Creepin Inta Yer Heart - Chapter 10
But before he could go and dunk his head under the tap of the ensuite bathroom, the door of his room opens slightly and his sister’s face pops in. “Hey. Toya told me you were having a bit of a crisis. Can I come in?” Kiyoomi would hardly call it a crisis. Yes, his breaths have been getting progressively shorter as morning shifted to afternoon. And okay, he guesses he asked every one of his friends to vacate the room because he needed time to think and Wakatoshi’s concerned face was freaking him out. And fine fine, whatever, he can admit that he thinks the last time he ate food or drank water was yesterday at breakfast but that's just because his stomach is in knots and there’s no space.
The ten assumptions Kiyoomi makes about Atsumu and himself and the times he's proven wrong. Set against the backdrop of Creep -- the cover by Post Modern Jukebox.

Creepin Inta Yer Heart - Chapter 9
“It's only a few minutes til midnight,” Atsumu whispers. And it feels right to keep their voices soft. Like the moment that is building between them is as fragile as the snowflakes that fall and vanish as they touch skin. “Any New Year’s resolutions?” “I don’t believe in them,” Kiyoomi states simply. “If you want to make a change, I don’t believe that you have to wait for some arbitrary start date to do so.” “Really? Ya don’t see it as the start of somethin new?” Atsumu shakes his head, “I dunno. I think most everything can be seen as arbitrary so I’d rather see everything as significant and life-changin instead.” Kiyoomi thinks about that. It is so quintessentially Atsumu to be enamored by the simplest things. He loves it. He loves every little thing about him. “So, I assume you have a New Year's resolution then. What is it?”

unmoored - CHAPTER TWENTY-NINE
CHIRON steps in.
“Well,” Chiron said, folding his hands in his lap as he leaned back in his wheelchair. He gave each of them an appraising once over before his eyes landed on Annabeth. “I’m listening.”

Creepin Inta Yer Heart - Chapter 8
Finally, after a couple more seconds, his mom detaches herself from her son’s side and turns to Kiyoomi. He finally gets the chance to take in her appearance and damn does he understand why no one from MSBY is ever invited home. Petite and curvaceous, she stands no taller than 5’5, but he can already tell her presence can fill stadiums. Her chocolate brown hair is cut into a stylish bob that ends right below chin level and her charcoal eyes, closer to Osamu’s than Atsumu’s, swim with the mischief and mirth that he’s seen reflected so many times in his friend’s eyes. She has freckles that cover the bridge of her nose and a couple that dot her bottom lip. His mother is stunning. If Kiyoomi wasn’t so head over heels in love with her son, he might’ve done something stupid like ask if she needed a maid to clean the house for her.

Annabeth is one of the most respected characters in the Percy Jackson Universe since book 1. I don’t know where this “she has to fight to be respected” came from, except from that one scene in Mark of Athena and we have 10 books to prove why Annabeth is being an unreliable narrator in that scene.
Let’s start with camp. At 12 she is already cabin counselor, Chiron most trusted demigod to the point she has know the great prophecy for a while before Percy even arrived to camp. People almost immediately look to her, we know after Luke betrayal she and Percy became the unofficial camp leaders and then she was also the leader of the seven. She mentions everyone looked up at her for leading at the beginning of Mark Of Athena when they are about to arrive in New Rome. Percy and Jason giving up the head of the table seat to her, Hazel thinking “What would Annabeth do?” in House of Hades, Frank going to her for advice almost immediately after meeting her. No one has ever doubted Her intelligence or not taken seriously. Leo mentions once that after meeting Annabeth he will never believe in the dumb blonde stereotype, but that’s it. Well that and Annabeth trying to act dumb while throwing the dagger in the lake but she also points out anyone who knows her wouldn’t fall for her act but thankfully Octavian. But then again Reyna mostly talks with her out of the seven, again proving she also considers Annabeth the leader of the seven.
Annabeth is not the ice cold person the fandom acts like she is, she cries at least once per book and she is actually super friendly and hopes for the best in each person even with the odds against it: Luke, Damansen, Bob just at the top of my head. The only two characters she truly had has issues with are Rachel (because of jealousy) and Jason (because he is too roman and she is too greek) but both get worked out at the end. We know she has a lot of friends at camp, we know she know about Juniper and Grover dating before Percy, she instantly tries to make Hazel feel better in Mark of Athena (I think is when Frank and Percy were at the aquarium) Piper calls her one of the best friends she ever had. Yes, she was mean to Percy at first but that’s not usually how she is with most people and she only became worse with Percy after finding his dad is her mom’s rival and then they became best friends.
She has abandonment issues and is very insecure of herself. Everyone she loves leaves her at some point: Her dad changing her for a new family, Thalia becoming a tree and then leaving for the hunters, Luke betraying her. And yet, she is still adored and loved at camp.
Annabeth is smart but most of the times when she is reading books they are architecture related, she is not Hermione 2.0, please don’t make her to be. She is smart by nature, a mix of being an Athena kid and the fact most of the Chase family are like insanely smart (mentioned in Magnus Chase). She loves math but can’t spell, And let’s not forget she breaks rules left and right.
One of my most popular post back in the day is how Annabeth brakes rules because she doesn’t agree with them and Percy breaks rules because he has too. He actually worries when Annabeth is breaking rules (sitting next to him at the poseidon table, breaking curfew in Sea of Monsters, etc…) the musical had it perfectly when it comes to him “I swear, I swear that I'm a good kid, A good kid, who's had a bad run”. Annabeth in the other hand is used to get her way to the point she is absolutely shocked Coach Hedge grounded her in MoA after she and Percy fell asleep on the stables.
Annabeth Chase is a very complex character with a lot of emotions and she is one of the most respected characters in the PJO universe, thank you for coming to my ted talk.

