It was just now that he realized that she had said his name pretty often today. “What is a mate? I heard Jungkook talking about it, but I didn’t know what he meant by that.”
Jimin cocked an eyebrow up, his ears standing up high in attention.
“He told you about it?” He asked, his voice was holding a hint of surprise and confusion.
“He just told me that he already has a mate.” She quickly answered. “Whatever that means.”
The white tigers chuckled slightly, before he sighed and scratched his neck, obviously looking for the right words.
“A mate is something like – what do you call it – marrying someone?” He began, before he sat up straight across from her. “Or more like a soulmate! You met a special person you love and with whom you want to spend your whole life together. You have no influence on the time you will meet your mate, under which circumstances or who he or she is.”
Jungkook had a mate? Someone he loved? Somehow, that hurt her more than she thought. It was not like she was not happy for him, because everything she wanted was that her boys could feel happy in their lives.
“But – but –“ Her mind was suddenly filled with thousands of questions. “ – what do you mean by who he or she is?”
“It means that there are no rules for finding one’s mate.” While he was talking, a small smile was forming on his face. “Age, gender, religion, race, breed – it doesn’t matter, everyone is just equal. Boys mate with boys, girls mate with girls, Christians mate with Muslims, Hybrids mate with human. Love has no definition in that point. There are even cases where Hybrids have more than one mate.”
Her heat shot up at that statement and her heart was suddenly pounding in her chest. On the one hand, it should make her happy that it was possible for Hybrids to find their mates in a human – like her – because in her heart she had known for a long time that she like her boys very much, but on the other hand, was there actually a chance all of them would feel the same for her too?
“What if one partner doesn’t want to be the mate of the other?” Her voice got quieter and quieter.
“Usually, mates are destined for each other, but of course, there are cases where one partner doesn’t accept his mate.” Jimin began to talk again, and Hope could tell that he was pretty serious about that topic. “It’s one of the worse cases ever. Losing our mate is like someone rips out a part of your heart. It’s very hard to get over the pain.”
Hope gasped slightly. She knew how much it hurt to loose someone you love deeply, but she didn’t know if that was comparably with losing your mate.
“How do you know who your mate is?” She almost didn’t dared to ask more question, not wanting to step on Jimin’s nerves, but somehow she got more and more interested with every new detail about that topic.
“I don’t know about you humans.” Jimin lifted his hand to scratch his neck, a slight tone of red was somehow covering his cheeks now. “But we Hybrids, we can smell it. It is the best feeling ever when you find your mate. It feels like you have thousands of butterflies in your stomach every time you see her – or him! Yeah – ehm – and you just want to be with your mate all the time, hugging him, marking him and just be together. It’s great.”
“Marking?” Hope had the feeling that with every word she got more and more confused.
“Hmm.” Jimin hummed. “It means that you bite your mate somewhere on his neck or shoulder to leave a mark there. When you mark your mate, it means that you will be together forever.”
Every word Jimin was using, she could hear the passion and love he put behind it, just like he had already felt all of that. She wanted to feel that too.
“Did – did you already find your mate?” Actually, she didn’t want to hear his answer, knowing that it would probably hurt her.
Jimin hesitated for a while, before he bent his head to the side, smiling almost unnoticed by her.
“I would say that Tae is my mate in some way.” His eyes sparkled slightly when he talked about his brother. “We are just clicking with each other and I love to hug or to cuddle with him, but yes, I – I think I also have another mate somewhere.”
When he showed her his perfect smile, Hope just couldn’t destroy his happiness by showing him that it hurt her. She just leant forward and hugged the boy tightly, burring her head into his neck.
“I am so happy for you, Jimin.” She whispered.

“Okay, gentlemen.” Jin looked at the 4 boys in front of him, who were sitting on the sofa in a row. “You all know that Hope has her job interview today, which is pretty exhausting for her. Therefore, we will make this evening as relaxing as possible for her. I – “
The leopard was interrupted by Hobi, who was carefully holding up his hand in the air, gesturing that he wanted to say something. He patiently waited for the older boy to give him a nod so he could start talking.
“What is a job interview?” The younger boy asked innocently.
Before Jin could answer his question, Jimin had already bent forward from the other side of the couch to look at Hobi.
“People are asking her a lot questions to see if she is suitable to work in their company.” He simply answered.
The fox cocked an eyebrow up, but eventually, he nodded after a few seconds and turned his attention back towards the oldest boy.
“Exactly, Jimin.” He showed Jimin a smile, before he was about to start talking again, when suddenly Taehyung was interrupting him. “That’s why –“
“Why are you even talking like that.” The black tiger asked with a smirk on his face. “Are we some kind of soldiers now?”
Jin just rolled his eyes. Though Taehyung had laid off his bratty attitude some days ago, he still loved to teas and provoke the people around him.
“Because –“ He locked eyes with every one of them, before he continued. “ – I want you to understand the importance of the situation. Hope is doing everything for us. It would only be fair from us to support her whenever we can. She will be pretty exhausted when she is coming home, and that’s why we will cheer her up with the apartment already cleaned, the laundry washed and a prepared meal. Do you understand? Okay, then let’s go!”
Without any protest, all the boys stood up from the sofa and began to do their job. While Jin and Jimin went towards the kitchen to prepare dinner, Jungkook and Hoseok went towards the storage to get the vacuum cleaner and cleaning stuff, and Taehyung began to collect all the used clothes into a basket to sort and wash them.
When two hours had passed by, all the boys met up in the living room again.
“It looks pretty good.” Jungkook stated, as they were all staring at the set up table. “I think she will like it.”
The other 4 boys agreed with the youngest. They had really put all their effort in preparing a nice evening for them and especially the girl. They didn’t even had to wait long, because all of them were still standing in the middle of the living room when they heard the front door being pushed open.
“I am ba – “ The girl stopped in her mid-sentence when she saw all 5 boys turning around at the same time. “What are you guys doing? Oh no, did you break –“
“Hope!” Jungkook was the first one to break out of his staring.
He almost ran over towards the small girl and threw his arms around her, quickly followed by Jimin who pressed himself between the bunny and the girl. Jin on the other hand waited patiently for the younger ones to let go of Hope, before he pulled her into a tight hug himself.
Hobi and Taehyung watched the scene in front of them in very different ways. While the fox Hybrid stood a little awkward and dumb folded there, not knowing what to do or how to behave, Taehyung held his typical smirk on his face and his arms crossed over his chest.
“Hello, human girl.” He smirked, before he stretched out his hand towards her.
“Hello, Tae.” The girl just rolled playfully her eyes but eventually, she shook the taller boy’s hand slightly. “Hello there, Hobi.”
She happily waved at the older boy, before she placed her purse and coat onto the sofa. She took a deep breath and turned back towards the boys.
“Hope, you look sad.” Jimin carefully took a step forwards, while he fiddled with the hem of his shirt. “Did you not get the job?”
Hope didn’t answer for a moment. She took another deep breath, before she looked up with her big eyes, making the boys believe that Jimin guessed right.
“I – ehm – “ She cleared her throat, before her face suddenly changed and a scream left her mouth. “I got the job! I did it!”
