Two days later, after a lot of time spent studying flash cards and playing with blocks, it was once again time for Elijah’s birthday! This time, he got an awesome blue cake. Yum.
We really can’t deny it anymore, Elijah inherited his dad’s looks. Lucy’s still mourning Elias, but it’s getting easier every day. The older Elijah gets, the more of a distraction he becomes.
Obviously Elijah needed to get a big desk to do his homework on. He certainly can’t complain about having too few toys.
Fall came to an end and once again, it was time for Harvestfest! Lucy loves Harvestfest, and Elijah definitely inherited this. “Where did this gnome come from?!”
Honestly, NOT pleasing the gnomes is just as entertaining as giving them what they want. Elijah had a blast.
During the week, there’s a lot of studying and learning to be done. Elijah is working on becoming a better student, but creativity and reading stories is definitely better than homework.
On weekends, Lucy and Elijah visit the park. There’s lots of stuff to do, people to meet, things to see!
Unlike his mom, Elijah is an absolute social butterfly. He met a bunch of friends in school, and it’s always fun to run into them at the park.
At home, the lack of siblings and pets means Elijah spends a lot of time playing on his own.
But now that he started school, he’s allowed to explore the neighborhood on his own. Public playground equipment, ice rinks, the possibilities are endless!
Elijah even started fishing sometimes. What can you do when there are no other kids around?!
Towards the end of the year, Lucy and Elijah spent a lot of time on homework and school project. Elijah is now a B student – Finally! We’re on the road to A’s!

Spring’s turning into Summer and guess who celebrated their first birthday! Elijah’s turning into a big boy and Lucy couldn’t be happier.
Elijah is everything Lucy could have asked for. The sweetest little boy who is absolutely eager to learn everything Lucy wants to teach him, including manners and lots of rules.
Elijah definitely inherited his mom’s love of the outdoors. They enjoy spending time in the garden.
Summer arrived and Lucy finally finished her life-time project: Newcrest’s Community Park! The park offers plenty of space for gatherings, ice cream and food booths, playground equipment for children of all ages, and lots of space and plants to view and relax.
Lucy finally got to take Elijah there for the first time, and he had the time of his life!
Back home, he went straight to sleep to recover from the day in the summer heat.

Part 3
Spring came, and Elias and Lucy took their relationship to all new levels. They may have taken some risks, but when Lucy realized she was pregnant, it still came as an enormous shock.
Lucy knew she had to get married before starting a family. It wasn’t the most romantic way to get engaged, but hey, there was a time limit!
For the wedding, Lucy and Elias created a festive space in the big garden of Lucy’s lot. They invited their 10 closest friends. Despite the pouring rain on the day of the wedding which canceled all plans of Djs and electronic equipment, it was a beautiful ceremony!
The day after the wedding, exactly 25 hours after saying their vows, Lucy had the shock of her life: Elias had passed away in the bedroom! Before he could even meet their baby!
Lucy was distraught. Happiness turned into sadness within minutes. There was no time for funeral proceedings.
...Because the day after her husband passed away, Lucy suddenly went into labor. Terrified of giving birth alone, she took her best friend Miko to the hospital for mental support.
Two days after the wedding, and one day after his father’s death, Lucy’s baby boy was born. In memory of Elias, she gave him the name Elijah.
Lucy took Elijah home. Suddenly there weren’t enough hours in a day to take care of a newborn, herself, her garden, AND mourn her late husband.
Lucy realized that her house was not suitable for raising a child. She had long since raised a bunch of excellent plants, had reached her goals for the community park lot, and decided it was time to move into the suburbs. She chose a small house with a garden just for her and Elijah.
Sure, the house was just as small as her previous home had been, but Lucy made sure to furnish it to give Elijah everything he could possibly need.

The next few weeks were spent raising her baby boy while working tirelessly on creating a beautiful community park for Newcrest.
Raising a baby alone is quite hard! Lucy found herself unable to leave the house much. Thank heavens for the TV her friends got her and Elias as a wedding gift.

Through her harvestables, Lucy earned enough money to upgrade her furniture! She also got a lot better at cooking, let’s forget the days of terrible meals.
Due to the sheer amount of flowers Lucy has been harvesting every day recently, she started doing some flower arrangements whenever she has spare time.
In a display of unusual courage, Lucy invited her maybe-sort-of-boyfriend Elias to spend Harvestfest at her house! He came over, and things went incredibly well. Lucy is convinced to ask him to be her boyfriend the next time she sees him. Elias is who she wants to start a family with!
Fall was spent making money, taking care of the garden, and enjoying the new-found romance with Elias. Lucy did have a big scare when she got kidnapped by aliens not once, but twice! Thankfully, these instances did not result in pregnancy. Life went on!
Lucy decided to sell her flower arrangements for more profit now that she had gotten better at them. Having regular yard sales was also a great way to meet new people.
Birthdays really creeped up on us this year – before Lucy knew it, she had turned older. As had Elias, to her surprise! Apparently, there was a bigger age difference than she had previously expected.
Lucy made a bunch of good friends this winter, and to end the year on a high note, she invited them all over to spend New Year’s at her place. What a party!
The countdown was a quiet, sweet affair just between her and Elias.

Part 1
Our Generation 1 Hermit is a Young Adult called Lucy Moya. She wants to be a Freelance Botanist, loves the outdoors and cooking, and is planning on starting the culinary career once she has finished setting up her green house. Lucy’s favorite color is green.
She decided to get the biggest lot in Newcrest so it can be turned into a big park when she’s ready to move out.
For now, she built a frugal little home with an easily expandable green house for her plants. Lucy doesn’t need much in terms of entertainment so her house only contains the utmost necessities. She did splurge on reasonable appliances since she will be spending quite a bit of time in the kitchen.
Lucy isn’t going to have a job for a while. She’s spending her days tending to her plants, meeting people, and taking long walks through Newcrest to find plants to harvest – and to search for frogs. Lucy LOVES frogs.
While gardening, she makes sure to spend as much time as possible with each of her plants. They all get fertilized, talked to, and tended to every day.
To help with cooking and since she does need a hobby, Lucy occasionally spends her time fishing. She especially likes fishing with the people she met at the park.
While fishing, Lucy found her very first Cowplant Fruit. What an exciting day! Unfortunately, the Cowplant died during a storm two days later. Anyway – Lifetime goal of planting a Cowplant: Achieved!
Did I mention that Lucy loves frogs? Her collection is steadily growing. She keeps one of every species, the rest is sold for some extra spending money.