izzy is a terrible cook, we know this. it's a running joke, how terrible she is in the kitchen. it's in fics and headcanons and memes and it's not incorrect! her food is canonically the worst. but i don't think we talk enough about how, no matter how bad her food tastes, she turns around and tries again. why she's still in the kitchen, why the hcs of her being a terrible cook last well into her adulthood when she very well could have just given up cooking, left it to others, relied on take out. we never talk about why she cooks.
i can't help but see this young girl who discovered at a tender age just how fractured her family was, how easy it would be to shatter this home that she relied on, that she wanted her baby brother to feel safe in. she's always been strong, capable, unwilling to back down from a fight, but here was this fight that she had no control over, this battle that she was forced to bare the burden of without having any way to relieve it. but cooking. cooking was something she could do, right? families had to eat. could a dinner table act like glue, keeping the pieces of their failing home pinched together even as max got older and their parents stopped having reasons to talk to one another? it was worth a shot. it was something she could do, without having to reveal what she knew. it was normal enough, a girl wanting to cook, and she was gonna use that as a weapon.
of course, isabelle is a terrible cook, and even if her family was so inclined to all sit in the kitchen together for a meal, they wouldn't enjoy it. not that they were so inclined, not that her cooking ever did much but annoy her brothers. but she kept going. kept trying, kept insisting that they try her food, kept filling the fridge with it.
and then max is killed. and then her parents get divorced. and then her dad also dies. still, izzy cooks. still, she tries new recipes and finds people to feed. she knows it won't fix anything. it's too late for that. but now there's comfort in it. like holding a whip in her hands, like feeling her pendant around her neck. in the kitchen, at least she's doing something. families need to eat, and she's gonna remind them until she can't anymore that she will be there paving the way to make sure the people she loves most are cared for, that they have something that feels like home. and the stove and the pot and the spoon in her hand are just another weapon she wields--as an offense, a defense, and a tool to push back her own fears and sorrows.
so yeah, izzy sucks at cooking, and who knows if she'll ever get better at it, but every time i see a joke cracked about her terrible spaghetti, i can't help but feel like the serious side of this all should have it's moment to be addressed as well. because it's always more than just food.

Creepin Inta Yer Heart - Chapter 7
“Whatcha lookin at so seriously?” Atsumu says as he leans his face next to Kiyoomi’s to try and catch a peek at what he’s doing on his phone. Kiyoomi’s soul just about ricochets out of his body. He flinches so hard that his phone jumps out of his hand and onto the floor. Atsumu goes to pick it up and Kiyoomi feels his stomach drop. He is up and out of his seat before Atsumu can stand up straight again, “Give me my phone,” he demands taking steps closer and reaching for the phone in his friend’s hand.  But because he’s awful and an instigator and maybe because he’s a twin, his instinct is to hold the phone further away from Kiyoomi. The fact that the screen went to sleep is a small mercy to him seeing as Atsumu knows his passcode and could very easily open it and see the incriminating words.  Oh my god, he needs his phone back now.
The ten assumptions Kiyoomi makes about Atsumu and himself and the times he's proven wrong. Set against the backdrop of Creep -- the cover by Post Modern Jukebox.

Creepin Inta Yer Heart - Chapter 6
But his issue isn’t decor. It’s the fact that he signed up for this photoshoot and it’s becoming increasingly clear what Tom Ford’s prerogative is. Some exec said “Sex Sells!” in a meeting fifteen years ago and they’ve run with it ever since. Atsumu seems to understand where his mental state is though because he places a steady hand at the small of Kiyoomi’s back and starts guiding them forward. “Relax, Omi-kun. It’ll all be okay.” Kiyoomi turns to him with a glare, “Miya Atsumu, if you tell me to relax one more time, I will step on you.” “Ooh is that a promise?”

Creepin Inta Yer Heart - Chapter 5
“Oh, it's going just great! I’m his best friend.” Motoya winces.  “Yeah so,” Kiyoomi shrugs, “Fuck me, I guess” “Oh, you so wish he would.” Motoya quips and looks very satisfied.
